  4. Halo: The Master Chief Collection Update Beta Before 343i releases the next update for Halo: The Masterchief Collection they want to beta teast it first. A few days ago the patch notes for the upcoming update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection were revealed on Halowaypoint and covered by EK. His article can be found here. But instead of the usual download prompt everyone gets the following week, a select group of people will get to beta test it first before it is released to the general public. Yes you read it right, a beta for an update. Members of the Xbox One preview programme located in North America will recieve a message from Xbox Live somewhere these days with an opt-in download to download the upcoming patch to beta test it. A Q&A on how this will all go down for the preview programme members in Noth America can be found here. The Beta will run from January the 23rd to January the 26th and will eat up 1-2GB of your HDD. The reason why it will only be tested in North America is to ensure a maximum amount of players during the evening in North America. Strictly business, no hard feelings A date for the public roll-out of the update has not been released yet. What do you think of this idea to beta test an update? Let us know down below! As always, thank you for reading! Source: Eurogamer

  12. Introduction: Hello there, I am Imperial Vice(Vice President) VG Ze Condor! I am looking for new recruits for The Unified Empire as we are a new clan that just detached from the military based clan GWF because they abandoned us on the Xbox One and we decided to form a new military based clan! Requirements: We only require a few things such as the changing of your armor colors, your emblem, your emblem colors, your service tag, your clan tag and your activity. Things We Do: As soon as we are at a good growth of about 20 members, we will start raid training which is fun to do(don't let the word training bug you) and we will be doing different custom game types as well. We sometimes are serious but only when we need to be serious and we are having fun the rest of the time. Looking For: We need loyal members that are experienced with military based clans as well as non-experienced. We need leaders that have led at least a 4 man team before. We need leaders that have led branches and even clans before. We need members that can be combat ready. We need active members. We need members who can be both serious and fun for the times when needed. Structure: The way our structure works seems to be fair in my eyes. If something is seen as a bad thing or as a flaw in the structure, I will try my best to make it right. Message me on Xbox One if you would like to join, ask questions or make an alliance. - Imperial Vice VG Ze Condor
  13. I've been looking for a good, well-rounded clan to join. However, there have yet to be many clan established on MCC, or rather, any that pique my interest. I've been dealing with clans since the days of the original Halo 2. I've seen my fair share of good, and, and great clans. I've come to realize that my best experiences have been with military role-play clans. By that I mean clans with military ranks and positions to differentiate between their members. I've led clans, I've been a lowly soldier in clans, I've been an adviser to clan leaders. With all of that experience and more, I've made a difference in some way in almost every clan I've been in. I can work wherever I am needed. If you are looking for an adviser for your work and to help you set something up, I can do it. If your looking for someone to help you lead, I can do it. If you're looking for a squad leader or some sort of drill instructor, I can do it. If you're looking for a motivational speaker for your soldiers, I can do that too. If you are looking for a soldier. I can do that. What I Have to Offer: A vast amount of experience Great people skills Great leadership skills Flexibility (Able to work anywhere) Opportunistic Trustworthy Intelligent The ability to handle situations accurately What I'm Looking For: Military Role-Play Style Fun Atmosphere Semi-Small Population (50-75 or less) Classic-Esque Experience Open Positions (Obviously) As I previously said, I have a large amount of experience and can fit anywhere in your clan. If you would like me to join you, then just leave a comment with your Gamertag, Clan Name, Position Offered (Optional), Any other comments. I will contact you as soon as I read your comment. Thank You
  14. Order of the New Atlas (ONA) is a sangheili clan based on the masterchief collection. We are hoping to raise up a formidable army much like our last on Reach. People joining this clan should expect strict leadership. ONA is a convalescent institute for players looking to build their skill. We see small custom games as a waste of our time (what you do with your time is your business while in the clan, do not expect clan time to go towards meaningless customs). Please don't contact us if... -You insist on yelling through your headset, at us or people around you. -You are younger than 13 (13 is still stretching it by our standards, be mature). -You can't speak English (pretty impressive if you could read this far). -You don't have a mic. -You are not willing to change your armor or emblem. -You will run off at the first sight of disciplin. Training is pretty straight forward. -team building skills and exercises. -BR skill building. -callout classes -advanced weopon training Send messages (xbox) to myself, Apex Arbiter, or imsupercooLL if you have questions or want to join.
  15. Ok, so 343's giving away all these great things to make up for the buggy servers and such. Every one who played the Master Chief Collection before December 19th is getting; 1 month of gold Halo 3 ODST exclusive avatars, and exclusive nameplates. Now I get that 343 is making up to the fans who had to put up with buggy servers, but the servers are still buggy. Still to this day I can rarely get into a game! And I started playing on December 26th. So, what I'm wondering is, what will the fans like me get for compensation? I feel like we are missing out on a lot of great content, just because we happened to wait a little longer to play, and are still facing the same issues as the people who played before the 19th. What do you guys think about this?
  16. Throughout my halo career I have delved into nearly every aspect of the games. I have vanquished covenant, silenced the flood, and conquered matchmaking. Now a new point has come, the weight of halo and it's responsibility lay on 343s shoulders. With this moment coming, I can only voice my opinion to the new parents of halo. My concerns are first laid upon the master chief collection. All bugs put aside, it shines bright in the collection of halo, however there are larger concerns. For example, custom games. I find it very difficult to connect with the community due to the games difficult setup. One feature in particular bothers me the most. This feature is the one that does not allow other players to join in a game in progress. Not only does this frustrate me, but it also grinds the gameplay to a halt whenever someone else wishes to join in the fun. This is a basic component to the game, and certainly lowers the value without it. Next is the upcoming title 'Halo 5: Guardians'. I am interested in the story of this game. 343 has done well in their campaigns so far, but yet again I am concerned for the multiplayer. Watching the gameplay I noticed many aspects that were questionable to the seasoned halo player. For instance, the automatic callouts during gameplay made me think the game was being dumbed down. Part of the competitive edge I enjoyed about having a team was being able to communicate exclusively. The tedious timing on weapon spawns gave a player the upper hand. However looking at this gameplay makes it look like there is little room to overcome your enemy in method. Halo 5 also concerns me in its customization. I myself have always found that halo has given the most expansive customization to its players, but looking into halo 5 it seems there will be less. I talk about the elite player models. I fear 343 will yet again forsake the elite choice as they did in halo 4. Having elites available open up many different opportunities. Machinamas, matchmaking games (invasion), or even a story connection, and if none of these, just basic preference. If you have successfully made it through my lengthy complaints, I thank you for listening. I only hope 343 will take my opinion into account, for there are many others like myself, one just needs to look. -Apex
  17. Hey people. I find it surprising that Microsoft is having bundles for Assassin's Creed and Sunset Overdrive but not for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Personally, I already have an Xbox One, but it would make things easier for my friends if they had a bundle for Halo or even a Halo-themed Xbox One console like has been done with previous Halo games. Maybe they are waiting for Halo 5: Guardians before going all out with a special console? What are your thoughts?
  18. Hello Everyone! I'm writing about this topic because after doing some research I seem to be the only one having this issue. Today I tried playing 3 player local matchmaking. The problem I had is that I could not play on any map except for Halo 1 maps. The maps would get the load screen and after a few seconds, it would state a message saying "loading incomplete". I had 2 xbox one wireless controllers and 1 xbox one wired controller. At first I thought it was the wired controller since it's a third party one but it wasn't because it worked with Halo 1 maps. As long as I had only 2 controllers set up, I could play on any map from any game. As soon as a third was connected, only Halo 1 would work. Am I the only one who experienced this? Will they be fixing this along with the Matchmaking updates? I understood the problems had to do with servers so it may just be my game. Please and thank you for your time!
  19. I'm going to start these playlists with a friend when he gets MCC for Christmas. We'll need two more partners for Halo 3 and 4. Anybody care to join? Respond to this topic if interested. My gamertag is cptvictor12.
  20. From the album: Photos

I made this in Photoshop a couple weeks ago.
  21. Hey everyone! I recently put together a music video telling the chronological story of Master Chief Petty Officer John 117, using the song "Warriors" by imagine dragons. Most of the footage used is from the updated cutscenes from the Master Chief collection. Enjoy!
  22. Halo: The Master Chief Collection FIXED?! As some of you might have noticed when you started The Master Chief Collection today, there's been an update (103MB). Is it finally fixed now?! Well the answer is both yes and no... Yes in that matchmaking works properly now. No more exessive waiting times and working consecutive matches. But no as in there are still a few kinks here and there. But luckely these will be fixed in the near future. Here are the patch notes: Made a change to allow for matches to start once minimum player counts are met, allowing for faster matching times. Made an update to resolve issues that caused false matches to be created, which resulted in a variety of matchmaking issues, including slow matchmaking and bad session starts. Streamlined the process for maintaining party continuity through the matchmaking process. Made an update to the high-level matchmaking flow that will reset lobbies after each match. Moving forward, players and party leaders need to press "B" after the post-game-carnage report, and select a playlist for their next match. This flow is consistent with previous Halo titles. Improved user experience through removal of non-actionable error messages. This will allow for a more seamless matchmaking flow with less interruption and confusion. Improved the post-game experience to fix an issue that could result in a player getting sent to another player’s lobby, rather than returning to the matchmaking screen. And my god what a difference this makes! I've done a test run on Halo today with 2 friends and we were just able to stick together in a lobby and keep on playing with no freezing or having to force quit the game. The only thing that does need to be noted is that team balancing might still be a bit off here and there with a one player difference between games. 343i has insured us that this issue will be adressed in the update next week. Have you experienced the improvement? Let us know down below! Thank you for reading! Source: Halowaypoint View full article
  23. So I am bringing this up because i was cleaning my Halo MCC disk and i noticed something that i have never seen on a disk in my life. I am asking each and every person who owns a hard copy of the halo MCC disk to check the back and see if this is on theirs as well, 100% of my friends that play have seen this and all have never seen this type of weirdness on their disks as well. i Believe that this may be part of the problem as some people are using the disk and some people are using the XB1 Store bought version of the game. The only way i can describe my disk is this: Every disk i ever seen the rainbow colors on the back shoot out from the center to the edge of the disk. ON my HALO MCC disk, i have noticed that the rainbow colors on the back of the disk are all over the place and looks to me almost like they melted in a way or like water. im not sure how to explain the back of my disk but i can say that I have never seen anything like it. Part of my belief here is that some of the problems may be because of this. some people are playing store bought and some are playing with the hard copy and their codings may be different in some way or something is corrupted on the disk itself. So.... maybe some one can enlighten me on what this really means or if it could be a problem at all.. im just saying that i've never seen this before on any disk i've ever seen and i've never had this many problems with a single game before in my life. im asking too, if you bought the game from the XB1 store, are you having as many problems as every one else? Trying to get to the bottom of this and help out halo as much as i can, because i love this game and a huge portion of my life revolves around this game, so im dedicated and willing to wait for the fixes to come through. hopefully i've stumbled upon something here. ALSO TOO I WANT TO WaTch nightfall!! iT says to BuY hALo?!!? PlEASE FIX THIs If Any one has a brand new copy of the MCC disk before installing games, i'd like to know if the same weirdness is on the back of that disk as well..
