  1. One of the most anticipated Minecraft Packs, the Halo Mash-Up Pack, has had a recent reveal of more screenshots for some pre-loaded fan-favorite maps from the old and new days. The Minecraft Halo Mash-Up Pack seems to be a block-filled redesign of some old fan-favorite worlds, as Halo Waypoint has shown. According to HaloWaypoint.com, in a short blog update, a short number of old favorites and new beauties will be included in the new world. These include the famous Blood Gulch, Lockout (or Blackout from Halo 3), Valhalla, Halo, Sandtrap, and Guardian to name a few of the multi-player ones, with Silent Cartographer and the Cryptum in which the Didact is awakened is also going to be included. 40 character skins will also be included in the pack, letting us play as some of our favorites from the series, on our favorite maps. As well, music and textures have been changed to make for an awesome new Halo experience on Minecraft. View attachment: Minecarfthalo.png What do you think of the return to our old favorite locations, are you excited to play on Blood Gulch, Lockout, or any other of the additions? Let me know below, thanks for reading!
  2. A colossal amount of information was just revealed for the Halo 5 Beta at HaloFest this year (I'm talking ALLOT of info). The whole video is at the bottom of this article. Oh, and I'm sure I got some of the information wrong, so feel free to correct me if you see any errors. Here's the gist: Everyone starts the same. Every Spartan Ability (I'll detail those later on in this article), and Weapon (starter primary, secondary, and grenades) is given to the player at the beginning. No Loadouts. Like how Halos 1-3 were played. All weapons contain a zoom feature, with some akin to ADS (Aim Down Sights). Not all weapons have this, like the DMR (the DMR is nearly the same as it's H4 counterpart Scope wise, and aesthetically). There seems to be a before, and after game animation for each Player Team that shows their aesthetics. The winning team taunts the other team in bravado. Everything listed in this article is based off of work-in-progress material in the Beta. So it's not final. The time the Beta releases makes it the earliest public Halo Beta ever released. There are a total of 7 maps that will be able to be played on in the Beta. There are now Weapons on map as in previous Halo games. NO MORE ORDINANCE. There will be three game modes in the Beta. What they exactly are is not clear, but it's certain Multiplayer is one of them. Power Weapons run on static timers. So a weapon like the Prophet's Bane comes around every 4 minutes. There's a Shield Bar, and Health Bar, but I'm not quite sure how they work. Random information from HaloFest: 343i has an internal Pro team they use to test the game. What's pretty funny is that they have Pros vs. Devs... and the Devs get completely destroyed in Halo 5 MP lol. One match was 50-4. Most of the play-testers (like Josh Holmes, some Pro players, and a few other devs) will be online playing with the community when the Beta launches. A couple celebrities came to HaloFest... like: Wayne Brady from "Let's Make A Deal" (that dude is hilarious), Joel Mchale from "Community", and Ben Schwartz from "House of Lies". Spartan Abilities / Movement & Scoping mechanics: Weapons: Maps: Allot of new armor was shown at HaloFest, but unfortunately I won't be able to detail them right now due to me already spending more than an hour on this article. The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta begins on December 29th, and runs for 3 weeks until January 18th, 2015. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thoughts? Source: YouTube
  3. Halo 2: Anniversary Forge As part of IGN first, 343i shows us how Forge will work in Halo 2 on their new 'Forge World'. We will start off with a huge blank canvas, everything you see around you is part of the skybox so you can do everything you want to do. Place huge slabs of terrain to create an island to work on, go place some trees and rocks to make it look more natural. Once you go in to player mode everything will connect with eachother almost seamlessly. As an example we get to see an entire map as large a Coagulation forged by one of the dev's to show us what we all can do when we get out hands on. You'll be able to place interactive elements on the map. Like the EMP which is also featured in Coagulation, switches like we saw in Zenith and interactive doors activated by consoles like we saw in Stonetown. And yes the "Blue screen of death" appears on them when activated like in the original Zanzibar console. But it doesn't stop there! Using the consoles you can also spawn in set items in Player mode. From as small as a bridge to entire race tracks. Get creative! What's also worth pointing out is that we get a glimpse of Beaver Creek that the dev's forged in. Didn't your favourite map get remade? You can now Forge it yourself! Get a look at it for yourself here: http://www.ign.com/videos/2014/10/28/halo-2-anniversary-forge-demo-halo-the-master-chief-collection-ign-first Have you already got an idea about how you're going to use the Forge? 4. While discussing new Outlook email service, Microsoft general manager Brian Hall namedrops "New Xbox" but does not share more. After significant speculation spread over the span of years, Microsoft has finally spoken on-record about its next Xbox. During an interview with The Verge focused on Microsoft's new Outlook email service (embedded below), general manager Brian Hall name-dropped a "new Xbox." “We’ve had Hotmail and operated Hotmail for about 16 years, we obviously have Exchange, and Outlook, that people use at work. We just decided it was time to do something new and bring the best from each of those and put them together and release it right in time for the new wave of products that we could have coming out with Windows 8, with the new version of Office with the new Windows phone and the new Xbox,” Hall said. Hall did not share further details on the next Xbox. Windows 8 will launch on October 26 alongside Microsoft's new Surface tablet line. [uPDATE] Following the publication of this story, Microsoft issued a statement to GameSpot on the matter. “Xbox 360 has found new ways to extend the console lifecycle by introducing controller-free experiences with Kinect and re-inventing the console with a new dashboard and new entertainment content partnerships," reads a line from the statement. "We are always thinking about what is next for our platform and how to continue to defy the lifecycle convention.” The analyst consensus is that the next Xbox, as well as the PlayStation 4, will be on store shelves for holiday 2013. A recent 56-page document supposedly originating from Microsoft said the next Xbox would launch in 2013 at $299 bundled with the second iteration of Kinect, among other updates. As for the PS4, PlayStation executive Andrew House said in June that Sony's new console would not be shown until a "significant leap" over the PlayStation 3 could be demonstrated."
  5. Well, the Halo 2 Anniversary Trailer wasn't all that was revealed today at San Diego's Comic Con. 343 also threw out some new pictures showing off the Anniversary edition of the fan favorite map, Zanzibar! Zanzibar looks beautiful! We can expect more screenshots of other maps in the future like at Gamescom, as well as the reveal of the last 2 of the 6 expected map remakes! 16. I bought an XBox One over the weekend. I got the "Halo: Master Chief Collection" bundle from Walmart. Right now this is the only game I'm interested in playing. It's how I keep in touch with friends from back home. You'll understand my disappointment when I found that the game's online multiplayer works about as good as a screen door on a submarine. I can't join an in-game group with my friend. Neither of us can successfully join a multiplayer session. All my network settings are correct. My internet is plenty fast. Shame on me for not researching the game before I purchased it. I guess I figured I could trust the "HALO" name. Woops. I tried contacting Microsoft. The illustrious "Erl" told me he couldn't help, and that my only option is posting on this forum. So here I am. In conclusion, I'm super glad I bought something that doesn't work.

  18. What's your favorite mission? Mine's Nightfall because you have a sort of sneaky, stealthy gameplay with a sniper and it's dark. Also, the Guta/Mule monster things are cool and it's fun to snipe.
  19. I know Halo 4 had some skins, but they were only accessible by completing the Specializations. So I thought for Halo 5 it would be pretty cool to have weapon skins which we could buy with xp/credits like past systems. It would be cool to customize your weapons to make them more personal and cooler. Just an idea though, and I hope to see your thoughts.
  20. So, the Halo Reach Map Packs that come with CEA. I think the Map Packs that come with CEA are cool because they provide a new style and open difference betwit requires more skill to stay alive. The difference between the two graphics aren't to noticable, and after continously playing the same maps, it's nice to getso e new maps to use. So what are your thoughts?
