  1. Some stick to their PC's, and some others stick to their home consoles. But there are a few, or many actually that do a lot of mobile gaming on some console devices small enough to play games almost anywhere. Nintendo, being one of the top mobile gaming(Mobile meaning a console like the DS) companies with Sony, etc, has some of histories top mobile games. One of the most famous games besides Zelda, is the Pokemon Franchise. Now I have specifically created this 'Guide' to help those who want to play Pokemon but do not know what Pokemon game to receive as their very first. Here is a history of every Pokemon Game that has been played by gamers around the world to date. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_games_by_release_date) Please read the full list before going on. So as you see there are so many to choose from, which one is the right one to play first? Well before you choose a game from random, lets talk about the consoles that they can be played on and which one to get. POSSIBLE CONSOLES I RECOMMEND: The Game Boy Advance SP: The Game Boy Advance SP (aームボーaaドバンaSP Gēmu Bōi Adobansu Essu Pī?), released in February 2003,[7]is an upgraded version of Nintendo's Game Boy Advance. The "SP" in Game Boy Advance SP stands for Special.[8] The SP was marketed at US$99.99 at launch. In September 2004, Nintendo lowered the price to US$79.99. The SP is accompanied by the Nintendo DS (released in November 2004) and the Game Boy Micro (released in September 2005). Here is an Image of the GBASP. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Boy_Advance_SP The GameBoy Advance SP allows gamers to play Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Firered, and Leafgreen. The GBASP was really an amazing mobile console that really defined gaming for a long time before Nintendo stepped up their game to the first DS. I highly recommending purchasing one of these consoles for no more than $60 on Ebay or online somewhere else. They are not sold in GameStop anymore sadly. Nintendo DS Lite: The Nintendo DS Lite (ニンテンドーDS Lite Nintendō Dī Esu Raito?) is a dual-screen handheld game console developed and manufactured by Nintendo. It is a slimmer, brighter, and more lightweight redesign of the original Nintendo DS. It was announced on January 26, 2006, more than a month before its initial release in Japan on March 2, 2006 due to overwhelming demand for the original model.[3] It has been released in Australia, North America, Europe, New Zealand, Singapore, and defined regions in South America, the Middle East, and East Asia. As of December 31, 2009, shipments of the DS Lite have reached 89.19 million units worldwide, according to Nintendo.[1] Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS_Lite The Nintendo DS Lite, (Dual Screen Console) was a more advanced version of the original Nintendo DS. The DS Lite had a few updates to it and started to incorporate WIFI capabilities as well. I'm not saying the DS Lite is so much better than the Nintendo DS, but the DS Lite was lighter, thinner and by far was a fan favorite myself. The Console is able to play GBA games such as Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Firered, and Leaf Green. None of the original GBA games such as Red, Blue, Yellow, Crystal, Gold and Silver cannot be played on the DS Lite so there is about of a downside to this console, except for the fact that this console also incorporated the use of Nintendo DS cards in the DS slot on the back of the system. Later in the post I will compare GBA to DS cartridges and their sizes. To me, the DS Lite is my favorite Console. The GBASP is right behind this console. The 3DS XL: The Nintendo 3DS XL (Japanese: ニンテンドー3DS LL Hepburn: Nintendō Surī Dī Esu Eru Eru?, abbreviated to3DS XL) is the first Nintendo 3DS handheld game console revision produced by Nintendo. As with the transition from the Nintendo DSi to the DSi XL, the Nintendo 3DS XL features larger screens, longer battery life, and a greater overall size than the original Nintendo 3DS. The Nintendo 3DS XL is intended to complement the original 3DS, not replace it, as both models remain in production. When in its open position, the Nintendo 3DS XL is the longest, widest and heaviest system of the Nintendo 3DS family.[12] Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_3DS_XL This is the Nintendo 3DS XL. It is my 3rd place recommended console if you are going to be the newest Pokemon games to date. To date, this console is what High-tech nintendo gaming is. This console is what I recommend for all those gamers out there who adore quality in their games. For this console, or all 3DS consoles because their is a smaller version of this console, it plays DS cartridges and 3DS Cartridges. Once again, I will compare all there Cartridges shortly. But this console and all consoles after the Nintendo DS Lite took out the GBA Cartridge, and only allows gamers to play Pokemon DS and 3DS games such as, Pokemon Pearl, Diamond, Platinum, HeartGold(Remake of GBA Gold), SoulSilver(Remake of GBA Silver), Black, White, Black 2, White 2, X and Y. This console is very high-tech for use of WIFI and Infrared technology. The system also has 3 built in cameras. Also, it is 3D for 3DS games only. Another new thing about this console and the regular 3DS is that in the top left bottom of the console their is a joystick. This is a new feature for these consoles, because ever since the GBA it has only used the + Pad right below the joystick. Now if I were to rank these consoles it would go like this: 1.) DS Lite- For those who pick medium to old games to play(GBA and DS Games) 2.) GameBoy Advanced SP- For those who pick old games to play(GBA) 3.) 3DS XL- For those who play Medium to Newer games(DS and 3DS) Now I have also been mentioning GBA, DS and 3DS Game Cartridges. Here is what they actually are. GBA: Source: http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs48/i/2009/212/3/3/Pokemon_Rom_Icons_RBY_by_Alforata.jpg These are RED, BLUE and YELLOW. These are the original Pokemon games. These are one type of GBA cartridges. Silver, Gold and Crystal are also this shape. Source: (http://i00.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v1/729031058_1/New-5-X-font-b-POKEMON-b-font-Emerald-Sapphire-Fire-Red-font-b-Leaf-b.jpg) As shown above is the other shape of GBA cartridges for the GBASP. The games shown above are Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Firered and Leafgreen. If I was to recommend an order for these games for you to purchase or get I would go by this list: 1.) Red and Yellow, get both. 2.) Emerald 3.) Gold or Silver 4.) Ruby or Sapphire 5.) Firered or LeafGreen (I understand I did not list some games but I did not care for the others) NINTENDO DS: Source: (https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-q2uahRJRE8s/UOT5oao9g8I/AAAAAAAADx4/iKLk3BRbfjY/s640/IMG_0548.JPG) This is the DS cartridge. A small chip that would fit into the back of a Nintendo DS Lite or 3DS. Pictured above is Pokemon Black. Here is a picture of all the RP Pokemon Games. Source: ( So if I were to recommend these games in a list here it is. 1.) Pearl or Diamond(Pearl was more popular at the time of release) 2.) SoulSilver or HeartGold(SoulSilver was more popular at time of release) 3.) Black or White (Platinum, Black 2 and White 2 were all continuations and almost the same game with a few extras, so unless you like playing the same game over again I do not suggest getting them). 3DS: Source: (http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18j2r1j59dwp7jpg/ku-xlarge.jpg) Pictured above is the 3DS game card. Pokemon games to date with this design are Pokemon X and Y, the first Pokemon Games to incorporate 3D Tech and updated Graphics. Now to end it all off, what do I recommend to you, now that you have seen all the Pokemon RP games? Well I suggest to start with Pokemon Emerald as it is a very good GBA game, and to buy a DS LITE to be able to purchase HeartGold or SoulSilver later on to transfer Pokemon from both games with only 1* console. *(To date, only a few GBA to DS games can transfer Pokemon with only 1 Console needed). I hope this was helpful to all of those thinking of playing Pokemon. It becomes pretty addicting after some time. Have fun!
  2. This is a new game here, and it's pretty simple. Basically I provide a word that is involved in the halo universe and then the person after me has to make a sentence using my word. Now the sentence created does not have to be halo related. (Also if the word is halo related but goes in a pair such as Master Chief you can use both in the pair or just one or the other.) So first word: Dawn
  3. What was your favorite GBC game and why did you like it? Mine is Pokemon: Crystal Version, it was so fun considering all the stuff you got to do!
  4. I recently published a book called Worlds for Throng. Its been a long-time fantasy of mine to see this as either a video game, movie, or both. I'll post the plot synopsis so you can get a sense of what it is, then I'll get more in-depth: Just-graduated journalist major Timothy Crowling is assigned his first story, and heads into it eagerly, unaware of the pawn-like position he's been forced into as part of one of the grandest schemes humanity's ever attempted: five prestigious individuals assigned to save Earth from an incoming meteor decide humanity is already a dead race. Desperate to free themselves from it, they develop a synthetic planet with the intent of shuttling the good men and women of the world there to restart humanity. The five all have different ideas of how this Utopia should run, and those clashing ideas quickly turn to factions. In essence, it’s a caricature on where we’re headed, why, and how to stop it. Now, I imagine the campaign of the game starting about 2/3 into the book when the "five prestigious individuals" start putting together the shuttle that'll take them to their synthetic planet. This would be a classic, militaristic fps with a lot of cinematic, fast-paced action and sort of a secret agent, FBI feel at times. Halfway through, it would turn into a more futuristic, ridiculous action-packed shooter. The kind of action that's more like fast-paced dancing than fighting. I would want to take the dialogue and the plot from the book and work off that directly for the game. Essentially recreate each chapter for each level in the game. The player would switch off between the five main characters, similar to GTA V. I have a real life actor each of the five main characters would be modeled after, similar to the L4D series. I'm also a musical composer and have written sort of a mock-score for the story. If this were to happen, I could score it myself, if that would be okay. Obviously this would be a huge project and this is ridiculous to ask and put on a forum; I know that. The game would be incredibly emotional and philosophical, the action tied to the emotions of the story and the characters and their situation. It would be a familiar but refreshing and incredible experience, I think, if done right. I also have ideas for a multiplayer for it which would have slayer and death match and a character that you create, customize and level-up, among other things similar to Spartan Ops, but a versus-mode Spartan Ops. I could get into that another time maybe, if this miraculously gets picked up. Obviously this has been a fantasy of mine for some time and I genuinely believe it could be great. If anyone has any questions or concerns, feel free to ask. I don't know how to contact 343 directly. I figured this website was a good start. If anyone could direct me to them, that would be greatly appreciated. I'd love feedback in general. Thanks, Emmett

  7. A question many people ask who don't play Halo is, "What's so good about it? What makes it better than any other FPS?" There are things about Halo that other games beat it at, and there are things that not everyone enjoys about it. Which makes that question hard to answer. I think that the answer, quite simply, would be "everything". Here's my reasons. The campaign of the game starts off with a lone warrior. That's a bit cliche, until we learn that he wasn't always alone. That he used to be part of a team. And that most of that team is dead, and that they died defending the human race. Which is exactly what the lone warrior intends to do. You fight enemies with technology that seems to be mystical, until you actually pick it up and use it on them. You pick up the game and play it, and you find the story to be kind of... empty. Then you find out about the Haloverse, and all the books that go with the games that fill in the gaps. That's what grabbed me about Halo. I was mainly into it for the multiplayer with my friends, but then when I actually picked up one of the books I was forever hooked. Turns out the story of the games is only 1/1000th of the full story. The story about the technologically superior alien race that is determined to wipe out humanity, and humanity doing everything it can to simply survive. The story about what originally started the SPARTAN and MJOLNIR programs. The story of how Master Chief Petty Officer John Spartan 117 came to be in a cryotube aboard the Pillar of Autumn. That in and of itself sets it apart from most FPS games. Then we have the multiplayer. The constantly evolving, adapting, and fun multiplayer. Everyone has their own favorite Halo multiplayer, and that to me is amazing. That the games can be so different from each other that people will argue for hours over whether Halo 3 or Halo Reach had the better multiplayer. The simplicity of the multiplayer at the beginning was what hooked most of us older gamers. Pressing one button to switch between two weapons at the time was revolutionary. And there were some pretty cool ways to play as well. Then things started getting a bit more complex, but even then that added more fun to the game. Customizable gametypes, the ability to play with people who you've never met before and might not again while still playing with friends, more vehicles and weapons. And then they let you customize armor, gametypes, and even maps to play on. Even people who didn't want to play multiplayer that often always had something to do. Then came Forge World and more armor customization. It was to the point where you could tell a player just by the type of armor they were wearing. You could spend hours customizing your character and building a map and gametype. And all of this on a console. And then we have the community. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's still more tight knit than most. There are so many different people that contribute to Halo that it's unbelievable. There is enough fan fiction to fill entire novels. There's enough Machinima to last you for days (maybe weeks), even if you were watching it all back to back. And all of that is from the Halo community. That makes the game SO much more fun to me. When I can discover a new detail in the campaign and have an active discussion with a dozen people about it, that's when you know there's something good about the game. The fanbase is no more or less loyal than other games, but it's definitely more "in depth". There are people in the community who create and write backstories for their spartans, which is something you usually only see in RPG's. There are plenty of games that can say that they have a feature that Halo does. Whether it be a good story, a good multiplayer, a good fanbase, or a good game mechanic. The thing about Halo, though, is that it has them all. Whether you play it for just the story, for just the multiplayer, or just the ability to create, you play it because you enjoy what you can do in the game. That's the reason I think Halo is awesome, and am definitely looking forward to Halo 5.
  8. I have just tried starting your game - after two hours play of the single player campaign, i cannot save. Game returns "There is not enough storage space on this device. Do you want to select another" as the message. I have 212GB free on my XBox 360??? What is the issue here? I have installed this game on my console, and retried several times at several separate stages. There is no support on the halo4 website for this, no-one replies.
  9. In this forum game , the goal is to create a unique top ten list that helps us recognize your interests. However, because this is a game, it must have rules: 1. The list cannot consist of reasons. ex., Top Ten Reasons Why Sony is Better Than Microsoft 2. The list cannot be about anything that breaks the forum rules. ex., Top Ten ****stars 3. The list cannot exceed or underfund Ten Items. ex., Top Eleven Favorite Games I will start with Top Ten Consoles: 1. Xbox One 2. Fairchild Channel F 3. Xbox 360 4. PC 5. Xbox 6. SEGA Saturn 7. SEGA Genesis 8. Atari 7800 9. SEGA Master System 10. Super Famicon
  10. Hello people! So, recently, me and a few others were talking about playdates, and we realized there should be one for Battlefield 3. After all, it is one of the best games out there; I have never seen ANY other game that successfully creates such massive maps featuring such amazing, large scale gameplay that is both fun yet hardcore at the same time. So obviously, being the nice person I am, I decided to host one. How will it work? Well, the event has been decided as starting on NEXT WEEK'S [May 11] SATURDAY NIGHT 9PM EST. For those who still don't get what time it is, I'll list it out for you. Aussies: Sunday Morning Europeans: About 11PM - AM Saturday Night/Sunday Morning Middle East/East: ....Morning. America: 9-12PM or so. Saipan, Hawaii etc. areas: Afternoon This link should help you: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html In any case, continuing on, this will generally be what we do: Playing in a semi competitive manner, we WILL keep in mind that this game is on of the Trolliest, casual matchmaking games available, and as such we will also be placing C4 on Jeeps and Helicopters, flying jets into tanks, and generally having fun doing fun things. (Oh, yeah. I'm bringing my capture card We'll ONLY be playing Non-DLC maps unless everyone has a DLC map they wanna play on, and they all have it. Because in-game, Battlefield 3 has a 'Squad' system, we'll compensate for it using party chat - we'll generally remain in it but play online. If we're under 4 players, we'll all be in game chat, and if we're over 4 players, we form a party, and try to put everyone in the same squad as well. (Never tried, though. ) In any case, we hope you guys show up! If you guys KNOW you will, just leave a note below and we'll be sure to invite you when the time comes!
  11. I wasn't sure if I should put this here, because it's a member created work, or in Other Games, because it's not Halo related, so if I've made a mistake, would a Mod please move this to the appropriate forum? Other than that, Welcome to my new writing project! Here's the deal, I've been playing XCOM: Enemy Unknown for a while, and I love it. So I had this idea a while back: The commander must receive reports about his missions, right? (RIGHT?!?!?) So I decided I'd write de-breifings to my missions. Now you may be asking: "BUT BOOOS? WAT DOO DAT MAEN?" Because apparently I think you talk like that No offense... This means, as I do my current play-through of XCOM, I'll write real reports of my missions, along with some in between stuff, such as Commander's Logs, Personal journals, Radio Logs, and if the inevitable occurs, Eulogies for my soldiers. Which means, everything you're about to read, is a creative play-by-play of what ACTUALLY happens when I play. ENJOY! MISSION 1 Operation Vengeful Sentinel Cologne, Germany March 1st, 2015 Squad members: Rookie Holly Lee Rookie Saida Isra Rookie Sarah Mcintosh Rookie Karen Jensen Mission Brief: Abductions in the German Mainland. Big Sky dispatched with Strike 1. Orders are to eliminate Alien presence on sight. Mission details: Big Sky touched down at 1:30 A.M. Local. Strike One deployed in the commercial district of Cologne. Rookie Isra made contact with invaders at 2:00 A.M, (Isra scored XCOM's first kill seconds after contact) Enemies responded with hostile force. (Enemies utilize some form of superheated plasma weapon, recommend collection for further study) At 2:10 A.M. Rookie Jensen made contact with a second group of E.T.'s in the Eastern Warehouse. (Jensen also scored a kill shortly after contact) Rookie Isra was pinned by enemy fire on the opposite side, near the Western building. Enemy suppresive fire was lifted by a well-placed frag grenade from Rookie Mcintosh. Rookie Lee entered the Warehouse, and eliminated the final Alien in the Operational Zone. Big Sky returned, and Strike 1 was evacuated at 3:12 A.M. No casualties, no injuries. Kill Count Lee: 1 Isra: 1 Mcintosh: 1 Jensen: 1 Central Officer Bradford's notes: It couldn't have been easy being the first ones to go out on a mission, but our team pulled through. I'm recommending promotions for all four squad members, and specialized training as well. Lee has some Medical experience, so I recommend she take a support role. Isra's pretty strong (And pretty loud, but that's just between you and me, Commander.) I recommend she be given a Machine gun, and let her figure out the rest. Although it didn't show in this mission, Mcintosh is one of our best shots, and with enough time, she could be a devious marksman. I don't like Jensen's reckless attitude, but she got results, getting the first kill on the books, which means I owe her a drink. I say give her a shotgun, and let her work her magic. Other than that, I think we've done well for ourselves. But I wouldn't get too comfortable. There are still a lot of countries that haven't checked in yet. I recommend we bolster our ranks, and start researching these... things. Dr. Vahlen is ready and waiting for you when you have a moment. Non-Combat Information: None at this time.

  13. I think killing ppl after game over is just being a bad sport. It's like in a boxing match punching sum1 after the bell. It's like in a basket ball game throwing hoops after the whistle is blown. What's the point? I don't c the fun in watching a guy flinch slightly as u tap RT. What do u guys think?

  16. After I heard of a possible halo2 reboot I was very exited halo 2 was a very big part of my life If it was coming home from a long day at school and playing it all night to the fun I had playing at the system link parties we use to have... Now Its really hard to put in words just how great of a game it was but to all the people who played it... the true halo 2 fans know what im saying when I say there was just something about it... If it was playing the competitive multiplayer to super boucing and finding new ways to get out of the maps tah tank jumping, banshee juming, tah practicing the double shot and bxr which made the game more dynamic... Now I cant tell you (343) how much it would mean to the halo 2 fan base to bring back halo 2 the Exact same way it was but it would mean alot to all of us halo 2 is more then just a game its a life style and if you can bring halo 2 back in all its glory then you will gain the biggest loyal fan base ever!!</p>

  18. If the X-box 720 ( Officially named x-box) came out but you couldn't use X-box 360 games on it, would you still buy it? (Keeping in mind, that unless you keep the 360, you won't be able to play any previous halo games)
  19. Before I begin, I just want to say I get it. Being in the game industry can be extremely tedious. Also, people get the idea that there is a shortage of ideas and that ideas are easy to just throw in a game. Also the final product has to be marketable and turn out profit for all your hard work which a lot of people who get on here to tell you how to do your job disregard. I'm here to say an idea or two hoping you'll look at it and see if you haven't thought of it yet, find it practical or if you'd want to do something like this. Idea 1: make a game without campaign that just has multiplayer and forge and just call the game Forge. Why? So you could devote more disk space to endless forging fun and play it with friends on multiplayer, think Minecraft. You could even work out a way to put AI into forge with all of that disk space, which is what a lot of people want. Why it's a bad idea, Halo is marketable largely because of the campaign, reason why I bought Halo 4 so people wanting Halo not Forge probably wouldn't buy it. But the reason why I bought Halo Reach was largely because of Forgeworld. Idea 2: let us play as anyone or any creature in the Halo universe, at least for funsies. Gears of war 3 has beast mode, although making a game mode for only playing as creatures isn't as cool as it being what you'd play as when your not in map edit mode.
  20. Does anyone here have it, and play it? I'm looking for more people to Play against. I mainly use Miguel, but I have a decent list of characters I can use. Also, just talk about Tekken in general.
  21. Gamertag: battlemoose01 Map: Landslide Game Type: Landslide/ King of the Hill Inspired by a map by Darth Human. Humans spawn at bottom of huge tunnel and work their way to the top. Destroyed, flaming vehicles, rocks, and toys fall down and crush them. Recommended players: 8-12 Map link:http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/battlemoose01/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=827799a7-db6c-4004-bcdc-79c944cf3188 Game type link: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/battlemoose01/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=827799a7-db6c-4004-bcdc-79c944cf3188 https://assets.halowaypoint.com/games/h4/maps/v1/large/impact.png
  22. As we all know, Black Lion Trading Company is playing a very important in the economy system of Guild Wars 2. You could gain opportunities continuously, not only to show your goods to all Tyria citizens but also to gain best goods from them, as long as you want to get to learn it. It is a place with good returns. Here are some common senses of mine: 1. Listing Fee When you want to sell your goods at Trading Post, it might cost you 5% off the amount of gold you listed for your goods, which would not be refunded even if your goods are not sold out in time, for example, if you are going to sell Twilight for 1000 Guild Wars 2 gold, then you have to pay 50 Guild Wars 2 gold as listing fee, even if Twilight hasn’t been sold out within the time you expected or been canceled before it’s sold, the 5 Guild Wars 2 gold will still be deducted from your bag. It exists to prevent players from using TP abusively. 2. Taxes When your goods Twilight was bought by some players, you will lose another 10 Guild Wars 2 gold as tax fee. However, if your goods Twilight hasn't been bought within time you set, then you don't have to pay the fee. 3. Tips on doing business in Black Lion Trading Company (1) Price Suppression, is to list your goods at the lowest price to attract the buyers, usually lower by 1 copper. However, you should be very clear that in fierce competitions this kind of ways will be risking, because if too many players to use the same way to let their own goods showed in the first place then the price for this item will be corrupted. (2) Resell, there are 5 steps to do this to gain profit quickly: a. Goods with good profit; b. The ideal amount; c. Considering the tax; d. Count the profit; e. Gain profit. Of course, it is not so easy to gain much profit if you don't pay much attention to it. (3) Predicting, is a way of higher level. It risks a lot even it could bring you considerable profit in a very short time or medium term, however, it might also make you go bankrupt shortly. You should be focusing on the updates and news about changes in the game. (4) Market Manipulation, is harmful, greedy by increasing the price factitiously to enlarge the profit of some item. For example, on 4th Jan. the amount of lemongrass decreased from 7359 sharply to 741 in about 2 hours, and then listed up again at 24 silver/one, which made price for these items is crazy higher than it really worthies. Luckily, it was fixed later. (5) Post News in order to increase the price of some item, which is considered as speculation, similar as Market Manipulation made by greedy merchants.
  23. Zombies are attacking and the only thing you can use as a weapon is the item directly to your left. I'll start. Since I'm at school the item directly to my left is a text book. YES I SHALL BEAT THEM WITH KNOWLEDGE!!!
