  1. Map: Last Stand: City Heights Gametype: Last Stand Creator: Shadow KryPTiiC Player Count: 10-12 Waypoint link: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/shadow%20kryptiic/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=d56da219-6608-443b-87d3-02db48ffb67d Hello Everyone, I am Shadow KryPTiiC I would like to present my map Last Stand: City Heights, or just City Heights for short. This map takes place in a vacant structure that has not been used since long before the start of the zombie outbreak. A band of humans have been living in the building since the ground of the city is too dangerous. Little do the survivors know that the zombies have discovered their location and are grouping up to attack. Can you survive the Zombie onslaught? The map itself takes place in a three story building that the humans cannot leave since the gametype Last Stand disables the ability to jump. There are two zombie entrances per floor but once the zombies take over a floor, the staircase from this floor counts as another access point for the flood to attack the humans. Aside from the 3 floors, there is also a roof for the humans to hold out on. Thats about it, enjoy the rest of the thread (: Here is a side view of the building itself (the playspace for the humans) Here is another view of the structure from a different viewpoint. Here is a picture of the second floor (though each floor looks fairly the same since it is a vacant structure) Here is one of the entrances for the zombies on the second floor. This is a walkway to connect to a neighboring building. Here is a view of the third floor. Here is a picture of the roof. A favorite spot for humans, though it can be easily overrun. This is the man cannon that hurls the zombies at the roof. Here is the OTHER man cannon that hurls zombies to the third floor. The flood spawn in almost all the structures that surround the main building. Here is yet another view of the building, and here i would like to point out the railings which provide the zombies with an easy ramp up to the first floor. Here is my favorite part of the map, the window washer! Though people like to point out it doesnt actually wash a window (: Anyways, that just about raps up this map, I hope you all enjoyed (:
  2. Hello everyone, well as a fan of this great series of games, I wanted to give my opinion about who should be the primary and most lethal enemy, not only of the next halo 5, if not the next issues. In the previous trilogy fight the main enemy, the Covenant and then the enemy origianl emerged: the Flood. The Flood was led by Gravemind, which is known to be the precursor Primordial / Eternal mentioned in the book series, Primordium, Cryptum and Silemtium. After seeing so many hilarious pictures of this being (I've seen from praying mantises to a Buddhist monk with four arms and a kind of giant meatball) here I bring you my picture and as I believe and many believe it should be the eternal reality. I propose and hope that some managers of 343 read this, that the fiercest enemy of the galaxy will emerge from the ashes to threaten everything again and this time not as Gravemind but as the Eternal.

This map takes place at an abandoned fishing resort where humans can choose to hold out in the resort, a boat, or anywhere in between. The game type gives flood thruster packs, but the humans spawn with ARs and Shotguns so it is fast paced and balenced!

Run all the way upside, jump over the Gap and find a way out: Climb over the stucked Cap and jump over the Forklift so you can reach the Window or crouch underneath one of the `closing` security doors. There is a Mongoose inside the big Drill Tank for the two fastest Players… The others have to cross the Bridge on foot. (The Human Player should not be able to climb up the bridge, i set it higher for them.) Give your Teammates on foot, rear cover once you reached the Antenna Satellite with the Sniper Rifle on top of it. There are several soft Kill Areas around the area like those one in the Cavern left the exit of the Mine to prevent the Human Players to camp or hide and force them to cross the bridge like they are intended to to. Please note: You cannot reach the roof of the Mine with the Elevator I build, because I removed the gravition Fields. The Elevator will work on my second map called: The Colony Revelation (90% finished) On the other side you will noticed a big Main Satellite Station. That is the place to be, because it’s the most safe area on the map and you will get constantly supplies from the `Weapon-closet` I have build there. For Player who likes can risk to explore the other Structures like the Landing Pad or the small Bunker under the spotlight Tower to get some stronger Weapons. Go always with other Teammates to watch each other`s back. The Infected (Flood Players) try of course to chase the Human Players. They start also on the bottom of the Mine underneath the Humans. After 50 seconds a Teleporter will spawn wich brings the Flood Players on the surface. One receiver node is located in the Drill-Tank and the second one is in the `Cavern` to the other side. Important! Since there is a Soft Kill Area to prevent the Human Player to camp in the `Cavern` entrance you have to go in the direction of the Drill-Tank to not get killed, but you should have more then enough time. The Flood Players can go upon the Bridge to eventually surprise and overrun the escaping Miners After other 70 seconds this two receiver nodes will be blocked from one Stone and one Block that are spawned. After this 120 seconds playtime, three receiver nodes appears in the Truck on the Bridge and underneath the Bridge end onside B of the map. Other 5 Teleporter nodes will be spawned after other 30 seconds (150 seconds playtime) all around the Main Satellite Station. Start as Hunter with the Thrusters since this Armor Ability is the only reasonable one on this Map. Additional Info: Attention! This A Story-based Flood Map. It means, that the Human Player have to move freely from side A (Mine) to side B (Main Satellite Station) in order to get the best atmospheric results and make the best possible experience I intended to do. Since there are no ways to spawn in Soft Kill Areas or Respawn Points during the game (possible only for objects) to force the Player to go in a certain amount of time from one side of the map to another, the Players have to keep going to the Locations I have designed for them freely to ensure the map is working the way it is mean to be! For helping that, only side B has Weapon Drops. The Teleporter network I build seem to me the only way to keep the Flood as closely as possible to the escaping Miners, assuming they are of course running to the Antenna Satellite. Please comment my solution. You may have other ideas how to resolve this Issue. The Human Players have to stay together or to split in Team of 3 or 4 Players in order to get best surviving chances! You can read the (not very inventive) Story I wrote for this map underneath: The Colony_part1 (Outbreak) Log of Dr. Eduard Easton December 12, 2645 Something`s really strange about that Monolith which we have discovered here… It seems to be emanating some unknown radiation. We have already observed some psychological changes from some of the miners… It seems to effect the human`s behavior drastically if there is significant exposure. Our anesthetics aren’t sufficient for that type of…infection… We can`t handle that by ourselves any longer. There are several sick workers at this time. One of them had broken out in aggression last evening. I decided to put into quarantine in our drill Tank for a while, even though the tank is not designed as a cell….but while the tank is in maintenance we have no other use for it anyway. We are checking on his condition every hour. By the way, the nurse should have been back now a while ago. I’m wondering what is taking her so long out there? I have released new security procedures that are to be strictly followed, this has all changed since that mysterious incident last month. She surely knows about that. We have called for help, because we need medical support and new supplies. Unfortunately our sender node on top of the mine is malfunctioning. The Radiation seems to somehow disturb our communication capabilities. Someone will need to pass the bridge and reach the main satellite station at the other side and send a distress signal manually. I have order to close the mine entrance for now, just to make sure! We cannot risk anymore losses. What is with that yelling out there? ………. Log interrupted. Attached Thumbnails

  9. Gamertag: REMkings Map: When Running Fails Gametype: On the Move Recommend player count: 12-14 players When Running Fails They left the city with dozens, in the hope of hitting the road to salvation. Only few made it out. A small group of latecomers finally reached the highways, now in such a sad state of affairs that all chances of escaping seemed lost - leave alone any chances of survival. Or is there still hope? Team up with a buddy or two, board one of the remaining Warthogs and outgun the chasing undead. Prepare for a joyride. "When Running Fails" is my attempt at a Drive or Die map, which you'd used to see a lot in previous Halo titels. Drive or Die maps, for those are not familiar with the name, typically consist of a large driveable area, which can vary from a huge desert to a long road, where the sole purpose of the game is to get in a vehicle and keep driving away from the zombies pursuing you. I myself am a huge fan of Warthog usage in Infection maps, so you can imagine I loved playing on these kinds of maps. Unfortunately, much to my regret, I have not seen any good Driving maps in Halo 4 yet due to the difficult-to-work-around-with layout of all 4 of the forge canvases. It was therefore that I decided to give it a try myself. And now you're here to see the outcome. Here are some self explanatory pictures for nom. Important notes There are two things you really have to keep in mind when playing this map if you want to get the greatest of pleasure when playing the map. 1. There is a huge trait zone just above the surface of the ground level. This trait zone only applies for humans and massively takes down their health, while also decreasing the damage they can deal to enemy players. In other words: this effectively dismantles attempts at camping. Because of the fact that all players have trait zones above their heads, zombies will quickly find you and take you down with ease if you're trying to break the game. So yeah, just get in a vehicle instead of walking around. It's more fun for everyone, including you. 2. I have used a modded gametype that allows zombies to sprint. This will come in handy when trying to keep up with the Warthog, so make sure to use this function all the way: you'll even have unlimited sprint. 3. There are some bumps in the road that couldn't possibly be smoothened out. These bumps don't effect Warthogs but they can slow down zombies walking into them. It is possible to keep running around the whole track without running into any of these bumps, though. Make sure to keep an eye on where you're running and you should be fine. Tips Finally, I'll give you some tips to apply on this map if you either want to increase your chances of survival or if you'd like to get some extra Infection on those nasty humans. - Keep driving circles on the outer ring of the map. You'll be able to keep your speed at best, making it harder for zombies to chase you down. Also, generally you'll have great sightlines on the side, so zombies will have a harder time ambushing you. - If you happen to be riding shotgun, it is recommend to grab your sniper rifle and try to go for some no scopes on zombie players passing by. The auto aim makes it rather easy to pick up some kills, and it will also help out your buddy wielding the turret on the back, who in the crucial phase of survival will likely not be able to take on all zombies all by himself. - If you're playing as a zombie; Make sure to keep sight on any humans (accidently) driving or walking around on the ground level. As mentioned before, they are now easy one hit kills and they also deal less damage, providing you a good chance of getting one or more sweet Infections and making the horde grow. - If you're playing as a zombie; Try and flank the Warthogs driving around. This is usually accomplished best by cutting the humans off by estimating where they'll be driving next, and then hitting them from the side by surprise. This will likely slow them down or even turn them over, or in the best scenario even flip them on the side, making for a nice opportunity to leap upon this new gained meat together with your fellow undead. That should be all! I hope you will have give this map and gametype a download and enjoy playing it. Whether you're a great fan of driving the Warthog in Halo or killing off zombies/infection survivors, you're bound to have a great time. - REMkings
  10. What if flood could drive cars, use guns, do things they've never done before. They could create a whole new gametype. Gravedanger: In this gamemode you are either flood or spartans. Both can use covenant, human, and forerunner weapons and vehicles. A gravemind has formed and the flood are becoming stronger mentally with it being created. your job is to exterminate the flood and destroy the gravemind. 16 vs 16 battles Custom game flood: In custom games there could be flood AI that could be customized for example you can have a flood move in a certain direction only or have it have no A.I ( customize), dumb A.I ( has regular flood traits) or smart A.I( gravemind flood can drive, will go after weapons, pickup weapons, drive vehicles, and steal ordinance.)
  11. Hello, my gamer tag is Wagoner1993 but you can call me Wagoner. I've been forging since Halo 3; however, I never really got into it until Halo Reach and now I consider myself a very talented forger. I'm part if the MK25 forging clan and I have been for about a year now which has improved my skills greatly. If you look in my file share, you will find a mixture of Flood, Mini-Games, and some Slayer. I will be posting some of them in the forums throughout the next couple of days so keep an eye out for them. I look forward to becoming part of this community

  13. I would like 343 to add a Survival mode where you are is a big Flood area ( Big Map ) and just have waves of flood. Also would like to defend playing as the UNSC, and also have the choice to defend with the Covenant, have Hunters and other Covenant on you're side. I have been thinking about this before Halo 3 and was hoping Halo 4 would have it, now I'm hoping Halo 5 will have it, and if not Halo 5 because it's tolate then I hope Halo 6. Tell me what you think or add on thing's.
  14. Hi everyone, I'm working on a flood map and I need a way for the flood to be forced to spawn at the nearest attacker spawn point to the uninfected players. For example if the humans are in the 5th room of the map then the flood shouldn't spawn in the first unless that his the location of the nearest spawns. Any help on this would be much appreciated as the map really wont work right if I can't do this.
  15. Repression Map: Repression Gametype: Hivemind Gamertag: Auxi Klutch Youtube Channel: Mk25 Forgers Description: This map was made for Free Roam Flood. The map was also contributed by Shadow Kryptiic & DUN3Z. The map is multi-leveled as well as it is completely indoors. The map consists of initial ordnance drops as well as random ordnance drops for consistent gameplay. The map was also submitted for flood matchmaking, and is 1 of the 4 maps that were accepted. I hope that you guys like this flood map. We put many hours with the map design, playtests, and fixes. I also want to thank all the people that helped playtest this map. Also for the ones that didnt make it to matchmaking, they were all good maps.
  16. Hello everybody, its savior465 here. Today, i have another infection map to show, which takes advantage of the recently discovered underwater glitch. I call it crevice. The map plays like my previous map, a remake of Nacht Der Untoten from Call of Duty: World At War. the gameplay is the same. Humans must keep the flood out of the building, and the flood have to invade the building to kill the humans. Unlike the other map, this one is foggy because it is "underwater" visibility is a problem this time around, so team work is even more important than before. Humans spawn in this room. there are 3 windows for flood to enter as well as a DMR and carbine to fight them off with. To get out of this room, the humans have to knock these crates out of the way. There are 5 new windows in this new area and 3 weapons. the area is split in to two parts: downstairs and upstairs. Two windows are downstairs and 3 are upstairs. An AR spawns downstars and a BR and shotgun spawns upstairs, as well as grenades. Upstairs there is a balcony-like area to holdout in, but there are no weapons out here. In the downstairs there is a doorway that leads outside, here the area is divided by the large crevice. There are two ways to get to the other side: A fallen tree and a small bridge. A man canon is on the cliffside to provide a quick escape to the building.(It leads to the balcony mentioned above)The suppresser and the random weapons box spawn here. There is also only one window here, but the flood can spawn elsewhere in this area... The Bridge can be destroyed permanently. The box gives a varity of equipment as well as weapons. Promethean vision comes up occasionally. Be sure to grab it if it does. If you want to download it, just go to my fileshare, or look it up in the file browser. I hope everyone enjoys the map!

  18. If you even want to call it "Flood Mode". I mean, they look NOTHING like the flood from the trilogy! Sorry if I sound like a whiny 12-year-old, but come on, Flood Mode sucks! You can't even give them weapons, abilities, loadouts, etc! If there is a way to let 343i know about this (hopefully they already do) then PLEASE let me know. I don't really know how this works. Do I just have to hope for that slim chance they will come across this forum? I tried Xbox.com, but no one was helpful.
  19. Hi All, It seems that after several months of Halo4 being relased and numerous discussion topics about Flood changes that the Halo Community(s) feel need to be implemented - It's clearly apparent through no changes to Flood at all, that our voices are not being heard. My question to 343 is - How are you going to address the Flood posts and provide answers to the communities concerns and general ideas? Is there going to be a reply posted on the forums with reasoning behind why you have made no changes, or why you feel or believe that the flood layout you have currently (maps, weapon, and ability balance) is adequete, despite a large amount of player feedback. The fact remains, players who migrated from Halo3 infection, were looking for an 'upgrade' or 'replacement' - which you delivered in the game variant, Flood. It is different to what people expected, and the 'survival' aspect of Flood from a 'humans' perspective, is almost merely impossible due to the below factors. - Thrusters over-powered (Impact minimized on large open maps) - 3 shot flood kill Now I have no issue with the Over-powered thrusters, if it was 1 shot flood kill. I don't even have an issue with the 3 shot flood kill, if the thrusters were nerfed... BUT... when you combine both together, it makes it nearly impossible for a human to take on two or more flood at once, therefore dramatically reducing the survival % of the humans and taking a lot of fun out of the game. I'll be moving back to Halo3 infection tonight, as I'm sick of waiting for 343 to fix Halo4 Flood gametype. It's not what we (Halo Community) expected, so please deliver something that we can all enjoy. I checked Halo3 Infection population and it's somewhere near 2000 people - keeping in mind Halo3 is old and outdated. I checked Halo4 flood population and it's somewhere near 300 people. It's clear to me - the Halo Community do not agree with your Flood gametype structure. Bungie heard our voices. Can you hear us 343?

The main holdout area is the church itself but there are other ways to survive. It uses the gametype "Church defense" and must only be used by this gametype because it is a modded gametype which allows players to retain their orginal armor color and for weapons to actually spawn. It is a pretty fun and balanced map for both flood and humans. Works with 8 but plays the best with 12.
  22. The Flood. You either Love or Loath it. Many people loath it due to the library missions in Halo CE/Halo 2 as well as Cortana from Halo 3. I admit Cortana was tedious at times and the Libraries could become frustrating, but thats no reason for pulling one of the most dangerous threats (in theory) from a game where all the awesome ancient tech is based around combating it. The flood in the original trilogy was good, but after reading the books and terminals about it, the fungus zombies didnt seem to portray the unstoppableness-ness that overwhelmed the Forerunners and caused them to commit cosmic suicide. In game i think the flood needs to become scaryer. Slithering in the dark, ambushing you, literally tearing through allies. The spartan flood in the Infection gametype of halo 4 has a giant claw, so lets see it put to use. Another thing is the weakness of flood. In halo 3 you could almost dissolve combat forms with a nasty look. Halo CE had it right. 2 clips of 60 round MA5B ammo and the ******** can still hop up off the floor. Now in many topics Ive seen Deadspace fans gloating how their necromorphs are scaryer. And to be honest I have to admit the flood isnt as scary in game. But in concept the flood should be able to make Chief nervous. Im trying not to express my sadistic side, but i think non scripted marine deaths by infection forms in Halo 3 were amazing. Graphics and gore upated with modern software and you have a greusome yet amazing incentive to protect your AI buddies. If 343i made you respect your marines (rather than using them as meat shields and ammo mules, get them to give you ammo or help you in some way without the scripted cutscene like events so you DO want to keep them alive, even for just sentimental reasons) then when they are tron in half and eaten in front of you, you might exact revenge rather than laugh. I know I beat the crap out of Spark when he killed Johnson. -Imagine this. You are running along through Halo 5 with a couple of AI buddies [that arent in any way significant to the mission], theyve been talking to you, weakening and killing enemies, supplying you with ammo and generally being helpful [yes i am still taling about Halo marines here] when suddenly jimmy-bob AI is grabbed by a Combat form and torn in two, while the other AI is making horrible gurgling noises as an infection form burrows into his rib cage. This would make me go on a rampage. Why not make us care about our AI buddies, then have the flood come rip our bromance apart? Gameplay wise we need variaton with flood. Halo 3 should be seen as a concept point for 343i. Pureforms were a good idea but never seemed to be as big a threat as they were made out to be. Why not have a stronger flood force where most infection forms were tank strenght. Not requiring a rocket launcher to take down [thats just crazy] but making them bullet sponges. Force a player to fall back as a staggering wall of flood marches at you. Infection forms can stay as popcorn, its part of the games now and actually suits them, but noone seems to panic when they are around. If you have AI allies around these little guys should become your worst nightmare. Buddies now oozing with green slime and floodflesh turn and rip into you. Wall to wall popcorn is never a bad idea. new types? Take a leaf from Halo wars and have infected grunts/jackals in game. I know in the lore they are infected to become food and flesh for the hives of the flood, but we should get to see this. Flood growths could also be interesting. Halo 3 gave us the Mature spores that released infection forms but why not the stalks and tenticals of halo wars? the ranged pureforms could become stationary and allow for proper assault flood controlled areas objectives in campaign. Summing it up, scary and overwhelming is what it needs to be. With promethians and covenant requiring tactics and flanking to overcome, this updated flood should be the break from noobcombotakeoutthewatchersthenknights tactics and it should open up your inner Rambo. Tactical decisions would still be needed, but more along the lines of 'do i have enough ammo' or 'which flood should I avoid and which do i shoot at from range.' Another benifit of Flood returning would be the return of sentinel weapons. The sentinels in Halo 2 were awesome, and if you havent already you should look up the concepts for other in game sentinels. I can imagine massive fights between variations of flood and sentinel and promethian that you must navigate. It also means flame weapons can make a return. The bodies dissolving from forerunner weapons in game actually serves a purpose (apart from us thinking 'Ooh.... pretty...) by destroying bodies so flood wont infect them [this could aslo allow for a flood firefight- check out some of the other topics ideas on this, people come up with good stuff]. Story-wise i think the flood should remain as an extragalactic parasite. A biological weapon from the precursors? Thats kinda lame to be honest. I would prefer that when the precursors buggared off to the other galaxies to explore and do precursory things that they came across an entire galaxy that was consumed by flood. Not knowing what the flood was they were overwhelmed and consumed. Now the flood has the ability to travel the distance between galaxies ['cept the precursors sabotaged their engines to save life here in the milky way]. The flood manages to send one small cluster of spores and hive on a ship back to the milky way where the humans found it.... And the cannon story follows from there. This -and i know its a stretch- could be the return of the flood in Halo 5. A precursor vessel filled with highly evolved flood slips into the milky way after jul m'dama activates a forerunner device that could contact the precursors. The Ship offloads and starts a massive infection of covenant space. **** gets real and the Array become an option for the UNSC to wipe out the huge flood incursion. Promethians can get involved somehow. Everybody wins, original trilogy and new age fannon fans. Id Like to see your ideas on my ramblings and any additions/subtrations you would make to the halofanboy opinions i vomited in the essay above.
  23. Throughout the Halo saga, humanity has been plagued with deadly foes. First it was the Flood; then the Insurrectionists (Innies); then the Covenant; and most recently the Prometheans. So I ask you: Which was your favorite, which wasn't, and which would work best in Halo 5? Feel free add ideas for entirely new reasons, or support your own opinion of which is the best/worst. Thanks for all the support in the previous Volume; here's to many future Volumes to come!

Creator: Hordys8096 Back Story: over the skys of Requim a war had broke out and the covenant was forcing UNSC troops to evacuate ground forces to a Mysterious Island told to hold many secrets. the UNSC frigate STT2 - LoneStar was carrying a range of combat ready veicles and weaponry when it was hit by a covenant escort class cruiser and crash landed on the largest of these islands colliding with a small Outpost tasked with informing and readying all UNSC forces in the area of what lay ahead for them on Reqium. many Spartans and flight crew's were killed in the crash. Although STT2 - LoneStar will never see the thrill of battle again its 'Crash Site' provides a unique experience for all who dare return to scavenge what is left, but all who go into the mists have never returned. as the Frigate collided with the Outpost all comunications went down and covenant forces decended in Phantom class drop ships to eliminate any survivors of the crash but they were greated with an unpleasant and deadly foe, the nuclear reactor powering the frigates fusion drives had expoded and the radiaton had caused the spartans to mutate into what '117' found to be flood. these were not bound by a gravemind and were mindless saveges prone to the smell of flesh. the covenent were picked off fast and a distress call using UNSC proto type slip space comunications was sent strait to High command on the fighter class frigite, Infinity. they responded only imediatly and dispatched multiple squadrons to eliminate the flood threat and regain control of the island complex. the loss of the frigate the is the least of your problems as you and a small pocket of spartans are the only thing which stands between a break out of flood infections. many of you will not come back, but those if you that do, know this you will not return to high command as it is most likly we will be over thrown by the covenant fleet by your return... good luck to you all - Petty Officer John , UNSC infinity Link (before the crash): http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/players/hordys8096/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=8a74824a-b5a2-4494-a03d-e13c5ad618d6 Link (after the crash): http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/players/hordys8096/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=893677c6-a279-49c5-a861-9d8e86661b15 Flood game type: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/players/hordys8096/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameSettings&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=a210ee7a-c977-46e2-945b-05969bde0e02
