  1. Hello everybody! I'm going straight to the point: ELITES CAN STILL BE SAVED! And by that, I mean 343 is still able to listen to a whole bunch of Sangheili fans, such as myself. Elites were playable since Halo 2, and were not playable only in Halo: CE. Even though Halo Reach did not have the option to play as elites in every gametype, we were still able to play as them in Custom Games, Forge and special gametypes. I have seen many topics regarding such a thing, and some replies to those topics were, mostly, not the most "appreciatable" by Sangheili fans. Of course, we, Sangheili fans, are fewer than the Spartan fanbase. And I know that you who bought Halo 4 expecting playable Elites and/or Elite Ops to be in the game were frustrated (that includes me!). BUT 343 can still release a game DLC in which we have Elite player models. Also, 343 has been updating H4 recently and frequently, so I'd be satisfied for now with at least one or another Gametypes with Elites (Invasion, Elite Slayer etc.). Well that's MY opinion. But what is YOUR opinion? Do you think 343i will listen to the Sangheili voice? Or do you think they will ignore our beggings and bury our voice with a filthy rock? Just to warn any 343 employee that might be reading this post: Please, we are begging you to bring back playable Elites in Halo 4, and you may lose a LOT of support from Sangheili fans!
  2. Let's go straight to the point: Elites in Halo 4 - True or False? Well this is a general discussion (not quite too sure is spelled this correctly) topic about the mighty Sangheili species. For what my researches had led me to, there is a quite big chance of 343 adding our favorite species, the Sangheili. Going back to that picture in which a guy in a forum said that Thel 'Vadamee (the Arbiter) will have appeareances in Spartan Ops and Elite Ops are in the game. All of you who bought Halo 4 noticed that there wasn't such a thing as Elite Ops in the "raw" game, but it may be added to the game through DLC. Think with me: the 2nd season of Spartan Ops, a DLC that includes not only Elite Ops, but some gametypes that includes playable Sangheili. Now for the GD (General Discussion): Many, and I mean MANY people have been saying that they either do not care about Sangheili or that they do not like them. They say lots of stuff, but almost every single of them end up in "get over it". People say it's insane to research the Sangheili culture, and following it is madness. They say those "old space dinosaurs are wothless, just a secondary skin for your character, unnecessary". They say we are wierd because we role-play as our favorite species, and say worshipping them is insanity. Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting something to change. And that is what you, the ones who are against the Sangheili, are doing. You say the same thing over and over again, "get over it", "face it", expecting to change our mind about our beliefs and whatever else we do. That, my brothers, is insanity. You say we are close minded, that we do not accept others' opinions. All I have to say about this is that we DO accept others' opinions, but just because we accept your opinion, it does not mean we HAVE to follow it! You, ALL of you who are against the Sangheili might, shall perish when we are heard! We will NOT accept such cricticism against ourselves! RISE, my brothers! Rise, so we may defeat those who oppose us! Alright, that is it for now. Thanks for taking your time to read this and responding, and have a good day.
  3. My personal opinion on all of these new features for Halo 4. I'm actually excited for Halo 4, and do NOT think it will be like COD. I guess I'm part of the 1% who think that. lolololo Spartan Points I actually like this idea a lot. It sounds very similar to Halo: Reach's Credit system, and I really enjoyed being able to see myself gain money for getting kills and winning matches. The only thing Reach lacked, was a Ranking System. But it has already been stated that Halo 4 will indeed have a Ranking System, so I think this will work pretty well. Spartan Ops This Idea has me pumped! Its basically story-mode objective missions, that are updated every week. They are free, and will keep on coming for months after the game release. It seems like it will keep me, along with the rest of the Halo Community, playing Halo 4 for a while. Custom Loudouts Alright, so I am personally excited to see what exactly this is. The Custom Loudouts will consist of 4 things; Your Primary and Secondary gun, your grenade type, your armor ability, and your modifications. Also, the Jet Pack, Invisibility, and Hologram are coming back. Now ALOT of people are automatically saying that the game is ruined because of this, but I truly think their Idiots. We haven't even seen how these new features will play out, and their already judging the game itself? Like Come on, its not going to be like COD, 343i is smarter than that. You will most likely only be able to choose regular weapons like the AR, BR, and DMR as your starting guns. And the modifications will probably be things like "2% Jump Increase". So just calm down and wait to actually see the game in action. Why Reds fight Blues 343i said that multiplayer never had a purpose behind it "story-wise". Which makes perfect sense, because it doesn't. All you do in thee past games, is just kill Spartans for no reason. So to fix that, they have made it so you are a Spartan IV, and are playing virtually on the UNSC Infinity, for combat-testing purposes. The multiplayer actually being the virtual playtest.. With this new feature, I think the game will actually feel a lot cooler, and make more sense in itself. Sprint Sprint is now a default ability, and will always be there for your use. I've always wanted this, and felt like Halo: Reach kinda lacked playability, when they made it into an armor ability. Forerunner Vision So alot of people are jumping to conclusion about this "Forerunner Vision" thing, calling it COD-Like. Now Frank O' Connor has stated that this is more of a UAV type thing, and that you will not be able to see enemies across the map with it. Me personally, I think it is going to be like the night-vision option from Halo 3: ODST.
  4. I sure hope so, otherwise im gonna lose a great deal of interest in the game. It would be insulting to elite fans. Can anyone confirm?
  5. Concerned

    Tilt logic

What are the strengths and weaknesses for Covies and Prometheans? Are grunts armor or flesh? Once an Elite's shield is down, do you finish him with bullets? P.S this also extends to vehicles. bump
  6. Hi people,I love elites very much,I am a big fan of them, but I wanted to know your opinion in Halo Campaign without elites. My opinion is Halo is not anymore Halo without our snoozy silly Covy, our Elites. For me Halo without elites is like sun without light.Make your opinions!
  7. Okay so it has been rumoured that the elites will not be playable in multiplayer and many elite clans have been upset about this because they have a huge interest in them, to be honest i do to because when i saw the arbiter it made me like elites so much just the same as when everyone saw master chief they liked him as the main character and as a spartan, so why are most people saying i don't care if elites are not in halo 4? that's a little bit careless if you ask me, i remember the times the community shared with all players not judging someone for being an elite just how it should be, i just want to know what's happened to those days.. here's an idea for 343 a new melee weapon maybe to put the energy stave in halo 4 aka the honour guards staff from halo 2 would be awesome, when you pick it up you go into 3rd person and can charge with it and swing it in a variety of ways. just an idea
  8. So I was reading a post containing a lot of Halo 4 info and there was something about a possibility of "Elite Ops" in Halo 4. It'd be nice to have as it could show some story from the Elite side of the UNSC. I don't know about you guys, but I'd like to see an Elite Ops sort of game. Full Post: http://343i.org/8i Possible Elite Ops Post: http://postimage.org/image/5keldgd6n/ Looks like Elite lovers might have some luck!
  9. Hey everyone! New to the forums here so bare with me. I was thinking of an interesting gametype that I think would be cool in " Halo 4's" matchmaking. 1.) Spartans start off being dropped in from a Pelican and have to assault the Elite base wich happens to be atop a mountain. Now the spartans are armed with assault based weapons such as Spartan lasers, Rocket launchers,BR's, and Assault Rifles. Now the objective of the Spartans is to Detonate the Elite base. Now the objective of the Elite's is to defend from their base becoming detonated. They can choose between snipers, vehicles, carbines, and they have stationary turrets set up along this mountain. Now the way the Elite's win the round is simply by holding off their base . The Elite's are armed to the core and the Spartans not so much, but if one Spartan slips by the Elite's will have a very difficult time at preventing the detonation because it only takes a few seconds. The spartans are also very camouflaged as the Elite's are not. I think with allot of developing something like this would be EXTREMELY fun! Just give some feedback as to what you think thanks!
  10. Here are some action figures from Mcfarlane some of the Halo 4 characters i originally seen this from a halowaypoint thread.
  11. Ok so what do you guys think of brutes? Well, i like the brutes but they messed up the brutes in halo reach. I did not like them. If brutes return in halo 4,i would like them to return as they were in halo 2. They were strong, angry, ape looking aliens lol. They had high health. Brutes were best in halo 2. Brutes are also stronger then elites. Maybe hunters. Brutes rage more then elites. Brutes throw down thier weapons on halo 2 and brutally attack you till you die!!!! I just jump when they try punching me. Ok so will there be sentinels and the rest of the oracles in halo 4? Will the lazer beam come back? And what is UNSC infinity? I heard its a spartan ship or something. Is the infinity like some ship that took off into space and found that forrunner planet? Im guesssing the chief will fight with spartans in the campaign. That would be cool. And the covenant? The elites vs humans again??? Im guessing the same thing that i guessed about infinity and covie fleets landed there years before the truce of elites and humans. They dont know how to escape the planet or something? Well anyways, at the end of halo 4, will master chief and infinity return to the rest of humans and the arbiter from halo 3? Theres probably a 50% chance because in the trailer for halo 4, cortana was pissed and didnt want chief to leave the planet. I think the ancient awakening took her over and stuff and wont let john leave. Oh and will there please be a part in halo 4 where the elites and chief run into each other and the elites try to kill him and cortana or john tells the elites about the betrayal of the prophets and some elites stay on covie side because tghey dont believe them annd some do and the humans start teaming up with the elites and kill the new enemy and covies. I would love to have a part in there teaming up with elites. There was only one time in halo 3 to fight beside elites in floodgate. Besides the arbiter. PLEASE!!! Who agrees?? And in halo 5 there should be a brute chieftan prophet leading the covenant. A brute like tarturus in halo 2. Oh yea i doubt this will happen though but i want a flood firefight. Well bye and thanks for reading my opinions and guesses.

  14. Dear 343 Industries While I understand your reasons for elite not being playable in some parts of multiplayer like "matchmaking", will they still be a playable race in custom games, forge, firefight, etc. Please respond because you'd put a lot of player's minds at rest by answering this question that every elite fan has been asking.
  15. I love the look of this elite and Grunt! They look meaner, scarier, and funner (funner is a real word look it up, became official in 2010) to fight! But that red grunt and elite minor didn't look good... makes me sad, elite minor look was always my favorite. I got this from GameInformer.com
  16. Ok, I know this is me just being nit-picky, but I'm seriously wondering why we're forced into the red and blue team colors in any invasion mode. I mean, it's not that hard to tell who's on what team with it being Spartans vs Elites. So, why force the colors? Now, to state this in advance, I know that some of you will say that that's the only way that the game can register teams. However this is not true in the least, for when we play Firefight matchmaking it puts us into red team, however our colors remain our own. The same can be said for standard Firefight, where we are able to separate into both red & blue teams. All the while retaining our own colors. This said, I would like to propose that 343 Industries attempt to make it to where we keep our custom colors during Invasion matches. It shouldn't be that difficult to update the coding to do such, as I have just made clear that it has already been done in the Firefight modes, and could be easily distributed via: Title Update. Thank you all for taking the time to read this, -Alberio Craft- [EDIT #1] As stated by 'Kill the King': This is a good point, but the big problem against that arguement is that in the Infection playlist everyone uses their own color unless zombified, yet we're still able to tell the difference purly from the sword's unique look. I know that may not seem like much to counter your statement, however what I'm trying to get at is the fact that, just like how the zombies look different from the survivors due to one small unique detail, the Elites look quite different from the Spartans, due to the nature of their amors (Spartans = Bulky; Elites = Smooth) and the shapes of their bodies (ex: Elites are quite taller than spartans, and are almost always hunched over). [EDIT #2] To back up this claim even more, here is a quote from 'RedStarRocket91': The idea of having more of a stealth element within this game truly does have a huge appeal to people who are both professional and/or hardcore gamers. Especially due to the fact that it adds a ton more strategy for us during objective style game modes. This being said, there is also the contrast to where those who are wearing more vibrant colors (or colors that don't match the surroundings) will have a much more intimidating feel, as they come barreling down the corridors or across the fields, since they seem as if they don't have the need to camoflague themselves. Which also gives those players a slight leadership element. Those who are using the more vibrant colors would also be somewhat intimidating, as those who wish to attack the vivid colored enemy would have to think about if his opponent might have an ally lying in wait for an ambush. [EDIT #3] Now that all of these points have been both thought of and considered, I feel that it is safe to say that the original set-up for 'Invasion' with its forced Red and Blue colors is still a good way to help beginners. However, there has also been evidence which has been shown here to prove that we can determine who the enemy is without needing our colors forced upon us. This being said, I change my decision on changing 'Invasion' to not having forced colors. However, I also have not changed my mind. What I'm trying to get at here, is that it would be very wise of 343 Industries to listen to their fans for both sides of this argument, and split 'Invasion' into two types. "Standard Invasion" could easily be understood as the common Red vs Blue scenario, and then there could be "Invasion Plus" or some name like that, for those of us who wish to play Invasion with our own custom colors, and are tired of having our hands held while trying to fight. I have also posted this thread on the Halo Waypoint forums, with a poll. Make sure to go there as well, and place a vote to let 343 Industries hear your voice on the matter! http://halo.xbox.com/Forums/yaf_postst64147_Why-be-forced-to-have-different-team-colors-in--invasion.aspx
  17. In Halo:Reach, everyone knows you could largely customize your spartan to look like almost anything you want. But your elite's appearance was limited to a few selections and weren't satisfying. In Halo 3 you could customize your elite as much as you could your spartan. Of course, who knows if you'll even be able to play as the elites online? But if possible it'd be nice to customize your elite with the ultimate armor perhaps being Arbiter's?
