  1. I have found that playing on the Anniversary playlists is so much more fun than the normal playlists. It feels more like Halo 3 and it made Reach feel like I whole new game. Also, the magnum is just amazing. I've been having a lot of fun, and was wondering if anybody else agrees that the game feels better with the tweaked speed and no armor abilities. I now have complete confidence in 343 Industries.
  2. I don't know why there aren't more posts about this, as there is definitely a problem. Over several boxes, in several different locations (I went as far as 100 miles from home to test), I noticed there is terrible campaign lag with co-op. Whoever is host has a perfect play, and the client lags up to .2 to .5 seconds, making precision aiming or jumping impossible. I grew up pretty far from where I live now, and playing with all my friends from there is a blast...but not this game, not campaign, and I really hope someone finds a fix for this. I've tried a wired controller, I've tried using original graphics, and I've tried playing with someone in the same town. I'm pretty experienced in IT (it's my job), and I'm pretty sure I've ruled out all the usual suspects. I'm also running a terrible fever of 102, so forgive me for the Robo-rant.
  3. So, since I got the Anniversary maps, I've been busy forging on a couple of them. Anyone know if there is a way yet to submit community made maps for the Anniversary playlists? Because I've already seen quite a few community created maps already up in the Anniversary playlists. Anyone know how people are submitting their maps for the playlists? Have there been like, contests or something? Or is there an thread or site where you can submit your map for review and consideration? And I'm not talking about the community maps submissions that used to happen on Bungie, I'm talking about 343.
  4. Halo Games Problems We all love the halo games, but we also all know that games can't be perfect. If you have a glitch or bug that's been annoying you then post it here. I personally have one and couldn't find a place to post it. You don't have to read this next part because it is my personal expierience but feel free to leave a post. So, on saturday night-sunday morning (12/3-12/4), i was in the Reach forge working my butt off to make a Pillar of Autumn map. I finished the map at around 2:00. The next day while I was in a forge game looking at another person's map (also in forge) i clicked on save map instead of save as new map and apparently it 'overwrote' my previous save of the POA. Now, whenever i go to Pillar of Autumn in the menu of maps it changes to ODST DROPSHIP FRIGATE ( the name of the other map). So, in short my Pillar of Autumn map is lost. Also, whenever i go over to it, the description has changed to 'A blank canvas recommended for forge editing only' from the description i made which is 'This legendary ship manned by Cpt. Keyes is re-created. Map by RC1207RC'. One other weird thing is that when i look at it in the menu it says 'created by RC1207RC' but when i go to file options it says created by (person who created ODST DROPSHIP FRIGATE's gamertag). Please help me 343i! You may comment now people of the world.
  5. Do you think 343 should put the Halo franchise back onto PC as well as Xbox? and if so should they allow cross platform multiplayer? I think that it should be on pc with cross platform support but pc players do not get the aim assist and there can be controller only settings for parties that force pc players to use a controller if they join the party.
  6. PREFACE: Upon the release of CEA I'm sure there are quite a few of you out there who have been seeing/doing tricks and glitches in the game. I mean, they're fun and interesting, right? Well, I know of great place for you guys to find tricks and glitches to try in anniversary, and to catch up on your tricking lore. It's called the Halo Stunting Video Archive, and can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/h1stunting There you can find over 280 Halo: Combat Evolved tricking/glitching videos, spanning all the way back to the first real "trick" video ever released, , which was released 01/30/2002 by Randall Glass. I keep the channel up to date with the latest tricking/stunting videos and try to create handy playlists that you can use to find certain "sets" of videos on topics which you are interested in (Like ) Check it out, and if you like what you find click the subscribe button to stay up to date with the latest Halo 1 tricking videos. If you want to help out let me know. You can help me find videos, update video descriptions, and make playlists for the channel. There's always more work to be done, and I would certainly appreciate any help you can offer. Enjoy. -Mator FAQ: Stunting? Stunting is synonymous with tricking and glitching. The word was first used by Halo (PC) multiplayer trickers/glitchers in 2004-2005. You'll see I use the words interchangeably when talking on forums. This is because they really all (generally speaking) refer to the same sort of phenomenon, oddities in video games. However, when you get into the nitty-gritty they are different (like apples and oranges). How many tricks/glitches do you think there are there in Halo: Combat Evolved? The answer to this question really depends on what you consider a separate trick/glitch. Using the same general method you can produce hundreds tricks in different areas of the game, but does that make each application of the method a new trick? The answer to this question will help define the answer to the "How many?" question as something between 1000 (considering only fairly unrelated phenomenon tricks) and 10,000+ (if you consider getting into each and every rock in campaign and multiplayer a separate trick). Why did you make the archive? I made the Halo Stunting Video Archive because I love Halo tricking and because I had seen so many great videos disappear over the years. So I decided to take the initiative and make an archive where all such videos can be found and preserved (for you and those who follow!) There's so many videos! Where do I start? You can just go random if you want, that's always an easy solution. Or you can try to start with some of the really old videos. Check out the playlists for , , , , , and . These videos are mainly from before 2005, and will give you a good background on some classic tricks. Once you're through with those check out , , , and some of the more modern video playlists ( , TFA, Ladders, etc.). 7. ive recently been playing the anniversary map pack for reach. ive experienced each map. some of them were, of course, better than others. the new anniversary slayer brings back bleedthrough, the CE pistol as well as other modifiers. i rate the map pack at 8/10. although most of the maps are great fun to play, a few of them dont really work with reach. below, im going to list my favourite maps in order from least favourite to most favourite breakneck hang em high solitary timberland battle canyon penance breakneck is too big a map for my liking and the vehicles make it a bit one sided(if one team gets the gauss hog, theyve pretty much won). hang em high is too open, if you respawn in the middle area, your pretty much dead. people just cross map. solitary is ok, but it feels too much like sword base. the multiple levels make it slightly confusing timberland is quite big, however, since there are numerous vehicles and outposts, there is plenty to do on this map. battle canyon is a bit too small, especially with a sniper rifle on the map. however, it is still great fun due to the enclosed spaces as well as the wide open spaces. the teleporters offer strategic routes if your playing capture the flag. penance is medium sized, with lots of enclosed spaces as well as wide open spaces. the weapons and their placements are perfect for the size of the map. the layout offers strategic options for objective games, due to its multiple levels. and, whilst there are closed in paces, nobody really camps on this map. below, im including a link to my first ever game on penance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbndHtK_DoU
  8. I think 343 did a wonderful job with the remake of the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary campaign! I'm not as impressed with the multiplayer. I understand that Hemmorrhage is already included in Halo: Reach but frankly I feel that map is a disgrace to the original, I would like a 1:1 replica of the original blood gulch, updated of course and possibly the every other map from the original Halo, the remake as I see it is a tribute to the original, so why only include 6 maps, not to mention several are Halo 2 maps. I spent 40 dollars for the disc, I don't want to switch to Halo: Reach every time I want to play Blood Gulch, given that then why not just play all the maps on Halo: Reach? well why did I spend 40 dollars for a disc, the selling point of the Halo franchise is the multiplayer why not give a little more effort in bringing back all the maps. So I say give us a DLC Give us Blood Gulch, not Hemmorhage Give me Rat Race, Sidewinder, and Longest I just want a complete Remastered Halo: CE
  9. I'm wondering if anyone has found any clues to what's going to happen in Halo 4. 343 did say that there would be secrets revealed about halo 4 in anniversary and if you found any share them here. OP please refer to my post in your thread, all others please no more responses. OP please respond when you read my response so I can close this thread. Absolute Dog
  10. I pre-ordered Anniversary but I don't own Reach. My question is: Does anniversary include the multiplayer maps that come packaged with Reach or does anniversary only include the Re-imagined H1 & H2 maps. Essentially would I have to buy Reach to get the full MP portion?
  11. Here is a look at Hang em high which will be known as High Noon.
