  1. Hi! Seeing as the juggernaut in charge of Halo right now turned the game into a Microtransaction barbie-simulator, there has been this question that I've been dying to ask. Since there will be customizable armor akin to Halo 3, Reach, and so forth, I'm curious as to how the armor will be unlocked (unless I'm actually stupid and there won't be any armor, in which case I'm gonna kill all of my friends for lying) Will it be like in Halo 3, where the armor is to be earned by achievement-like unlocks? Like how you had to get the special skulls, complete the final mission with 4 friends in ghosts on the hardest difficulty, and so forth to get the Recon armor, Or will it be more like Halo reach where you get credits for playing and you can spend those credits on the armor you want? Or perhaps a combination of the two, where some armor is unlockable via a credit system, while others are achievement-only? Then again I may just be stupid and there won't be any armor at all. ----- hmmm.. If there isn't a planned development for armor, perhaps I could allocate my time to 3d modeling and creating the models and textures for the armor? If you're not doing armor since it's most likely a waste of time, would you allow me to waste my time and implement models of mine that you enjoy?
  2. I did some of the H2A multiplayer achievements, some of the Easter egg multiplayer achievements, and all of the ones on the campaign level "Metropolis" but they aren't unlocking. What can I do to fix it? Does it need to be updated?
  3. So I buy an Xbox for this game specifically, only to have the very first achievement stuck in "Done: Unlocking...." mode. I've tried all suggestions by Microsoft (Removing account from console, uninstalling/re-installing game, forcing a profile sync) and nothing. Not a good way to start the game, and not much faith for trying to get the other achievements. What the what? I've been xboxing since day 1 and never...NEVER had an achievement stuck like this. Can anyone here help me? It's really really frustrating. Is this game really that buggy?
  4. My 'Archivist' achievement for ODST in the MCC has said 'Done! Unlocking...' since June. I have tried contacting Xbox support and they directed me to 343 Studios, which sent me here. From what I've gathered there's no way to actually contact 343 directly, so I'm hoping someone might have some tips or ideas I can try? Obviously not a huge issue, just more of an annoyance and I'd like it to just unlock. I've tried completely uninstalling/reinstalling my profile and fixing some settings (per xbox support) and have tried redoing what was necessary for this achievement (Find the 26th audio log) and still no luck. Anything I can try?
  5. With the release date coming ever so close, 343i decided to let us see the achievements that will be available to us on the 27th. They showed this in a recent blog. I must warm you for potential spoilers as some of the achievements concern the campaign. In my opinion they're not that spoiler heavy, but be warned that they could reveal something. Here's the list of achievements: Click at your own descretion! These are all of the achievements available at launch and are, as usual, collectively worth 1000 gamerscore. We can expect more achievements to be added with each (free) DLC. If you have decided to view the list, what are your thoughts on these achievements and which ones are you going the extra mile for? Let us know down below! Thank you for reading!
  6. Dear all, I have come to realise that Halo2 PC servers will not be online indefinately, this in itself is not a problem, a game like so many things in life has to come to an end and although Im fairly new to the PC version I have come to enjoy it very much. The population currently is past what many other publishers would deem dead and I am grateful for the servers being kept online. All I ask is that when 343i/Microsoft decide to shut down the severs please give adeqaute notice so the people who enjoy Halo 2 Vista can cram all the online play and achievements in before the close and have one final hurrah for the game. Thank you very much for your time, hopefully someone higher up will consider this at the least, Sincerely, HuxWard
  7. If anyone wants to boost DLC achievments let me know. my gamertag is XxheffyxX add me up preferably if u have more than 1 controller, but its okay if you dont loooking to get at least 8 for a lobby really disapoints me that theres no DLC playlist in H4 otherwise i wouldnt resort to this
  8. Im one of the players that really likes playing for the challenges and achievement not just to kill other players. I enjoy the campaign missions both solo and co-op. BUT as I complete these hard missions and the game says completed but Achievements says "DONE, Unlocking" WTF 343. MY halo 4 says 10/10 completed. But my achievements are still trying to unlock, and the gamer tag items are still locked, even though I have completed the campaign on Legendary. I know im not the only one with this issue. please chine in and give us an update on when this will be fixed I really don't want to have to spend hours re doing all this over again. Some of these achievements are very hard to get.
  9. Big thread developing over achievement problems at Halo Waypoint - https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/84ad72a8b51847978545f685f651fc15/topics/achievements-not-working/3f30843e-6f5b-45ca-8d7f-7b6e49f92a9e/posts I did a quick search but didn't see a lot of posts here about achievement problems here. What I've encountered so far - Completed Achievements not unlocking or showing as 100% - 1. Pillar of Autumn - Halo CE: Complete The Pillar of Autumn. 2. Halo - Halo CE: Complete Halo. 3. Skulltaker Halo: CE: Mythic - Halo CE: Find and claim the Mythic skull in remastered mode. 4. Skulltaker Halo: CE: Boom - Halo CE: Find and claim the Boom skull in remastered mode. 5. Sacrifice - Halo CE: Activate Terminal 2 on Halo. Achievements successfully unlocked - 1. Just Getting Started - Kill 100 enemies or players. 2. Balaho's Most Wanted - Kill 100 Grunts. Achievements unlocked successfully - THEN RE-LOCKED 1. My Buddy Chips - Halo CE: Fight alongside Chips Dubbo and listen to his words of wisdom. ^ How can it re-lock? Yes, I'm saying this achievement successfully unlocked but is now showing as locked. I've also lost all progress functionality in the achievements app. Earlier I did see a few listed as 100% with the word "unlocking" awkwardly beside it... Now those are gone, and all achievements like the "Kill 100 Elites" show as 0%. Additional information - - I've tried a hard reboot of the console. - I've signed out without Halo running, signed in and re-launched the game. - I've signed out with Halo running, signed in when prompted and continued. - I began playing around 1pm PST - I'm using the disc version - Any sort of stats screen via 'Career' times out and tells me to try again later. Thanks, hopefully this can get sorted out soon.
  10. I want to start off by saying that I began my Xbox journey with the Chief. I've had so many memories made controller-in-hand in Halo over the years. To that end, and being that Halo:MCC is such a massive fan service, I wanted to do something to commemorate it. I've become a bit of an obsessive achievement hunter, but my gamerscore gains have always lagged behind the "big dogs" due to a relentless pursuit of 100% completion. This year though, I saw Halo:MCC coming down the pipeline and thought what better way for an achievement hunter like myself to celebrate four epic Chief titles bundled into one incredible package than to hit a big milestone with it? The only problem? I was really, REALLY far away from a good one. I had less than 300,000gs when the year started and the credible rumours began circulating. I believed them but didnt know what milestone to use. I considered 343,000 but realized that I would quite possibly overshoot that even if just playing anticipated titles like Destiny and FH2. Then after the announcement of 4k gamerscore in the collection IT HIT ME... 400,000GS Of course! Four Halo titles on one disc, four thousand gamerscore, and landing on four hundred thousand! It's the trifecta... of fours.... the quadfecta? But I was still really far away. So I did something a tad insane. I imported a Japanese 360 and 25 visual novs, dating sims, etc. I played them simultaneously while playing Xbox One games in July, earning 45,000+ gamerscore that month alone, putting me well on pace to reach 396k in time. I'm currently knee deep in Destiny and just over 390,000gs total. I should easily reach 396,000 by Nov 11th, at which point I will stop. Then when Halo MCC launches I shall complete it for the full 4k, landing me on exactly 400,000gs. I should have 400 total completed games at the time too, although I'll have to forego being at 100% completion. So shortly after Halo MCC launches it will be the four titles that get me to my four hundredth completion, another 4,000gs, and a total of 400,000gs to date. The only thing that remains is seeing the achievement list and figuring out which one to make my FINAL achievement for the completion. November can't come soon enough. You and me Chief, you and me.
  11. Lets see here oh yes Ricochet is probably going to be back on matchmaking so I'm hoping to earn an achievement called (hat trick). So if anybody would like to earn an achievement called midnight launch, Im the guy to talk to!

  14. In Bungie's Weekly Update this week, they showed off juicy details for Destiny like Achievements, a hint at a Collector's Edition, and more announcements coming up, it's all here! In this week's Bungie update, Urk filled in for the typical Community Manager Deej, as he tore into some rather important questions in large detail. Heading to Bungie.net, the first question had to deal with the whopping $500 Million price tag for marketing, as Urk explained how this wasn't near the cost of development, and very little of that actually went into Bungie's work on the game, the majority was just to get it advertised and marketed. The next was relating to the heavily controversial Ghost dialogue heard in the Alpha, voiced by Peter Dinkleage, where it was revealed work is being done right now to redo some lines and more will be done after the Beta, as Bungie tries to clean up the mess. A more humorous question asked about the 'That Wizard Came From The Moon' shirts in the Bungie store, as Urk cleared up that they are still available. A huge announcement, the Achievements and Trophies for Destiny were revealed, there are a total of 40 of them, too many to list individually, but some stand out ones are definitely Ghost Hunter, where you must discover 50 deceased Ghosts, Inspector, where you must inspect another Guardian, and Blink of an Eye, kill 5 enemies in 3 seconds. The full list is in the picture below. View attachment: Destinyachievements.jpg To finish it off, we have three more questions, there are a few more after, but they are mainly jokingly and give us no real info. One question was asked as to how long the beta for Destiny in July will run, to which we were told that it's all still in the works and no finalized date has been decided upon. The next, if there will be a Collector's Edition released alongside Destiny, as Urk responded teasingly, "It’s almost as if we’re planning to drop all the information you need, and more, ahead of Beta on an auspicious date in the very near future." Finally, someone asked if it was official that Destiny is rated T for Teen by the ESRB, as it was confirmed by Urk. Destiny will launch with a T rating to broaden the audience, and contains only 'Animated Blood' and 'Violence'. They also linked to a Polygon piece on the problem with Halo being rated M for Mature, which I highly recommend you look at, as it is featured in the article linked above. View attachment: 2508271-destiny1.jpg To end off on a question, do you wish to see a Collector's Edition for Destiny? If so, what would it need to have to sell you on it, and how much could it cost? Discuss below, and thanks for reading the article! Note: Remember in the last Weekly News Wrap-Up where I promised I'd do one on Friday and not Saturday? Well, I'm skipping a week, yay! They'll resume at regular time next Saturday, the 5th, for now, enjoy... This.

  18. Now that the Xbox One has released, I'd like to get your thoughts on what has been your best ever DLC on the Xbox 360, this could be anything, best ever maps, best ever add-on campaign DLC, so come on forum, whats been the best DLC you've downloaded and why? heres a few of mine and why 1) Gears of War 3 - RAAM's Shadow, not only did it tell a bit of back story, but it also let you play as the great General RAAM himself, I always love campaign DLC, especially when it fills in the gaps 2) Red Dead Redemeption - Undead Nightmares - its not often a DLC is sold as a standalone game, this is what Rockstar did when they released Undead Nightmare, it took the game of RDR and turned it on its head to bring a game which is a LOT of fun. 3) Halo Reach Noble Map Pack - for me the best of the map packs for Reach, not only were the maps aesthetically pleasing, they also played well, Breakpoint still being my favourite map to play on.... 4) Batman Arkham City - Harleys Revenge - Batman DLC has historically been challenge map after challenge map, which lets face it blows, Harleys Revenge, took the campaign and expanded on it, harder gameplay, played as Robin, and filled in a few more gaps, plus some interesting achievements to boot. 5) Halo 4 - Champions Bundle - buying the whole lot for 800MSP, was definetly value for money, maps, armor, stances, emblems, and a new gametype, who doesnt love Ricochet??? I'll add more at a later date after giving it some more thought so whats yours?

My GT is Mr iLL City. Thanks!
  23. I've seen a couple other people post about finishing the campaign and not getting the achievement. In most cases, it's because one of the missions didn't get registered as being finished...even though they were able to keep right on playing through the end. This makes some sense...otherwise you could "unlock" just the final mission playing co-op with a friend, then finish it on your own to get the campaign achievement. But not registering the completion in the first place is still a bug, so I'm reporting my sequence of events as best I remember it (it was late at night so the specifics of exactly where I stopped each session are a little fuzzy). Playing through Halo 4 campaign in multiple sittings: -played missions 4-6 (partway) -turned off xbox (not save and quit) -when I resumed the campain, it stared me back on 4 (where I had started the day before) -I quit and found that I could select where I left off in the campaign hub -finished the campaign but...didn't get any of the achievements for finishing the campaign On investigating I found: No achievement for finishing chapter 6 When I selecting where to start in the campaign hub, I could select all the rally points in mission 6 ...so I selected the last rally point and finished the mission again...still no achievement, still no finished mission in hub Did some research, saw a couple other people complain about missing saves/achievements, but no fix other than "play it again" So I played mission 6 again...sortof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uFKRjpD1Jg Thank goodness for shortcuts because I did NOT want to go through the gondola sequences again. ...when I finished, it registered and posted the mission and campaign achievements If anyone else had a similar experience, please post it. I suspect it has to do with quiting by turning off the xbox instead of going through the "Save and Quit" sequence, so anyone who can confirm or refute that would be helpful.
  24. I JUST completed the campaign on Legendary (it was amazing!) however there is a major problem. I was awarded the commendation and armor for completing it on Legendary but I was not given the achievements for completing the campaign at all and it locked all of the mission from 6 on down and said I never finished them. Does anyone know how I can fix this without replaying the entire campaign? The game will also reset my curret armor, emblem, loadouts, and sometimes lock them again when I sign in. What the hell is going on???!!! bump
  25. Alright if you're going through and finishing all of the Halo Xbox360 titles (again) before the release of Halo 4, like myself.. You no doubt have seen, attempted or (god hoping) already conquered the Halo Reach achievement If they came to hear me beg Performed an Assassination against an Elite to survive a fall that would've been fatal. EVERYONE on the internet insists that it is easy if you start up the "final" mission Pillar of Autumn, and jump off the cliff and get that elite just right down there, well that is NOT easy, I tried countless times in 3 different separate sessions, hours... Not fun / didn't work. On the 3rd (playable) mission, Nightfall, it is SO easy. It took me a total of only 4 attempts and only 2 successful assassinations. YES! Play the mission on legendary difficulty from the beginning, at the start you have to take out an elite via silent assassination and then beat down 2 sleeping grunts (NOTE: if they shoot at all, just let them kill you because you won't be able to do the achievement afther that).. Now continue to this link and skip forward to about 1:50 in the video provided. All credit goes to these fellas and GEEZE it was so easy! No need to even quit sprinting!!!! WORKS! http://cruellegaceyproductions.com/guides-tutorials/achievement-guides/if-they-came-to-hear-me-beg/
