  1. Today was the day microsoft finally revealed their new xbox, quite a few interesting things were revealed today with more on the way at E3 in just a matter of weeks. So lets go through some of the main things that was shown at todays presentation. The name. Microsoft has revealed the name of the new xbox, Xbox One. Not a name that many of us were expecting hear for the new console, the reason for the name is for the "all in one experience" the new console will have, games, entertainment and TV. The look. From the picture above we see the actual console itself, the new controller and the kinect camera/sensor. The new console design is not bad but they could have stayed away from the chunky straight edge look and more of a curvy smooth design, but it's still ok. The new controller hasn't changed too much from the 360 controller except for a few minor details, the over all shape and layout is the same but has an extension with a glossy finish that sits at the top of the main body where the bumper buttons and the xbox home button (now touch sensitive) are located, the thumbs sticks hasn't change much except for the grip around the edges. The kinect sensor has a bit of a different look this time. It has a flat front service with one camera lens, the movement sensor along the botton and it will be included with each Xbox one. The Power. The Xbox One specs revealed 8 Core CPU 8 GB System Memory 500 GB HDD Blu Ray Drive 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct HDMI In/Out USB 3.0 The Xbox one will feature Skype, be able watch TV and a snap feature which allows the user to do more than one thing at a time e.g you can watch a movie and browse the web at the same time without closing down one application to access another. Xbox One unveil video Exclusives Microsoft confirmed that 15 titles will be exclusive only to xbox when the console is launched, we don't know what the titles are or who is developing them but no doubt E3 will shed light on that. Well they did show us a trailer of one of the Xbox One's exclusives, Quantum Break developed by Remedy. Halo 343 was briefly in the spotlight at the presentation but not to show of any video game related content, but to confirm a live action TV series and Steven Spielberg will be involved with it, but what role he will be playing is currently unknown. That's pretty much the main parts of the presentation, I will try and add a video of the full presentation for those have have not seen it yet.
  2. Recently, video game store GameStop put up a listing for Xbox One and PS4 versions of The Walking Dead from Telltale Games, apparently releasing in June of this year. The Walking Dead episodic series, made by Telltale Games, was a skyrocket hit in 2012 and continues to be so today with more seasons for the license, and according to GameStop.com, the license is expanding. GameStop posted two new additions to it's gallery of titles for Xbox One and PS4, The Walking Dead: Game of the Year Edition for each platform mentioned. It will launch June 17th, 2014 according to the listing, alongside quite a few other June titles like The Last of Us. It is likely to contain the same as it's counterparts on the Old Generation systems, the full First Season. It is priced at $29.99, the same as it's Old Generation versions. 3. In an effort to help gamer's understand the XBOX One's capabilities and what some actual features are Marc Whitten, Chief XBOX ONE platform architect, answers some questions posed by Ryan McCaffrey, IGN’s Executive Editor of Previews and Xbox Guru-in-Chief. Below is a current IGN article that highlights a series of questions and their answers. Ask Microsoft Anything About Xbox One Answers on Microsoft's new console, straight from the horse's mouth! Soure: I GN As the Xbox One gets closer to its November launch, many questions remain about how the console works and what it can do. So we reached out to Microsoft and asked them if they could definitively clarify some of these things. They obliged, and so we'll be bringing you a handful of Ask Microsoft Anything answers each Monday at 2pm PDT/5pm EDT. Bookmark this page, as we'll update this article so that all the answers live in one easy-to-find place. Oh, and if you've got a question for Microsoft about the Xbox One, send it to our Podcast Unlocked team at unlocked@ign.com and we'll make sure Microsoft sees it! Are Xbox 360 Avatars transferring over? If so will any changes be made to them? MARC WHITTEN, CHIEF XBOX ONE PLATFORM ARCHITECT: They are – your avatar will be on the system at launch and in fact, you’ll have some new options, including the ability to do full-body HD gamerpics. By the way, we should actually talk more about gamerpics too. We’ve moved from the 64x64 gamerpics on Xbox 360 to a full 1080p. They are beautiful, and you are going to see some really cool hero moments, like when you login to see personalized views of your games and other content. Can you clarify how will Xbox Live Arcade work on Xbox One? Or if it will exist at all? WHITTEN: Sure – there is no difference between games in the store – games are games are games! You’ll find them in the same pivots (most popular, new, etc.) and we’ll be highlighting them in our dashboard experience. And of course – like all of your digital games content – you can play them on any Xbox One, and anyone can play them on your Xbox One. Will the Game DVR capture at the source resolution? i.e. will Forza 5 clips capture at 1080p and 60fps? And where can Game DVR clips be uploaded to? WHITTEN: Game DVR captures beautiful clips at 720p 30fps. The first thing you’ll see with our game DVR is the integration of our Upload service on the console. This service allows you to manage, edit, and share your content. Your clips are stored in the cloud. Also, you’ll see games making “magic moment” videos of your gameplay based on the game DVR functionality – all seamlessly integrated. You’ll be able to see these clips in the Xbox One Guide, in your own game DVR collection, and when you are looking at gamercards on the system. You’ll also see games take advantage of this platform capability and do interesting things to integrate captured game footage into the game experience itself. Can you earn two sets of Achievements for the same game (i.e. Playing Call of Duty Ghosts on Xbox 360 and on Xbox One)? WHITTEN: Every game has its own set of achievements, so if you’re playing Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox 360 and on Xbox One, you can earn a separate set of Gamerscore in each game. But on the Xbox One version, you’re getting a much richer set of features, such as seeing your achievements progress on the Xbox One console, being able to unlock new achievements throughout the year, and earning real prizes inside and outside of the game. Xbox One also enables a new concept of challenges, where games will be offering special time-based opportunities to earn various goals and collect the rewards. More info on challenges can be found on Major Nelson's blog here.
  4. Phil Spencer has announced instant screenshot sharing for the Xbox One. Phil Spencer has taken to Twitter to reply to a fan, here's the full conversation: Jamie Marris: @XboxP3 any plans to bring the ability to share in game screenshots to say social networks? I.e twitter? Phil Spencer: @jmarris09 Yea, this is the list for the monthly updates, team is making great progress on the updates. More features to come. Now which social networking platforms this will land on is unknown at this time, but it will likely have Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Players already have the ability to stream gameplay through Twitter and even upload gameplay directly to YouTube, but this will give players yet another option to share their Xbox One experience. This will likely come as just a small update, and likely will not be part of the larger update coming in June. The update coming in June will be massive, and if you've yet to read about it, you can do so HERE. What do you think of this update? Are you looking forward to all of these updates coming to the Xbox One? Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments below. SOURCE:TWITTER

Phil Spencer sat down with TiC Podcast to discuss all things Xbox, he announced that the Xbox team are working on new ways for users to customize their Xbox One's dashboard. Such things will include the ability to take pictures and in-game screenshots to set as the background for the dashboard. “I was told themes and background pics are something that we are working on and screenshots, you know people beat me up on screenshots,” Spencer stated. These features are still currently in development so there isn't a confirmed date when they will be released, all that can be said at this time is they will come with a future monthly update. He went on to say "I think both themes, backgrounds and screenshots are things I know people want so we are going to deliver on them. 9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92wj_sGYwww Today Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition was released in Europe. My copy came through the door and I thought I'd make a video showing you what comes with it if you pre-order it. It comes with an Art Book full of amazing Concept Art. You have character designs, some nice illustrations of Hong Kong, you see Wei Shen in action, and some of the in-game scenes. I think it looks amazing. There's not much for a bonus overall, but I think it looks great and is something I'm happy with. The game itself is remastered and contains all DLC free of charge. It is released on the 14th of October in North America. If you played the original Sleeping Dogs and really liked it, you should definitely purchase this. If you've never played it before and you've got an Xbox One, PS4, or PC to game on, then you should give it a try. Are you going to get Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition? What do you think about it?
  10. It was announced that the Xbox One system update would be coming today, but Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson announced that the update will not be arriving today but sometime this week as it still needs to be finalized. "FYI: The February #XboxOne System Update will ship this week, but not today." Major Nelson announced on his twitter page, "The team is working on finalizing. More details when I get them." In related news it has been confirmed that the update will need to be manually accepted, Microsoft told Kotaku, just like the 360 updates. But it will also allow future updates to be enabled and to download in the background if that option is enabled, which is a feature that is part of the system update. This weeks update will include; Better system stability. Improved kinect voice commands. Power Indicator that monitors the controllers battery life. Ability to check and manage storage space. USB keyboard support. Background updates. With the update planned for March 4th it will be focusing on bringing better party and multiplayer system. So what are your thoughts on the upcoming updates, are you happy with what they will be bringing? Source(s) Major Nelson's twitter, Kotaku, Digital Spy
  11. A recent slue of rumors and debates argued whether Titanfall would run at 1080p or not, today we have learned that Titanfall will be running at native 792p at Launch. Titanfall's grand launch on Xbox One and PC is fast approaching with the midnight release already happening in some places, so naturally, fans of the game wondered what the resolution would be, seeing as it is so late in the pre-release window. Today, it's been officially confirmed by lead engineer Richard Baker that Titanfall runs just short of 800p. Richard said that, "There was an issue with decals taking a lot more time than they should which we fixed for launch, The worst-case scenarios are better, I think. The average is probably about the same as the beta." Reports had already surfaced on sites like mp1st.com that the game would run at this level, but nearly no one could believe the rumor to be true, as they believed this would be the first hit exclusive to run at a full 1080p. View attachment: titanfall0617-610b.jpg This however, does not mean that this couldn't be rectified in a patch in the near future. In fact, it's likely that the game will be patched. Baker went on to say, "For day one it's not going to change. We're still looking at it for post-day one. We're likely to increase resolution after we ship." This could mean that a 1080p Titanfall will exist somewhat in the near future after a couple of patches. This is sad information for those who were expecting much higher resolutions from the game, but has this swayed your opinion on purchasing Titanfall for Xbox One?
  12. A few hidden games has appeared on the xbox dashboard, this brief article from polygon with go through them and try to see what these could be. Title speaks for itself, of course you have the big image Quantum Break, and Forza 5. I wouldn't look too far into Halo, it's just a logo and we'll inevitably get one.... But the other images 1. Bottom left green Crackdown agility orb, I don't know why they would use that unless we're getting a sequel (a real one this time). 2. Bottom right has the Rare logo, if its an HD realization of a old franchise I wouldn't know what it is. 3. Middle right is almost certainly Ryse (roman buildings) 4. Top right, most intriguing to me, kind of gives me Fable vibe (Seer eyes) I wouldn't look too far into the image between Forza and Halo, kind of looks like the Demo stuff 18 seconds in there. (I guess it could still be from a game?) *-Update:* As Tom Warren points out the one betwean Forza and Halo is likely the the family kids game set on an island he reported on. http://www.theverge.com/2013/4/11/4212054/next-xbox-launch-titles-ryse-forza

  15. Hello everyone, I'm LEGENDARY ENGRAM, and welcome to the Weekly News Wrap-Up. I just want to let everyone know next week I'm taking an extremely important set of tests that will help determine what High School I end up in, and another advanced test a few weeks later, so do wish me luck! Anyway, let's get down to our spooky set of articles. This is gonna be a bit weird as two articles are on the same game, but keep reading and you'll understand. Sunset Overdrive Gets Exclusive Content for Day One, Season Pass, and Pre-Orders! Sunset Overdrive looks to be Insomniac Games' next big hit, with explosive action, hilarious humour, and crisp visuals. GameInformer.com reports if you pre-order, get the day one edition, or get the season pass you'll be one of the elite entitled to more goodies in the game at launch. One such example is pre-ordering on Xbox Live, which will net you Acordes de la Meurte, a guitar with melting candles littered on it, and the Hangover, a prickly spiked dumb-bell bat. Pre-ordering will entitle you to two weapons and a costume of the game's mascot. There are others exclusive to certain retailers, but the Season Pass also has a few interesting additions. Purchasing will grant you access to six outfits, two weapon modifiers, and two traps. Are you angered these bonuses aren't in the game even though they're already made? Let me know below! Dragon Age: Inquisition PC Specs Revealed Dragon Age: Origins held some promise, which was quickly squashed away by it's successor, Dragon Age II, and will hopefully be somewhat restored in the third, Dragon Age: Inquisition. IGN.com uploaded the game's PC specs if you're looking to buy the game on it's best looking and running platform. You'll need a minimum of Windows 7 or 8.1, and a recommended at the same level. There is an 8 GB of system memory recommended label, but 4GB is fine if you want a minimal experience. 512 MB Graphical Memory is the minimum for the game, but in a massive jump, 3 GB memory is recommended. Hard Drive space is the same for both, 26 GB. Graphics and CPU of course range, but it's recommended you have a more up to date one like an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660. Are you purchasing the game on PC or console, if at all? Debate below! Dragon Age: Inquisition 900p on Xbox One, 1080p on PS4 Another interesting piece of news on Inquisition, the game's developers revealed that the game will run lower on the Xbox One than on the PS4. GameSpot.com has the story, where they report that the PS4 version will run at a full 1080p, and the Xbox One version at only 900p. Bioware had this to say, "We maximized the current potential of each platform." basically meaning currently that's all they can push out of both systems. Inquisition isn't the only game to be skimped on the Xbox One, games like Assassin's Creed Unity and Sunset Overdrive have been graphically cut because of a lack of good hardware. Is only 900p fine with you, or do you expect more from next gen? Discuss below! Welp, that's all for this week, I'm Legendary Engram, signing out! 20. Over the past couple of days there has been an avalanche of Xbox news that has come out of this years GamesCom, from reveals of Halo: The Master Chief Collection to Xbox exclusive deals and new bundles. But one piece of news that has gone unnoticed by many (myself included) is that the Xbox One will soon allow users to watch Movies and TV shows from USB devices or DLNA through a home network. One of Xbox's lead engineers, Ashley Speicher, talked about a list of features that will be coming soon to the Xbox One in future updates and one of those features is that it will be compatible with a long list of media file formats, some that are already compatible with the Xbox 360 and some that weren't before such as .mkv, gif's, and Mpeg 2TS. "Soon, Xbox One owners will be able to watch videos, listen to music, and browse photos from USB and DLNA with the most popular file formats, including Mpeg 2 TS, .MKV and animated gifs by the end of the year," Ashley Speicher said in an interview with Xbox Wire. This feature will come to great use to Xbox One owners as it offers a large list of supported files but may somewhat bring controversy as pirated content can be used. To get the full listed of supported file formats click the source link below. Another useful feature that is coming will allow users to view their friends, join parties, read messages and view achievements through snap mode, so there won't be any interruption while playing games or using apps. One of the other new features coming is called "Threaded Messages" what that does is that it allows users to view full conversation history it can also be done. There will also be an update to friends activities, users will be able to view the most played games their friends have been playing and a Gamerscore leaderboard will be coming which will allow gamers to compare how much their Gamerscore has gone up compared to their friends over the last 30 days. Click the source below to watch the interview and to get a look at the new features coming to the Xbox One. What do you think about the new features and apps coming to the Xbox One? Are you looking forward to them? Leave a comment below. Source: Xbox Wire This post has been promoted to an article

  23. The highly praised action game from 2012, Sleeping Dogs, is coming to next generation consoles this fall according to an Amazon listing! When it comes to 'listings' on games that aren't confirmed, most of all we see is a brief extra option to a certain game, for example a recent Halo The Master Chief Collection listing for PC, however, today this isn't the case. Amazon.com has listed the popular action-adventure shooter from 2012 known as Sleeping Dogs. The game is the full package, including an art book, DLC, and a redesigned cover that looks to also have a slipcase to it. It is incredibly rare to actually have a listing show the entire new cover and features and not be officially confirmed by the company yet. However, the listing is still there and will likely stay, meaning Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, is confirmed! The game is listed as $59.99 USD and will launch October 14th for retail and possibly download soon after. If you pre-order now from Amazon, you will get the exclusive concept art book alongside the game, it is unknown if this book will also be available at retail. Will you be purchasing this re-release, and did you enjoy the original game if you've played it? Let me know below, thanks for the read! This post has been promoted to an article
