  2. Alright everyone, this topic is easy and simple. If you do not have an Xbox One, I request you disregard this thread and do not vote. All votes are public, so we can see who voted. Now, that's that. What I'm asking of you, is to cast votes for the following games you have on Xbox One. It's Multiple Choice, if you have them all. That's great. I just need to keep records of who has what, and what games would be best for the future. Especially events. If you're anticipating on getting one of these games. I highly suggest you do not check that box, until you actually have it. That's just a suggestion I highly recommend, however. Go as you wish. Let's see what you all got. If I missed a game, please let me know. However, the game requires to have Online Multiplayer, capable of allowing you to play with friends. Thanks, Fishy

  4. Hello, I have just spoke to the Xbox customer service team and they have directed me to go to you. I recently bought an Xbox One, I bought the Halo master Cheif Collection Edition. As you know, this game is installed Via the xbox store. I did know that this could only be downloaded and didnt come with a disk. However, I wasnt aware that the game itself would use 60gig if not more of my storage space on the hard drive. The size is not the issue but the install is, My broadband internet speed at home is extremely weak as I live in an area that is immune to Fibre optic therfore the best speed I can get is just over 1mbps. Installing a game of that size over my internet is just ridicoulous. Would it be possible to get a Disk sent to me so I can install it that way. I have all the information and details to prove I have bought this game encase you need some type of verification. It would be greatly appreciated if someone can get back to me ASAP. Regards Im new here, can anyone help me? Im new here, can anyone help me?
  5. The last month of the year is almost upon us and that means we'll get our very last free games of 2014 from the Games with Gold program. Lets have a look at the games that will see out 2014. For the Xbox One it is just the one game that is going for free next month and that is Worms Battlegrounds Worms Battlegrounds will be available throughout all of December so get it while you can. For the Xbox 360 we'll get our usual two free games and those games will be The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief and SSX. images from majornelson.com The Raven will available first to download and that will be from December 1st through December 15th. SSX will take over and it will be free from December 16th through December 31st. So that's it for this year, those are the last free games from Games with Gold for 2014 what games do you think will be first in 2015? Leave your guesses below. Source: majornelson.com
  6. When I first read this I kind of laughed, but then thought it is better than nothing. Having to buy a game you already own again just to play it on a the new XBOX One is, well, kind of a put off. I mean you want a game when it first hits the market, then realize you have to shell out another $60.00 for another copy plus the $500.00 for the new console. I guess my initial laugh was based on the thought, "Who is willing to pay $120.00 for a game when they can wait a month or two and get it for $60.00?" The DLC seems hardly any kind of an inducement to pay out that kind of money. I am not the one who could legitimately speak to the new console being backwards compatible for 360 games, but can figure the need for a dual purpose disk reader and supporting hardware/software may not be an easy task or financially viable. Hopefully someone who knows that field better than I can explain that matter. Here is the original story that caught my attention, plus the link to XBOX Wire for the statement in their own words. Microsoft's Xbox 360-One Season Pass Guarantee Most carry across. But there's a catch... By Robert Purchese Thursday, 15 August 2013 story found @ eurogamer.net "Good news*! Companies signing up to Microsoft's Season Pass Guarantee - and the big names apparently are - will give you automatic access to Season Passes for Xbox One games that you've bought on Xbox 360. *There's just one catch: you have to buy the game again on Xbox One. Activision, EA and Ubisoft were mentioned as participating, and Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4 were name-dropped. It's better than nothing." story found @ eurogamer.net
  7. According to Polygon's insider sources, Gears of War 1 is being remastered on the Xbox One, but not by Black Tusk. While we will inevitably start seeing more and more fresh content as the years go on, the current generation of consoles has had a large amount of remasters, most of them being very good, some, not so much. Polygon.com revealed that Gears of War 1 is soon to join the Xbox One's roster. They stated that it will be a full remaster with new cutscenes designed by Plastic Wax animation studios, and apparently, Polygon got a glimpse of these. A test build is rumored to go live at 9PM EST tonight, so we may see it soon enough. Sources still cannot confirm whether this will come as a bundle or as a standalone title, or if it's even releasing on-disk. What we can confirm, however, is that Brink developer Splash Damage studios will be creating the remaster with help from Black Tusk. Releasing a remaster would make sense considering next November is the 10 year anniversary of Gears of War 1. View attachment: 1223380202844603683.jpg I'm personally very excited to see the new and improved version of one of my favorite video games of all time. I loved the dark tone and inventive settings Gears of War 1 brought us, with a great story to boot. I'd rather see a fully fledged remake of Gears of War 1 though than a collection of all 3 with a simply 1080p 60fps makeover. What are your thoughts? Comment below, I'm eager to see.
  8. Mountain Dew and Doritos game fuel has launched an Xbox one promotional version. Mike Fahey from kotaku got hist sands on the snacks. "A new flavor of Mountain Dew Game Fuel, a shiny bag of Doritos and a card explaining what these things have to do with the Xbox One arrived on my doorstep bright and early this morning, so I made a video and drank some soda. For you. As mentioned in the vid, there's a party at PAX this weekend, where visitors can eats and drink this stuff until they get sick. It runs from 9PM to midnight, so I've no idea what they'll do with the other two hours and forty-five minutes. Maybe roll around in some hand sanitizer. Snacktaku is Kotaku's take on the wild and wonderful world of eating things, but not eating meals. Eating meals is for those with too much time on their hands. Past critiques can be found at the snackatu review archive." Video available here http://kotaku.com/is-mountain-dew-any-good-because-they-just-started-sel-1226726186
  9. Microsoft has released PC drivers for the Xbox One controller today, the announcement came from Xbox Live's Major Nelson. Gamers can now use their Xbox One controller to play games and use apps on their PC by downloading the required drivers(available on Major Nelson's site). Major Nelson also stated that they are planning to release the drivers in a Windows update in the near future but gamers can get early access to it today. A micro USB cable will be required as it does not support a wireless connection at the moment. Games that currently support the Xbox 360 controller will be compatible with the Xbox One controller. Now on to the conspiracy. In the announcement of the Xbox One controller PC drivers on Major Nelson's site there is a picture that shows the Xbox One controller that is connected to a Surface Pro to demonstrate the new functionality of the feature and it has the Halo 2's main title screen on it. See below. Now this could be solely for demonstration purposes to show of the new feature but with the cavalcade of rumors and "hints" over the past number of months many might take this as another nudge towards Halo 2 anniversary being in the works. So Is it? It does seem suspicious that they are using Halo 2 in that image and not an image of one of their recent products such as Halo: Spartan Assault considering it is the latest Halo game out right now and the fact that it is available to play on PC and Windows devices. Is this another nod towards a Halo 2 anniversary or is it just an innocent act? Anyway I'll leave it for you to decide, leave your thoughts on this news below. Source: majornelson.com
  10. Microsoft has opened the way for independent developers to use the ID@Xbox program to potentially become a registered XBOX One developer. This type of program is similar to Bugie's Aerospace project that launched back in 2011. The difference here is the ability to produce games directly for a console, given you have a proven record of shipping games for console, PC, phone or tablet use. Here is the story as it originally appeared in eurogamer.net. Microsoft unveils Xbox One indie developer self-publishing program By Wesley Yin-Poole Microsoft has unveiled its Xbox One indie developer self-publishing program. Microsoft said it met with more than 50 developers to learn what they wanted from a self-publishing program, and ID@Xbox, as it's known, is the result. Under the new rules, each registered developer will receive two development kits at no cost, and developers will have access to the full power of the console, cloud services, Kinect and the Xbox Live toolset, which includes Xbox SmartGlass, multiplayer, Achievements and Gamerscore, among other things. Applications to the ID@Xbox Program will be accepted from 20th August at www.xbox.com/id. If a developer is accepted, it will become a registered Xbox One developer. Microsoft said this status will be granted "with priority" to independent game developers "who have a proven track record of shipping games on console, PC, mobile or tablet", suggesting Microsoft has stopped short of creating a true open platform in the vein of the App Store. Crucially, there are no application fees, and as with Xbox 360, there are no fees for certification or title updates. Developers will also benefit from a global support team, headed up by ID@Xbox director Chris Charla. Charla's brief is to maintain personal communication with developers. Community managers will provide quick responses to submissions, and a number of events are planned to explain how the process will work. A chief concern among indie devs is how their games will be discovered by gamers who use the Xbox One. Microsoft said all games are located together on the Xbox One Store, and "rich search scenarios" using voice through Kinect will enable easy discoverability. Trending will showcase what friends and the community are playing, Recommendations will bring forward new games based on what you like to play, Spotlight showcases Editor Picks and, with the Xbox One's Game DVR and Upload feature, new games will be found as gamers capture and share videos. Developers will also be able to create special events out of Achievements and Challenges. The initial phase of the program will begin this autumn, but longer term Microsoft plans to enable any Xbox One console to be used as a development kit for self-publishing purposes. "This means that any hobbyist with a great game idea can make it come to life on Xbox One," Microsoft said. "We know Xbox fans will fall in love with the quality and diversity of games on our platform," Marc Whitten, Xbox Chief Product Officer, said. "We are committed to ID@Xbox and are fully invested in helping independent developers succeed on Xbox One." Microsoft EMEA boss Phil Harrison added: "I am really looking forward to the diversity and creativity of games that will come to Xbox One through the ID@Xbox program. We've worked with the community of developers to craft a platform that helps creators self-publish on Xbox One - irrespective of their size or location." One indie developer already convinced by Microsoft's new initiative is SpyParty creator Chris Hecker: "I'm really excited that Microsoft has listened to feedback from developers and created this program," he said. "As an independent developer, I want SpyParty to be available to as many players as possible, and it feels like Microsoft is interested in not only removing roadblocks for indies to get their games on Xbox One, but they're also genuinely interested in finding ways to bring new and innovative indie games to their platform to help games reach their potential as an art and entertainment form."
  11. Creative Assembly's new horror game, Alien: Isolation on Next Gen has had a confirmed release date. Aliens: Colonial Marines was met with huge fire on it's launch, and likely tarnished the Alien reputation to the point of no return, but Alien: Isolation hopes to fix that with what fans of the original know and love, alone in the dark, with an alien in the shadows around you. Fans will be able to experience that feeling on October 7th, 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and other next and old generation platforms, as well as PC. The release date was confirmed during a panel at this year's EGX Rezzed, a UK gaming event. The news came in first at GameSpot.com after the event was held. View attachment: Alien-Isolation-screen.jpg The game is being developed by Creative Assembly, the team behind Total War: Rome 2, which does have some fans scared. It is being published by Sega, who owns the license now, as the also published Colonial Marines. With this information, do you have hope for CA's survival thriller in space, or do you think it will be just another Amnesia clone with nothing new to the table? Comment below and let me know!
  12. Microsoft's Xbox chief Marc Whitten posted on xbox.com that a digital sharing system will be coming to Xbox One called "Home Gold". Not long after E3 Microsoft reversed a lot of their policies after a high amount of negative feed back from their fan base one of the features they removed was family sharing, a feature that allowed an Xbox One user to access games from their friends library if they chose to share it with them. Well Microsoft seems to be bringing this feature or a similar feature to the Xbox One which will allow users to access a friends game library from their account. Slashgear article. Home Gold was hinted at earlier this year at E3, and now we have the full details. Although called Home Gold, the feature isn’t necessarily limited to one’s physical home, but instead is applicable to those who are using the Xbox One with the Live Gold subscriber. At the subscriber’s home, the Xbox One console can be setup to enable Live Gold features to other residents regardless of whether the subscriber is logged in to his or her account. Elsewhere, the subscriber can log into their account on a different console (such as at a friend’s house) and extend those same Live Gold features to the other users. Benefits of this include multi-player gaming and access to the entertainment apps. For the gamer’s primary (home) Xbox One, Home Gold is extended to an unlimited number of gamers. Elsewhere, those using the console will have access to the Gold features while the subscriber is logged in. Home Gold aside, Microsoft also detailed the sharing of digital games, which is available amongst the users in one’s home. A single library can harbor games purchased by multiple users, and those users can then log in and play one of those games, even if the original buyer isn’t logged into his or her account. Buying a game on a different Xbox One while signed in will result in the game being made available on the gamer’s own console, and a gamer’s digital downloads can be played on a friend’s console by signing in. The statement also specifies that most of the digital games don’t require the gamer to be connected to the Internet, but that the “experience” is better if one is. IGN video.

  14. New images have appeared of Halo 3: ODST's 1080p remake and the Relic HD remaster in Halo 2: Anniversary! Halo 3: ODST and Relic are fast on our heels, with a Spring 2015 release, and 343i has decided to tease our taste buds yet again after the Halo 5 tease with new images of both compensations. On HaloWaypoint.com, in a blog post, the wonderful Dan Ayoub released a few teaser images in which we see what is being working on. They confirmed that for Relic, community playtesters are working hard to iron out the kinks to make it akin to it's famed Halo 2 predecessor. The images show the true fine detail of Halo 3: ODST not apparent on Xbox 360, the new version is much brighter compared to the standard version. They show an action shot on Relic where a Blue Spartan with a Beam Rifle oversees a Warthog explosion, confirming that the Assault Rifle is on the map (as of yet). They also show a Forge World styled overview, which we see below. ODST as a fully retouched game would've been amazing, seeing real rain drip off your VISR and such, but this is great too! What's your thoughts on the new photos? Let me know down below! Thanks a ton!
  15. A brand new entry into the Deus Ex series, Mankind Divided, has been revealed over on NeoGaf! I must admit, Square Enix was seeming a bit dry as of late, but this news looks to have flipped that on it's head. Someone on NeoGaf.com revealed screenshots and a gameplay description of a new Deus Ex game called Mankind Divided. The game will center around Adam Jensen, the protagonist of the previous game Human Revolution. The plot details are light, but it is known that since Human Revolution, augmented and ordinary people have been separated into social castes, and this leads to conflict. As in the past, putting in more effort will reward more payout as your actions affect the course of the game, so going stealth is likely the best option. The AI has been heavily improved to make open combat a bit trickier as the new system's tactics will give players a run for their money. A host of old abilities have been improved, including some new blade/crossbow tricks, and a shield that Adam can utilize. There will be no transfer from your previous game, so as far as story goes, most decisions likely won't matter. The game will release on an unknown date as of yet for Xbox One, PS4, and the PC, no last generation launch due to the game's prowess. View attachment: xaFXddA.jpg I'm a huge Deus Ex fan, so I'm really excited to see where Mankind Divided goes! What do you guys think of this info, are you a fan too? Let me know down below! Thanks for reading.
  16. On HaloWaypoint, Josh Holmes posted a list of changes to Halo 5 based on the feedback they received during it's run. 19. Exciting news today as 343i announced the release date of a new add-on to the Master Chief Collection and a secondary beta! With the recent Halo 5 trailers, I don't think anyone expected we'd get more info about Halo on Xbox One, however, we thought wrong. Over on HaloWaypoint.com, 343i released a statement showing off some new content as well as ramping up our Halo 5 hype once again. For starters, Halo Reach is being remade on the Xbox One in 1080p 60fps detail, with Campaign and Multiplayer being ported over, no Firefight or Forge, unfortunately. The game will run at the above settings and will release as a standalone disk that will download unto the MCC. It will be priced at $29.99 and include all the multiplayer DLC. Pre-ordering the game from select retailers will unlock a code for a secondary beta, releasing this September, to give us a final taste of Halo 5. It will not be restricted to the Arena Multiplayer and will run gamemodes like Free-For-All and Turf, a brand new version of BTB. Not much else is known about what content is coming, but 343i has teased more is on the way later. What's your opinion on this news guys? Let me know down below! Super excited myself! Thanks for reading, ciao! This post has been promoted to an article

24. The newest entry in the Gears of War franchise from Black Tusk may return to the series's darker and more morbid roots according to Phil Spencer and Black Tusk. Details on the newest title in the Gears of War franchise on Xbox One are incredibly scant, and now we have a small bit of detail to add to that nothingness! IGN.com reports that Phil Spencer is in talks with the new studio behind Gears of War to return the franchise to it's dark roots in the first three games as compared to Judgment. Phil said on the subject how he adored the franchise's, “epic scale, the settings that I was in, the massive destruction moments. It was more what I would call soulful and maybe even a little dark.” This could possibly mean that grittier and dirty moments like the point blank executions in Gears of War or the unique gameplay sections (like fighting the Corpser in Gears of War 1, or riding the large human vehicles in Gears of War 2) may return. On top of this, Phil expressed how he understood the complaints with Judgment, but focused on the future of the franchise for the next decade. He also confirmed the game would not be a reboot, making way for a sequel, prequel, or spin-off to Marcus Fenix's stories. So far though, no details like a release date, plot, game title, or characters have been revealed, and it's likely we won't see much too soon. Sorry I've been gone folks, I'm trying. Peace out!
