  1. In the wake of the newly announced Halo 5: Guardians, a collection of Halo: CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4 all remastered in HD for the Xbox One are rumored to come soon to market! Halo 5: Guardians already has Halo fans pumped and ready for E3 and beyond, and with so much to decipher about the un-turned stones rooted in this news, I've decided to take a different turn and talk about a recent Halo rumor. Engadget.com recently posted an article themselves confirming the collection, with backing that Microsoft themselves said they would release as much Halo as possible. They stated how 3 year titles would not be frequent, and with Sabre Interactive already working on an unannounced title, could it be possible that it's a large collection for Xbox One rather than just Halo 2 Anniversary, as viable as the idea is? The full description also states that, "Our sources say that the set will zero in on Halo's most famous soldier to refresh audience's memories ahead of Halo 5's release, so curiosities like Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach likely won't be a part of the package. " This could be an off-put for some who love ODST and Reach, as well as the ever-forgotten RTS Halo Wars. View attachment: HaloCEPoster.jpg Would you want a Collection of all four of the classics on Xbox One, or do you just want 343i to focus on their core titles? Debate, and be sure to like and comment, thanks for reading! View full article

  3. The Games With Gold program will start this June for the Xbox One announced by Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer. Yes Games With Gold launches on the Xbox One in June, which is a lot sooner than what a lot of people expected, the launch is to mark the one year anniversary when it first launched on the Xbox 360. The two games that will be available to download for free are "Max: The Curse of Brotherhood" and "Halo: Spartan Assault." Phil Spencer made the announcement earlier today on Xbox Wire. "The program will launch on Xbox One with “Max: The Curse of Brotherhood” and “Halo: Spartan Assault.” A single Gold membership will get you access to the free games for both Xbox One and Xbox 360." Max: The Curse of Brotherhood that released just last December is a 2-D side scrolling game developed by Press Play which is a sequel to "Max & The Magic Marker". Halo: Spartan Assault originally came out for Microsoft Windows and Windows Phone last year and then released on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. There will also be three titles to download for free in June for Xbox 360 users, the additional title on top of the two gold subscribers originally get is also to celebrate the one year anniversary. The three free games are "Dark Souls,” “Charlie Murder” and “Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.” So by looks of this announcement Xbox 360 users will get a total of five games for free in June as they can also get the two free games that are coming to the Xbox One. What do you think of Games With Gold coming to the Xbox One? Are you looking forward to see the future of the program on the new console? Source: Xbox Wire
  4. The next Call of Duty title, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, has been announced under Sledgehammer Games and Activision. Call of Duty: Ghosts, while having some good areas, was critically panned by most players as repetitive and stale, so naturally, the next game would need to out-do it's predecessor spectacularly. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the next step in the Call of Duty franchise, was revealed a few hours ago, but leaked information was shown quite some time back. Call of Duty's official channel made the official reveal, but Destructoid.com has the information beforehand. Destrucoid leaked the game surrounding a Private Military Corporation seceding from the US government. You play as a Soldier in this corporation, for once not under the US flag, under Kevin Spacey's character, who is the leader of this corporation. Exo-suits will incorporate as well, giving players a hefty library of abilities like cloaking, scaling, and jumping. The official trailer showcases Knight-esque Suits, possibly hinting at customization of our suits, and Spider shaped tanks in-game. The in-game graphics are, impressively, on an Xbox One, showcasing the system's power. View attachment: CoDAdvancedWarfare.png Are you going to purchase this next Call of Duty, or has Ghost left a sour taste in your mouth that may never heal? Let me know, and if you enjoyed this article be sure to Like and Comment, and leave feedback below, see you next time!

  6. The Xbox One will be available for purchase in China come September of this year! China had banned all foreign consoles in 2000 due to many parents believing that consoles would damage their youths' mental well being. The ban was lifted on January 8 of this year. Microsoft is acting quickly to get the Xbox One on the store shelves in China. Microsoft Corporate Vice President of Marketing stated, "The culture of games and entertainment is rapidly growing in China, with nearly half a billion people playing games – roughly a third of the country’s population and more than the entire population of North America. The gaming industry saw massive growth in the last year - generating more than $13 billion in 2013, an increase of 38% in the last year alone. Gamers in China have shown they love gaming – mostly on PC, mobile and online - and game developers in China have been delivering innovative games for years. Creators and gamers alike have eagerly awaited a new generation of entertainment experiences in China." He also made mention of the joint venture between Microsoft and BesTV, E-home entertainment, a program that will allow dev teams to get their games on the Xbox One in China. I'm sure this comes as great news to our fellow Chinese gamers who may have played Halo: CE on the PC but never had the opportunity to delve further into the franchise. SOURCE:XBOX WIRE

  9. Another price cut has been made on the Xbox One. On Amazon UK the Xbox One bundled with a digital copy of Titanfall is now down to £349, the same price as the PS4. The price has dropped a huge £50 in just over a month when Microsoft originally cut the cost from its original price of £429 down to £399 for the launch of Titanfall. But customers can now get their hands on an Xbox One with the game for £30 cheaper which now works out at £80 cheaper than what it was for the console alone at launch back in November. This may leave some Xbox One users a bit unhappy since they have paid more for a console at launch when it would then go down in price dramatically only within months. This is the very reason why it's better to wait rather than buying at launch if you don't want miss out on cheaper deals. So what do you think about the latest price cut, would you pick up the Xbox One for £349 if you haven't already? Source: Amazon View full article

  11. Xbox One users will be able to upload content from their Xbox One console directly to Youtube starting tomorrow. There will be an update coming to the Xbox One tomorrow that will allow users to upload recorded content from the Game DVR and edited content from Studio Upload directly to Youtube, Microsoft announced. "Now, use Game DVR to capture epic gaming moments, edit them in Upload Studio, and, with the simple click of a button inside the YouTube app (look for My Uploads**), share them instantly to your YouTube channel." No doubt this feature will get many Xbox fans who upload or would like to upload gaming content to Youtube excited for this new update. The update will also include media achievements, watch Youtube videos in Snap Mode and also allows you to add Youtube channels to the Xbox One guide for quick access. The Xbox team also confirmed a GoPro channel will be coming to the Xbox 360 tomorrow for Gold subscribers and sometime in the summer for the Xbox One for Gold subscribers as they originally announced it earlier this year. GoPro allows users to stream curated content to the channel for anyone to see and to celebrate the launch of the app Microsoft said they will be releasing two videos that will be temporarily exclusive to the Xbox community. "On Tuesday, Xbox Live Gold subscribers around the world* can immerse themselves in wild adventures with the GoPro app on Xbox 360. Now you’ll be able to stream and curate GoPro video content from the largest screen in the house and to kick off the launch, GoPro is offering two exclusive (read: AWESOME) videos that the Xbox community will get one week before they’re available elsewhere." So some pretty cool features are en route to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 tomorrow. What do you think about the new updates, does having the ability to upload your gaming content directly to your Youtube channel make you look forward to the new features? Source: news.xbox.com

  13. Creative Assembly's new horror game, Alien: Isolation on Next Gen has had a confirmed release date. Aliens: Colonial Marines was met with huge fire on it's launch, and likely tarnished the Alien reputation to the point of no return, but Alien: Isolation hopes to fix that with what fans of the original know and love, alone in the dark, with an alien in the shadows around you. Fans will be able to experience that feeling on October 7th, 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and other next and old generation platforms, as well as PC. The release date was confirmed during a panel at this year's EGX Rezzed, a UK gaming event. The news came in first at GameSpot.com after the event was held. View attachment: Alien-Isolation-screen.jpg The game is being developed by Creative Assembly, the team behind Total War: Rome 2, which does have some fans scared. It is being published by Sega, who owns the license now, as the also published Colonial Marines. With this information, do you have hope for CA's survival thriller in space, or do you think it will be just another Amnesia clone with nothing new to the table? Comment below and let me know! 15. I think 343 should Recreate Halo: Reach for the new generation console. Halo is indeed the mascot for xbox. As a halo fan and owning the one, it would drag more players from 360 to the one. Halo: Reach has created a fan base addiction to many players. Most of my friends and many IK, refuse to leave 360 for the sake of Reach. I would enjoy Reach and other halo games like 3, ODST, 2, CE, and wars, in new generation graphics but same gameplay\design.
  16. This April update brings improvements to your Friends list, GameDVR quality, new audio settings and much more. Neogaf user, Banjo-Kazooie recently revealed the improvements set to launch with the new update coming to the Xbox One in April. The update (referred to in his post as 'Update 1404') includes a plethora of new improvements some of which will not be available in the initial 1404 update. The updates and improvements coming to with the update are as follows: Game and app saves and updates. A game save progress bar will show you the status of your game saves. You will also be able to easily tell what games and apps are being updated or have been updated recently. Friends improvements. Notifications will be added to see when favorites and friends sign in to Xbox Live. This actually was one of the most frequently requested features from the first preview wave and we made it a priority to include it in the April update. Also, friends who are in multiplayer will be identified in the friends list. We’ll also add the ability to view friends’ most popular apps. Blu-ray 50 Hz video output support for content recorded at 50 Hz will resolve video playback issues some Xbox Live members in Europe are experiencing. Kinect voice and motion improvements will continue to fine tune the quality and reliability of Xbox One commands. Improved GameDVR video quality through compression algorithm improvements. Updates to Xbox One device management to address issues controlling TVs, set top boxes, and receivers that our customers have reported. New audio settings to tune how much volume is lowered when Kinect is used in communications. Again, this update will be coming in April, so stay tuned for more updates. SOURCE:NEOGAF

  18. One of Forza's artists has just revealed concept art that looks to be for the next Forza title, Forza: Deep South. Forza Motorsport 5 was met with critical success as somewhat of an early system seller for the Xbox One, with Dead Rising, as it received critical praise as one of the most beautiful games of 2013 and won Best Driving Game at the VGX. Naturally, driving fans and Forza fans are excited for what is in store for the game's future, which may be set in the Louisiana Bayou, a strange advancement from Forza 5's industrial city areas. The artist who leaked the photos hinting at the next game works directly with Dhurva Interactive, whom if you remember designed quite a bit of art for Turn 10 in Forza 4 and Forza Horizon. His reveal came directly from his cghub.com account where he leaked two photos reminiscent of the bays and bayous of the Deep South, possibly hinting at a new spin-off series like Horizon, or a Horizon sequel like was leaked much earlier this year. View attachment: Forza-Deep-South.jpg To add fuel to the fire of a Horizon 2, team members at Playground Studios, who developed the original Horizon, claim to be working on an Xbox One title. One artist by the name of Simon Gibson, said that, "Responsible for overseeing the internal and external (outsource) production of all vehicles for for the project." Leading all of these links to point to a Forza Horizon 2 set in the Deep South Bays and Lakes, which could turn out well on the Xbox One's new capabilities for lighting effects. View attachment: Forza-Deep-South-2-610x271.jpg An interesting design choice and change, but for those who enjoyed the open roads of Colorado and the banks and turns of Prague in Horizon and Motorsport 5, this might be one Forza to look at deeper before deciding on a purchase.

  20. A recent slue of rumors and debates argued whether Titanfall would run at 1080p or not, today we have learned that Titanfall will be running at native 792p at Launch. Titanfall's grand launch on Xbox One and PC is fast approaching with the midnight release already happening in some places, so naturally, fans of the game wondered what the resolution would be, seeing as it is so late in the pre-release window. Today, it's been officially confirmed by lead engineer Richard Baker that Titanfall runs just short of 800p. Richard said that, "There was an issue with decals taking a lot more time than they should which we fixed for launch, The worst-case scenarios are better, I think. The average is probably about the same as the beta." Reports had already surfaced on sites like mp1st.com that the game would run at this level, but nearly no one could believe the rumor to be true, as they believed this would be the first hit exclusive to run at a full 1080p. View attachment: titanfall0617-610b.jpg This however, does not mean that this couldn't be rectified in a patch in the near future. In fact, it's likely that the game will be patched. Baker went on to say, "For day one it's not going to change. We're still looking at it for post-day one. We're likely to increase resolution after we ship." This could mean that a 1080p Titanfall will exist somewhat in the near future after a couple of patches. This is sad information for those who were expecting much higher resolutions from the game, but has this swayed your opinion on purchasing Titanfall for Xbox One?
