  1. Short Version: Skip to the bold red at the bottom. Long Version: Skip to the "Hey guys! I haven't posted a… Yada yada yada." Hey guys! I haven't posted a topic in the longest time… So it's kind of convenient that I'm having a problem right now. Ironic, I know. Anywho, here's the deal. I got this new Xbox One, right? The new CoD: Advanced Warfare bundle, ya? It looked so beautiful and I literally shed a few tears when I opened that package and saw it so neatly wrapped up with all that Xbox equipment. It was such a beautiful sight… Anyways, I get over my initial awe and open that bad boy completely up and set it on that spot next to my TV where my old Halo 4 Xbox sat, and I discover a few things. Well, only one thing, actually. I feel kind of stupid for not thinking of it before, but I was too excited! So apparently the Xbox One is too fancy for regular TV and it has to be connected to a "High Definition" TV, like it's too cool or something. Whatever. Anyway, I realized that my TV isn't HD, but I really don't want to get rid of it because it's a nice TV, great size, and it was FREE! BUT! But, but, but! I saw that my Direct TV cable box has an HDMI port on it, so could I connect my Xbox One to that instead of directly to the TV? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm not that tech savvy... I know this is kind of wordy for a simple question, but what can I say... RED BOLD TEXT HERE THAT SAYS NOTHING IMPORTANT: Does my Xbox One have to plugged directly into an HDMI port on the Television, or can I use my cable box? Or does it need to be plugged in at all?

  6. Finally, the dimming promise of heists in Grand Theft Auto V: Online seems to be coming to fruition as Rockstar has confirmed the feature will be added in the first major update for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. You may hear rumor of the fabled legend of heists in Grand Theft Auto Online, how people ranted in droves when the feature was never implementing, and how it soon became rumor and speculation. Well, seems the legend of the implementation of this heist is coming to life as GameInformer.com reports. They confirmed, as Rockstar did, the game would implement heists when the first major update on current gen appears. When and what else is in this update though, Rockstar decided to remain ambiguous on, stating the usual slogan of, 'we'll have more to reveal on that soon' sadly. This update will be available on all consoles (and eventually PC) so if you still play on PS3/Xbox 360 don't fret. As for those of you who are upgrading, you're making a very valuable choice with the added additions of 32 player Online, new wildlife and environment details, upgraded visuals, and of course, first person gameplay. The game launches next week on Tuesday, November 18th for Xbox One and PS4 for those of you interested in picking it up on those platforms. For you PC gamers, you'll have to wait until January 2015 for that version of the game, or of course, buy a console. View attachment: GTA-Online.jpg What's your take on heists being released so late despite being promised over a year ago? Let me know down below gamers and gamettes! See you all next time heist news comes in. View full article

  10. On the Xbox One's first day in China, September 29th, the system reportedly sold a whopping 100,000 consoles! The Xbox One, despite it's rough start in 2013, seems to be picking itself up off the ground and running boldly. According to GameInformer.com, the console has apparently sold 100,000 units in China on it's first day. We unfortunately can't put these numbers in comparison with the Xbox 360 or even the PlayStation 4 or 3 as this is the first console to release in China after a twelve year ban. PlayStation plans to launch the PS4 in China in December, so we can come back then and compare day one sales. So far though, the Xbox One is the leading (and only) console in China. Despite this, the PS4 is still kicking ahead as far as we known in total sales. Even though we now have day one numbers in China alone, current sales numbers have not been released, though before the holiday begins I'm sure Microsoft will update us on sales numbers, as the last we heard in total sales was 5 million shipped. View attachment: xbox-one-white.jpg Does the news of the Xbox One's success pleasantly surprise you? Or did you expect the console to make a leap soon? Let me know below! Thank you very much for reading! View full article

  12. The newest entry in the Gears of War franchise from Black Tusk may return to the series's darker and more morbid roots according to Phil Spencer and Black Tusk. Details on the newest title in the Gears of War franchise on Xbox One are incredibly scant, and now we have a small bit of detail to add to that nothingness! IGN.com reports that Phil Spencer is in talks with the new studio behind Gears of War to return the franchise to it's dark roots in the first three games as compared to Judgment. Phil said on the subject how he adored the franchise's, “epic scale, the settings that I was in, the massive destruction moments. It was more what I would call soulful and maybe even a little dark.” This could possibly mean that grittier and dirty moments like the point blank executions in Gears of War or the unique gameplay sections (like fighting the Corpser in Gears of War 1, or riding the large human vehicles in Gears of War 2) may return. On top of this, Phil expressed how he understood the complaints with Judgment, but focused on the future of the franchise for the next decade. He also confirmed the game would not be a reboot, making way for a sequel, prequel, or spin-off to Marcus Fenix's stories. So far though, no details like a release date, plot, game title, or characters have been revealed, and it's likely we won't see much too soon. View attachment: gowlogoyellow.png Do you have faith in Black Tusk returning the series to it's origins in darker and more involving storytelling? Let me know below! Sorry I've been gone folks, I'm trying. Peace out! View full article

  14. Halo: The Master Chief Collection delay has been lifted for the vast majority of the locations that were hit with it, 343 has now revealed, as it will almost be getting a same day world wide release. Originally Europe was suppose to see a three day delay for the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, meaning it would to be coming out on November 14th instead of the 11th. But after a new announcement about the collection going gold 343 Industries have now said that the game will now release on the original intended date, November 11th. Yes the delay (as short as it was) has now been lifted for the vast majority of the locations that saw the delay in the first place. However, France will still be seeing the delayed November 14th release date whereas Belgium will only see a one day delay and it will release on November 12th. Japan will be the only one to have the November 13th release date as the other parts of Asia where the game will release will have the November 11th release. Here's 343's announcement on this. "One of the questions we get asked most is about worldwide release plans. The reality of worldwide sales and retail processes always makes simultaneous launches challenging. Some fans expressed disappointment in our original planned release date of November 11 in North America and November 14 in several other territories around the world. We heard you loud and clear, and I am happy to announce that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be released on November 11 for the majority of our fans around world!" "There are still a few countries that will see a slight delay due to public holidays. In Europe, Belgium will release on November 12 and France will release on November 14 as part of their typical Friday release schedule. Our fans in Japan will see a release of November 13. Given the social aspects of the experience, we were really happy to get it as close to a simultaneous worldwide release as possible so that we can all celebrate on November 11 and start playing together." So there you have it, the delay has been lifted and most of the global markets will see a November 11th release. Tell us your thoughts on this news, let us know if you will be joining the majority of the world when The Master Chief Collection releases on November 11th or the few that still has the short delay. 16. Microsoft and Ubisoft have teamed up to create an awesome Xbox One bundle releasing this fall! So if you've been looking for a great deal on an Xbox One and want two awesome games inside, I've got the perfect new bundle for all your needs. IGN.com reported on the new Assassin's Creed bundle for Xbox One, which will include two hit AC games. Assassin's Creed Unity and (strangely enough) Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be included in the package. Just for your information, both games will be downloadable codes rather than physical copies. Alongside the two games is your typical Xbox One with your usual controller and headset package. There will be two versions of this bundle, one for $400 without the kinect sensor, and for $500 with the sensor and Dance Central Spotlight included. The bundle will release on November 2nd, 2014 but Unity won't be playable until it's street date release on the 11th. View attachment: Xbox-One-AC-Unity-bundle.jpg Are you picking up this bundle when it releases and is it a good deal in your eyes? Let me know down below! Cheers! View full article

  18. Head of Xbox and Microsoft Studios, Phil Spencer, announced that the Xbox One UI will be getting customizable themes such as background screenshots and pictures. Phil Spencer sat down with TiC Podcast to discuss all things Xbox, he announced that the Xbox team are working on new ways for users to customize their Xbox One's dashboard. Such things will include the ability to take pictures and in-game screenshots to set as the background for the dashboard. “I was told themes and background pics are something that we are working on and screenshots, you know people beat me up on screenshots,” Spencer stated. These features are still currently in development so there isn't a confirmed date when they will be released, all that can be said at this time is they will come with a future monthly update. He went on to say "I think both themes, backgrounds and screenshots are things I know people want so we are going to deliver on them. But we can’t give a when yet.” The Xbox UI will be more customizable than ever when these updates roll out in the future, and no doubt having the ability to create personalized images and in-game screenshots will pique the interest of many Xbox users. Be sure to check out the full podcast What do you think of these new features? Are you happy to hear in-game screenshots and images can be used to customize your own dashboards? 20. Hello everyone, I'm LEGENDARY ENGRAM, and welcome to the Weekly News Wrap-Up. I just want to let everyone know next week I'm taking an extremely important set of tests that will help determine what High School I end up in, and another advanced test a few weeks later, so do wish me luck! Anyway, let's get down to our spooky set of articles. This is gonna be a bit weird as two articles are on the same game, but keep reading and you'll understand. View attachment: WNW 101114.JPG Sunset Overdrive Gets Exclusive Content for Day One, Season Pass, and Pre-Orders! Sunset Overdrive looks to be Insomniac Games' next big hit, with explosive action, hilarious humour, and crisp visuals. GameInformer.com reports if you pre-order, get the day one edition, or get the season pass you'll be one of the elite entitled to more goodies in the game at launch. One such example is pre-ordering on Xbox Live, which will net you Acordes de la Meurte, a guitar with melting candles littered on it, and the Hangover, a prickly spiked dumb-bell bat. Pre-ordering will entitle you to two weapons and a costume of the game's mascot. There are others exclusive to certain retailers, but the Season Pass also has a few interesting additions. Purchasing will grant you access to six outfits, two weapon modifiers, and two traps. View attachment: 2555793-sunset-overdrive-e3-propain-launcher.jpg Are you angered these bonuses aren't in the game even though they're already made? Let me know below! Dragon Age: Inquisition PC Specs Revealed Dragon Age: Origins held some promise, which was quickly squashed away by it's successor, Dragon Age II, and will hopefully be somewhat restored in the third, Dragon Age: Inquisition. IGN.com uploaded the game's PC specs if you're looking to buy the game on it's best looking and running platform. You'll need a minimum of Windows 7 or 8.1, and a recommended at the same level. There is an 8 GB of system memory recommended label, but 4GB is fine if you want a minimal experience. 512 MB Graphical Memory is the minimum for the game, but in a massive jump, 3 GB memory is recommended. Hard Drive space is the same for both, 26 GB. Graphics and CPU of course range, but it's recommended you have a more up to date one like an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660. View attachment: 2623524-da3.jpg Are you purchasing the game on PC or console, if at all? Debate below! Dragon Age: Inquisition 900p on Xbox One, 1080p on PS4 Another interesting piece of news on Inquisition, the game's developers revealed that the game will run lower on the Xbox One than on the PS4. GameSpot.com has the story, where they report that the PS4 version will run at a full 1080p, and the Xbox One version at only 900p. Bioware had this to say, "We maximized the current potential of each platform." basically meaning currently that's all they can push out of both systems. Inquisition isn't the only game to be skimped on the Xbox One, games like Assassin's Creed Unity and Sunset Overdrive have been graphically cut because of a lack of good hardware. View attachment: bloghome_ps4_hires.jpg Is only 900p fine with you, or do you expect more from next gen? Discuss below! Welp, that's all for this week, I'm Legendary Engram, signing out! My copy came through the door and I thought I'd make a video showing you what comes with it if you pre-order it. It comes with an Art Book full of amazing Concept Art. You have character designs, some nice illustrations of Hong Kong, you see Wei Shen in action, and some of the in-game scenes. I think it looks amazing. There's not much for a bonus overall, but I think it looks great and is something I'm happy with. The game itself is remastered and contains all DLC free of charge. It is released on the 14th of October in North America. If you played the original Sleeping Dogs and really liked it, you should definitely purchase this. If you've never played it before and you've got an Xbox One, PS4, or PC to game on, then you should give it a try. Are you going to get Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition? What do you think about it?

Please do enjoy the video, and let's hope P34nut or whoever it was doesn't decide to make a meme of my face like he did with Church. Bleep Bloop, RSR gave me permission to post this before ye go and rage below.
