  1. Source-Slash Gear It seems people with silver membership get to watch hulu plus free but gotta have a paying netflix account if they wanna use Netflix. Microsoft is unlocking two of the most popular video-streaming services on Xbox LIve this weekend. Xbox Live Silver members will be able to access Netflix and Hulu PLus without having to pay for a Xbox Live Gold membership. While you’ll still need a Netflix subscription to access movies and TV shows, Hulu is allowing access to Hulu Plus at no cost throughout the weekend. Netflix’s new original series House of Cards is debuting this weekend, and it seems Netflix wants as many users as it can get to watch the new show, even if it means unlocking access on Xbox Live. Plus, all episodes of the new show will be available for streaming, so clear all your weekend plans and make sure to tune in if you’re interested. Furthermore, Hulu Plus on Xbox Live will be completely free for anyone this weekend. Since it’s Super Bowl weekend specifically, Hulu is letting users access the Hulu AdZone in order to watch all the commercials from this year’s Super Bowl, as well as commercials from as far back as 2008 that aired during the big game. Again, both Netflix and Hulu Plus will be open to Xbox Live Silver members at no cost, but you’ll still need a separate Netflix subscription in order to access the app, while Hulu Plus will be completely free for anyone with an Xbox 360 and an internet connection. Happy watching! View full article
  2. Source-Neowin It seems The Xbox has been having problems this evening but it will be fixed It looks like Microsoft is having some issues with its Xbox Live service this evening. People have reported they are unable to sign onto the online gaming service and Microsoft's Xbox Live support webpage confirms the issues. The status page claims the problems are affecting Xbox 360 owners, along with Windows 8, Windows Phone, Games for Windows Live and even the Zune PC client. Microsofts message states: "It looks like you’ve been disconnected from Xbox LIVE and worse, you can’t sign back in! We will get this fixed as quickly as possible. Thanks for being patient while we sort this out. Please check back in half an hour for more information." Hopefully this will be solved quickly.

  6. Source-The Inquisitr ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "Many reports have been saying Microsoft and Skype agreed to use all chat sessions as Skype " But is this really worth it, what do you think? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ After Microsoft purchased Skype in 2011 to the tune of $8.5 billion, it abandoned MSN Messenger in favor of integrating Skype with many of its platforms, and Microsoft reportedly plans to do the same thing with the next Xbox. The report comes from CVG, who cite an alleged source from inside Microsoft. According to the report, Microsoft intends to make Skype the main form of communication for the company’s next-generation Xbox, which is expected to be announced in the next several months. The source tells CVG: “You might jump to the conclusion that we’ll see asynchronous voice and video messages in next-gen Xbox Live”. This is only a rumor, but it’s the most believable one so far. Microsoft’s plan to integrate Skype into its product can already be seen in other areas, and it only makes sense that they would do the same for the next Xbox, especially considering Microsoft has already hinted at it. Microsoft recently posted a job listing for its UK-based Skype offices that calls for a user interface designer, and the company’s next console is specifically named. The listing reads: “The team you’ll join is responsible for Skype in the living room (broadly the home), across various devices but with a focus on the large screen and the next generation of Xbox.” Fortunately, it appears that it won’t be too much longer before all of the speculation can finally be put to rest; industry chatter suggests that Microsoft will announce the next Xbox either at E3 this year or possibly earlier. 7. Source-Xbox 360 The Magazine Obvisouly if you ever played a game of Slender, it is very creepy, but a game is coming to Xbox LIve In The Indie Game Section Called White Noise. With recent PC success stories like Amnesia and Slender: The Eight Pages taking up slack from Silent Hill and Resident Evil, survival horror is experiencing something of an indie-powered renaissance. Riding the waves of that revival is White Noise: A Tale of Horror, a cheap console clone of Slender that's among the scarier cash-ins we've encountered. Set in the countryside of Northern France, White Noise provides you with exactly two tools - a flashlight and the ability to run, something you'll be doing a lot if you want to survive. Having travelled to the area to write an article for a supernatural magazine, your partner has gone missing, and it's up to you to discover their fate by recovering audio logs that are scattered around the countryside. There's no map, so the only way to pin down your location as you explore is by listening for ambient cues. The tapes themselves can't actually be listened to, however, which feels like a missed opportunity. They may as well have been replaced with pineapples, for all the contribution they make. It's a shame, because some suitably creepy audio diaries could have really elevated the atmosphere to terrifying new heights. It's not until the first recording has been located that things start to go awry. An evil creature (looking somewhat like the bloodied lovechild of Nemesis from Resident Evil and Tali from Mass Effect) begins to track your movements. It's a familiar horror gambit, but a terrifying one nonetheless. The dread of being relentlessly pursued by this creature is amplified by the scenery, which is only ever partially revealed by the beam of your flashlight. Gothic statues and humanoid trees litter the landscape, and the fact that you start in a different place each time creates an overwhelming sense of disorientation. The game advises you to play with the lights off and the volume turned up, but we were too cowardly to function in such conditions. The imitation of Slender is almost overbearing in places, right down to the number of clues that need to be gathered (eight), and the static effect on the edges of the screen when the monster gets a little too close. The developers are open about their borrowing, however, and the absence of direct competition on Live Arcade makes White Noise hard to pass up - for fans of horror at least.

  9. Starting a clan/ gaming community has always been a little goal of mine, so I finally decided to do it. We Don't discriminate against skill or anything else. We have many leadership positions open. So if you are the leader type you have potential to move through the ranks fairly quickly at first. I'm gonna put some details about us below if you feel as though it's something you might wanna join or you want to discuss it further with me, hit me up on Xbox Live my gamertag is "DGS Camaro SV". Community Name: Deadly Gaming Syndicate (DGS for short) Overall goal: The goal is pretty simple and similar to that of most other communities. The goal is to give gamers a positive environment to game in, in which they can meet other gamers and hopefully develop friendships with them. Why a gamer would want to join this clan: -Well, for starters we are a very laid back community just like most of the communities out there. We do have rules but they are very general and easy to follow. We do also have a ranking structure which is based off the military but don't think this automatically makes us a strict community. -I'd also like to do many friendly clan battles among the communities and clans we can become allied with, and have a team/s for GameBattles, and other brackets. - I'd also like to do many community exclusive tournaments and competitions where you can win actual prizes (and no not just Microsoft Points). Website: You check out our forums at http://www.DGSLive.info/forums Or our website http://www.dgslive.info If you have any other questions about the community or you're interested in trying it out, feel free to message me on Xbox Live (Gamertag: DGS Camaro SV). You can also private message me on here, or ya know just reply to this topic . If you are reading this are you're already in a clan or community, DGS is looking for more clans and communities to become allied with! Contact me for further details.
  10. Hello, I am looking for some information on the Xbox Live network and Halo 4. I would like to understand how the Xbox Live network works and specifically Halo 4's 'network model'. I am ultimately trying to understand, from a networking perspective, how the matchmaking process works and the criteria for which it makes its decisions for host selection. I am more interested in the specifics of how as opposed to just a general overview. I would also like to know about the difference between say, a spartan ops online game and a war games online game - I believe the former uses a 'Synchronous network model' whilst the latter uses Asynchronous? I have read some published articles on Halo 3 but anything pointing to Halo 4 specifically would be good. I welcome all good sources. Thanks.
  11. Friendly Fire needs to go!! Sick of getting a good weapon and than ran over by a teammate so they can steal it! Or getting a vehicle and teammate throwing nades because someone beat them to it. Friendly fire has gotten a lil better but needs to be completely removed, to help Halo be a better game. To many lil kids and big tempers ruining the game. It's just plain ridiculous, if it stays the same I am done with the Halo Franchise.
  12. It appears Black OPS II currently holds the top of the charts for most played game on Xbox Live. Read below for more deatils. Source: Game Informer As expected, Halo 4's reign at the top spot on Xbox Live activity charts was short lived. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 took over when it released on November 13. The top 20 below is activity through November 19 per Major Nelson: Call of Duty: Black Ops II Halo 4 Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 EA Sports FIFA Soccer 13 Call of Duty: Black Ops Assassin’s Creed III NBA 2K13 Modern Warfare 2 Madden NFL 13 Battlefield 3 Borderlands 2 Skyrim GTA IV Halo: Reach Gears of War 3 FIFA 12 Forza Motorsport 4 Hitman: Absolution Forza Horizon
  13. Hey 343i, I just wanted to start a topic wherein we post the gamertags that haven't received the code as of Dec. 2nd (today). These people all report they have met the requirements. The waypoint forum has like 100 pages already, so I doubt you are getting to that anytime soon. GT: MadManBlazing

  15. Hi. I need some advice on which route to take to be able to play the future map packs because I don't want to waste money of course. I have two options....I am in the UK on an NTSC console and I have both an xbox live gamertag set up in Canada and one in the UK, however I play mainly on the Canadian one because I am moving back soon. Should I buy points for the UK account , download the maps, and then transfer to the Canadian account? Would that even work? Or vice versa can I just buy the maps on the Canadian account using a points card? Does anybody have experience with this? I would love to know which way works if any, thanks.
  16. hey everyone add me if your looking for team mates to play 4v4 and know what there doing DARKSIDE480!
  17. I'm looking for someone to play Halo CEA over Xbox Live. I know where most of the skulls and terminals are. My gamer tag is Wolfspartan360.
  18. As a constant YouTuber, I have noticed that their is a couple Halo 4 commercials before any gaming related video. I am yet to see a Halo 4 commercial on public television, an I am starting to wonder if Microsoft is paying their efforts. I am also worried about this low amount of advertisement, for you see, Halo 4 is going to be the biggest game of 2012. On another concern, none of my peer friends at school have said a single thing about the game, probably because most of my friends play Call of Duty: Black Ops and Borderlands 2. I was wondering about your thoughts on the commercials, are they bland, are they annoying, or whatever else you need to give out.
  19. Anyone else think it would be pretty cool if Halo 4 had custom campaigns instead of just custom multiplayers? Say you want to play campaign, but want to customize certain things. You ask what kind of things, well for example the difficulty. Already possible you say, not quite... I mean as in this.. 1/10 would be Easy, 11/21 normal and so on, but you could pick say....14 as the dificulty, and if there is skulls you could pick what covonent they effect and don't. I want a fun campaign that changes even after I beat it. Not the same old stuff. So after beating campaign on legendary I would love to be able to customize it further then that for more or less fun. Prefferably more. Or even to challenge my skills as a spartan further. I just think that would be pretty cool if this were in the game for customs. NOT REGULAR CAMPAIGN. Of course, whether it would go towards achievements would be a thing to think about. Heck they could even make achieves for beating it on say difficulty 32 out of whatever. SENSE IT IS ALREADY COMPLETE, IT COULD BE ONE AWESOME UPDATE!
  20. My personal opinion is that Halo should never leave XBOX and XBOX should never share Halo with any other console. I'd like to hear your opinion.
  21. Hey guys, I have previously quit a clan called KSI, because in the begining it was cool now its just terrible. So they made me change my name on Xbox Live from "LORDLIDELL" to "KSI LORDLIDELL". So its time for me to change it again. So this is why I made this post. You guys come up with ideas for a new gamertag. In a week I will choose the best one in my opinion. I will message you if you have won! -LORDLIDELL
  22. hey any one who is good at sniping swat and likes to play around at times plz contatact me to join my clan
