  3. Microsoft cutting prices on all of it's xbox 360 bundles for the holiday season. Read below for more details Source: Gameinformer.com All of Microsoft's Xbox 360 holiday bundles have received a $50 price cut, presumably because of the impending holiday season. It's unclear if this is a temporary price-cut, or a permanent one. Assuming that a new Microsoft console is on the horizon, I'd be surprised if the prices on these bundles went back up after the December. No Xbox 360 price cut this year, says Microsoft UK

  5. Microsoft will still remain using Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360 and real world currency for Windows 8. Read below for more details Source: CVG.com Speculation surrounding a possible shift to real-world currency kicked off this week when it was revealed that Microsoft's next operating system, Windows 8, will use real cash by default. In a statement to CVG, the company said that Microsoft Points "continue to be the currency for purchasing content for the Xbox 360 console". It added that Xbox Live customers will be able to purchase content on Windows 8 using stored Microsoft Points. It has been long rumoured that the Xbox firm will ultimately phase out Microsoft Points in the next generation of hardware and software. This post has been promoted to an article
  6. You can now migrate your Xbox Live account to another country. Read below for more details Source: Xbox360achievements.org Once upon a time, if you were moving country, you'd have to get rid of your existing Xbox Live account and start from scratch. But it looks like that might now be a thing of the past, as Microsoft has now opened up the ability to migrate your Xbox Live profile to another XBL region, albeit with a few caveats. These stipulations, or "consequences" are detailed below, and include the possible inability to re-download content and the cancellation of your Xbox Live Gold subscription. Here's the list of consequences listed by Microsoft, via WM Power User: Microsoft is now apparently accepting migration requests, although it is a manual process that can take up to six weeks. Still, it's better than losing all of those hard-earned cheevos, right? [Via VG247]

  12. The Xbox version of Minecraft will be getting a adventure update soon. Endermen, Silverfish and Mineshafts. 3 new screenshots to see what you are getting into. No date yet unfortunately. Read below for more details From: http://www.g4tv.com/ By: Adam Rosenberg Endermen and silverfish and mineshafts, oh my! The Adventure Update content is almost here for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, and 4J Studios has the proof in three new screens posted by Mojang that show off some of the new content fans can expect to run into. The image above features the game's terrifying Endermen, which are totally harmless until you look at one and it teleports death into your face. You'll find two more images after the jump. One shows off a silverfish, pesky little cave insects that pop out of the blocks they hide in once you destroy them. Silverfish are native in PC Minecraft to strongholds -- an underground castle of sorts that offers access to the endgame zone -- so it's odd to see this one roaming what appears to be a random cave. The other picture shows off an abandoned mineshaft, a great underground source for wood, minetracks, and -- most importantly -- TREASURE. One unusual thing I'm noticing: in the two images below, you can clearly see a tiny avatar in the upper left corner of both screens. The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft isn't a direct port of the PC game, and there's no similar feature on the PC side. I'm guessing the tiny avatar images are there to show players what their cool avatar skin looks like at all times? Anyone out ther care to hazard a guess? We recently chatted up 4J Studios' Paddy Burns on Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, both what's coming in the Adventure Update and what fans can look forward to down the road as it starts to veer away from the original PC version of the game.

  17. I am just wondering if anybody still plays Doom on the PC or Xbox 360. I still play it on the Xbox 360 because I played it on the PC and it was a very Fantastic and Interesting game to play, also it has Excellent and Awesome Sound and Graphic.
  18. If you have yet to see the behind the scenes footage of Halo 4 and its development WARNING: this article includes plenty of juicy Halo 4 screens. After watching the video, The current state of the game looks great; no more ridiculous bloom, smoother (clean) kills, visual updates (other than graphics) such as HUD elements including updated versions of the traditional Halo mechanics making the game much closer to its Halo 2 and 3 brethren. In the early stages of Halo 4, we are introduced to the things all Halo fans know and love including the return of the Battle rifle, and the powerful remodeled Spartan IVs (which seem to have lost some armor weight in contrast to their Reach counterpart). Alongside the new Spartan IVs, comes the Spartan we've all been waiting for in anticipation: the new and reinvented Master chief. In comparison to other Halo games, Master Chief's new armor appears to be a blend between his armor seen in Halo 2 and 3, returning to the armor color seen in Halo 2. Halo 4 is to resume Master Chiefs conquest against the covenant, and a new, yet to be revealed enemy. (Images above) Gameplay Elements: As you feast your eyes on the early version of the new HUD 1.1 sit down and look closely (in the screen above): One of the first things to note, is that sprint has made its return(although no armor ability indicator is visible, so its safe to assume the dreaded armor abilities are gone). The health system has returned to the Halo 2/Halo 3's system (as you are a Spartan IV). There are no health bars below shield indicator ( in other words: no more scavenging hopelessly for health packs as your shields will recharge). Among the many things present, the last important thing to note would be the scoreboard. From what we can see in the early version of the game, score increments have changed (resulting in various factors that affect points earned per kill) as well as in game emblems displayed alongside the team's score, and the gametype name below (bottom right in screen above).
  19. So real quick, I just want to say this. I routinely check Halo Waypoint every other day to see the bulletins/updates. Now they usually always start popping up around 1:30-2:00 for me (eastern time). But for some reason this today, they haven't. I mean come on, its almost 5:00. Is 343i maybe waiting to post a Major Update? Who nows, just a reason and a theory to help us wait and see if there is going to be any info..
  20. I was going to post this in the 'Gaming News' panel, but it wouldn't let me. So sorry if this is in the wrong place :/ Below I have listed what I have found about the new Xbox 360, and will continue to update it if I learn any more information: The first is from winrumors.com, was posted on Nov. 22nd, and has quots from Microsoft's Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter: Article Another was posted on Oct. 20th and is from Xbox.IGN.com: Article The last I've found is from Gamespot.com and was posted on November 9th with sources fromThe Windows Weekly Podcast: Article I don't know how I feel about having to buy another console, if it's worth it, and if it will be a good change or not, but hope it's a change for the better rather than a change that people don't want. Just thought I'd share my find with everyone. Thanks, @RANMAN10
