  1. It's a bit later in the day then when I'd usually write the wrap-up, sorry, had a buddy over through the night and got very little sleep so I slept during the day. Anyways, let's get on to the wrap-up! In the aftermath of all the gamescom announcements we have some exciting news so stick around! New content, timed exclusives, and more! View attachment: WNW 81614.JPG Tomb Raider 2 is a Timed Exclusive Says Phil Spencer The most controversial announcement from Gamescom was without a doubt the announcement of Tomb Raider's exclusivity on Xbox One, with many flipping out and taking to their blogs and YouTube Comments Section areas to rage at Microsoft and Square Enix, some even going as far as sending death threats to Lara's voice actress and Microsoft as a whole. Eurogamer.com reports that these angry people can ease up, as the game is only timed and will come to PS4 and PC eventually. In an interview with Eurogamer, Phil Spencer said, "I didn't buy the IP. I didn't buy the studio. It's not mine. Where this thing will go over time, just like Dead Rising or Ryse, we'll see what happens with the game. I don't own every iteration of Tomb Raider." He shared his sympathy with people on other platforms, understanding how they would feel alienated from a long-time franchise suddenly moving. He does confirm however that he doesn't own Tomb Raider as an IP, and once the deal is over he doesn't know where it could go. Note: For the love of god don't read the comments section to this article, you'll lose a metric ton of brain cells. View attachment: rise_of_the_tomb_raider_2015_game-wide.jpg What's your take on Tomb Raider being a timed exclusive to Xbox, should it be a full on exclusive or is sharing it with the rest of the community the right thing to do? Debate below! Destiny DLC Leaked in 2013, Just Realized Now Something that might surprise you was in 2013 when Diablo 3: The Reaper of Souls was announced, the name 'The Dark Below' was brought up as a possible name for the expansion or something related to Diablo, turns out it was for Destiny, as we now know. GameInformer.com reports the story, also saying DLC was also trademarked before a World of Warcraft DLC, linking it to World of Warcraft as well. Activision handled the situation well, not getting involved, as it would've likely tipped off the fact it was Destiny. Theories included the name of a new World of Warcraft game and possibly a new Blizzard IP. The Dark Below was officially announced when the Ghost Edition, Limited Edition, and Digital Guardian editions of the game were announced, and it was confirmed at Gamescom it would launch in late 2014. View attachment: wallpaper_destiny_15_1366x768_by_sinfulndelicious-d770ms3.jpg What do you think of the fact that something so wrapped in shadow and essential to Destiny was leaked so early in it's development? Please do discuss it below! Titanfall: IMC Rising DLC Announced We started this series off with the first Titanfall DLC, then continued recently with the second, and it seems we're now ending the Titanfall DLC trilogy with the final add-on announcement! Titanfall.com officially announced the DLC to the rest of the world, it first being revealed at Gamescom this year. The DLC contains what each DLC before it has, 3 maps, Backwater, Zone 18, and Sandtrap, details on each scant. It will run you $9.99 or $24.99 for the season pass to get all three for a value. A release date has not been announced yet, though I would estimate the DLC should launch sometime in October or late September at the earliest. This DLC pack and Frontier's Edge (the last one) seem to have an increased focus on the IMC rather than the Militia, as the only DLC pack to showcase the Militia on the cover was Expedition. This could be a hint at the direction of future titles, possibly IMC winning the war? View attachment: Titanfall-DLC3-Key-Art-Hor-wLogo.jpg Do you own the Season Pass and are you picking up this DLC? Let me know below! Thank you very much for reading! Thank you again everyone for reading the wrap-up, I do hope you enjoyed it. I hope to see you all next time on the next Weekly News Wrap-Up. We'll be right back after the break, take it away Jimmy! *Conan reference here for Yoshi*
  2. Hello everyone, I'm LEGENDARY ENGRAM, and welcome to the Weekly News Wrap-Up. I just want to let everyone know next week I'm taking an extremely important set of tests that will help determine what High School I end up in, and another advanced test a few weeks later, so do wish me luck! Anyway, let's get down to our spooky set of articles. This is gonna be a bit weird as two articles are on the same game, but keep reading and you'll understand. View attachment: WNW 101114.JPG Sunset Overdrive Gets Exclusive Content for Day One, Season Pass, and Pre-Orders! Sunset Overdrive looks to be Insomniac Games' next big hit, with explosive action, hilarious humour, and crisp visuals. GameInformer.com reports if you pre-order, get the day one edition, or get the season pass you'll be one of the elite entitled to more goodies in the game at launch. One such example is pre-ordering on Xbox Live, which will net you Acordes de la Meurte, a guitar with melting candles littered on it, and the Hangover, a prickly spiked dumb-bell bat. Pre-ordering will entitle you to two weapons and a costume of the game's mascot. There are others exclusive to certain retailers, but the Season Pass also has a few interesting additions. Purchasing will grant you access to six outfits, two weapon modifiers, and two traps. View attachment: 2555793-sunset-overdrive-e3-propain-launcher.jpg Are you angered these bonuses aren't in the game even though they're already made? Let me know below! Dragon Age: Inquisition PC Specs Revealed Dragon Age: Origins held some promise, which was quickly squashed away by it's successor, Dragon Age II, and will hopefully be somewhat restored in the third, Dragon Age: Inquisition. IGN.com uploaded the game's PC specs if you're looking to buy the game on it's best looking and running platform. You'll need a minimum of Windows 7 or 8.1, and a recommended at the same level. There is an 8 GB of system memory recommended label, but 4GB is fine if you want a minimal experience. 512 MB Graphical Memory is the minimum for the game, but in a massive jump, 3 GB memory is recommended. Hard Drive space is the same for both, 26 GB. Graphics and CPU of course range, but it's recommended you have a more up to date one like an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660. View attachment: 2623524-da3.jpg Are you purchasing the game on PC or console, if at all? Debate below! Dragon Age: Inquisition 900p on Xbox One, 1080p on PS4 Another interesting piece of news on Inquisition, the game's developers revealed that the game will run lower on the Xbox One than on the PS4. GameSpot.com has the story, where they report that the PS4 version will run at a full 1080p, and the Xbox One version at only 900p. Bioware had this to say, "We maximized the current potential of each platform." basically meaning currently that's all they can push out of both systems. Inquisition isn't the only game to be skimped on the Xbox One, games like Assassin's Creed Unity and Sunset Overdrive have been graphically cut because of a lack of good hardware. View attachment: bloghome_ps4_hires.jpg Is only 900p fine with you, or do you expect more from next gen? Discuss below! Welp, that's all for this week, I'm Legendary Engram, signing out! Merry Cryparchaween
  3. Hello everyone and welcome to... Wait... TWO WRAP-UPS IN ONE?! Yes, you read that right, because I missed posting last week's WNW, even though I finished it, I will be posting both here! Due to the sheer size however of six articles in one (five articles and one surprise actually), if you read this now you're only going to see 4 or 5. I'll edit more (or if there's five than the final one) later, I promise, but 6 articles isn't easy to do heh. Anyway, let's do this! View attachment: WNW 92714.JPG View attachment: WNW 100414.JPG Total War: Attila Announced! If you're one of the four people that wasn't disappointed in Creative Assembly enough to boycott their products, than I have great news! IGN.com reports that Total War Attila, the newest entry in the Total War franchise, has been announced! The game will feature the historical figure, Attila the Hun, and run for 60-70 years in-game. The main event in the game will be Attila's rise to power, when he is born and reaches adult-hood in 395 AD. You can play as either the Old Roman Empire or the New Roman Empire, but the most risky approach is being around the steppes in the Far East, where Attila will spawn. The only strategies are to attempt to divert Attila to enemies on the map or to defend yourself as best as possible. As well, new features have been added like the ability to raze cities when they are too damaged and a damage count from sieges to your defenses. Total War: Attila will release next year exclusively for the PC. View attachment: 10155216_709997619075441_8464220298784988540_n.png Are you going to purchase Total War: Attila? Let me know below! Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Nathan Drake Render Revealed Fans of the Uncharted series by Naughty Dog have been scraping at the facets of every little detail to find some new piece of info to quench their urge, prepare to be quenched in this case. GameInformer.com reported on one of Uncharted's game developers, by the name of Kurt Margenau, posting what looks like an in-game render of Drake's face. This was posted to celebrate Naughty Dog's 30th Anniversary this week, honoring all of their past titles, (except Crash Bandicoot). It is clear that this is an upgrade, with more detail going into Nathan's face alone than ever seen in an Uncharted game. Drake looks quite a bit older as well, with a rougher face than we last saw. It is unknown how far into the game this photo is, or if more work will be done to the render, so expect changes from what we see here when the game launches next year. View attachment: drakenextgen_610.jpg What do you think of these next generation visuals, could they be better? Debate below! Ryse: Son of Rome PC Version Removes Micro-transactions Are you excited for Ryse: Son of Rome coming to PC? Yeah, me neither, but anyway the game will be removing the Xbox One's addition of micro-transactions according to GameSpot.com. Crytek attempted to explain how the game wasn't just cashing in on a dying title, with the removal of microtransactions, new visual features, etc. Among other things, they gave the usual explainations of improved visual textures, all the downloadable content, and all that other juicy content that no one asked for and no one wants. One actually kind of interesting new addition though is support for the Xbox One controller for the game on PC. It will launch on October 10th, so go pre-order now! Or don't, doesn't affect me. View attachment: ryse_son_of_rome_game.jpg Are you picking up Ryse for PC? If so, tell me how it is! If not, why? Discuss below! Okay, now for round two! Police Called Into Gearbox Studios for Bomb Threat As if people weren't doing enough illegal or flat out crazy things in the gaming industry, we can now worry about car bombs near studios. This article was reported by GameInformer.com, today, Texas police were called in to the Gearbox Studios parking lot with reports of a car bomb. Randy Pitchford, who was in the building at the time, sent out a hail of tweets updating the situation as it went on. Police weren't able to find anything, however it is unclear if this was even a threat or possibly a 'Swatting' scenario, swatting being someone calling the police to an address despite nothing unusual going on, usually a form of trolling. Nothing is known besides the fact that everything is all clear at this time, though I'll update if I find more info. View attachment: Borderlands_the_PreSequel_Wallpaper1_-_preview.jpg What is your take on this information? Do you believe the amount of force sent to the location is justified? Do let me know! The other two articles will be added later, for now though, thanks for reading, ciao! View full article
  4. Hola amigos, you may know me by a host of different names, some call me Edward, some call me Vin, but one thing everyone knows me as is The Director (of the WNW)! For those of you that might not have known, this wasn't actually started by me, it was pioneered by Archangel Tyrael, so thank him for all of these reading sensations. Anyways, let's get down to it! We have Collector's Editions, Achievements, and more! View attachment: WNW 92014.JPG Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Achievements Revealed Are you one of the six people left on the earth that is excited for the next Call of Duty? If so I have good news, as a full list of achievements for the upcoming game Advanced Warfare have been revealed, thanks to IGN.com. While I can't list all of them here, a few notable ones are Carma, which you earn by killing an enemy with a car door, Maximum Overdrive, killing 50 enemies with your Overdrive ability, and Where Are You Going, by taking out an AST with an EMP grenade. And of course alongside these you have your typical campaign completion achievements for all 13 missions, and completing the entirety on the different difficulties. As well achievements for doing certain activities with your new EXO abilities are riddled through the list. Five achievements have yet to be revealed which look to be tied to an unannounced game mode, possibly an Extinction or Zombies mode. View attachment: cod_xbox360.png Are you amped up to earn all these new achievements/trophies in the game when it releases? Discuss below! Bloodborne Collector's Edition and Release Date Revealed When Bloodborne, From Software's (not from Software, the company's name is From Software, seriously) newest Action RPG from Dark Souls fame, was revealed at E3 2014, jaws were dropped and hype levels increased, so I'm sure you're just as eager as I am to find out a release date. GameSpot.com reports that at TGS this year the game was announced to have a confirmed release date of February 6, 2015 in North America and Europe. As well, a Collector's Edition was revealed, for a price of $79.99 retail price. It will include a Steelbook, the game itself, an Artbook, and the soundtrack. As well, a closed beta for the game was recently announced, with Sony Europe sending invitations. The game will release on the date above exclusively for PS4. View attachment: bloodborne-collectors-edition.jpg Are you picking up the Collector's Edition, the standard edition, or none at all? Let me know below! Destiny Breaks Twitch's Streaming Records, 20 Million Views Destiny can't seem to get out of our minds no matter what we do, it's like Activision has created another smash hit marketing machine that will last decades, and proof of this is some new record news from Twitch. GameSpot.com gave the news that Twitch announced for Destiny, how it had broken previous streaming records. Almost 240 Million minutes of streaming gameplay was recorded for the game, and videos garnered over 20 Million views. The game had made over $325 Million in revenue in the first five days alone! It seems to have outperformed nearly every game this year, even the huge hit Watch_Dogs. Twitch's marketing executive spoke on the matter, saying, "To date, Destiny is the biggest console game launch of the year on Twitch. Our passionate community of broadcasters attracted more than 5 million unique viewers in the first week." Bungie's community manager David Dague also commented, calling it nothing short of amazing. View attachment: Destiny_090914_16001.jpg What's your take on this news? Does Destiny deserve the attention it is receiving? Debate below! Thanks a lot for reading, a lot of this news was planned the night before, so I apologize if these articles don't seem insanely 'fresh'. Have a great day, and stay sexy people. Oh and by the way ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)‎ View full article
  5. Hey everyone, I apologize for missing a week, last week wasn't exactly the best for me personally with a lot of family issues going on and I couldn't get on it, however we're here today so fear not! I've found three great articles that hopefully you all love! Before we start I just want to say that I will be advertising upcoming events in these WNWs, so PM me if you have an event coming up and you'd like me to put it in here. Next week we have a co-hosted event by myself and the wondrous Self Destruct on Halo Wars! Be sure to sign up ASAP, as spots fill quick! Now, let's get started! View attachment: WNW 91314.JPG GTA V Gets Confirmed Release Date on PS4, Xbox One, and PC Grand Theft Auto V, the hype couldn't escape us last year and it likely won't this year either, as GTA V is on the horizon. Polygon.com states that Rockstar has placed a confirmed release date for the current generation versions and the PC versions, though PC users might be disappointed. The game will launch on November 18th on Xbox One and PS4, and launch January 27th on PC. As well as having a flux of better graphics and smoother frame rate, the game will also include new weapons, cars, wildlife, and activities, as well as improvements to damage and weather. If you're one of the four people that cares, there are 100 new songs on the radio station and new mixes. Online will see improvements like an enhanced player count for up to 30 players and the ability to transfer characters across consoles (I.E. PS3 > Xbox One, Xbox 360 > PS4, etc). As well, transferring will unlock bonus content if you completed the prologue on PS3 or Xbox 360. And finally if you pre-order you get an in-game bonus of half a million GTA dollars for single player use and half a million GTA dollars for online. View attachment: 180798506-1024x682.jpg Are you purchasing GTA V for Xbox One, PS4, PC, or none of the above? Let me know below! Blue Xbox 360, 500GB Call of Duty Bundle, and Kinect Bundle Announced Microsoft is doing a great job showing that they still care about their previous generation console, the Xbox 360, with this new set of bundles. Xbox.com announced the three new bundles available in store October 7th, a Blue Xbox 360 exclusive to Walmart, a Call of Duty Bundle, and a bundle with Kinect. The first bundle is the Call of Duty Bundle releasing this fall, and it includes a 500GB black Xbox 360, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Ghosts, one month of Xbox Live Gold, and the typical controller. This bundle will launch for $249 USD and will be available in the usual stores. The next bundle is a Kinect Bundle, including, again, the black Xbox 360, now 4GB, a black Kinect, Kinect Adventures and Forza Horizon, and a month of Gold and the controller. This bundle is the same as the last in terms of pricing, $249, and will be available everywhere. The final bundle is exclusive to Walmart and includes a blue Xbox 360, for $249. View attachment: 20140305_Yellowstone_A8.png Which bundle will you pick up if any? Debate these three beautiful bundles in the thread! PayDay 2 and Hotline Miami Team Up in New DLC If you haven't heard of or played PayDay 2 by now, you're lying, as the game has been all over the gaming community, especially the PC community. GameInformer.com has some news you might like if you're a PayDay fan and a Hotline Miami fan on PC. The two game's developers have teamed up for a neon themed PayDay 2 add-on exclusive to PC. A short teaser (visible on the link page) shows off some possible additions, new masks, maps, modes, weapons, etc. As of now though, news is slim, but we have a confirmed release date of September 30th, 2014. And of course the game will likely be outfitted in Hotline Miami's signature style of flashy neon. View attachment: payday-2-hotline-miami-themed-dlc-coming-this-month.jpg Are you annoyed that the DLC is exclusive to PC? Discuss below! Thank you guys a ton for reading, this was a slow week so not a lot of 'big' gaming news, I promise there'll be more soon! I'll see you all next time, take care! *Insert ending music here* View full article
  6. Hello everyone, Edward Kenway here, I know my name says Omega right now but I'll be changing back eventually, so fear not those who knew me as EK, you won't have to adjust for that long! Anyways, PAX gave off some super gaming news. In news I'm not covering here, Halo 2 Anniversary has some new sound design, some new Dead Island 2 stuff was released, and Saints Row IV is getting a remake and some DLC. Let's get down to the news! View attachment: WNW 83014.JPG State of Decay Getting Xbox One Port State of Decay was massively well received as a breath of fresh air for the dying Zombie theme at the time of it's launch on Xbox Live and PC, being (at the time) an innovative experience as players lived in an ever changing, unscripted world with the undead running rampant, however today we see games like DayZ, H1Z1, and others accomplish the same in larger numbers. Xbox.com has the story as it was announced that State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition will be coming to Xbox One in 2015. It will include your typical remastered contents, the game with up-scaled graphics (1080p) and frames-per-second, all the DLC, and entirely new content yet unannounced. It will launch on an unconfirmed date in 2015, I would guess sometime in Early Spring though. Undead Labs, the developers of the game and it's port, will be revealing more info on the game and it's unannounced new features later on. View attachment: state-of-decay-logo.jpg Are you going to purchase State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition (couldn't have picked a longer title) on Xbox One, or does this seem like another typical industry cash grab on a game that had only been recently released? Debate the facts below! Nintendo Announces New 3DS Design/"Next Gen" 3DS Selling tremendously well during it's two year run so far, the 3DS was a sleeper hit among many Nintendo business failures, like the Wii U. Polygon.com reports that Nintendo has announced two new and improved variants of the system, the regular new version and the XL version. The new system is labeled as, "The New 3DS" (Not kidding) will feature a better overall layout, improved CPU to allow games to run better on it, and an analog nub to act as a second thumbstick and new shoulder buttons. Other features include Amiibo integration, and sliding covers so that you can customize your 3DS with new skins. However, sad news for people who own the old 3DS, as they may be forced to upgrade in the future, with exclusive games being developed for the new hardward, with Xenoblade Chronicles being the first. The model will launch exclusively to Japan on October 11th, making it's way to the Western Market next year as a possibility. View attachment: new_nintendo_3ds_reg.0.png Are you displeased that you must upgrade your 3DS so soon after it's launch to play some future games, or is it okay and a natural part of owning a console? Discuss the ideas! Halo: The Master Chief Collection Forge Revealed, Halo 3 Gameplay, etc. 343 Industries had a lot to reveal today at PAX at their conference, with Forge details being the highlight and a surprise viewing of Halo 3 in 1080p/60fps. Ducain23 (one of our partners) recorded the whole event, which can be seen at YouTube.com, showing off some new forge features and images on Ascension. Bug fixes like inconsistent magnetization and menu issues have been addressed and dealt with, and some old features like zoom and the much requested precision control have been brought back. We have a host of new features though, and I'll list and explain several of them here. You can now snap and align objects to the ground, allowing you to easily place something on terrain without issue. Next, the palette has been improved with new natural objects and structures, and you can now pick specific palettes for objects on maps. You can also create objects in the sky in Skyboxes, like in Sandbox in Halo 3 on the grid. You can script objects, and while we're not totally sure what this could mean, we can assume players can assign objects certain activation cues or interactions, like making objects into doors. Finally there is no more budget, and instead we have an object counter currently capped at 650, at least on Ascension. Halo 3 gameplay was also shown, as said before, and looked to have very little difference to it's last gen counterpart, you can view the whole thing in the link. View attachment: halo-master-chief-collection.jpg Are you excited for Forge or Halo 3 in the Master Chief Collection now that we have seen some of these? Let me know below! Thank you all very much for reading, my apologies that it's later in the day, I was busy. Hope everyone has a great night, and I'll see you next time. GIMME A WEEKLY. GIMME A NEWS. GIMME A WRAP-UP. 7. Hello everyone, boys, girls, people of indiscernible gender, striped horses that beckon, and warm slices of wheat. Welcome to the Weekly News Wrap-Up for the 23rd of August, 2014! I have your usual three awesome articles but as usual I'm gonna do some shameless advertising. Do attend my upcoming GTA V event and my bud Self Destruct's event coming up, they're both gonna be sick! And a shoutout to my buddy Bnus who left the Communications team, and a warm welcome to Ignited Bullet who joined the team. Now, unto the Wrap-Up! View attachment: WNW 82314.JPG The Witcher 3 Not 1080p/60 FPS, Likely Won't Be At Launch With the dawn of new consoles, there is always a game at their launches that raise the bar and show off the true graphical potential and prowess of the system, but it looks like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, won't be that game this generation. According to WorldsFactory.net, who interviewed CD Projekt Red, the developers, the game isn't running at full 1080p/60 FPS yet, and likely won't by launch. When speaking to a visual effects artist, he said, "If we can make it at 1080P, sure, but I don’t know if it’s going to make it. To be honest, I really don’t know. Probably not. But for sure, we need it to run at a smooth frame rate, so at least 30 FPS." The artist then proceeded to press blame on the demanding physics engine in-game. He also shared the progress of the game on the PS4 and Xbox One, saying how at first they feared the game was so demanding that the consoles couldn't run it and it would be a PC exclusive, but they worked out the kinks and they are making progress to getting it working. It isn't quite there yet however, so don't count on an early release in any stretch. View attachment: witcher.jpg Does this news disappoint you, has it swayed your excitement for the Witcher 3? The Walking Dead Season 2 Finale Release Date Revealed There's no going back now, with the end of The Wolf Among Us leaving us with more questions then answers, don't expect an easy time playing The Walking Dead Season 2 waiting for the next season of The Wolf Among Us, as TWD is coming to an end. Telltale announced on their Twitter.com account that the season finale, titled "No Going Back", will be releasing on PlayStation NA, PC, and Mac on August 26th, Xbox 360 and PlayStation EU on the 27th, and iOS on the 28th. There is a trailer out, however it contains spoilers so I won't link it in case you (like myself) haven't played Season 2 yet. It will be available for $5, or you can buy the Season Pass with all five episodes for $25. View attachment: Bvh7G5CCMAA6CbY.jpg Are you excited for TWD Season 2's finale, do you think it will bring you to tears like Season 1's? Let me know in the thread below! Phillip Fish Selling 'Fez' License and 'Polytron' Company; Leaving Gaming You have probably heard his infamous name, Phil Fish, some have called him a genius for his work on Fez, but now he battles an onslaught of curses and profanities aimed at him and his overreactive personality. The man has gone as far to say his fans don't deserve a sequel to the original Fez, and has had other unpopular opinions like how developers should be paid royalties for reviews and gameplay and the defense of a female gaming figure who allegedly had sexual relations with figures in the gaming industry to work her way up. Too many to name here, but the surprising news GameSpot.com has reported is that after a devastating attack left Phil's personal info including bank account passwords, addresses, and private documents out in the open, Phil is selling the license to his game, Fez, and his company Polytron. Phil made a statement offering his 'helpful' advice to developers, saying, "No reasonable offer will be turned down. I am done. I want out. RUN AWAY. Just don't do it. Give up your dreams. They are actually nightmares. Nothing is worth this. To every aspiring game developer out there: Don't. give up. It's not worth it. This is your audience. This is videogames." As sad as it is, under Fish's ownership Fez II would never have been made, maybe now we can see a sequel to the fun little indie. View attachment: 2268085-fez3.jpeg I say 'fun little indie' but I've never actually played it BECAUSE of Phil himself and the way he treats fans, but I have heard it is good. Have you ever played Fez? Tell me how it is below! Thanks for reading guys, and be sure to check out the above playdates and congratulation Bullet! I'll see you all next time, have a good week guys and gals. View full article

9. Hello everyone, and welcome to another issue of the Weekly News Wrap-Up! Before I start, I'd like to honour my grandmother, Maria, who unfortunately passed on. Her birthday was yesterday and I went to visit her grave for the first time in years. She was an amazing woman, who worked all day and raised a household of three children in a country where immigrants like her had to work hard for every cent they made. May she rest in peace, her legacy live on. Now, unto the wrap-up. View attachment: WNW 80914.JPG Battlefield 4 Free On Origin For 7 Days Though many haven't heard, EA has launched a new rewards program on Origin known as 'Game Time', which was covered on the Weekly News Wrap-Up when Titanfall was free. Origin.com reports that this time players can get Battlefield 4 for free for the next week, an odd choice of game considering Titanfall, a much fresher game, came before this in the game time service. You can pick Battlefield 4 up on August 14th at 10:00 A.M. Pacific Time. Once you start playing, the clock ticks down, so if you choose to grab it now and don't play it for another week, fear not, for it's tied to each player's game time. If you wish to buy Battlefield 4 on PC after, all your achievements and data are saved thanks to Origin. The clock does in fact run down even while you're away, as long as the game is activated. View attachment: Free-Battlefield-4-China-Rising-DLC-Can-t-Be-Transferred-from-Current-to-Next-Gen-Consoles.jpg Are you picking Battlefield 4 up in this exclusive deal, or does it not interest you enough to snag? Debate below! Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare PC Specifications Revealed If any of you are picking up Advanced Warfare over Steam this fall, you might be wondering what it's specifications are so that you can prepare your computer for the game, if so I have great news! IGN.com reports that Activision has shown off the specifications, and I'll walk you through them. You'll need Windows 7 or Windows 8, both need to be 64 bit. You're going to need an Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ (Gigahertz) or an AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better processor, with Intel Core i5 - 680 recommended. Next up, a MINIMUM 6GB Ram or 8GB recommended Ram, and 40GB worth of HDD space. A NVIDIA GeForce GTX or ATI Radeon are needed, with NVIDIA GeForce's better models being more recommended. Finally, any DirectX compatible sound card will do. To put that in perspective, Call of Duty Ghosts had nearly the same specifications, even down to the required space. Far Cry 4 Creative Lead Discusses Game; Claims Improvements Made One of the hottest games of Fall 2014, Far Cry 4, the sequel to the 2012 action game Far Cry 3, has been critically acclaimed by critics so far with it's intense trailers and immense hype. WIth all of this hype however, people may fear the game is too similar to it's predecessor, but Creative Director Alex Hutchinson was interviewed and discussed his time on the project. He said, "For me, the most important things are enabling more player agency, building better tools and adding co-op so people can create more interesting player stories, and trying to make a seamless experience." He also described how gameplay would challenge the player in new and inventive ways, and among other things stated the fresh dynamic between the main protagonist and antagonist, with the villain of the game not actually wanting to kill the hero. Alex teased Spartan Ops-esque missions as well, set outside the main area, possibly connecting Far Cry 3 to Far Cry 4? For now, we don't know, he refused to comment more and told us we'd have new details on these missions, being developed outside of the Ubisoft branch making the main game, soon. View attachment: far_cry_4_new_game-wide.jpg Are you excited for Far Cry 4; Have you pre-ordered? Discuss in the thread! Thanks for reading everyone, gotta end here as I've gotta eat, but I'll see you all next week on the WEEKLY. NEWS. WRAP-UP. Badoosh. View full article
  10. I apologize for this being in the middle of the week again, but I'm going to be away from Friday morning to Sunday morning, so I'm doing it now. Anyways, I found some really good stories this week so let's get on into it! I'd like to thank Bnus for filling in for me last week, it's appreciated Bnus! Here we go! View attachment: WNW 73114.JPG Watch_Dogs DLC Location hinted at on Twitter Watch_Dogs may be heading to a new location in a DLC releasing this fall, transferring out of Chicago and unto the streets of New Jersey. According to Polygon.com, Watch_Dogs' Twitter stated how Camden, New Jersey had the absolute highest crime rates of any city in the United States and how they (in-game Dedsec organization) would begin monitoring it. A fan soon asked if this was in relation to an add-on, and they responded with a fall release window for something. As for now, it is unknown whether this is DLC, a new game (unlikely), or just a statistic thrown out there completely unrelated to the Fall DLC. View attachment: watch-dogs.jpg What's your take on this, would a DLC in New Jersey be a good idea, or is a different city a better option? Let me know below! Assassin's Creed: Rogue Listed on Swedish Retailer Assassin's Creed Unity is hot on our heels for this fall, but we may have another Assassin's Creed game slipping under the rug. Previously known as Assassin's Creed Comet, IGN.com reports that a Swedish game retailer has listed the last generation exclusive as Assassin's Creed Rogue. It apparently launches October 28th, 2014, the same day as Unity on PS3 and Xbox 360 only. Information is scant, but from rumors, the game will serve as a direct sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and take place in New York. Rumors also say that the main protagonist will be a Templar, an odd move for the series. We still have yet to hear an official confirmation of Assassin's Creed Comet/Rogue's existence, but from the evidence, it seems likely we'll see more of the game soon. View attachment: ACRogue.jpg Would you like to see Rogue this year, or should Ubisoft take some time to develop the game properly and market it well so that it can be a true masterpiece? Debate below! New Bioshock content teased by 2K United Kingdom Those who have anticipated and are waiting for a new Bioshock will be excited to hear this news on the future of the game. Eurogamer.com reports that 2K UK's twitter feed showcased an interesting picture recently, a witty and condescending caption for a picture of a mermaid holding an apple with the words, "Come bite the apple!" on it. Anyone who's ever played the original Bioshock knows what this picture is a reference to, Eve's Garden in the original. Could this possibly mean a new game, or maybe a remaster sometime in the future, as the original Bioshock's 10 year anniversary is only a few years away? I personally cannot wait to see what lies Somewhere Beyond the Sea. View attachment: bigdaddy.jpg What are your hopes for the Bioshock franchise, who do you think should develop it? Discuss! See the pun I made, 'Somewhere Beyond the Sea'? Ha... Ha... Ha yeah it's not too funny. 11. Let's play pretend! Let's pretend it isn't the middle of the week! Let's pretend I haven't missed two weeks! Let's pretend I still have my job on staff and aren't just pretending myself to stay sane hahahahaha... But I'm still in my job, of course I am, DON'T TELL ME OTHERWISE. Anyways, we've got three great articles this week, and I'd like to send a shoutout to my good friend Bnus to go check out the latest TGFW event happening, and this month's MoM Vigilant Intellect, keep on rocking bud! Now, let's begin! View attachment: WNW 70914.JPG Driveclub PlayStation 4 Bundle Announced One of the most anticipated games of 2013 at the launch of the PS4, however people were put in despair when this racing game along with Watch_Dogs were delayed until 2014, then experiencing another delay from this summer to later in Fall 2014. IGN.com reports that Sony recently revealed a revival of an older bundle with the game and it's console. The bundle includes the console in it's standard colours, a DualShock 4 controller in it's standard colour, and Driveclub's full version, not the free PlayStation Plus version which was announced to have microtransactions and restrictions. The bundle is €439.99 in Europe, and the North American bundle has yet to be confirmed, though it likely exists and will likely be priced at around $459.99 USD give or take. Driveclub releases this Fall exclusively on PlayStation 4 for $59.99 USD. View attachment: driveclubpic.jpg Are you picking up the bundle, or do you not plan on buying a PlayStation 4 or the game itself? Be sure to tell me below! Titanfall: Frontier's Edge DLC Revealed Titanfall has surprisingly stayed a smash hit since it's massively hyped release back in March of 2014, with a DLC in May known as Expedition and countless updates after. It was recently announced on Titanfall.com that a new DLC, known as Frontier's Edge, will be releasing soon with three new maps contained in it. These maps are Dig Site, a mining operation, a small hub ingrained in the mountainside, Export, and a luxurious beach-head, Haven. All of these are available for $9.99, or the discount of $24.99 with the Season Pass, which comes with Expedition, Frontier's Edge, and a third unannounced pack. The release date for the pack is not yet known, but if I were to guess, I'd estimate it around late July or early August like the Expedition pack in late May after a late March announcement. Titanfall and it's DLC are available on the Xbox 360, PC, and Xbox One. View attachment: TFDLC2.jpg What do you think of this new pack, is there a need for more content and more variety, or does this satisfy you? Debate below! Project Spark gets retail Xbox One version; Release Date announced Project Spark was announced at E3 in 2013 as a Microsoft platform exclusive, since receiving many updates and a currently running beta. Polygon.com reports that the game now has a confirmed release date, October 7th in the American territories, and October 10th in Europe, with Asia-Pacific copies releasing on the 9th. A version available for store purchase, the Project Spark Starter Pack will be available for Xbox One only, but it's content can be downloaded digitally on Windows 8 and Xbox One, no word on the Xbox 360. The pack includes 2 feature packs, a new character, and the first entry to an episodic action/adventure series planned in the game. Looking at all this information, it seems the Xbox 360 version and the Windows 8 versions have been getting little attention by the developers, Team Dakota, compared to the Xbox One version. View attachment: Project_Spark_Zombie.jpg Are you picking Project Spark up? Via digital download or physical? Discuss below! What did you think on all that news? 12. I'm not late, it doesn't count! We have your usual three articles today, tried to spice it up by making them a bit more diverse this time around. So sit down, get your popcorn, and prepare for- What? I need to leave the premises? Why? I don't work here anymore? That's insane! You're getting the swat dogs, okay I'm out! Before we start the link in the article below does contain coarse language, viewer discretion is advised. View attachment: WNW 71914.JPG Ashley Johnson (Ellie, The Last of Us) Responds to Ubisoft Female Assassin Controversy Ubisoft has been under heavy fire from Gaming Press, Gamers, and men and women alike in the gaming media for their decision to not include a playable female Assassin. Ashley Johnson, best known as Ellie from The Last of Us, is one of those women, as she has fired at Ubisoft according to Polygon.com. Leaving out Ashley's choice words likely too mature to be fully stated here, she is completely against the decision, saying, "It's 2014! How many video games do you have to make to realize maybe have an option to have a female be in there?" Her co-star in the game, Troy Baker, has made a much less volatile statement, cautioning the idea of forced inclusion of females. Ubisoft has tried to quell the massive response of angered gamers, but even their wide array of efforts have done little to stop people. Ubisoft is composed of a diverse library of employees, men, women, foreigners, and for the most part anything in between. They were also under similar fire for controversy over the Far Cry 4 cover art showcasing a lighter skinned man holding down a darker skinned man. View attachment: ellie-and-joel-the-last-of-us_121708.jpg What's your take on this ridiculous controversy? Debate below! Sony announces two new PS4 bundles in Japan: Custom Destiny Bundle and The Last of Us Bundle PlayStation 4 bundles have been popping up in massive degrees lately, between the Driveclub bundle announced and the recent questionable Frozen bundle, Japan has a wide variety of different PlayStation 4s to choose from, and now we can add two more to that list. IGN.com states that Sony has announced a Destiny bundle with a custom console, and a The Last of Us Remastered bundle with a custom TLOU: R themed PS4. The Destiny bundle is the same as it is here in United States, save for the Destiny logo imprinted unto the console. The Last of Us Remastered bundle includes the game, the PlayStation 4 with the two main characters on the cover, and the DualShock 4, all in their signature black. Destiny is slightly different sporting the Sony logo on it's bottom right corner as well, as it is a PS4 exclusive in Japan. The bundles will likely be the same price as your typical game/console bundle. Xbox One Summer Update Features Mobile Purchases, 3D Blu-Ray Compatibility, and More The Xbox One has received quite a few helpful updates following it's launch about a year ago, including a helpful video editor. Major Nelson, or Larry Hyrb, reported on Xbox.com that an update will be available next month. These features include a refined Activity feed, a whole area dedicated to your friends and their activities on the hub, mobile purchases allowing you to buy Xbox items from your device or computer, a low battery notification that pops up on your screen, the ability to turn off notifications during video playback, an enabler for 3D Blu-Ray, an old feature returning from the Xbox 360 allowing you to see what your friends were last doing and when, and OneGuide in a slue of other countries. 13. Sorry for this delay again, next Saturday I will be sure to post this on the dot, I lost access to my PC over the weekend, and recently got it back, you have my apologies. We've got three amazing articles for you this week, I promise! My 1000th post everyone, enjoy! View attachment: WNW 71514.JPG Negotiations with Microsoft and Sony for Early Access on Consoles Underway One of the main reasons for the PC system Steam's popularity is it's easy to use Early Access system, which has allowed underground titles like DayZ and The Forest to see massive popularity and growth, and receive critical hands-on gameplay feedback. IGN.com reports that key people in Microsoft and Sony Computer Entertainment America, Adam Boyes and Chris Charla, did reveal that key conversations with developers were about the implementation of an Early Access system akin to Steam's. ID@Xbox's chief Chris Charla, mentioned above, gave the most information on it, saying, "It's a really interesting issue with digital marketplaces, and it's something our store and marketplace team think about all the time . . . Our goal is to have a rational marketplace, where good games are visible and sell well." Adam Boyes made similar comments, stating, "It's still a project that a lot of minds are considering. No details yet, but it's something on the top of my mind every day." View attachment: dayz__wallpapers.jpg Would you like to see an Early Access system implemented into the Xbox One or PS4? Grand Theft Auto V PC Release Listed Grand Theft Auto V was recently announced on Current Generation consoles and PCs, with a Fall 2014 window, but the actual release date seems to be unknown, at least until now. PCGamer.com describes that a European site called CoolShop listed the game for November 14th, 2014, meaning that North Americans will likely get it on the 11th of November. The date does make some sense, as the majority of European releases happen on Friday, and happen in North America on Tuesday. The date has been changed to the standard issue filler date of December 31st, 2014, but PCGamer still has a snapshot of it, visible on the article. Bioware to Discuss Mass Effect 4 at Comic-Con Details on the upcoming Mass Effect 4, likely not even to be called that, have been scarce, save for some conceptual art at E3 and scattered comments toward the product, however, this Comic-Con you will likely be able to see more of the new Mass Effect. Polygon.com states that this Comic-Con, according to the schedule, Bioware will be appearing to talk about Mass Effect 4. Well-known members of the Bioware team like Mike Gamble and Jessica Merizan will be making an appearance at the panel. Aside from that Bioware is remaining scant on the whole thing, so we'll have to wait to see what else they have in store. So far, there has been no confirmed release date for the next Mass Effect, but it is likely not going to be in 2014 and will probably release in 2015 or 2016 at the latest. 15. Hello everyone and welcome to this week's issue of the Weekly News Wrap-Up! I'm your host Edward Kenway and tonight we have some awesome games for you! Let's check them out! View attachment: WNW 62114.JPG Halo: Broken Circle Announced Halo's novel have given the community a deeper and more meaningful insight into the events that occur in the main story. One of the most infamous of these, the splitting of the Covenant by the end of Halo 2, is getting a novel adaptation according to HaloWaypoint.com called Halo: Broken Circle. It will be written by John Shirley and release November 4th, 2014. The story will center around an Elite Splinter Group fighting back, as well as the story of an honest and true Prophet stuck in a dangerous situation. The cover shows three Elite ships (notice the green lighting and powering, not blue like normal Covenant ships) and what looks like a destroyed shield world of sorts. Since the Arbiter has been announced to hold a place in terminals, this could be a sort of side-story concurrent to the main one. View attachment: halo-broken-circle-novel-404e843a32b245f2a5a41500c9fe4801.jpg Are you going to be picking up Halo: Broken Circle and does it interest you? Let me know below! Titanfall Available for Free for 48 Hours on PC Titanfall, Respawn's hit multiplayer title exclusive to Microsoft platforms, is going to be available for free for 48 hours on the PC only. This deal comes to us from Origin as one of their new goodwill projects, Origin.com says. The project is called 'Game Time' and while no information has been released on what products will be available next, we can likely expect larger titles like Battlefield 4 or Mirror's Edge to hold a place in it. If you decide to purchase Titanfall after your trial is up, your progress in-game will be saved so long as you're on your account. EA has stated that this is just beginning today, so it isn't available in every country yet, but will be soon. The time starts when you begin playing and ends after 48 hours, meaning that as soon as you activate the game, the clock ticks down, even when you yourself aren't playing. View attachment: Titanfall_wallpaper2560x1440.jpg Are you going to be picking up Titanfall with this deal if you haven't already? Debate below! Destiny's Exclusive Content Only Lasts until Fall 2015 Destiny has a hefty load of fresh content coming to PS4 on day one like the Monte Carlo assault rifle, Hawkmoon handgun, new ships and armor, and an exclusive Strike and Competitive map. According to Polygon.com, an Amazon listing (now edited) showed off in it's detailings for the PS4 version the content and stated that it would only be available until Fall 2015. It seems odd that it would be such a short period of time considering how heavily all this content is being pushed on the PlayStation 4. If this amazon listing is to be trusted, Xbox owners can expect to get their hands on the exclusive content (likely) between September and November 2015. View attachment: E3_warlock_desktop.jpg Are you irritated that the exclusive content is only available on PS4 for a limited time, or are you yourself a PS4 owner and happy with the decision? 16. Hello dedicated readers, welcome to the Weekly News Wrap-Up, the eighth edition, wow I'm really milking this cash cow! Speaking of cash cows, we have quite a few of those in today- What? I'm being told we can't call these games 'cash cows'... Uh-huh... Apparently I'm fired. Welp, there goes my income for my three kids... Enjoy the Wrap-Up! View attachment: WNW 61414.JPG Diablo III Confirmed for 900p on Xbox One; 1080p on PlayStation 4 Diablo III: The Ultimate Evil has become a widely pre-ordered hit making it's way to Current Generation consoles, and naturally the question buyers are asking is what the resolution of the game is? According to IGN.com, the game will run at a confirmed 900p on the Xbox One, and 1080p on the PS4, both at a 60 frames per second lock. This news came from the Senior Producer's own mouth, Julia Humphreys, who only said, "We're prioritizing frame rate." This is surprising considering it wasn't mentioned at E3, which is strange as most developers would bring it up. Of course this is likely due to the apparent partnership with PS4 as the Ultimate Evil Edition only appeared at the Sony conference, and has PlayStation exclusive content. Phil Spencer also responded over Twitter, making it apparent that the resolution wasn't his choice and he never spoke to Blizzard personally on the matter. View attachment: Diablo-3-Reaper-of-Souls-Soundtrack.jpg What do you think, is it disappointing that it's only 900p on Xbox One, or is it okay for the 'next' generation to put out a 900p game? Grand Theft Auto V Announced for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4 The Current Generation version of Grand Theft Auto V had a huge amount of rumors and speculation around it, so it was a given that this confirmation would happen, likely at E3. EscapistMagazine.com reports that the game, which was revealed at E3, will becoming at an unannounced date this fall for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. It will include visual upgrades, added content, and a bonus video editor for PC users. The game is available for pre-order already, and is likely partnered with PlayStation in some way, as it was revealed at their conference and shows PS4 footage. View attachment: gta-v-.jpg What do you think of the news? Are you excited for GTA V on the newer platforms, enough to pre-order or buy day one? Let me know below! Mass Effect Prequel Teased at E3 Mass Effect has become a pop culture hit in it's latest years, and fans were foaming at the teeth for a new reveal at E3's conference, what they got only managed to tease more, on Mass Effect's account, the set of interviews and concept images can be seen in a short video talking about the move in a new direction. The game is shown to have Krogan-esque figures, and enter a new region of the galaxy currently unexplored. The main character also has beefy armor, looking quite a bit like that of a Cerberus trooper, and follows a galaxy map of sorts, like usual. The N7 logo is also shown off multiple times, as well as vast open terrains mimicing that of the old expansive lands to drive the Mako around, a much missed vehicle. This teaser basically sums up that the game is in development and it won't be long before we see more of it. 17. Hello everyone and welcome to the latest issue of the Weekly News Wrap-Up! Before we begin I'd like to send my own dedication to War Veterans everywhere who served on D-Day 70 years ago yesterday, as well as anywhere at any time. Putting your life on the line for your home must be a very difficult thing to do, and I salute you for sprinting into the raging fire with the knowledge you may not come out. I'd also like to send my regards to the Kennedy family, on the anniversary of RFK's death yesterday, and his assassination the day before. But enough with depressing news in the real world, let's start off with some depressing news in the fictional world! View attachment: WNW 60714.JPG Martin O'Donnell Sues Bungie for Unpaid Wages In a shocking display, Bungie's ex-composer Martin O'Donnell is suing his former company and especially it's chief executive Harold Ryan, on account of unpaid debts on Bungie's part owed to Martin. If we all remember his firing accordingly, on April 11th we received a tweet on Marty's account saying he had been fired without cause, and VentureBeat.com was the first to spot his gross attack at Bungie. This does not seem to be a major assault at all employees however, as the attack was aimed at Harold Ryan, mentioned before. The file specifically said, "Ryan has willfully and intentionally caused Bungie to deprive O’Donnell of accrued but unused vacation time, paid time off, sabbatical time, and other benefits." The case is ongoing, and Bungie has no plans of giving in to the lawsuits apparently. View attachment: Marty-o-Donnell.jpg Do you side with Bungie, or do you side with Martin in this ongoing battle likely soon to escalate to a war? Debate below! Forza Horizon 2 Gets Pre-E3 Teaser Forza Horizon 2, one of the most anticipated racing games that was leaked some time ago, was recently officially announced by IGN, also announced to be 1080p and 30fps, lower then that of Forza Motorsport 5, but being open-world causing restraints. Xbox's official channel showed off the first real-live glimpses of footage from Horizon recently, in a small teaser. The teaser shows of the European country-side and some decals on a yellow Lamborghini Huracan. Aside from that, we get a logo, and another tease to tune in at Microsoft's E3 presentation. It will in-fact be available on the Xbox One and Xbox 360, with two different developers doing the two different versions akin to Titanfall. View attachment: FH2.JPG Are you pumped for E3 because of the Forza Horizon 2 teaser, or are there other titles that more concern your interests? Let me know below, be sure to discuss! The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Collector's Edition and Release Date Announced A sure sign that foreign games can become huge hits on the popular market, The Witcher, made by polish developer CD Projekt Red, has become a widely loved game with a third title on the way for Current Generation consoles and PC. According to a recent listing on GameStop.com, a collector's edition is also available for the game and a confirmed release of February 24th, 2015 has been announced. The Collector's Edition will run you $150 USD estimated and will include a statue of the main hero, the main game in the typical box art, an Art Book, a medallion of the Witcher symbol, Collector's boxes and an extra steelbook to store the game in if you are unsatisfied with the main game box. GameStop also has other bonuses like a Poster and Keychain available when pre-ordering from them. View attachment: TW3WHCE.jpg Are you ordering the Collector's Edition or picking The Witcher 3 up when it releases? Discuss below, thanks for reading! Thank you for taking the time to read this, I apologize if someone has already taken one of these articles and I hadn't seen, I sure hope they haven't, if you have, let me know and I'll try to sort it out! I'll see you next time on the Weekly News Wrap-Up!
  18. Hello everyone and welcome to the the May 31st edition of the Weekly News Wrap-Up! I apologize for this being a few minutes late today, but I finally got my hands on Watch_Dogs for a few hours, and was getting very immersed into the game, and I just got to my PC again a little while ago! Don't fret, for the Wrap-Up is still packed with awesome content all in one place for your reading pleasure! So sit back, relax, and enjoy! View attachment: WNW 53114.JPG The Order: 1886 Delayed to Early 2015 One of Sony's largest exclusives of 2014 was The Order: 1886, following a steampunk styled Industrial Revolution during the Victorian Era, and an unknown and ancient threat, a plot that seems to show promise. I say 'was' because it was recently announced over on PlayStation.com in a blog entry that The Order would be delayed to early 2015, likely February, with a heap of other triple-A titles like Metal Gear Solid: V, Dying Light, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to name a few. The developer, Ready at Dawn, gave the typical reasoning for the delay, explaining how more time was needed to craft the game to perfection. "we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made . . . you can expect The Order: 1886 to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015." They said. View attachment: 2432359-the+order+1886+shot.jpg Are you pleased that The Order: 1886 has been delayed so that it can be adjusted and fixed to the appropriate state a game should launch in, or has this solidified your reasoning that the PlayStation 4 needs more games soon as it's running dry? Let me know below! Destiny 'Art of', 'Making of', and Poster Collection Books Revealed Destiny has had much hype leading up to it's fall release, but we're all left scratching our heads on scarce details for two main deals which Bungie has remained silent on, Destiny Books, and a Collector's Edition, and while the Collector's Edition has yet to be mentioned, we have received confirmation of three Destiny books! A Reddit.com user spotted the books in his June Comic Previews catalog and took a screenshot of them, showcasing the three different types mentioned above. Each is labeled as being ''Available only within the United States" which could be a complicated situation for those in outside countries looking for Destiny memorabilia. The Art of Destiny is 160 pages, the Poster Collection is 40 pages, and the Making of Destiny is 156 pages. The Artbook and 'Making of' run at $45 USD each and the poster collection at $24.99 USD. View attachment: DestinyBooks.jpg Will you be buying the three books, or just certain ones? Discuss below! Dishonored 2: Darkness of Tyvia Fact Sheet Leaked Dishonored was a huge game in 2012, and made a large mark in a year of innovative and new games that aren't widely known or have the biggest budget becoming large hits. It makes sense that reps from the development team would say things like, "We clearly have a new franchise" and this statement is further backed with the leak over on VG247.com, who's source leaked them a fact sheet for an E3 demonstration of Dishonored II. This sheet includes the information that the game will include a DOOM Beta access code, like Wolfenstein, and will be on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, as well as feature a new character with new powers hunting down the Outsider, possibly on a mission of revenge as the previous game's theme seemed to be. It will also include a Versus multi-player mode, run on IDTech5 Engine, and release sometime during 2016. Bethesda did speak to VG247 saying, “we don’t comment on rumour or speculation.” View attachment: dishonored-2-02-1024x521.jpg Do you want this fact sheet to turn out true, or is there some things you'd change, because now is for sure the time for feedback with E3 days away! Debate below about this rumor! Thank you for reading the Wrap-Up this week, if you like what you've seen here be sure to tune in weekly. Same News-Time, same News-Channel, I'll see you next time!

Let's get down to our three awesome articles this weekend, please enjoy! (Side note: be sure to check out the Weekly News Wrap-Up Index to find all of the new Wrap-Ups in one directory!) View attachment: WNW 52414.JPG Evolve Confirms Release Date Evolve, from the creators of Left 4 Dead, has received massive hype following the announcement of four new character classes, as well as it's presentation at PAX 2014. According to Polygon.com, 2K has announced some exciting news for fans of the game, a confirmed release date in the fall line-up of October 21st, 2014. Evolve could receive some trouble at launch however due to the fact that a wealth of other hit titles will be releasing during that month like Batman: Arkham Knight, Alien Isolation, and Driveclub just to name a few. As previously announced, it will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 world-wide. You can pre-order to get a few bonuses like the Monster Expansion Pack, which includes a skin for your Goliath. View attachment: 2K_EVOLVE_E3_Character_Bucket2.jpg Are you pre-ordering Evolve for pick-up on October 21st, or can you simply not afford it with the heap of other triple-A titles releasing? Let us know below! Batman: Arkham Knight Gameplay Trailer Released Batman: Arkham Knight, the fourth and final game in the Arkham Franchise, is expected to release this fall in October, and we recently got our first glimpse of in-game content rather then just High Definition screenshots. On Xbox's channel, a trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight was released, showcasing a few new things. In the trailer, called "Evening the Odds", we got our first glimpse of in-game scenes with Two-Face and Batman, and our first look at Scarecrow and Rocksteady's new villain, the Arkham Knight. We also see some scenes of the Batmobile and it's ability to drive through the streets and sewers. The video is mostly narrated by Scarecrow, like the first trailer. View attachment: batmanakphoto.jpg What do you think of the new Gameplay trailer; are you buying Arkham Knight? Discuss! Star Wars Attack: Squadrons Cancelled by Disney After the cancellation of the promising Star Wars 1313, fans were skeptical about a new title under the name Attack Squadrons, but with a fairly successful closed beta, we were hopeful that the game would outlast, it did not. According to the official site, StarWarsAttackSquadrons.com, development stopped after careful deliberation about other star wars outlets. They said specifically, "After much consideration, we have decided to cease development so that we can focus on other Star Wars game experiences. We truly appreciate the time you spent engaging in the beta." No other information was released on the unfortunate cancellation, but this could lead to good things such as other ventures in the Star Wars franchise, that will hopefully not be cancelled. View attachment: 1400876695-star-wars-attack-squadrons.jpg Did you see promise in Attack Squadrons, or is this an unintelligent move on Disney's part? Debate below! 20. Hello everyone, welcome to another incarnation of the Weekly News Wrap-Up today, once again we have three articles up and ready for your reading pleasures, so sit back and get some popcorn cause we're diving into the Weekly News Wrap-Up! Credits to Zelda for the first article by the way! View attachment: WNW 51714.JPG Activision and Blizzard's New Games took Seven Years Today, an announcement came in from Fool.com that Activision and Blizzard are set to release two new games. These will go alongside Activision's two hit titles, Destiny and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare this fall and took seven years between them to make. With both having a wide variety of healthy titles under their belt, it's hard to figure out if this seven years is going into entirely new franchises to bring to competition, or a well-cooked revival of an older franchise. Either way, this time could hurt them as well, as certain titles that have taken a long time to build end up cobbled and sloppily done as work was scattered everywhere and too much was put into it. View attachment: GuardianofDestiny.jpg What's your take on this, a smart decision by both major publishers, or possible death-wishes for their new products? Let me know below! The Division gets a Release Date Ubisoft's new title with signed exclusive content deals for the Xbox One, Tom Clancy's The Division, has gotten it's release date, an unfortunate push-back. According to Ubi.com, the game will launch a year later then originally expected, in 2015. It will of course launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, excluding all previous generation consoles with far superior hardware requirements. The dev team stated in an update, "We are creating something we are really proud of and we don't want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it's ready." They also confirmed an E3 appearance, as to which console's expo they will be showing up to, we are unclear, but with the aforementioned exclusivity agreement with Microsoft, it's likely to be shown at the Xbox Conference. View attachment: TCTD.jpg How do you feel about the pushed release date, did you plan on getting the Division? Discuss below, thanks for reading! Assassin's Creed III Director Rumored to be on Far Cry 4 Alex Hutchinson has certainly made his name in the gaming community, whether you like his titles or not. He worked on the poorly to averagely reviewed Spore and Army of Two, and when he moved to Ubisoft, he went to work on Assassin's Creed III, now apparently working on Far Cry 4. IGN.com stated that according to close sources to the game, Far Cry 4 will feature his involvement. This could be a grace or a nail in the game's coffin, as Alex's previous titles were not taken well critically over in Electronic Arts, and Assassin's Creed III fared no better. View attachment: Game page launch trailertcm2169740.jpg Does this impact your decision on ordering Far Cry 4 in a positive or negative way knowing Alex's previous work? 21. Yes, this WNW has been done since 10pm, I have been waiting for it to turn to Saturday on EST, if you're reading this and it isn't Saturday for you yet, that's why. I was eager to get this one up, so without further ado here's your three articles in one, the fourth issue of the Weekly News Wrap-Up! View attachment: WNW 51014.JPG The Elder Scrolls Online Delayed on Consoles Zenimax and Bethesda's newest issue in the Elder Scrolls series, a push into the new frontier of MMOs for the franchise, The Elder Scrolls Online, is apparently going to be delayed on the next generation, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to the official Elder Scrolls site, ElderScrollsOnline.com, the Xbox One and PS4 versions were delayed due to Zenimax's vie to deliver an experience worthy of Elder Scrolls on the consoles, as well as issues on the PC version making dents in the development. As well, an agreement was worked out with Microsoft and Sony to allow players to access the game on PC first, and for $20 more, upgrade to PS4 or Xbox One later on when the versions release. An added bonus to this deal is an extra 30 days for free, though the forced $15 fee to unlock the rest of the free months is still a snag unto the offer. View attachment: ESO1.jpg Has this impacted your decision to buy the game positively or negatively? Will you take part in the transfer deal for PC to Next Generation? Let me know below, and be sure to leave feedback! Halo 5 Accidentally Teased in Xbox One Trailer The next generation Halo has apparently been teased enticingly in a recent Xbox One trailer, showing some rather important information. On Xbox's official account, a new teaser for the hardware and UI called "Show" revealed a player under the name 'Pit Bear' playing what is labeled as the next Halo, on Haven in a game of Infinity Slayer. While HaloWaypoint did comment saying that this was placeholder information, it's still interesting to spot out, and could confirm the return of these fan-favorite game modes and maps. View attachment: halo_5_trailer.jpg What do you think of this information, are you enticed, and do you want it to return? Comment and be sure to discuss, thanks for reading! Titanfall Hinted at for PlayStation 4 A well known leaker named Tidux on Twitter.com says that Titanfall is in the works for PS4 and could release soon. Now, what makes Tidux somewhat credible is that he recently leaked the PlayStation 1.70 update, which turned out to be completely true. This rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, as the exclusivity agreement has not been confirmed to be null and void just yet. Evidence does hint at a future sequel on the system, but as for the original, it's all speculation until we get an official announcement, but this leak does hint at some interesting things. View attachment: Titanfall_wallpaper2560x1440.jpg How do you take this, would you like to see Titanfall on PS4? Debate civilly below, I hope you enjoyed the article! 23. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to the third Weekly Site Wrap-Up! I once again have three exciting articles mashed into one amazing piece for your reading pleasure. So let's get down to business and start reading, shall we? View attachment: WNW 50314.JPG Showtime Vying for Deal with Halo TV Series The ever famous Halo TV series directed by Steven Spielburg may be shifting from it's Xbox One exclusivity according to Variety. Variety.com says that the show, as well as the deal with Showtime, have been underway for nearly a year and it's been a difficult process, as Halo is such a prime asset to Microsoft. As well, tensions arose because both sides have been charting new frontiers for a new show to air. Nancy Tellem had brought up the show profusely at the New Front presentation recently, but Showtime wasn't mentioned strangely. Representatives on both sides refused to comment on the matter as of yet. View attachment: halo4-hero.jpg Would access of the Halo TV series become easier and more fluid for you if it was on Showtime? Add your feedback and discussion below, thanks for the read! Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC to come to Xbox First Activision's newest title in the Call of Duty franchise, Advanced Warfare, seems to already have exclusivity deals on the way with Microsoft and the Xbox. According to Xbox.com themselves, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC will come to Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms before Playstation and PC. This shouldn't count as a surprise, considering Call of Duty: Ghosts also had timed DLC for Xbox One and 360 platforms. The page reveals a wealth of other content as well, such as the name of the leader of this Private Corporation, called Atlas, the man's name is Jonathan Irons. View attachment: CoDAW.jpg Does this information dictate your decision as to whether you will purchase the game on Xbox or another platform? Let me know, be sure to debate below! Borderlands 2 Vita Edition Downgraded to 2 Player Only Co-op Borderlands 2 on PSVita was a highly hyped title, mainly due to the promise of a full open world game like Borderlands with four player cooperative play in the palm of your hands, unfortunately, this won't entirely be the case. On a blog on PlayStation.com, focusing on the testing of Borderlands 2 on the Vita, Justin Massongill, Sony's social media specialist, stated that the game was being downgraded even though they had aimed for four player parties. He said that "while they [sCEA] strived to include four-player co-op in the game, they made a decision late in their development cycle to focus on providing the best two-player-only co-op experience possible." This decision could impact the sales of the system's bundle with the game now, as many players mainly pre-ordered for the feature they had been promised. View attachment: borderlands2_review_massive_gamepage.jpg What's your take on this matter, will you still purchase the game on Vita, or do you have others reasons to avoid it? Discuss below, have a good day, and thanks for reading. That's your Wrap-Up everyone, and on time this week! 24. Sorry for the day of delay, I've been extremely busy, but now it's back, and will follow a Saturday cycle instead of Friday due to my inability to work on this during the weekdays. Now, this week we have again three major articles for your reading entertainment, enjoy! View attachment: WNW 42614.JPG E.T. On The Atari 2600 Dump Found in New Mexico The most infamously bad game of all time is arguably the E.T. Video Game on the Atari 2600 from 1982, which broke records with it's immense worldwide panning and reputation, enough to send millions of copies to alleged landfills in New Mexico. According to IGN.com, who was on the scene, these rumors are in fact true, and many copies of E.T., along with other Atari 2600 games that bombed in the sales department, are buried in a large landfill in Almagordo, New Mexico. The filmed documentary of the finding of these games will be released exclusively to Xbox One under Avengers Writer, Zak Penn. View attachment: AtariET.jpg What's your take on this news, and will you be watching the documentary when it launches on Xbox One? Let me know, thanks for reading! Gears of War on Xbox One Job Posting Listed on Microsoft's Website Since up and coming studio Black Tusk took over the Gears of War license, acquired from Epic Games by Microsoft, news has been slim on the new project, besides the confirmation of long-time Producer Rod Fergusson's work being done on the new project. On Microsoft-careers.com though, we have a job listing for a Senior Rendering Engineer for the project, requiring 7-8 years of experience in Video Game design, and 2-3 years of experience as a Senior Graphics Developer, and being able to work on two consoles. In the listing, they even include the Xbox 360 and PS3 as examples, leading to the possibility of it being on the Xbox 360 as well as the One. View attachment: GearsOfWar.jpg Would you want the next Gears of War on Xbox 360 as well as Xbox One, or could it harm the game's development? Discuss below! Halo 5 Possibly Teased In Escalation #8 Halo Escalation has been incredibly popular in it's sales, especially with the release of Issue 7 and it's dealing with the scenarios after Halo Wars, so now fans may experience the latest in Halo 5 news by reading Escalation #8. According to TotalXbox.com, the site for OXM, Halo Escalation Issue 8 will follow the plot of Master Chief's departure from the Infinity and what leads up to Halo on Xbox One. A blurb teases, “The Master Chief returns in “The Next 72 Hours: Part 1″! After defeating the Didact, John-117 joined the crew of Infinity . . . but why did he leave? The mystery begins here.” Issue 8 releases on July 23rd, quite a while after the events of E3 2014. View attachment: HaloEscalationBox.jpg Are you planning on picking up Issue 8 now that this info was revealed, or are you holding off for theorists to figure it out? Let us know in the comments below, thanks for the read. Thanks indeed for reading this issue of the Weekly News Wrap-Up, I'll see you next time!
