  3. One of the most highly trotted out Microsoft exclusives releasing on the Xbox One, though not even being exclusive or a launch title and by an up and coming developer formed by the people who 'developed' Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and broke off from the shell of a corporation these days Infinity Ward, Titanfall was supposed to save the Xbox One and set it ahead of the competition. Did it? Nope. Where did it go wrong? Well let's check it out below! I'd like to point out what I say above is all in relation to a marketing stance on the game, I find the actual content inside to be quite fun and am going to praise the game more and more as we get further, but before I do let me establish what I said above and why I say it. Titanfall did not save the Xbox One in any way, shape, or form and wouldn't have saved it if it tried. Why? Because not only is it on PC and Xbox 360, but it is a multiplayer only game that at launch extremely under delivered content wise but promised to improve later on, which it undoubtedly did. On top of that, why does the Xbox One need saving by a singular game anyway at this point in the 'Console Race'? It is year one having the console in the hands of consumers, naturally we're going to be thrown filler exclusive after filler exclusive to meet the mass demands while developers like Naughty Dog and 343 Industries work quietly in the background rushing their work so that it can meet the market, going as far as to rerelease old games. It's the first year, that's what you get for being an early adopter. Anyways, ranting done. How is the game itself? Titanfall is marvelous fun, it's a fantastic game with fantastic mechanics and it now has enough content where I can recommend it to you! First of all, this game is a twitch shooter at heart, it is Call of Duty mixed with parkour and mechs, it should be clear by now whether this is your style of game or not. Now I know comparing it to Call of Duty will inflame the masses but let me explain to you, it takes the elements Call of Duty brings that makes casuals keep coming back, and adds in an actual skill requirement and mechanics that keep gameplay fun and act as a sugar charge gluing you to the screen not wanting to move. It's sort of like those iOS games that glue you to the screen because it's so fun and rewards you each time you play, that's Titanfall, except totally different and new. Now, there is a learning curve for the Titans, I will admit that, but as a Pilot joyriding around from wall to wall is indefinitely more fun the first few times. The map design is great, though I wish more creativity was put in, as the maps are designed well, but lack anything memorable about them. The only map that stands out to me is Angel City, which is basically Lockout from Halo 2 with buildings and parkour areas and streets, it's nothing like lockout actually, I lied. Each map is still a ton of fun. Now, let's talk about the game's "storyline". A lot of people dislike it, honestly, I prefer the storyline campaign segments to regular matches for the simple reason of it's more interactive in a lot of ways. For example, in one mission as the IMC you get into these drop pods with OTHER TEAM MATES! It's so cool as you ride down and just slam into the ground and get right into the action. It's parts like this that make this game so sweet, but then, there's customization, which sends it back to a sad sour note. There's little variety, likely no more then 7 or 8 primary weapons and 4 or 5 secondary weapons which is sad, and only three titan models and randomized Pilot models, again, this feels lazy and saddens me. I do hope in the future they add customization to both of these, as it would make this game a ton more fun. The game has fair graphics, nothing too amazing like Killzone: Shadow Fall or Infamous: Second Son levels but they're fine, I'd put them just below Halo 4 level graphics. The visuals look a very drab and toned silver colour, which I would consider nonncreative but I like the style and tone, which is basically Borderlands' cartoony style except with all the colour drained out. I would enjoy if the next game had a more futuristic tone, but some environments looked utterly fantastic, like this view of a burning crimson sun you get in one of the campaign sequences. You see, I LOVED my time with Titanfall, it would be a masterpiece based on how fun it is alone, but sadly it misses a few marks so I can't give it a perfect rating. However, if Respawn Entertainment sees this, you guys have the talent, you need to work on your creativity though, hire a few more artists, try to have more breathtaking visual displays, make weapons and armor and ships a bit more colourful. You guys have a gold game here, and I cannot wait to see what Titanfall 2 brings to the table. I purchased the game at $20 and reviewed it on my Xbox One. If you're going to purchase it I recommend it be in the $30-20 range and you'll get a good value, but avoid the Collector's Edition and stick with standard. 9/10! Thank you very much for reading, I'll see you all next time!
  4. Titanfall Update 6 People who own Titanfall can set their eyes on the new update coming out soon! This will already be the sixth update that will be released for this game. And just like last time it will add some new content to play around with. One of the largest additions includes Pilot Skirmish. A gamemode long awaited by many that will get rid of all AI bots and Titans and will focus on Pilot vs Pilot combat. Another surprising feature of the new playlist will be that it contains 16 players (8v8) max instead of the original 12 (6v6). This increase of player count does however make it unable for it to be in the variety pack. The Update will also make Marked for Death, a gametype that has been added earlier in the game, a permanent playlist. The gamemode in which you must hunt down a specific player of the enemy team to earn point whilst defending a targeted teammate was so popular that Respawn Entertainment added it to the regular playlist. The playlist will also get it's own set of custom loadouts like every other one. Colourblind Pilot's can now play the game without trouble as well since there will now be a option to change the colours schemes of some key HUD elements for better visuals. The Black Market will now offer you some limited stock of Burn Cards that shifts on a timer. The rarities may vary, as do the prices. A new ultra-rare Burn Card called "Gambling is for Winners" will be added. This Burn Card let's you tap into your entire deck within a game. And finally, there will no longer be a penalty for players who join games late. If you join a game in which your team is losing and about half way done the loss will not be counted for your record, however if you manage to win it will be counted for your record. Win-win! Games quit early will still count as a loss! The list with minor bug fixes and tweaks will be linked in the sources. UPDATE: Respawn Entertainment has now set a release date for this update. Surprisingly, it comes out 9-3-14. Which is tomorrow! So get ready for titanfall! Are you looking forward to these new additions? Let us know down below! Thank you for reading! 6. It's a bit later in the day then when I'd usually write the wrap-up, sorry, had a buddy over through the night and got very little sleep so I slept during the day. Anyways, let's get on to the wrap-up! In the aftermath of all the gamescom announcements we have some exciting news so stick around! New content, timed exclusives, and more! View attachment: WNW 81614.JPG Tomb Raider 2 is a Timed Exclusive Says Phil Spencer The most controversial announcement from Gamescom was without a doubt the announcement of Tomb Raider's exclusivity on Xbox One, with many flipping out and taking to their blogs and YouTube Comments Section areas to rage at Microsoft and Square Enix, some even going as far as sending death threats to Lara's voice actress and Microsoft as a whole. Eurogamer.com reports that these angry people can ease up, as the game is only timed and will come to PS4 and PC eventually. In an interview with Eurogamer, Phil Spencer said, "I didn't buy the IP. I didn't buy the studio. It's not mine. Where this thing will go over time, just like Dead Rising or Ryse, we'll see what happens with the game. I don't own every iteration of Tomb Raider." He shared his sympathy with people on other platforms, understanding how they would feel alienated from a long-time franchise suddenly moving. He does confirm however that he doesn't own Tomb Raider as an IP, and once the deal is over he doesn't know where it could go. Note: For the love of god don't read the comments section to this article, you'll lose a metric ton of brain cells. View attachment: rise_of_the_tomb_raider_2015_game-wide.jpg What's your take on Tomb Raider being a timed exclusive to Xbox, should it be a full on exclusive or is sharing it with the rest of the community the right thing to do? Debate below! Destiny DLC Leaked in 2013, Just Realized Now Something that might surprise you was in 2013 when Diablo 3: The Reaper of Souls was announced, the name 'The Dark Below' was brought up as a possible name for the expansion or something related to Diablo, turns out it was for Destiny, as we now know. GameInformer.com reports the story, also saying DLC was also trademarked before a World of Warcraft DLC, linking it to World of Warcraft as well. Activision handled the situation well, not getting involved, as it would've likely tipped off the fact it was Destiny. Theories included the name of a new World of Warcraft game and possibly a new Blizzard IP. The Dark Below was officially announced when the Ghost Edition, Limited Edition, and Digital Guardian editions of the game were announced, and it was confirmed at Gamescom it would launch in late 2014. View attachment: wallpaper_destiny_15_1366x768_by_sinfulndelicious-d770ms3.jpg What do you think of the fact that something so wrapped in shadow and essential to Destiny was leaked so early in it's development? Please do discuss it below! Titanfall: IMC Rising DLC Announced We started this series off with the first Titanfall DLC, then continued recently with the second, and it seems we're now ending the Titanfall DLC trilogy with the final add-on announcement! Titanfall.com officially announced the DLC to the rest of the world, it first being revealed at Gamescom this year. The DLC contains what each DLC before it has, 3 maps, Backwater, Zone 18, and Sandtrap, details on each scant. It will run you $9.99 or $24.99 for the season pass to get all three for a value. A release date has not been announced yet, though I would estimate the DLC should launch sometime in October or late September at the earliest. This DLC pack and Frontier's Edge (the last one) seem to have an increased focus on the IMC rather than the Militia, as the only DLC pack to showcase the Militia on the cover was Expedition. This could be a hint at the direction of future titles, possibly IMC winning the war? View attachment: Titanfall-DLC3-Key-Art-Hor-wLogo.jpg Do you own the Season Pass and are you picking up this DLC? 8. Let's play pretend! Let's pretend it isn't the middle of the week! Let's pretend I haven't missed two weeks! Let's pretend I still have my job on staff and aren't just pretending myself to stay sane hahahahaha... But I'm still in my job, of course I am, DON'T TELL ME OTHERWISE. Anyways, we've got three great articles this week, and I'd like to send a shoutout to my good friend Bnus to go check out the latest TGFW event happening, and this month's MoM Vigilant Intellect, keep on rocking bud! Now, let's begin! View attachment: WNW 70914.JPG Driveclub PlayStation 4 Bundle Announced One of the most anticipated games of 2013 at the launch of the PS4, however people were put in despair when this racing game along with Watch_Dogs were delayed until 2014, then experiencing another delay from this summer to later in Fall 2014. IGN.com reports that Sony recently revealed a revival of an older bundle with the game and it's console. The bundle includes the console in it's standard colours, a DualShock 4 controller in it's standard colour, and Driveclub's full version, not the free PlayStation Plus version which was announced to have microtransactions and restrictions. The bundle is €439.99 in Europe, and the North American bundle has yet to be confirmed, though it likely exists and will likely be priced at around $459.99 USD give or take. Driveclub releases this Fall exclusively on PlayStation 4 for $59.99 USD. View attachment: driveclubpic.jpg Are you picking up the bundle, or do you not plan on buying a PlayStation 4 or the game itself? Be sure to tell me below! Titanfall: Frontier's Edge DLC Revealed Titanfall has surprisingly stayed a smash hit since it's massively hyped release back in March of 2014, with a DLC in May known as Expedition and countless updates after. It was recently announced on Titanfall.com that a new DLC, known as Frontier's Edge, will be releasing soon with three new maps contained in it. These maps are Dig Site, a mining operation, a small hub ingrained in the mountainside, Export, and a luxurious beach-head, Haven. All of these are available for $9.99, or the discount of $24.99 with the Season Pass, which comes with Expedition, Frontier's Edge, and a third unannounced pack. The release date for the pack is not yet known, but if I were to guess, I'd estimate it around late July or early August like the Expedition pack in late May after a late March announcement. Titanfall and it's DLC are available on the Xbox 360, PC, and Xbox One. View attachment: TFDLC2.jpg What do you think of this new pack, is there a need for more content and more variety, or does this satisfy you? Debate below! Project Spark gets retail Xbox One version; Release Date announced Project Spark was announced at E3 in 2013 as a Microsoft platform exclusive, since receiving many updates and a currently running beta. Polygon.com reports that the game now has a confirmed release date, October 7th in the American territories, and October 10th in Europe, with Asia-Pacific copies releasing on the 9th. A version available for store purchase, the Project Spark Starter Pack will be available for Xbox One only, but it's content can be downloaded digitally on Windows 8 and Xbox One, no word on the Xbox 360. The pack includes 2 feature packs, a new character, and the first entry to an episodic action/adventure series planned in the game. Looking at all this information, it seems the Xbox 360 version and the Windows 8 versions have been getting little attention by the developers, Team Dakota, compared to the Xbox One version. View attachment: Project_Spark_Zombie.jpg Are you picking Project Spark up? Via digital download or physical? Discuss below! What did you think on all that news? Let me know below, thank you very much for reading, have a safe and pleasant day, and I'll see you this Saturday on the next Weekly News Wrap-Up. P.S. Attend my event! 10. Hello everyone and welcome to this week's issue of the Weekly News Wrap-Up! I'm your host Edward Kenway and tonight we have some awesome games for you! Let's check them out! View attachment: WNW 62114.JPG Halo: Broken Circle Announced Halo's novel have given the community a deeper and more meaningful insight into the events that occur in the main story. One of the most infamous of these, the splitting of the Covenant by the end of Halo 2, is getting a novel adaptation according to HaloWaypoint.com called Halo: Broken Circle. It will be written by John Shirley and release November 4th, 2014. The story will center around an Elite Splinter Group fighting back, as well as the story of an honest and true Prophet stuck in a dangerous situation. The cover shows three Elite ships (notice the green lighting and powering, not blue like normal Covenant ships) and what looks like a destroyed shield world of sorts. Since the Arbiter has been announced to hold a place in terminals, this could be a sort of side-story concurrent to the main one. View attachment: halo-broken-circle-novel-404e843a32b245f2a5a41500c9fe4801.jpg Are you going to be picking up Halo: Broken Circle and does it interest you? Let me know below! Titanfall Available for Free for 48 Hours on PC Titanfall, Respawn's hit multiplayer title exclusive to Microsoft platforms, is going to be available for free for 48 hours on the PC only. This deal comes to us from Origin as one of their new goodwill projects, Origin.com says. The project is called 'Game Time' and while no information has been released on what products will be available next, we can likely expect larger titles like Battlefield 4 or Mirror's Edge to hold a place in it. If you decide to purchase Titanfall after your trial is up, your progress in-game will be saved so long as you're on your account. EA has stated that this is just beginning today, so it isn't available in every country yet, but will be soon. The time starts when you begin playing and ends after 48 hours, meaning that as soon as you activate the game, the clock ticks down, even when you yourself aren't playing. View attachment: Titanfall_wallpaper2560x1440.jpg Are you going to be picking up Titanfall with this deal if you haven't already? Debate below! Destiny's Exclusive Content Only Lasts until Fall 2015 Destiny has a hefty load of fresh content coming to PS4 on day one like the Monte Carlo assault rifle, Hawkmoon handgun, new ships and armor, and an exclusive Strike and Competitive map. According to Polygon.com, an Amazon listing (now edited) showed off in it's detailings for the PS4 version the content and stated that it would only be available until Fall 2015. It seems odd that it would be such a short period of time considering how heavily all this content is being pushed on the PlayStation 4. If this amazon listing is to be trusted, Xbox owners can expect to get their hands on the exclusive content (likely) between September and November 2015. View attachment: E3_warlock_desktop.jpg Are you irritated that the exclusive content is only available on PS4 for a limited time, or are you yourself a PS4 owner and happy with the decision? 11. 12. Tom Clancy's the Division has been delayed untill at least 2015 This is was Ubisoft stated earlier. The Developers want to work on the game a little longer to give you the best experience. They said: "Working on The Division is for Massive, Reflection and red Storm Entertainment a huge chance we only get once in a lifetime. We are very proud and do not want to lack on quality. That's why we will release this game when it's done." They will be showcasing the game during E3. So let's see what they've got to by then. In the meantime we can feast our eyes upon a few screenshots. Now for some Far Cry 4 AllGamesBeta has released some evironmental images on their Twitter page. They don't show very much gameplay wise but they do show that we'll be spending a lot of time in the mountains. Here they are: Far Cry 4 is scheduled to release on the 20th of November. Next up is the first Titanfall DLC The Titanfall Expedition map pack launches today for the PC and Xbox One, Xbox 360 had to wait a little bit longer. The pack contains three new maps called Runoff, Swampland and War games. Here's a trailer showing every map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm7EAVSt8yA As always leave thoughts and comments below! 13. Yes, this WNW has been done since 10pm, I have been waiting for it to turn to Saturday on EST, if you're reading this and it isn't Saturday for you yet, that's why. I was eager to get this one up, so without further ado here's your three articles in one, the fourth issue of the Weekly News Wrap-Up! View attachment: WNW 51014.JPG The Elder Scrolls Online Delayed on Consoles Zenimax and Bethesda's newest issue in the Elder Scrolls series, a push into the new frontier of MMOs for the franchise, The Elder Scrolls Online, is apparently going to be delayed on the next generation, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to the official Elder Scrolls site, ElderScrollsOnline.com, the Xbox One and PS4 versions were delayed due to Zenimax's vie to deliver an experience worthy of Elder Scrolls on the consoles, as well as issues on the PC version making dents in the development. As well, an agreement was worked out with Microsoft and Sony to allow players to access the game on PC first, and for $20 more, upgrade to PS4 or Xbox One later on when the versions release. An added bonus to this deal is an extra 30 days for free, though the forced $15 fee to unlock the rest of the free months is still a snag unto the offer. View attachment: ESO1.jpg Has this impacted your decision to buy the game positively or negatively? Will you take part in the transfer deal for PC to Next Generation? Let me know below, and be sure to leave feedback! Halo 5 Accidentally Teased in Xbox One Trailer The next generation Halo has apparently been teased enticingly in a recent Xbox One trailer, showing some rather important information. On Xbox's official account, a new teaser for the hardware and UI called "Show" revealed a player under the name 'Pit Bear' playing what is labeled as the next Halo, on Haven in a game of Infinity Slayer. While HaloWaypoint did comment saying that this was placeholder information, it's still interesting to spot out, and could confirm the return of these fan-favorite game modes and maps. View attachment: halo_5_trailer.jpg What do you think of this information, are you enticed, and do you want it to return? Comment and be sure to discuss, thanks for reading! Titanfall Hinted at for PlayStation 4 A well known leaker named Tidux on Twitter.com says that Titanfall is in the works for PS4 and could release soon. Now, what makes Tidux somewhat credible is that he recently leaked the PlayStation 1.70 update, which turned out to be completely true. This rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, as the exclusivity agreement has not been confirmed to be null and void just yet. Evidence does hint at a future sequel on the system, but as for the original, it's all speculation until we get an official announcement, but this leak does hint at some interesting things. View attachment: Titanfall_wallpaper2560x1440.jpg How do you take this, would you like to see Titanfall on PS4? Debate civilly below, I hope you enjoyed the article! 15. Welcome, below is the first reincarnation of the Weekly News Wrap-up, for those who do not know, the WNW was originally done in the News Group but around 2013 it seemed to stop production, I have decided to reincarnate it in my own format, several articles meshed into one long piece, as the several might not have been able to stand on their own, or it could serve as an easier method of keeping up to date all around the gaming world, rather then just the huge highlights. These will resume next Friday and will run week-by-week on each Friday unless an issue is brought up, which will be highlighted to readers via notification so they are aware of the delay. Now let's get reading! View attachment: WNW 41714.JPG PlayStation 4 Sales Surpass 7 Million Units The Sony PlayStation 4 has been incredibly successful in the coming months of it's launch. Titles like Infamous: Second Son and Killzone: Shadow Fall have enticed players from multiple platforms to purchase a PS4 and get their fill of next generation gameplay there. On April 16th, on PlayStation's Blog at PlayStation.com, Sony's Social Media Manager Sid Shuman announced that the PlayStation 4 had surpassed the 7 Million unit mark. The mark was apparently reached April 6th, 2014 and yesterday it was massively surpassed, making a huge mark for the company and for the console itself. Sid also hinted at new software updates for the PlayStation 4 to be released soon which turned out to be 1.70 increasing share features. View attachment: playstation_4_logo_2.jpg What's your take on this? Is the revenue well deserved, and has your experience with the console (if you own it) been satisfactory? Leave your thoughts below! Titanfall: Expedition Downloadable Content Coming in May Respawn Entertainment's crown jewel, Titanfall, has received quite the positive feedback without countless perfect scores from credible outlets, but, it's publisher Electronic Arts has a habit of leaving games unfinished and releasing the cut parts as Paid DLC. That seems to be the case today, as on Titanfall.com, it was revealed that Titanfall is getting a new DLC next month, only at it's highest two months from the main game's launch, containing features that do in-fact seem to have been cut from the main game. It contains just three new maps, with later updates including features like Titan customization and Private Lobbies, all features that would have been possible to add in the main game and likely were planned to be added for free. It is priced at $9.99, or alternatively you may purchase the Season Pass getting all of the packs for a discount. View attachment: TitanfallExpeditionArtB.png Are you annoyed by this, or is it acceptable and are you purchasing the DLC considering it's rushed nature and barebones content for it's price? Let me know below! Civilization: Beyond Earth Announced Sid Meier's next new Civilization title has been announced, hailing to the days of Alpha Centuri. The game is called Civilization: Beyond Earth and was announced mainly on the official Civilization channel in a teaser, it will follow you expanding to another planet, while doing what a Civilization game does best, turn-based strategy. It's all very exciting detailing but aside from that 2K and Firaxis Games have been slim on the details for the game, and as for the possibility of it coming to Next Generation consoles, we're unsure. It is however confirmed for PC, and that will likely be where it is limited to. 17. Electronic Arts has confirmed that there will not be a digital download of Titanfall for the Xbox 360, as it "simply did not represent the true Titanfall experience.” Titanfall recently launched after nearly a month's worth of delay on the Xbox 360 to critical success, like that of it's Xbox One and PC counterparts, both of which sold much better due to Digital Releases. However, EA's own website confirmed that the 360 version would not experience the same method of purchase. EA.com has stated it's reasoning for such actions, saying that it was considered, but after they felt that it "should have never been offered." They also stated that they, "hope players understand this decision was all about quality and making sure you get the best Titanfall experience." Considering some can only afford to buy it over Games on Demand, this could be a deal-breaker for potential customers, and is likely a shot in the foot on EA's part, though an understandable decision. View attachment: titanfallbattle.jpg This news is definitely some hard news to take in, especially if you are looking to get the Xbox 360 version and can't access a local game store, or simply prefer digital downloads. 20. The launch of TitanFall on the Xbox 360 will undergo a two-week delay. The launch of TitanFall for the Xbox 360 will be a two-week long delay, as revealed by a blog post on EA's official website, the game will now be released on April 8th (April 11, if you're in the UK.) The reason for this delay is simply because Bluepoint studios needs a little more time to "deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players." This delay may bring a bit of disappointment to those anxious to play Respawn's new FPS, but you can be sure its in the best interest of the community. (I'm sure no one at EA or Bluepoint wants to have a repeat of Battlefield 4's release problems) So what do you think, how much can this delay benefit TitanFall's release on Xbox 360? 22. Titanfall... Only a short time away. Yet with the beta out in public for the last several weeks, we get an insider look at what may become the next hit series in gaming. Gameplay appearing and mentioned as CoD-like in mechanics, with the addition of "Titans", mechs if you will, utilized by players when earned to combat the opposing team's artillery and tactics. As of late, many, many people praise the title, seeing at as a revolutionary game, and a tad different than what we are used to, especially those who anticipate it to kill the Call of Duty franchise in its rise through the ranks of numerous other names in gaming... Though it is highly unlikely. Few bugs may exist in game, but aside from that, the controls and gameplay is flawless, very enjoyable as I hear people dub it as "the most fun they've had in a long time". Titanfall 2 may come to the PS4 console. PS3 will never see the time of day. Sony attempted to claim right to the Titanfall series but failed. Titanfall is a Microsoft exclusive whereas they are trying to procure exclusive DLC for Xbox one. Sony has spoken up clarifying that there hardware has a significant advantage over the Xbox One system, as the game quality shows a performance gap between the would be Titanfall on the PS4 as compared to Xbox One. The performance gap rivals that of Call of Duty: Ghost on both consoles. Here is a source showing the performance gap between the consoles for CoD:Ghosts- http://www.hardwarepal.com/cod-ghosts-runs-720p-xbox-one/ It’s important to notice that this isn’t a hardware performance differentiation but more of a compatibility optimization. While Titanfall will be adding monster dlc sometime soon we shouldn’t expect more titans. Apparently, balancing titan’s abilities proves to be a difficult task. If they care so much about balance I wonder what other aspect of the game have been given such loving care. For now all we get in the way of monster is some sort of huge brachiosaurus lingering in the background. I think I’ll name it ‘Fred’. Here is a recent link: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/14/titanfall-dev-talks-new-titans-narrative-and-monster-dlc I think Titanfall will live up to expectations. It just remains to be seen how long it will hold it’s appeal. I want it to succeed. Because, I think it is such a unique game. Credit: Delpen9, Sparky, Fox McCloud
  23. Hello all, I had not much to do so I decided to review the new game I just got. I recently recieved Titanfall in my mailbox and didn't hesitate to eject my former only game for the Xbox One (Bf4) and insert Titanfall. After watching some Youtube video's while it was installing, I really love the multi tasking on this console, I could finally boot up the game. After some general pressing start and A procedures I was finally able to get into the game. I really liked how they set up the tutorial but after 10 stations it was getting kinda boring and the Hammond industries (I belive that's the name) logo appearing after each station was a bit useless. After that was done I could finally play some myself. I launched the campaign and was really surprised to see that it was a multiplayer campaign! I was amazed by how they combined multiplayer gameplay with a campaign story line. Although I still don't know how the side your playing against views this campaign story. You really get immersed into the game. And the AI grunts and other troops make it look like a real battlefield. Although it's a bit weird how the AI decides to crouch down in the open and fire in the general direction of the enemy basicly painting a gaint bulls-eye on their heads. Lost a few matches in there, but hey I'm new to this. I decided to check out the regular multiplayer so I was able to decide what game mode to play. I went with the regular TDM like gametype. After some time playing I noticed how quickly you are able to obtain a Titan, and how easy it is to lose it again . My first Titan didn't last longer than 30 seconds as it was instantly crushed by two enemy titans and a Pilot who was riding me like a little piggy. After I got used to the game some more I was really able to defeat enemy titans and even achieve some awesome streaks and multi kills, which also invoke funny or witty comments from the officer talking through your HUD. And seeing enemies try to flee to their evac and seeing them get shot out of the air while they 'try' to escape really brought a smile to my face. Overall I really really enjoy this game. A fast pased FPS with gaint mechs? What's not to like about that?! For now I give this game a 8.5/10 and I highly recommend picking this game up and if you do not own the Xbox One yet buy the bundle. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for reading through this massive wall of text. It is the first review I've ever written and I'd like to get some tips and tricks for future reviews. That's it, Good day to you all! Post EDIT: Thanks to Total Mayhem for the better lay-out!
  24. A recent slue of rumors and debates argued whether Titanfall would run at 1080p or not, today we have learned that Titanfall will be running at native 792p at Launch. Titanfall's grand launch on Xbox One and PC is fast approaching with the midnight release already happening in some places, so naturally, fans of the game wondered what the resolution would be, seeing as it is so late in the pre-release window. Today, it's been officially confirmed by lead engineer Richard Baker that Titanfall runs just short of 800p. Richard said that, "There was an issue with decals taking a lot more time than they should which we fixed for launch, The worst-case scenarios are better, I think. The average is probably about the same as the beta." Reports had already surfaced on sites like mp1st.com that the game would run at this level, but nearly no one could believe the rumor to be true, as they believed this would be the first hit exclusive to run at a full 1080p. View attachment: titanfall0617-610b.jpg This however, does not mean that this couldn't be rectified in a patch in the near future. In fact, it's likely that the game will be patched. Baker went on to say, "For day one it's not going to change. We're still looking at it for post-day one. We're likely to increase resolution after we ship." This could mean that a 1080p Titanfall will exist somewhat in the near future after a couple of patches. This is sad information for those who were expecting much higher resolutions from the game, but has this swayed your opinion on purchasing Titanfall for Xbox One?
