  1. So this is the return of the famous Hog Launch! Warthogs and explosives has been a huge thing since the release of Halo CE. Launching the hog as far as possible with a load of grenades has been fun in all of the Halo games. This map is all about team work, and to launch the hog as far as possible to gain the most points. This game is team based, so that the team who gets the most points in 15 minutes wins. It has been remade several times, and it went trough a lot of testing because of problems with the weight of the hogs. The hogs are much heavier in Halo 4, therefor it's much harder to land a good shot. Map: http://www.halowaypoint.com/de-de/players/desson1a/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=50ce295c-eacb-4702-a536-375697c93ced Gametype: http://www.halowaypoint.com/de-de/players/desson1a/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameSettings&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=bc8f75ef-6498-4389-b659-00f56142946f Let's move on to the map itself: The bases are symmetrical, so that no team has any advantage The hogs is the most important thing of the game. Each team has 2 launching pads, each numbered, with a hog and two fusion coils. These went through a lot of testing and changing, and I feel that these are as good as they can get. Part two are the bombs. Each team gets 8 fusion coils in addition to the bombs on the launching pads. Move them as you want. Don't be shy! They won't explode by getting pushed. You start with two loadouts: 1. Concussionrifle with 3 plasma grenades 2. Hammer with 2 plasma grenades. To get more variety into the weapon choice I have placed down these weapons. Both teams have these weapons. In addition to 2 hogs, both teams get a rocket hog. It respawns fast, so use it alot. The hog has been used alot during testing. It's up to you and your team to be as creative as you can and use it. These are the columns. Since there is no Halo Ball in Halo 4, I had to use KotH instead. You will get more points the longer you stay in the hill, which means that the further and higher you fly the more points you get. REMEBER: Everyone counts! That means that everyone in the hog earns points. The more players in the hog, the better! That means that these columns only are aesthetics and something you can use to compare youre launches. They are coloured in this order: -White -Cyan -blue -purple -red This was definitly one of our best shots. We got launched all the way to blue by only having one person on the hog, and on to launch. Red base Blue base Rules: Loadouts: 1. Concussionrifle, 3 plasma grenades 2. Hammer, 2 plasma grenades Weapons in base: -2 frags -2 sticky's -2 railguns -2 fule rod guns -1 rocket launcher Hogs: -2 chains -1 rocket Gameplay: -no point limit -15 minutes -2 teams, red and blue - 4-16 players (at least two players on each team) (works best with 6 players on each team) -12 bombs (apologize for my bad english.) piece out! feedback appreciated
  2. Jousting by Rabid MidgetMan Map link Gametype link player count: 4, 8, 12, 16 Introduction "What's that you say Rabid? A jousting map without any swords?! Have you gone absolutely mad?!" No good sir, you see they don't use swords in real life jousting either, do they? They use a thing called a lance (aka big stick), hence the name 'Sir Lancelot'. I happen to know Sir Lancelot and he approves of my jousting map. Why listen to him? Because he's good at jousting. How do I know? because if he wasn't he wouldn't 'Lance a lot'. Why? because being bad at jousting hurts. A LOT. Overview In this jousting map, you will find a much more realistic experience, wielding a shotgun rather than a sword gives a more natural range for the 'lance' . There are two teams, many mongooses and a long, straight track. The track is split by a divide (fence) down the middle, red team drives north and on the right whilst the blue team drives south on the left . As the 'horsemen' pass each other, the rider must take a shot at the opposing mongoose across the barrier. A teleporter at the end of the track leads back to the start, ensuring a smooth transition from one 'pass' to the next. A map wide teleporter stops players leaving the spawn area on foot or dismounting while in play. Gameplay The gametype is unlimited lives slayer with increased damage and other small differences. This is a very fun map to play with 3 of your friends (or rivals), but it also works well with 8,12, or 16 players. Plug in your mic and discuss attack plans with your team, just don't forget to cheer when you successfully strike down a challenger Rider: The pump action of your shotgun makes it critical that you time your shot correctly as a miss will leave you vulnerable to attack. It creates a similar feel to grifball, where you must make a compromise between hitting your opponent as soon as they enter your lethal range, but leaving it late enough that you don't waste your shot with a glancing blow. As such, this game takes a lot of precision, skill and practice to master. Driver: The map flows very well if you simply drive forward and stick close to the divide, shooting enemies as they pass. This playstyle is fairly easy, the only challenge being getting as close to the barrier without touching it (grazing the wall causes you to bounce away from it). But you are free to be creative, try different maneuvers like: swooping towards the barrier as an opponent passes, stopping, reversing, changing speeds, accelerating backwards, reversing forwards... Maybe even some dressage?! As the horse you are also responsible for staying as close to or far from friendly horsemen as you see fit. Summary 1) Being bad at jousting hurts-elot 2) Being good at jousting can get you a knighthood 3) Mechanical horses are much softer on the crotch 4) Please download the map + gametype and enjoy playing it!
  3. I believe in organization and coordinated attacks. I want to play with people at or above my skill level, and go over map positioning, map strategy, etc, AS A TEAM, so we're all on the same page. I want to participate in Clan Battles etc, and the ultimate goal of this is to become a better player. Holla at me... GT: TheatriXxX
  4. Hello everyone, As I am still fairly new to Halo 3, (and I just joined this seemingly-awesome community!) I am still inexperienced with callouts, and some of the map spawns. Members should be able to be online most days of the weeks, (3-4 days at least) and commit to becoming better players, and working together as a team. Anyways, if you are interested, let me know. Having Halo 3: ODST with all of the Halo 3 map packs is preferred, though not required (though it is needed for team Doubles, Big Team, etc). My gamertag is: "Zicorth". I live in Canada, with my timezone being EST, which is 3:54PM, at the moment of this post. I will be online for most of this week. See you in the field, Spartans! =)

  7. 4 Team SWAT CTF This game is a highly competitive, fast paced version of capture the flag. The map is completely symmetrical and in the shape of a large square. There are 4 teams of 2-4 and each team spawns on one side of the square. From there they can attack any other flag or defend their own. All guns are one hit kill headshots and the respawn is relatively slow. This leads to a very fast paced, all out attack style game. Played with a full lobby of 16 competitively it is an absolute blast. The gametype can be found here: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/5628c35f-e525-428b-9c3d-73cbbd85ba2e and the map can be found here: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/xander%20de%20gr8/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=c8d2931c-1598-47ea-beaf-93f98aeaaa40 The attached pictures give a good overview of the general layout of the map. If you ever want to play or talk to me about it. XBL GT: xander de gr8 I would love feedback, too! Thanks for taking a look!
  8. Chapter 1 Garria, 6:32 PM, 2542.(5 days after evac) Commander Reginna Kresky bent down and scooped up blood on the ground with her hand. The blood was about 11 minutes old, she grinded the pebbly dirt with her fist. There seemed to be a path of blood, small droplets, they led to a land of large bent and rusted pipes. Garria was falling fast, the sky grew darker, the heat from the covvie ships burning the planet was screwing with the spartan-III's HUDS, forming static and glitches. No one knew why the covvies were taking so long glassing the planet. ONI thought maybe they were looking for forerunner artifacts, or maybe something else.... Kresky turned her head to see a spartan shoot the last of the elites that ambushed them, shooting it's head, there were bodies everywhere.... The goal of the mission: a rescue mission, Kurt-051 had hope that they could find survivors, and train them to be the future spartan-IIIs. "Survivors could be hiding in those pipes, let's move, we don't have much time left." Kresky said. The soldiers scanned the area, their camo programmed in their SPI armor made them ghost in the harsh mini sandstorm. The SPI armor system they wore looked like a mixture of tank and marine armor, it was thick--but was kinda slender, to make the spartans move faster. The helmets had bulging wide visors that looked like fish tanks, the back and sides were armored however. This armor was designed to withstand plasma and bullets, in order to have a large army of spartans like these, the UNSC made cheaper armor then the SPARTAN-II mark IV. The blood spots got bigger....And bigger....And bigger....... "I think someone is injured, get the med kit ready." Kresky said. Kresky was on her third mission, and already she became one of the top soldiers, she became almost a legend. Not much is known about her life as a kid, she has forgotten for unknown reasons. All everybody knew was she was born on a planet called Shu'veha. Even with his glitchy motion tracker, a spartan got a few contacts. "Ma'am...."He said. "Move it." Kresky replied, examining a pipe. Covenant ships could be seen from the spartan's position, their plasma beams glowed red, and blasted the dusty ground. Kresky looked around some more, and her eye caught something....Two life forms snuggling, they were clutched up in a pipe. She got closer, her team followed. The things were kids, no older then maybe 6, 7, or 8? One was a mid-brown skinned girl, and the other a smaller pale tan red headed girl, she was shivering. "Hello? Are you ok?" Kresky said, and got closer. The kids had many cuts and bruises, but the black one was unconscious, her blood spread everywhere. The other one looked like she had a broken arm, and they both looked dehydrated. "We need to take them now, move it." Kresky said. The medics gently took out the fragile beings, and forced them to drink water, the red headed one drank some, but the black one was unresponsive..... "Kresky to Echo 423, we have injured civvies and need extraction immediately." Kresky said. "Echo 423 to Kresky, we have your location and are coming to you, over." "Affirmative." 6 minutes passed.....The kids were getting worse. Kresky for the first time Kresky could see the red headed one was barely opening her eyes, they were bright green. Suddenly, as if it came from midair, a plasma grenade came down on Kresky's helmet. "TAKE IT OFF!!!!!!" A soldier said. Things seemed to go slowly as she took off the helmet, she dropped it and her and the others flied from the helmet. Blue plasma shot up, and blew away glass and dirt, the spartans covered the kids. Sangheili spec ops surrounded the area, and opened fire with their bulky plasma rifles. The spartans took cover behind pipes, their camo helped confuse the enemy. 20 enemies died, which resulted 10 dead spartans, 10 were left... Kresky heard the engine of the pelican, echo 423 was dodging plasma, and got closer to the team. Kresky signaled the team to go on. The spartans and kids were aboard, the pelican was taking plasma hits which resulted in a shaky cargo bay. Kresky and a few soldiers shot through the almost closed pelican, hoping to get a few last kills. The cargo bay was a little chaotic, bulky spartans made it kinda tight, and medics were trying to help the kids survive, they were supported by IV drips. "This one is almost out...." said a medic speaking to Kresky, he pointed at the brown skinned girl almost motionless....."I don't know about this one commander........" Kresky took one last look at the kids. The red head was breathing very slowly.....Not saying a word....No one spoke, everyone's attention was on the two girls... "Hang in there......" She said as she rubbed their heads. She sat down, and clutched her hands in frustration, she sighed in emotion, the kids were on her mind... She waited till the long trip to Onyx was over.
  9. We are the SPARTANS AT WAR the freshest fu$#ing clan on HALO 4. Were a mix of casual and competitive players but no matter what we always play hard and play to WIN. How to get in: message GainGreen42o or pkbounty on xblive. We will give you a rundown of the clan there.
  10. I've been playing these objective gametypes by myself too much and I feel to start a group. It could be as much as it needs to and if you play extraction and/or dominion most of the time, send me a message on xbox saying that you would like to join this so called group. We don't have to be a well-oiled machine but it is mainly for fun so you don't play alone if people from this group is on. It would be nice if you did have a mic to talk it doesn't have to be all callouts it could be all casual and it will be for wins. Again if you would like to join just send me a message via xbox. DO NOT SEND ME A FRIEND REQUEST BEFORE THE MESSAGE. I don't know you guys yet so send me one after the message so I know why you are sending me it. If this truly works out then I'll plan to make this bigger and better.
  11. United We Play is a FAMILY-FRIENDLY, FUN, XBOX 360 NON-COMPETITIVE, multi-gaming shooter clan that has a strong close family-community. The games we play are MP and 4 Player Co-Op shooters that actually involve and encourage team communication, team game play and overall team work; therefore, trying to create a sense of belonging and camaraderie among UWP Members and everyone is having fun…all very important part of United We Play . We play many different games like Halo 4, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Far Cry 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Mass Effect 3, Black Ops 2 Zombies and Left For Dead 2. United We Play is not about skill, winning or losing or kill/death ratios. Simply put we play for the fun, camaraderie and the love of gaming…since it is just a game. So if you are not the most skilled player that is fine with us…since skill is not a Requirement to join United We Play (UWP), and we do not have clan tryouts and we do not ask you to change your XBL Gamertag. We do have skilled UWP Members but let’s face it a non-competitive gaming clan is about the friendliness, integrity, respect and commitment of its members not the skill. United We Play is a place where UWP Members know each other, have a fun time, have a sense of belonging in a fun gaming clan environment. A fun gaming clan environment that is sociable, safe, respectful, relaxed and stress free of: getting the highest kill/death ratios, pressure of winning, judging gamers skill levels, trash-talking, potty mouths, bullying, spawn camping, and cheating. Our UWP Members are fun guys who have a passion for gaming and for United We Play , and are always on the lookout for good UWP Members who are friendly, respectful, reliable, and have good sportsmanship; and who want to belong to a gaming clan that offers something different If interested, please check us out at www.unitedweplay-uwp.org
  12. Sword Base is one of those maps that people seem to either love, or hate with a fiery passion. I would put myself in the former category. I personally have very fond memories of Swat (and even Infection) on Sword Base. Did the combat seem to centralize in one corner of the map? Yes. But just because everybody else is there doesn't mean you can't pull a roundabout tactic to catch them off guard! You could call a typical match on Sword Base one of "Occupy and Defend", which for some like myself can be quite a lot of fun! A word of advice: If you know their in the "lift room", for heaven's sake, don't go up the lift. Gamertag: KarmaPolice07 Map Name: Claymore Gametypes: Currenly only Team Slayer/Swat (up to 5v5) and FFA (Also: Fruity & Frosted) Description: Version 1.5 "After proving its resilience on Reach, this design has been used for several ONI bases across the known galaxy." Claymore is a painstakingly orchestrated re-creation of Halo: Reach Sword Base. On November 8th, 2012 I started this project by taking a few specific measurements in the original Sword Base using Hill Markers. I chose Hill Markers because they have invisible boundaries that can be manipulated in the same measurement scale and degrees as all forgable objects. With this data I began construction in Halo 4 and chose to make estimations and extrapolations to finish construction. Over the past few months I have made tweeks and adjustments to this map for the sake of accuracy and efficient use of Forge budget. I even broke the lighting engine at one point! I was able to resolve the issue and lighting now works properly. In this process I have continued to examine the original map to ensure the closest possible accuracy in recreation. I have now reached a point where I am prepared to display Claymore for public access and feedback. This is Version 1.5 - What I consider to be the beta. The map is complete in its basic form. All structure pieces are in place as well as all requirements for Slayer gametypes. However, there are areas that are still not up to par in terms of closest accuracy. These are listed below, under the heading "Known Issues & Future Updates". Weapons: At the time of this writing, weapons and their placement on the map are identical to Reach with the appropriate substitutions (Needle Rifle is now Carbine, Plasma Repeater is now Storm Rifle, Grenade Launcher now Sticky Detonator). However, because of the differences in the way some weapons perform (*cough*NEEDLER) I will be reorganizing the weapon placements and possibly the selection of weapons in a future version. Gametype details: -10 player maximum -Red and Blue team Spawns for up to 5v5 -FFA spawns throughout the map Known Issues & Future Updates: -Most notably, the glass floor in the top "red" room is now opaque. All glass options I've attempted so far have a negative effect player mobility. -The room with the Sword is a little out of scale -Lower right side room (the one on the same level as the bottom of the yellow lift, where there's a "briefing" area) is in need of reconstruction and is currently the least accurate room in the building. -Gametypes I plan to add in the future are: KotH, Oddball, & Flood Because of real life I am only able to work on improving this map about once a week. My top priority in this project is accuracy in construction. I welcome and greatly appreciate any and all feedback you can offer! See you on Infinity!
  13. If you’ve read any of the Halo books, keep reading. If you haven’t, stop reading, go buy all of them, read them, then come back. Or keep reading. First off. Contact Harvest: The beginning of the Human-Covenant War. SPOILERS TO HALO 3 AHEAD WARNING WARNING The book follows Staff Sargent Avery Johnson, and I don’t need to tell you guys who that is… r.i.p. It starts with the UNSC struggle against the Insurrection, but Johnson soon encounters the covenant. I think it would be a good game, and we’ve all wanted to play as Sargent Johnson. It would be a neat game, and yeah, a lot of people might not like it, but a lot of people like me would. It would reveal a lot of the story to people who didn’t read the amazing books. Next off, Halo: The Fall of Reach. The title speaks for itself. Everyone knows about noble team, and SPARTAN B312, but what about FREDERICK-104? Master Chief regretted thinking sending blue team down to Reach, thinking it was the easy task, but if you’ve read Halo: First Strike, you’ll find that all was not lost and glassed. Frederick, Grace, Lee, Kelly, and this other guy survived. The reason they weren’t glassed, is because the mountain where the Spartans were trained is host to a forerunner space-time warping crystal. The covenants are after it, and it would be great to play as Fred. The game would start out when Master Chief deploys blue team down to the surface of Reach. The Pelican in the books was severely injured, forcing all the Spartans to jump out. With 4 KIAs, the rest of blue team goes on to protect Reach. This would be an interesting game, I think. As long as it’s not like Halo: Reach, and you actually follow the plot of the books, all the way from the pelican drop to the destruction of the Unyielding Hierophant, it would be a spectacular game. I hope 343i looks into this. It would be really cool.

  15. It seems like 343i didn't want to deal with betrayals so much, but I really hate the new system of no-team damage. I can't count the number of times I've snuck up on a pair of the enemy and been about to get a double-kill or triple-kill, then some banshee or tank just fires. And somehow, what should result in a double or triple betrayal, is just killing me. It's just wrong that they can fire indiscriminately and kill enemies without harming their team-mates in the slightest. It's not just vehicles, either. People do it with rocket-launchers and sticky detonators, too. I've seen people put stickies on their own guys, and when someone assassinates they blow the sticky. They get a showstopper, and for what? Not skill, but exploiting a loophole in the new betrayal and team-damage system. And then on the other hand, I get run over by team-mates in warthogs or ghosts, because they want my ordnance drop I just picked up. Do I EVER get the option to boot them? Of course not--it literally hasn't given me that choice once. How is that fair? I've been doing good, I get an ordnance sniper, and BAM! Nope, Chuck Testa, it's his! In some ways, this system of betrayal is better, because in Reach the problem was getting betrayed in the first 10 seconds, or getting shot up, but not killed so that you were always an easy kill for the enemy. Seriously, they can monitor well enough to tell when someone is boosting, but they can't write a program that tells them there are jerks ruining games in the first ten seconds, when there's not an enemy in sight? What are your thoughts on the new team-damage/betrayal system? Like? Dislike? Hate the unliving guts of?
  16. I really want to get my win / loss ratio up, but lately that has become quite near impossible. Every game I join it is in progress and we lose tremendously. I have to go positive at least 20 kills just to barely win. My teamates are always mic-less and just run in the middle and die. Is it something 343 has added recently? No one ever really wants to play Halo 4. What I want to know is, is anyone else having this problem? Also, I don't want to play Regicide because I don't think I would win that much, and Flood just isn't fun anymore.

  22. Hello I am LSG Saint real name Alex. I am part of a new community Legion of Shadows Gaming with only 7 members right now and others ready to join with ambitions to make it pro or help our people get there if we can’t. Our community is extremely structured with a system based off the military to keep it organized. We compete on multiple websites and are currently getting ready for our first boot camp or team building (what I think of it) to get our first possible team together and ready to compete. We are looking for mature gamers only that are 18+ or if they are 17 maybe. We are big with communication both in game and real life. We in LSG aren’t just game friends. Over the past year we have built friendships even if we are in different states. Me personally you can’t find that in other communities. If this is something that you want from a team, clan, or community visit us at legionofshadowsgaming.com and apply or send a message to LSG SAINT, LSG SUPREME, or LSG Immortal if you want to talk. “Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.”
  23. Hey I know there are a lot of clans out there looking to recruit, but a lot of people (myself included) like smaller clans that have more of a tight knit community where everyone knows each other and you are able to play freely. So I thought i would make a Topic where people could post their gamer tags or post recruitment opportunities so people with a love of the game and gererally smaller clans can come together and Just play Halo. 24. Looking for a Easy going Competitive Clan that mostly plays CTF, Dominion, Grif Ball with the potential of competing professionally!
  25. Hello all, I'm a 'casual' gamer who enjoys playing team based modes. Most of my RL friends have given up this FPS lark so I'm often playing solo or wishing I was when teamed up with tweenies with mics. If there's anyone else who plays UK evening time who'd like to party up and grab flags, fondle balls etc then let me know. I'm pretty easy going however the ability to put together a sentence including real words would be a welcome novelty.
