  1. Okay, so i saw the *cough* heavily disguised forge pieces in spartan ops, notably the latest season, where they're using actual multiplayer maps, and that sparked the idea for me, how would actual player forge work with it? spawning: -Specific spawn points for phantoms if you can use them, probably a specific piece... -different teams could act as different enemy classes (i counted, theres 7 different classes) --the enemies could be specified in their individual classes, using their game type tool... (ex: elite generals, jackal rangers, imperial grunts, etc...) -different objective are fairly easy, and for specific enemy spawns, you could use the objective tool again... -i think you sorta get the gist... the only problem i can foresee, although its not really of relevance, spartan ops wouldn't have a story on the forge side... upsides though, are seriously awesome. (also on a side note, this would probably be the first and best opportunity that 343i would have to have players create their own spartan ops, and possibly firefight maps....)
  2. Episode 3 has came out this week and i was fine playing the first 2 chapters, however i am unable to load or play chapters 3,4 and 5. Each time it starts, it brings me back to the title screen. Furthermore when i looked closely, it says that "Players failed to load content. A player may be missing downloadable content.". I have also notice some people experiencing the same problems as me but with different episodes or chapters in previous posts. I humbly ask anyone out there who can help us solve this problem, thanks.
  3. I'm SR53 stuck at 6249/18240XP after every game I play I don't receive any XP from matchmaking/spartan ops. Anyone else having this problem? It's extremely annoying and is discouraging me to play Halo 4.
  4. Hi, please post names or add my gamertag for help on spartan ops legendary play though i need to do episode two onwards and will do any anyone needs help with, you don't need a mic as long as you do the objective. Thanks. GT: Stampedez
  5. Hello everyone! My names Richy and just wanted to welcome any new people to the forum and or Halo 4. 6. Episode 4, Chapter 5 - Didacts gift has glitch. Second to last wave of enemy, A crawler droped through the pipes at the top of a ramp and it was stuck under the stairs. We finally fired a rocket down at the left corner of the pipes, top of the ramp and it died. Then the last wave of enemy finally spawned. Took us 10 min and $4000.00 of UNSC ammo to kill it lol
  7. Hello, Basically: Can't play Episode 2, chapter 1 of spartan ops. I start the game and it goes to the loading screen for a few seconds before throwing me back to the start screen (Main menu, where you press start to begin). Any ideas why?
  8. From Friday (yesterday) until this morning (Saturday), I was playing with some friends. In Campaign mode, War Games and Spartan Ops. I started late yesterday, so I had no issues with the XP Cap until 11:30 PM or something like that. So I just wated for it to reset at 00:00. When it was resetted, I kept playing like before. Already at 2:00-2:30 AM this night I reached the XP Cap again (I believe it's around 75K Xp). Well, it's alright I guess. I'm not only playing for Xp, although it's nice to see progression except for kills and deaths. But then I noticed. I kept completing random challenges (different tiers), but after the matches was finished, there was no progression in my XP. This is ridiculous 343i! It's one thing to remove our ability to gain XP after a certain amount of playtime (75K +/- XP), but not letting us obtain the XP from Challenge Rewards... (facepalm ) I've completed alot of tier 3-4 challenges which would normally give me from 750xp to 2500xp per challenge, but I haven't gotten them. This also happened to me some days ago, but I just thought you'd get the XP Rewards afterwards, but no... Now I'm 2 games from the Weekly Challenge (117 War Games Completed). Knowing that I won't obtain the 17K XP from completing that Challenge makes me not want to play. 17K XP = 30 minutes of Spartan Ops (with a average team), or an hour with War Games. Seriously, think about it. Maybe fix it in the next Patch update? - Recon

  10. Hey just wondering if someone (hopefully from 343) could help me with my problem. I have completed every spartan ops mission solo on legendary difficulty to get the challege 'Episode of a Legend' and it's still saying that i haven't completed it and that I dont have that extra 3000 points from it. Just a little fustrating seen as I'm trying my best to 100% every challenge I get set, loving Halo 4 so far and I agree that 343 couldn't have done a better job.
  11. ive heard far too many people complaining about something about spartan ops that it is hard to believe that this mode is what it should be i dont care about the downloading, i dont care about online, i dont care about any of that... what i want to know right now is WILL SPARTAN OPS EVER BE AVAILABLE OFFLINE!? im sorry if this is played out so much but i cannot find the answer im looking for... to be specific: I LOVE HALO, I have gold and have played spartan ops and i love it. MY BROTHERS, whom love halo also are PS3 fans (maybe they were right all along) (online play is free after all) so they only play halo with me. THEY DO NOT AND WILL NEVER HAVE GOLD. DOES THIS MEAN THAT THE ONLY THING I AM ABLE TO PLAY WITH MY BROTHERS WITH IS CAMPAIGN? (if that is the case, give me firefight insted) i had really high hopes becasue playing the campaign is wonderful but playing firefight in REACH was one of the best times with my brothers. i want that back and i thought spartan ops would be it. i hope this is just an error on my part and i dont know the lay of the land enough to make this work but PLEASE TELL ME NOW ONCE AND FOR ALL IF I WILL EVER PLAY WITH MY BROTHERS FOR HOURS EVER AGAIN!

  13. Me an my friend just cleared The Spartan ops on Legendary but neither of us were rewarded with the 3000xp bonus, there is no solo tag so I am confused on what the issue is. We got the achievement for clearing it. We got the Challenge for Core just not all on Legendary even though we played thru all.
  14. So after completing the first 3 spartan op missions, I went to waypoint to type in the codes for the SPEC armor. The first three worked fine, but the 3rd one said that i hadnt completed the mission. I went back to complete the 3rd mission for the 2nd time, and went back to waypoint. Once again it said it i didnt complete it. I realllly want the helmet, so I went back to complete the 3rd mission for the 3rd time in 40 mins. I went back to waypoint and it finally said it was completed. I was so excited. I typed in the CORRECT code, and the very split second it lit up white (approval), the game froze. The middle button wouldnt show up when I pressed it. I turned the xbox off, and loaded waypoint again. It said I never completed the 3rd mission. Went back, completed the same mission again for the 4th time and went back to waypoint and it never said I completed it. So I said screw this and went to bed. The next day, I went to waypoint and it said it was completed. I typed in the correct code and it said it was incorrect. Did this 3 times over and it never said it was right......still, it will not work. (I know 100% that the code is correct) PLEASE help....what should I do about this? how do I get the helmet.
  15. If I were to miss a mission or chapter for the week, do I have the ability to go back and play it? If I were miss part of the "story" is there a way to catch myself back up on the plot of it, or am I up creek without a paddle? Just wondered, please respond. Thanks, Footballmac

  17. So I was reading a post containing a lot of Halo 4 info and there was something about a possibility of "Elite Ops" in Halo 4. It'd be nice to have as it could show some story from the Elite side of the UNSC. I don't know about you guys, but I'd like to see an Elite Ops sort of game. Full Post: http://343i.org/8i Possible Elite Ops Post: http://postimage.org/image/5keldgd6n/ Looks like Elite lovers might have some luck!
  18. I have noticed that there has been no sightings of: Easter Eggs(A fun addition for all halo fan alike) Glitches (HUGE part of the community) RvB References (Y U NO Add Footage?) Nostalgia (HUGE references to past games)\ First off, these make up an entire eighth of the Halo fans. Without all of this nostalgia, 343i Would not have the support they need. NOTE: This is subject to change. To prove how large the Glitching community is, go to http://www.cmneir.com/ . Sincerely,
  19. Info Found by: SykoWolf Thanks to Waypoint User Noble Squash for pointing this out. If you look at the 2:15 mark in the recent behind the scenes video, towards the bottom left you will see an unidentified creature. This creature looks very similar to a crawler, but is slimmer and much more dog like. This can also be seen in the E3 trailer, but I didn’t think much of it back then. Now compare this with the original crawler and the more heavily armored crawler spotted in Spartan Ops. Some believe that the wolf-like promethean is just another class of crawler which varies in its strength and tactics from other crawlers. Perhaps it is the fastest/weakest type of crawler, because instead of having a fully armored pincer head, it has an exposed smaller head. Just a thought, either way I think it looks awesome.
  20. i created this topic for any of the halo 4 preppers to look at and comment on. just a question, and wanted to know what you think
  21. Here is another video of a spartan ops mission this from THC's youtube channel i posted a video before of some one playing this mission but this quality is a lot better and better to see whats happening. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9jDOnLgnY4 View full article

  23. On forbes.com there is a new article on Spartan Op's with Frank O'Connor. Here is the article. For gamers, November 6 isn’t just Election Day. It’s the day when the Halo Nation get their collective hands on the long-awaited Xbox game, Halo 4. But gamers have even more to look forward to than the continuing adventures of the Master Chief and his ethereal AI sidekick, Cortana. 343 Industries will also be releasing the first segment of Spartan Ops, one of ten “episodic co-op adventures” (like a TV series but streamed via your Xbox). The episode sets the context for a gameplay mission. In other words, after you watch the episode, you can actually play it to continue the plot of the episode you’ve just seen. But you don’t just play one adventure per episode. You play five. According to 343 franchise development director Frank O’Connor, “Each week, we’ll introduce five [emphasis mine] 10 to 15-minute missions that continue the story of the UNSC Infinity.” That’s a whole lot of Covenant-killing action—and that’s in addition to Halo 4. (Spartan Ops is free with the purchase of the game, although Halo 4 will set you back $59.99 or $99.99 for the limited edition.) Even though Spartan Ops will be released the same day as Halo 4, Spartan Ops is actually a sequel to the main game. But rather than further the storyline of the Master Chief, the series will follow two Spartan squads, Crimson and Majestic. That way, Spartan Ops will keep spoilers to a minimum. O’Connor, however, offered tantalizing tidbits: “The story of the UNSC Infinity intersects with the Halo 4 campaign, but continues on through Spartan Ops after the events of Halo 4. The UNSC Infinity plays an important role in Master Chief’s adventure, and while Spartan Ops is separate from Halo 4’s campaign, don’t be surprised if you periodically cross paths with the Chief. “In the first episode, you’re going to find the Covenant is doing an archeological dig and has discovered an ancient artifact. You don’t know what it is, but the Covenant wants it, so that’s good enough for you.” The “you” O’Connor refers to is a Spartan supersoldier (either male or female, your choice) that you can personalize with “a new armor modification system that introduces gameplay-enhancing customizations for the first time in a Halo game.” As you progress through the game, you unlock more, presumably more awesome, gear. You can go it alone, but O’Connor said that single-player gameplay will be difficult. However, Spartan Ops supports “matchmaking,” that is, the game “will find you three other players at the same state of the series as you are, so you can play it together and hopefully make some new friends.” (And everybody needs friends who would kill for you, even virtually.) Will any familiar voice actors make an audial appearance? O’Connor said, “We have a couple of actors in the game we haven’t announced. It’s not a star vehicle, but there are great journeymen character actors in the series.” Sounds like a terrific way to introduce and develop the Halo storyline. Heck, it sounds like a terrific way to create a whole new form of entertainment and media delivery. But are these daily episodic missions really only fifteen minutes each? “The gameplay is as long as your friends are cooperating,” said O’Connor. View full article
