  1. Gamertag: T3NAC10US M (3,1, & 0, are numbers) Map name: Outpost: Icarus Gametypes: Slayer and KOTH The map is on my file share. Outpost: Icarus is a small semi-symmetrical map surrounding an open central area. There are two main "bases" where each team spawns to start the game. One base is almost entirely enclosed and features two long hallways for close-quarter combat. The two hallways lead to the central room with a station console that has a teleporter in the center, also the shot gun spawns in this room to aid in the close-quarter hallway combat. the teleporter takes you to the structure below the window in the middle room, giving that team quick access to the center of the map but also opens the center room up to intrusion. The second base consists of a three story tower with a sniper spawning on top. This base is alot smaller than the other base but it has easier acces to the central features of the map. The middle of the map has an initial sword spawn which is replaced by a random spawn afterwards that spawns either rockets, SAW, needler, or sticky detonator. There is a boltshot and a railgun also.

  3. Hi guys, we got a lot of interesting Forge maps circulating on the forums, and several topics devoted to getting people together to play-test them, but I would like to set up something a little more organized. I'm going to begin scheduling Game-Test Nights in an effort to give all us Forgers a chance to play our maps with full parties! For this first outing we will focusing on big team maps, so check out the details below: Game Night! Big-Team Battle / 8v8 Objective Map-Test Sunday Jan. 6th, 8 PM Eastern Standard Time To join, send a message to Gamertag "Rev Righteous" with the text "game night." You'll receive a friend invite in response. Have a big-team map you want tested? Post in this topic before Sunday night with the name of your map and the details of it. Get online at 8pm EST on Sunday Jan 6th (this Sunday) and look for the party Invite from Rev. Share your feedback for the maps in this topic! We aren't just playing, we're play-testing! Remember, the focus for this night is big team maps, so submit your maps and invite anyone you know so we can get a full lobby of 16 going. See you Sunday! Keep you eyes on the forum, as I hope to post future game nights on a regular basis. Game Night Map Submission - Broadside First up, I'm subbitmiting my own map for the night; check out this preview and submit yours to! Name: Broadside Players: 8v8 Gametypes: Dominion, CTF, Big-team Slayer Description: "The UNSC salvage ship 'Hand-to-God' never saw combat until recovery of a Forerunner artifact drew unwanted attention..." The idea for this map is to have a large spaceship being attacked and boarded by a team of banshee pilots. The defenders must risk crossing the open and exposed areas of the ship in their defense vehicles to race the attackers to the objectives on top of the ship. The main aspects I need to test is if it is too easy for one team or the other to get to the objectives. The DOM bases are at the top back on the conning tower, at the top front in the bunker, an in the ship bridge. (Pro tip: if you get stuck on the asteroid behind the ship, there is a teleport back to the ship inside the artifact base) Also, banshees are really powerful, so balancing the defenders defensive weapons, available cover, and vehicles is a challenge. I have several ideas of how to modify/finalize the map, and a good play-test should help me identify the right direction to take it in! Pics Below (until they get Fileshare up and running, some sloppy TV pics will have to do)
  4. It seems like 343i didn't want to deal with betrayals so much, but I really hate the new system of no-team damage. I can't count the number of times I've snuck up on a pair of the enemy and been about to get a double-kill or triple-kill, then some banshee or tank just fires. And somehow, what should result in a double or triple betrayal, is just killing me. It's just wrong that they can fire indiscriminately and kill enemies without harming their team-mates in the slightest. It's not just vehicles, either. People do it with rocket-launchers and sticky detonators, too. I've seen people put stickies on their own guys, and when someone assassinates they blow the sticky. They get a showstopper, and for what? Not skill, but exploiting a loophole in the new betrayal and team-damage system. And then on the other hand, I get run over by team-mates in warthogs or ghosts, because they want my ordnance drop I just picked up. Do I EVER get the option to boot them? Of course not--it literally hasn't given me that choice once. How is that fair? I've been doing good, I get an ordnance sniper, and BAM! Nope, Chuck Testa, it's his! In some ways, this system of betrayal is better, because in Reach the problem was getting betrayed in the first 10 seconds, or getting shot up, but not killed so that you were always an easy kill for the enemy. Seriously, they can monitor well enough to tell when someone is boosting, but they can't write a program that tells them there are jerks ruining games in the first ten seconds, when there's not an enemy in sight? What are your thoughts on the new team-damage/betrayal system? Like? Dislike? Hate the unliving guts of?

  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFAFZ4lMDAM Gamer Tag: LeadingChimera3 Liquid Space is a symmetrical team objective map. It also plays very well as an infinity slayer map, or as a flood map. The element that I spent the most time on and eventually built the rest of the map around is the "Liquid Space" gravity pool. It is comprised of 12 10x10 gravity volumes and a couple overlapping trait zones. The end result is a 20x10 free standing gravity pool that you cannot fall out of. The pool area is a great fun for lots of mini games and such, but I also wanted to build a full team objective map around it. Even though the map has a very unusual central element, it is surprisingly straightforward and simple to understand. (The video clips are all from one game with many first time players. As you can see they intuitively pick up on what to do quite quickly.) I worked very hard on making every room in each base as dynamic as possible. The 2 floor central control rooms have created some really awesome conflicts during my time testing out the map.
  11. Outpost Bravo is a small, asymmetrical Slayer/Team Slayer map designed for 3 to 10 players on the map Impact. There is a main base with multiple entrances and rooftop access, along with an attached cargo storage area off to the side. Teams start in the back of the base, and in the outdoor cargo area. There is a sword on the base side, a sniper on the cargo side, and a rocket launcher in the middle. This map is one of the bases I was making on my way to a dominion map, but I decided to polish this up and make it a slayer map before continuing with the dominion part of it. There are some dominion objects in it as a result that I left in for aesthetics. I would love to get this out there and get some feedback going. Thanks! Overview, blue starting area on left Red starting Area Front of base Inside of base Pictures taken from phone due to apparent lack of online file share functionality. Just search my gamertag: xaer0darkness (that's a zero), in the map variant file browser under "File Share Search" to get it and let me know what you think!
  12. v1.1 EDIT: Some cover has been added to the map such as rocks and walls. Also some floors have been changed. GamerTag: LiquidLuigi Map: Entirety v1.1 Gametype: Slayer, Koth Want to test the map? Message me to my GT: LiquidLuigi Entirety is a simplistic 4v4 map that is compatible with slayer and king of the hill. There are only red and blue spawns on this map and you only spawn on your side of the map. In a game of ctf, it is very effective to run the flag through the middle portion of the map. However, the other team may catch you off guard. There is also a jump up to each of the bases. The weapons on this map include: 1 Sniper Rifle 1 Rocket Launcher 2 Magnums 4 Sticky Grenades 2 Pulse Grenades This is the first version of the map just in case I need to make changes to it.
  13. Large valley with great structures and vehicles, map works with a 4v4 infinity slayer match. By: DARKxFALLENx209
  14. Gamertag: Money00100 Map: Tribes: Vengeance Gametype: Tribes: Vengeance Description: This map is a ballistic high-speed insanity FFA based on Ravine's natural layout and inspired by the game Tribes: Vengeance. There are an extreme amount of ramps and the routes are endless. All players will be fighting at top speed, top jump, and lowest gravity, all while using a burst of thrusters to evade attacks. Infinite lives with instant respawns to get you right back in the fight. There are two combat classes to choose to allow personal preferences. Each kill is 1 point and each pummel is 5 points. Assassinations, Sticks, and Splatters are all GAME-WINNING kills, as they are extremely difficult to perform. Minimum Players: 2 Maximum Players: 16 Suggested Players: 3-16
  15. Gamertag: Money00100 Map: Lava Pit Gametype: Lava Pit Description: This map is an action packed arena based in the centre of a masive city (Shmeef City). Contestants are pitted in a FFA with 3 lives and only vehicles to knock each other off the edge or into the LAVA PIT to their impending doom. Most vehicles have only one life and should therefore be taken care of. If there are no more vehicles; have patiencce, for more will spawn over time. If not, you can assassinate each other. Minimum Players: 2 Maximum Players: 8 Suggested Players: 4-8
  16. Please bring back snipers!! Snipers > FFA Throwback
  17. 1. GT: Hatchet Jackson 2. Taurus Station 3. Infinity slayer, CTF 4. Taurus Station Check out the map v2 and give suggestions. An original map on impact. Made for big team battle, ctf, or infinity slayer located on the impact map on the asteroid with the artifact building. It Is a mostly symmetrical horseshoe style map with two identical bases, a central buildinga ridge with a reactor plant, a research site, and a giant digger machine. So in building this map I tried to have most of the map look like it could be on a asteroid mining facility. The map currently has low Gravity and speed all over the exteriors on the map but has increased gravity and speed in the central. Neither the outside nor the central interior is to drastic that it feels uncompetitive or like a mini game map. I also played around with gravity volumes on ramps to give vehicles a bit of weightlessness and give the artifact an attraction to a kill ball.

Download Link Player Count: 10-14 Gametypes: Team Slayer, Multi Flag CTF, 3-Flag, Assault, Neutral Bomb, Stockpile, KOTH, 3-Plots Hello everyone. In an attempt to bring more activity to the Forge World forums, several avid forgers including myself have decided to share our goods here. Most of these are not new maps (this one was finished last November after five months of testing), but these are quality maps which have been tested endlessly and honed to something resembling perfection. So, what is S? Well, it is a symmetrical map for squad/BTB games (10-14 players). The map is designed completely around creating a perfect balance between infantry and warthogs. The map plays a mean game of multi flag CTF, with some of the most hectic but balanced gameplay around. This video should explain everything to you, and I know you'd all rather listen to me speak than read a wall of text. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUkyY1grmfI&list=SP6A29376A730D8C40&index=3&feature=plpp_video So, that covers pretty much everything, right? Thanks to all the testers and everyone who helped with this map in any way. You guys are the best. For the rest of you, what are you waiting for? Go play this map! Don't forget, the map also supports 4-player splitscreen! Thanks for reading! Don't forget to download!
  19. Once the file share system is up I will provide you with a link for download. Information about downloading the map right now is at the bottom of this post. -[Map Name]- -[Lunar waste]- -[Description]- -Scientists have decided that to save earth we have to get rid of our waste dumps, so this orbital station is our new site for toxic waste dumps- -[story]- Our planet has become poisoned by us humans. We choke it with our toxic waste that we dump all over our beautiful globe. Nuclear powerplants are going to destroy our home and until now we've let that happen. Now scientists have finally found a solution to save Earth: Orbital space dumps! Instead of dumping our nasty waste on ourselves we can transport it away from us and into the endless abyss of the universe where it will cause no harm to anybody. -[Game information]- -This map is created on Impact and was made to have great mass-carnage-fun in BTB Slayer but it also works great for Dominion and is compatible with many other gametypes aswell.- -[Features]- This map features a whole new kind of way to get hurt: Toxic waste! Yes that is correct, your shield will drain while you stand in the blue acid pools. You will also be slowed down and not be able to jump as high when walking into the thick mud of putrid waste. When you drive a vehicle into the bigger pool of blue death juice you will be forced out of the vehicle because all its parts are being eaten up by the vile liquid. -[Weapons]- (When playing Dominion each site will have x2 Ordnance drops) x2 Sniper rifles (Not on Dominion) x2 Assault rifles x2 SAWs (Ordnance) x1 Battle rifle x1 Railgun x1 Spartan laser (Not on Dominion) x2 Light rifles x2 Storm rifles x1 Magnum x2 Random ordnance drops that contains grenades and different ordnance weapons. x3 Warthogs x2 Ghosts -[Players]- -It is meant for 8v8 but works nicely all the way down to 4v4. -[Compatible gametypes]- (Green=Great for, Yellow=Okay for, Red=Not so good for) -BTB/Slayer -Multi Team -Dominion -Extraction (3 Sites) -King of The Hill -Capture The Flag -Swat -Oddball -Flood -[images]- ( Better quality coming soon ) (These pictures were taken in Dominion mode so anything Dominion related will not be in any other of the gametypes) Map overview. One base for the teams on each side of the map with more inbetween. Alpha base, equipped with a Sniper rifle and SAW plus vehicles! Interior of Bravo base. Be the first to get the Spartan laser! Exterior of Bravo base. Charlie base, equipped like Alpha base. The disposal facility, it comes with a Railgun! My own lift that will get you into Bravo base. The interior of the far side of Bravo base. The acid will turn your screen blue as a warning to tell you that you have to move now! The big pool of acid is iconic for the map and lethal! The big pool of acid will force you out of any vehicle like this. -[Download]- Link: ( Will be available later ) So instead, for now you can download this map if you search for my gamertag 'BIZaGoten' on Halo 4. Please comment if you remember to after you've played it. Have fun!

  21. Map Name: Fusion Author: Shukunyami Compatible Gametypes: Slayer, CTF (Will add more later) Description: Fusion is an asymmetrical competitive map featuring a large nuclear reactor core in the middle of the map which is connected to a gravity well lift by a bridge. The reactor area serves as the base of operations for Red team. There is a teleporter that can take you inside the reactor, which can lead to hectic, cramped battles, as the inside doesn't have much room to move and features a kill ball floating in the middle and a hidden incineration cannon. The Blue Team base is a bunker with multiple floors and a pile of sandbags on top with a Binary Rifle resting against it. the are a few smaller structures littered around the map as well which feature different Promethean weapons hidden inside. The blue base, while not as easily defendable as red base, comes with 2 mongooses and 1 mantis, along with 3 small platforms that have machine gun turrets on them. Each base also has Dominion Turrets, which can be used in any game mode that allows for teams, but blue base only has 2 while red base has four. You can find the map on my fileshare, along with my other map, Hunger Games Impact. Enjoy!
  22. Since this seems like an official site of 343i (apart from waypoint), I thought I would just ask, I know it's the lead up to christmas and all, but what is the news on how the playlists are being affected and when the full playlists will be implemented? I've heard that they will be up in time, but has any sort of a timescale been set to do this? I don't think it's just me who wants to know this, i'm sure other community members are keen to find out when that little bit of something extra in matchmaking is going to be added, making this already awesome game, perfect (popular classic gametypes, map rotation etc.). I also think that there has been a lot of input from the community about this sort of stuff and yeah, it's a great game and I realise it hasn't been out for long, but I can't help but wonder if 343i will take up the role that bungie left with as much enthusiasm towards the concerns of the community as bungie originally did. Anyone hear what i'm saying?
