  1. Hello everyone, I present you my new map : this remake of the Spirit of Fire from Halo Wars ! It is only an aesthetical remake, I didn't have any block left or any idea od what I could do with that to make something fun with. Moreover, if you go on, I advise you to don't create the lighting or you will have some problem about the shadows, this is the reason why all the pictures were taken in forge.. The map is forged on the "ascendance" skybox because to see all the details it is really better than "exosphere" even if it globally looks better on it. Gamemode (Link Issues, get from my files) Halo Kart ​Map Building Process I first got the idea for making this map when I randomly decided to play on my old wii. I took photos of this map for reference and then built all the track pieces I would need first. Once I had a strait, corner, jump, and every other little piece made, I simply snapped together all the pieces to make the track. I had major budget issues making the map from making a huge lava floor and storm ceiling out of chroma blocks and lights, so I had to cut back on some aesthetics to have enough objects for a functioning gametype. The scripting of the whomps wasnt working well so I had to make the whomp structure more simplified as well. Now The map flows 99% smoothly with few scripting glitches. Paired with the "Halo Kart" gametype, it is a really fun custom to play! Halo Kart Gametype Settings -Starting Vehicles are set to rally hogs, but you can change them to mongooses and ghosts as well -Each lap is 10 points.   3. Download link below! Mombasa streets will finally be available today. This new map has been completely rebuilt from scratch on a brand new forge canvas, instead of an out-of-map canvas. This version does not fully replicate any one distinct location from the game, this is just meant to show off remade assets and known elements that are most recognizable from the original gameplay. This map was rushed in an effort to replace the original that was never released due to broken mechanics. However I plan on making more than one version and expanding on remakes from the city as time goes on.   6. Link to previous map the remake is based off. (Warning, the images on that map are NOT up to date with the finished copy.) http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/40663-cat-and-mouse/ So with ANOTHER quick put together, I have finally remade my Cat and Mou-, er Tunnels. That I made back on H2A's Forge. This map was in the works in December, but with Forge bugs at the time I lost interest and couldn't stand it... Well that's over now, because I finally did it! It has all the old stuff, and will eventually have Infection. Anyways, let's dig in the details of this newer/better version! (No thanks to Halo 5's Forge!) The map is dark, just like the past version. Except, it's even darker. So dark you can't see anything, but I fixed that up. There's some Black Light/Neon Purple lights on the walls letting you know if there's something in the way. Every hallway/tunnel is broken down in view. Covers are placed in positions, forcing you blind from what's on the other side. Take safety measures and carry a shotgun. This map is intended for 6-12 players. But supports 16 players. Which is the maximum. The map is quite fun, even for a basic map that anyone could throw together. But thanks to people throwing in tips, such as adding ventilation shafts, I have added those in as well as a center crossover! So now it's a Square with an X, lol. The map also has some spooky sound effects, and annoying sound effects as well as some regular FX. To give it more of an infection/spooky look like the original version. Anyways, let's get to the images shall we? Player Spawn: Infected Spawn: Corner Room: Cage: Cave: Hallways: Here's some differences that appear in the remake: Infected Spawn on an elevator, lowering them into the spawn room. Giving Players 10 seconds to split up and find an area they're comfortable with. Wreckage room is gone, and replaced with a pig pen. (Yes, the pigs do move!) The Bar is still there, but no longer serving alcoholic beverages. Or chairs. Ventilation shafts don't always have drop holes, sometimes the just end like a normal hallway. Leaving players feeling more secure, and infected having to make a plan. Mysterious man walks through the hallways. Unsure of what he's doing, maybe you could help him? Plasma Rifle replaced with Storm Rifle, pistols are no longer there. Instead there is one DMR placed in a hidden location. Active camo powerup is still on the map, and is obtainable unlike original version. Overshield, however, is gone. Of course there are other stuff, but why spoil it when you can see it for yourself.   9. A remake of Halo 3's Sandbox. The map has been scaled up to accompany Halo 5's new mobility tricks. Features 2 snipers, 2 rockets, a shotty, an overshiled, 2 g hammers, and 2 detached rocket turrets. Each base is also equiped with a ghost, hog, gungoose, and standard goose.   10. When remaking Damnation, I didn't want plane ol' purple blocks everywhere even though that's pretty much how the original was. So, I borrowed some styling from Halo Reach's Penance while keeping the original pathways the same. The map looks incredible. The map's padded weapons are a sniper and a SPNKr Rocket. I've kept the shotgun and active camo, but the overshield was just too much. I scaled the map to play well with Halo 5's new mechanics, and play well it does. This way you don't have to bother with classic settings. The new Halo 5 Spartan Abilities compliment the map incredibly well. They go together like peanut butter and jelly. The water falls posed a bit of a problem. Alpine's natural waterfall is too enclosed to use so I improvised. There are now three pipes that have covenant plasma flowing out just like in the Halo CE mission Keys. You may remember the green gooey stuff leaking from the ship. The map has a pool of the stuff below the mid area. As for the Covenant theme, Penance was my main source of ideas. I went with a lighter purple glass instead of the typical orange or blue simply because I thought it clashed too much with the green plasma pool. I am constantly reworking the map trying to revise parts and reduce object count so i can add more detail to the plane purple blocks I set out to avoid (unfortunately pulling of a convincing covenant theme requires a lot of objects). Needless to say, be sure to bookmark, so that way you always have the most up to date version. Pictures and paragraphs won't do this map justice. The best way is to see it for yourself.   11. H2 Lashout is a 1:1 scale of Halo 2's Lockout with 30+ hours of forge dedication. I used respawn areas to size Halo 2 Anniversary's Lockdown, followed by converting those values for Halo 5, as well as going back to the original map. Along with using MCC as a guide, I used my prior experience forging Lockout for Halo Reach and for Halo 4. I chose to change up the aesthetics by making the map at night and by lighting up the map with the colors Mint and Ice Blue. H2 Lashout keeps as faithful to the original as possible and is meant to be played with all abilities disabled but can still be played using default Halo 5 settings. These values are recommended for a proper gameplay experience: 90% Forward Speed 90% Gravity Gamertag: JesseInsanity Map: H2 Lashout Gametype: H2 Slayer Disclaimer: I started this map when forge was first released. The current spawning is bugged for 1v1 gameplay due to the fact that I deleted my initial spawns(I hate myself for it XD). This map still plays great with FFA and Team Slayer. Breakout and Capture The Flag are experimental but since there's no option for One Flag, I do not recommend playing those gametypes. The screenshots look darker than how it looks in game and since the initial screenshots, I've increased the brightness of various areas.
  12. So as many of you konw, Halo 2 Anniversary came with some maps that were remade. Some people like them, and others do not. I however, am one of those who like it. That said, discussing the possibilities that more remakes will come in the future. However, Bravo said no more DLC remakes. Completing voiding some of the good Halo 2 DLC Maps that were there. We already have Ascension, Coagulation, Lockout, Zanzibar remakes. Which ones would you like to see in the future? I personally think a Waterworks remake needs to be made, since it's arguably the biggest map in Halo 2. Fighting against Containment. What's yours? You can vote, discuss below, or do both! Also, if you want Midship. You might as well buy Halo 5: Guardians instead.
  13. Because of all of the exciting news regarding a Gears of War Remaster, I decided to put my skills to the test to achieve a fresh remaster of the famous map known as Blood Drive !   14. Recently I've been thinking about how Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have been hits for Nintendo. This remake was an extremely smart, and perfectly timed event to do. Now the question remains, after the game being out since, November 21, 2014, Fans might be starting to think about what is next after this remake. (when I say 'fans', I mean me ) Don't get me wrong, there's still much more to be done with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, time wise, but I think it is time they announce a new project, or just release some speculatory stuff about what is coming next. If Nintendo/GameFreak were to release a new Pokemon title, I'd either love a Remake of Crystal, or a remake of the very popular, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. If they don't do a remake, since they just did that, I have some strange feels about a new generation. I guess the question that remains is, how much longer can the Pokemon Video Game franchise just keep making new games? I mean, they do it with Halo, COD, GOW, and many other titles, but is there a limit to how many Pokemon Games there should be? What do you guys think?

Halo 3: ODST and Relic are fast on our heels, with a Spring 2015 release, and 343i has decided to tease our taste buds yet again after the Halo 5 tease with new images of both compensations. On HaloWaypoint.com, in a blog post, the wonderful Dan Ayoub released a few teaser images in which we see what is being working on. They confirmed that for Relic, community playtesters are working hard to iron out the kinks to make it akin to it's famed Halo 2 predecessor. The images show the true fine detail of Halo 3: ODST not apparent on Xbox 360, the new version is much brighter compared to the standard version. They show an action shot on Relic where a Blue Spartan with a Beam Rifle oversees a Warthog explosion, confirming that the Assault Rifle is on the map (as of yet). They also show a Forge World styled overview, which we see below.   17. Hey guys, I've been thinking, why not adding halo custom edition to the xbox one? I know that it's impossible to make code on the xbox, so why not making it possible for cross-platforming so you can make the maps on the computer and all the tags, and after that you can set it in a library which is attainable with xbox live. Of course there must be a few things what should be upgraded: 1. better graphics, you can't make every possible BSP or model in custom edition, so it must be able to have better 3d models, after that it must be better with light engine and so on. 2. online ai, in custom edition it's impossible to make co-op maps because AI players aren't at the same location on everybody's game. 3. Online play through xbox live, this is logical 4. maybe an easyer terrain editor, that would be awesome too ;D 5. last but not least, no deprovement in tags like the halo 2 map editor, the halo 2 map editor was bull**** after the advance tags were got rid of :/ Good idea? tell me if you think that it is
  18. Saints Row news was announced at PAX today as we have confirmation of a new DLC called Gat Out of Hell and a remake on current generation consoles called Saints Row IV: Re-Elected Edition. Deep Silver shared two new exciting announcements for it's Saints Row franchise, particularly Saints Row IV, today at PAX Prime, a remake of SRIV on the current generation Xbox One and PS4, and a stand-alone DLC expansion for the game called Gat Out of Hell. Polygon.com reports that the DLC will follow Johnny Gat and Kinzie Kinzington after using a Ouija board goes horribly wrong, they are transported to the depths of hell and must kill Satan himself. No customization will follow in the DLC as you're playing as already set characters. The world is about half the size of Steelport, but will feature new activities, weapons, and clothing. The DLC is $19.95 as a stand-alone (you don't need Saints Row IV to play it) and will release on January 27th, 2015 on Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and the PC.   20. Boardwalk V 0.1 Overview This is the most accurate and realistic remake of Boardwalk in Halo 4. I measured every inch of this map n Halo Reach and transferred the measurements to build it in Halo 4. I used a modded canvas by ddez drol to give me more walls and blocks.   21. The most nostalgic Halo to me, I remember playing Outskirts a lot. The campaign was great because of the two stories, I hope 5 is like that. I loved the brutes better in this. It is completely Forged by Trio of Kings, with no mods. The "fan" in the center of the map does not move, and wouldn't be able to move unless someone did some fancy editing with the Forklift Mod. The map uses most of the same layout, weapons, and vehicles, but when the budget ran out some parts of the map weren't the same as the classic map we all love. Usually i put news versions in the official topic of Super Smash Bros. Infinity, but this Battlefield is totaly changed compared at the old version. This new version is exactly the same that in the original game. The OLD version : The old version was simple, ugly, and a lot of details were missing. The NEW Version : There's absolutly all the details in this new version, all pieces of block, with the same inclinations, the same angles... everything is identical. I'm pretty proud of the solar dial, the blocks' overlapping produce a sun. I think it's really nice. Also i used wires to remake lianas. And for the end, i added water on the front, like in the original stage, and also the blue and purple lights which are on the main platform. But unfortunately i didn't have enought to do the second line. You always get the feeling that all ways out are "locked". The map itself is very high placed, where the lighting works better. Outside there are alot of mountains and trees which is a good aesthetic feature. The map itself is a remake of Chill out/ Cold Storage, but with some twists, which make for better gameplay and movement on the map. Weapons: Sniper at redbase (180sec) Shotgun at bluebase (180sec) Overshield in the middle of the map (random) 2 stormrifles 1 br 1 suppressor 2 puls grenades (The rocked launcher is removed, since it's overpowered) The gameplay does work as the classic map, but the movement is better, and the teleporters are removed since they were confusing. Actually, I have playtestet this alot and tried to make it as good as possible. Gametypes: Slayer CTF KotH Oddball FFA Regicide 2v2 1v1 This map works extremely well in FFA and Slayer variants (and Oddball) This map was forged by Desson1A (me) Feedback is always appreciated from anyone. The more opinions, the better, right? blue base shotgun in blue base lower hallway from blue to the main room upper hallway from blue base to the main room (cover added) red base sniper spawns in red base orange located below red base hallway which is below the red base and connects orange and the main room this is the main room with the brigde (the brigde is now bigger for better movement) the overshield spawns randomly to prevent it from beeing overpowered. It spawns on a platform which is new to this map this room connects orange and the blue base. The rocket launcher is replaced with a suppressor and 2 puls grenades. The two platforms where the rocket launcher used to spawn are connected and multiple ways up to it are now available. Also the movement between this room and the mainroom is now better. (excuse me for the bad english)
