  1. So I just bought the game for PC because halo 2 makes me nostalge. (And Halo: CE ofc), but I haven't had a chance to install is as I'm currently upgrading my desktop. Is anyone out there still playing multiplayer on PC?
  2. 343 Industries has announced a collaboration with an outside company for a multiplayer online Halo game set to release this Spring! Were you hoping to see an insanely detailed Halo game on PC realizing the platform's full potential? Well unless you live in Russia, too bad. HaloWaypoint.com has posted a blog explaining a new game coming to PC, Halo: Online. It's being made by Saber Interactive and Innova, and will be online-only. It will be free-to-play and will only be available on PC in Russia, not yet confirmed to be distributed anywhere out there. 343i has confirmed this is not a sign (yet) of Halo moving to PC, but it will be testing the waters for the future of the franchise outside of Xbox. Not many details have been fully revealed, but the game is rumored to be running on the Halo 3/4 engine, opinions range. From the screenshot above however, it looks breathtaking. It will take place straight after Halo 3, and there will be a huge range of armour and weapons with varying stats, yes you heard me, armour stats. View attachment: halo online.png I can't wait for this to release... In the US and Europe, since it's only coming to Russia as of yet. The idea is great, and I can really see it taking off... In the US and Europe. DID I MENTION I WANT IT IN THE US AND EUROPE? Let me know down below what you think of this new game announcement! See ya next time. View full article
  3. One of Ubisoft's next entries into it's popular Assassin's Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed Rogue, is coming to PC in 2015. So far, Assassin's Creed Rogue has been labeled as the last generation counterpart to Assassin's Creed Unity, which is exclusive to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. IGN.com reports that Assassin's Creed Rogue is sharing one platform so far with Unity, the PC. Ubisoft confirmed the game will launch primarily on the PS3 and Xbox 360 this holiday, and in early 2015 the game will launch on PC. When questioned about the idea of a release on the current generation consoles, the Xbox One and the PS4, Ubisoft declined to comment, not answering with a 'yes' or a 'no'. So it's all but confirmed Rogue will come to the Xbox One and PS4, and it will definitely come to PC in early 2015. Ubisoft Sofia also teased the modern day portion of the game, saying we'd get a peak at it in a few weeks. Whether this means an announcement soon or us finding out once we get hands on on the game, which launches in about a month, is unknown. Let me know below! Thanks a lot for reading!
  4. Installation 01 is a Fan made Halo game for the PC. We are in compliance with Microsoft’s Fair use policy. This is not an opportunity to make money. This is an opportunity to make cool ****, and learn things. We will not be making a single penny off of this game. Instead we are fueled by a love of game development and the Halo franchise. We are currently looking for 3D modelers, especially those who can UV map and texture what they create. Or if you just do UV mapping / texturing, that would help a lot. We are also looking for programmers. We are using Unity and C#, our code is on Github, So it will be essential that programmers at least have some kind of git experience, as well as C# and Unity. If you have a burning desire to work on I01 but your specific field isn't listed, still feel free to contact us.
  5. Halo: The Master Chief Collection will not be coming to PC anytime soon. Microsoft said that although it's still a possibility, it's not something that's being worked on or considered right now. They are focusing on doing a great job on Xbox. 343 Industries' Executive Produce Dan Ayoub said "The appeal of the massive PC Market isn't lost". Having Halo: MCC being released only on Xbox One seems to be a way of encouraging more gamers to purchase the console. It is possible to see Halo: MCC come to PC, but at the moment it's not an option and may not be for a while. Do you want Halo: MCC to come to PC? 7. The popular Xbox One ''exclusive'' Ryse: Son of Rome is getting a PC release this fall on digital download locations like Steam, and full retail releases handled by Deep Silver. Ryse: Son of Rome was a very poorly received game by most critics, with the general public calling the game mediocre, needing quite a bit of work, and with the hype already dead and buried, this news may surprise you. According to IGN.com, Crytek has announced that due to community demand a PC release is underway, for digital download and retail, following the path of Xbox One exclusives like Dead Rising 3 and Titanfall. Crytek has said that the game will include all add-ons, some that were originally exclusive to the Day One Edition of Ryse on the Xbox One, and 4K resolution. Crytek made a long statement, saying, "We’ve given our team the opportunity to show what CRYENGINE can really achieve, without compromising quality. . .Ryse will be a benchmark PC graphics showcase this year and probably for a long time in future. Our community asked for a Ryse PC version, and we have the means and technology to deliver this title with the highest quality possible.” Removing all of the praise to PC Hardware, Crytek is basically stating how the community of fans for the game wished for a PC port remastering the quality, and that's what they're doing. No release is confirmed, but it is coming sometime in the fall, if it doesn't get delayed. View attachment: news_photo_42034_1403717986.jpg What do you think about this news, has this destroyed any incentive to buy or own an Xbox One? Discuss it below, thanks for reading the article!
  8. Hello everyone, I'm LEGENDARY ENGRAM, and welcome to the Weekly News Wrap-Up. I just want to let everyone know next week I'm taking an extremely important set of tests that will help determine what High School I end up in, and another advanced test a few weeks later, so do wish me luck! Anyway, let's get down to our spooky set of articles. This is gonna be a bit weird as two articles are on the same game, but keep reading and you'll understand. View attachment: WNW 101114.JPG Sunset Overdrive Gets Exclusive Content for Day One, Season Pass, and Pre-Orders! Sunset Overdrive looks to be Insomniac Games' next big hit, with explosive action, hilarious humour, and crisp visuals. GameInformer.com reports if you pre-order, get the day one edition, or get the season pass you'll be one of the elite entitled to more goodies in the game at launch. One such example is pre-ordering on Xbox Live, which will net you Acordes de la Meurte, a guitar with melting candles littered on it, and the Hangover, a prickly spiked dumb-bell bat. Pre-ordering will entitle you to two weapons and a costume of the game's mascot. There are others exclusive to certain retailers, but the Season Pass also has a few interesting additions. Purchasing will grant you access to six outfits, two weapon modifiers, and two traps. View attachment: 2555793-sunset-overdrive-e3-propain-launcher.jpg Are you angered these bonuses aren't in the game even though they're already made? Let me know below! Dragon Age: Inquisition PC Specs Revealed Dragon Age: Origins held some promise, which was quickly squashed away by it's successor, Dragon Age II, and will hopefully be somewhat restored in the third, Dragon Age: Inquisition. IGN.com uploaded the game's PC specs if you're looking to buy the game on it's best looking and running platform. You'll need a minimum of Windows 7 or 8.1, and a recommended at the same level. There is an 8 GB of system memory recommended label, but 4GB is fine if you want a minimal experience. 512 MB Graphical Memory is the minimum for the game, but in a massive jump, 3 GB memory is recommended. Hard Drive space is the same for both, 26 GB. Graphics and CPU of course range, but it's recommended you have a more up to date one like an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660. View attachment: 2623524-da3.jpg Are you purchasing the game on PC or console, if at all? Debate below! Dragon Age: Inquisition 900p on Xbox One, 1080p on PS4 Another interesting piece of news on Inquisition, the game's developers revealed that the game will run lower on the Xbox One than on the PS4. GameSpot.com has the story, where they report that the PS4 version will run at a full 1080p, and the Xbox One version at only 900p. Bioware had this to say, "We maximized the current potential of each platform." basically meaning currently that's all they can push out of both systems. Inquisition isn't the only game to be skimped on the Xbox One, games like Assassin's Creed Unity and Sunset Overdrive have been graphically cut because of a lack of good hardware. View attachment: bloghome_ps4_hires.jpg Is only 900p fine with you, or do you expect more from next gen? Discuss below! Welp, that's all for this week, I'm Legendary Engram, signing out! Merry Cryparchaween
  9. Hello! As you can tell from the title what the question is... the other day I was on Halo 2 (PC) and only like 15 other people were playing it! And it's starting to make me angry! Halo 2 is still one of my favorite Halos and I really want more people to come play it, so tell all of your friends to buy it! (Even though I know you wont LOLOLOLOLOL) Thanks, B055_71
  10. Hey 343i community, I was just browsing good ol' Youtube today when I found THIS surprising bit of news that yet reignites the demand to see Halo enter the PC world (again), in all of its glory. I sure hope it does, as it would save me from buying a new console just to play the games on an inferior system. How BA would this be? It would not be great marketing on Microsoft's part to release a PC version of the collection, at least at launch, but my God would it make a LOT of gamers happy. You guys think the hype is real?

  12. Ok so I am a big halo fan. I love halo, I love its story and I like the idea of no iron sights. There is one thing I want on it though. I want it to be able to be played on the pc. There is many benefits to this idea. One is that halo would get a bigger community. Aside from hackers halo will also have plenty of mods people can use(not on multiplayer of course). Another thing is halo ce and halo 2 were both on the pc and it went great! So I'm wondering why halo isn't on the pc. Why was it cut off from the pc after halo 2? I know that the game was first on xbox, but still. I mean I have an xbox and halo reach is fun! I just would like it on the pc.
  13. I know I mentioned only PC, but my mistake, for next-gen and PC. Sorry for the inconvenience. :3 So, as most of you all know, GTA V (Grand Theft Auto V) is coming to Next-Gen/PC. People have been waiting since the first release to get it on Next-Gen (when they were known to public) and PC, which will bring in hopefully more profit. People have been discussing if Rockstar will be worth it in the long run, but that doesn't matter. All I want you all to do, is discuss what do you want with the upcoming release with PC, what would you like to see with all this next-gen power? I'm sure they are going to add a lot more, since they have this known power in their hands. Keep it clean and positive mmmk? ALSO, explain why you want this and what they do if a "DLC". EDIT: I know this is late, but didn't find a topic for it, so why not make one?
  14. well i am a little fed up with microsofts xbox one stuff so i am moving to pc. I just thought it would be a good idea for halo 5 to be on pc as well as xbox. more money for 343 industries, but that is besides the point. if they added halo 5 to pc it would be returning to its roots in a way. Halo Combat Evolved was on pc as well as xbox. it may also be an alternative to having to get the xbox one if halo 5 is for xbox one and pc.
  15. Much to player's disappointments, Titanfall on the PC can only use Xbox 360 Controllers. With the recent showing of the Limited Edition Titanfall Controller, which has received critical acclaim for it's design, players will be disappointed to learn that they cannot use that controller for their PC copy of Titanfall. This was no surprise earlier as Microsoft stated they would implement support for Xbox One controllers in 2014, but recently, an employee of Respawn surprisingly replied to the question of "Will you support the Xbox One controller on the PC?" With a yes. Shortly after, they deleted the message with a saddening "No," stating in an apology form: "We don't, sorry. I saw 'Xbox controller.' We support 360, not One on PC." Now just because Titanfall will not have Xbox One controller support on launch, does not mean it will not come in the future. Not only is a profitable move, but making it compatible as quite easy, as it's already been done by one Chris Gallizi, a hacker, who sorted out the driver situation. Has this changed your mind about getting Titanfall on the PC? Source: GameSpot.com Twitter.com

  18. Open world is bunk, thinking about sounds fun, running around it is extremely bunk. No one has time for running around a map looking at stuff and back tracking. It would be awesome if campaign maps were big enough to support the maximum amount of players. Campaign and matchmaking maps being utilized for invasion? Of course single player campaign still being awesome with bots, or going online for matchmaking campaign against people. Securing an objective is securing an objective. Also if there is to be forging in Halo 5(I bet there will be) bots would be awesome along with the moving target recticle that always points at the position of the projectiles impact. Since its the future I think left trigger aiming with Iron sights would still be capable. Weapon cameras are good but I bet firearms would still have redundancy. Also I dont like seeing the helmet in the screen, I have a TV, I want to see every part of the map with the tv, even the edges. Of course if the hud could be moved to the players wrists it would be awesome. I bet humans would have aircraft in the future, aircraft and vehicles with first person view. That with iron sights and a snarling evil oponent would be good. Robots arent scary, organisms are scary. Whatever happened to the carniverous covenant? Would be good if there were seperatists groups that have a taste for human flesh(they would need to look it too). Of course duals, camera capable weapons looking around corners utilizing choosable wrist/screen display. Or changing primary weapon hands for lower area of mass. Firearms sounding like firearms. I think if their were plasma rifles they would burn stuff on contact. I also think bodies dissapearing are bunk, could their phisics change instead of dissaperaing? Or they flatten out or burn leaving a dust pile or something? Also turning Halo 5 into a Devil may cry type game with giant opponents that need to be shot a hundred times and then have some trap done is bunk in my opinion. Of course having teamdeathmatch and slayer maps open, move, and close for a high time setting like invasion with retreats could probably be awesome in my opinion. If there were expanding maps for slayer I think its only fair that videos of characters not be included. Only if they were Skyped or something showing the maps with elevations and the characters giving hints for noobs. Thanks for making Halo 5, please also have it run on Games for Windows Vista/7/8 and slow dual core computers with low graghic settings. I almost forgot, this has nothing to do with Halo 5 in particular, please bring Halo 2 Pc for Vista back online. They still sell the game. If customer counts are low then have an advertising campaing with a link that performs a test for computers capable of running Halo 2 for Vista. Also, adding to my talking about the Halo 4/5 robots, they dont look scary. Their faces might open to show a skull yet I only see toaster/fridge/ if it were lucky and I were drunk enough, oven. They are far too clean and newish looking, not scary at all. Then when you kill them they turn into ashes? Theres no payoff, an explosion is recommended. An explosion with limbs and stuff, maybe leaving a torso squirting stuff. Whatever happened to the Halo with aliens boarding ships and eating people. Mandables would cause for crazy drueling, its too bad they didnt add that with the graghics. Furthermore, I know I said it before, but again; if their were carniverous covenant seperatist groups they would not have matching armor and stuff. Carniverous covenant seperatist groups would look like hell. Also if carniverous covenant seperatist groups were to be added I prefer it not be an open world game. Open world games are a waste of time. I can walk to the gas station and be attacked by carnivores, I dont need to wate time on a battle game going for oine location to another. Give me an objective and enemies trying to stop me, please dont try making me walk around open world or I wont buy Halo 5 either. Previous Halo campaigns were great, open world ius bunk. The only thing I would change about Halo campaign is the capability to go all multiplayer, even with ongoing joinable campaign games without point loss pending time constraints. Please, please, please, dont make Halo 5 open world or large enemyish. The only large enemies that were awesome were scarabs and elephants. In closing carniverous covenant good, large enemies and open world bad. I think Open world would only be good for forging and even then going one place to another is too much time. Being able to build a map with a choosen backdrop and every forgable object would be good? Also if there are going to be gatling guns on warthogs can the bumpers be used to spin them and the triggers used to fire them individualy, left/right, bumpers and triggers? Also with aiming down sights? Same thing with first person driving and the hogs having turn signals? There are ways to make Halo more realistic, in my opinion adding a seeable helmet in the HUD isnt one of them. Also can the zombies not have falices? I think hands would simply suffice, maybe with a assasinationish carniverous first person attack animation that can also be stopped by the properly placed shot of a teamate? With attack animation I would like to see a limb ripped off and drinken from, maybe zombie gettting bigger teeth or a head sachel that drags on the ground/increased capability or something? Also I liked Halo before the vision through walls thing, flashlights and binoculars only? Maybe binoculars with range finder/target marking if so lucky? Selectable firemodes on firearms would also be good? It is the future, fighting for survival from aliens after they destroyed a planet. Halo Harvest?
  19. 343 Industries could make a lot of cash doing the following thing: Assuming Halo is completely under their control now - release Halo 3 and Halo ODST for the PC on Steam.
  20. Can someone explain to me and other who doesent know what is that ring icon in Halo:CE(PC) server browser window please?
  21. I think Halo 5 MUST be on PC because I am a PC gamer and I am sick of Microsoft neglecting the PC, Halo 1&2 for PC were awesome, now why not any other Halo?
  22. Considering the Xbox One has had such a negative reception so far, especially when you compare it to the PS4? Do you think it's possible if the Xbox One sales are terrible even after the release of Halo 5 that MS might realise their mistake and release some of their exclusives onto the PC so they at least get some money from them?
  23. A new halo project "Halo Bootcamp" was listed on the Korean Game Rating Board and it will be a new Halo game. Nothing much is known about the game other than it will be a third person shooter and it is a PC exclusive, it will not be coming to the 360 or One. This article from gamefront goes into more detail about this new Halo game A listing for “Bootcamp” surfaced on the Korean Game Rating Board today, which is apparently some sort of Halo game. Odd things in that description: Halo 3 is mentioned. Huh? Is this potentially the rumored Halo 3 PC port? Also, this is listed as a PC/online game, not an Xbox One title. Wah? We reached out to Microsoft for some clarity, and a spokesperson provided Game Front with the following statement: “What’s Bootcamp? It is not related to our Xbox One efforts, or the Reclaimer Saga, but rather a project we’re very enthusiastic about and will have more to say about in the near future.” So, it’s not an Xbox One game. Nor is it a part of the “Reclaimer Saga” (which is a fancy title referring to the new Halo trilogy, starting with Halo 4). So what the hell is this thing? It’s clearly a spinoff of some kind. Note that “Bootcamp” could in some way refer to the similarly titled Reed Ruiz novel Halo: Fall of Reach: Boot Camp. And what’s that book about? Here’s the Amazon description: The legend of Master Chief begins! The United Nations Space Command is engaged in a brutal battle against a growing tide of insurrection. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and under the threat of a prolonged war the UNSC initiates the SPARTAN-II Project, a military program seeking to create a squad of super-soldiers. And so a great adventure begins: Once, he was a 6-year-old boy named John. But his superior speed, intelligence and adaptability to the SPARTAN-II training allow him to rise above the rest, starting his journey to become the most legendary warrior the galaxy has ever known! Halo: Fall of Reach – Bootcamp begins the adaptation of Eric Nylund’s novel Halo: The Fall of Reach, based on the international videogame sensation Halo! Your guess is as good as ours at this point, but we’ve at least confirmed A). That Korean Game Rating Board page wasn’t ‘shopped, this is actually a thing, and . it’s not for Xbox One, and C). it’s not a part of the new Halo trilogy. UPDATE: PC gamers hoping Halo Bootcamp is the rumored PC port of Halo 3 may be in for a bit of disappointment. In the NeoGAF thread where this news originally surfaced, Google Translate was used to translate the Korean to English, which appeared to include a clear reference to Halo 3. However, running the mysterious game’s description text through other translation services reveals a different picture. Here’s what Bing Translator has to say: “‘Halo’ as a third-person point of view based on the worldview of the mission is going to be executing an action game of water Minor violence representation (expressed as mere weaponry, attacks and a third-person point-of-blood description) Thus, article 21 of the law on the promotion of the game industry and the provisions of article 9, paragraph 3, classified according to the classification as a ‘ 15 ‘ decision.” There’s obviously a lot of murky English in there, but one thing is pretty clear. The description isn’t referring to Halo 3. Rather, it’s referring to a a third-person Halo game.
  24. I, personally, think PC gaming is way better than console gaming, even though I play consoles, mostly. The reason I think Pc is better is because of mods, add ons, and playing with larger servers. The graphics on a PC are also better than most console games.
