  1. Who saw it? I did. This one has the most plot holes out of any of these Marvel movies. Still very enjoyable. I would give it like a 7 to 7.5 because of the plot problems. I felt the plot was very predictable, being able to clearly see the Kree were the ones to screw over Carol, and they were the ones controlling her powers with their limiter switch, not the one that gave her the powers. Dr. Lawson/Mar-vel is trying to develop a Light Speed engine so the Skrulls can leave the Milky Way to get away from the Kree. But there is already plenty of factions and races that have FTL drives. Most of Guardians happens in the Andromeda Galaxy, the 1st closest to 'our' galaxy, the Milky Way. Yondu kidnaps Quill from Earth in 1988 and they end up in Andromeda, so there are already ships with the means to get from Galaxy to Galaxy. FTL engines don't appear to be in short supply, so why can't the Skrulls just get a ship that already has one? Also just a note, they only ever say 'Light Speed Engine', not 'Fast Than Light Speed Engine', so at Light Speed it would still take them 2.54 million years just to get to Andromeda. Andromeda also already had a Kree presence, so the Kree themselves have the means to get from Milky Way to Andromeda. How did Dr. Lawson get the Tesseract. Ok, so maybe SHIELD let the USAF/NASA use the Tesseract during their joint Project: Pegasus. That makes sense. But presumably it would still be a highly valued and secured object, even if they didn't quite know what it was. How did Dr.Lawson manage to steal it? Not only that, but it had to of been missing for up to 6 years, where it was just hanging out in Lawson's orbiting Laboratory/Kree Space Cruiser. The Supreme Intelligence. Before Carol meets the AI it is explained that the AI may appear in any form IT chooses. Why would the AI choose to take the form of Dr.Lawson during it's conversation with Carol? Surely if Supreme AI is trying to keep Carol under control they don't want her questioning her past too much. Why would the AI intentionally choose to show up as someone Carol isn't supposed to know? Maybe it was afraid of Carol piecing together her past through the recurring dreams she was having but shouldn't it of instead offered it's own false answers rather than intentionally keeping it a mystery? That would make Carol just look for answers? Carol shoots one hole in the Skrull ship and the whole thing explodes. Must of shot it directly in the C4. Skrulls are on Earth for like 1 day and in that time they naturally are able to not only find information painting SHIELD as an important organization, they also manage to locate, isolate, and take the form of Nick Fury's boss. In less than 24 hours. GG Skrulls, good work. Ronan The Accuser. He is a part of 'the Accusers', so shouldn't he be 'Ronan A Accuser', not 'The Accuser', since there seems to be quite a few of them? Also, he all "We will be back for HER", then proceeds to presumably forget about Captain Marvel for Maybe it was on his TODO. Ronan The Accuser uses Ballistic Missiles to level what looks like entire cities early in the movie as a distraction for Jude Law and his team to extract a Kree Spy. They show one missile leveling a city. Ronan turns up at Earth and proceeds to order all his ships to fire every single missile in a single file line, so they would presumably all land in the same 50m circle? Why not spread out the pay load across a continent? It made it awfully convenient for Captain Marvel to destroy the missiles when they were all fired in a tight clustered single file line. The Tesseract is show to be , but Goose the Flerken manages to eat it and be fine? Also, why was Dr.Lawson keeping Goose as a pet? The Skrulls are shown to be scared of Flerkens so not like it was helping her refugee pals. Jude Law turns up on Earth and finds fake Skrull Captain Marvel. Why did they even leave him behind? Why didn't they just take him (the skrull) into space with them? Not only that but at no time does anyone tell Jude Law where the Laboratory is but then he and his team just appear on it? I guess when it de-cloaked they managed to detect it? Over sight on Talos's part when they don't re-engage cloaking after boarding. Captain Marvel shoots down Jude Law's little space fighter, he crashes, then Ronan The Accuser turns up and fires his missiles in a single fire line straight down. Captain Marvel flies off. When his ship crashes does Jude Law just literally stand there for like 5 minutes while Captain Marvel flies into space? What was he doing? Not like he could watch. He then proceeds to get by Captain Marvel, which was nice. At times the editing seemed to be pretty poor. When Ronan turns up and fires at Earth it just kind of hard cuts to Captain Marvel flying straight up. They don't show her acknowledging the threat. When Fury fights Talos in the records room they showed like 15 guys run in to check the room then some how it is empty for Fury to one on one Talos. Things I like. The whole 'First Female led what ever' thing wasn't ever played up. It didn't feel like there was any real behind the scenes political message, it was just a cool story that happened to be revolving around a female. Not, "eww, men, amirite". Some legit laughs. Old computers, Block Buster, incompetent Kree tech. In fact, the Skrull in general were pretty good.
  2. I'm sure everyone enjoys the game and loves role playing in the halo games. But like me I know there are others who would love to see movies following the games to see the action of the Spartans in war. I never actually thought of this idea until the epic introduction into the halo 5 campaign. If there was a movie similar to every single campaign story and even ones who showed off the campaign lines I'm certain it would be an extremely huge hit. Hit the story of halo up with movies! Halo 5 proves you can and the effort will pay off tramendously! Who else is ready to see the Spartans in action and the fight for humanity come to a big screen? I know I would and I look forward to what this forum brings. Thank you for all your hard work 343 industries.
  3. Hello everyone, if you are a Dragon Ball Z fan. You're in luck. Some of you may have heard of the upcoming new movie, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F. Some of you have not, in short detail I'm going to explain some things and show you the trailer. The show is scheduled to be dubbed in 2016 for U.S. 2015 for Japan. In Resurrection of F, Frieza is back. Yes, again. Two of his minions managed to survive and gather up the Dragonballs, which they used their wish to revive Frieza. This time around, Frieza has a new form. Yes, a 5th form. His Ultimate form, as seen that he had four other previous forms and claimed that the fourth was his final form. For those of you who question, Frieza's final form at Full Power, is not an entirely different form. That's still his fourth form. In DBZ: RoF, the main protagonist is not just Goku this time around, but Vegeta. Yes, Frieza and Vegeta at it again. Frieza plans on taking on everyone who has defeated him previously, and defeat them. Goku, Vegeta, Trunks are all at stake here. That said, this film is to feature all of the Z fighters and much others. Including Lord Beerus and Whis. Both Gods of Destruction, first encountered in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. Also, for those of you interested. It is said that Trunks and Goten will have new character designs. So get ready for a whole new look! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ET2mEyXtRsY
  4. According to recent reports, a Bioshock Movie may now be back in production after the cancellation debacle, having over 3 sites registered to the trademark by Sony Entertainment. The Bioshock Movie suffered a depressing downfall many months ago, when it's Director Gore Verbinski wished for the film to be rated R, but the studio fired back, and both sides clashed leading to Gore leaving the project and it becoming cancelled. Now it seems Sony may have taken the rights, according to Kotaku.com first, one article mentions three different sites being registered by Sony Entertainment themselves, bioshock-movie.com, bioshock-movie.net, and bio-shock.net. Though, knowing Sony, we might unfortunately only get the pre-promised PG-13 version of Bioshock The Movie. Concept arts were also revealed on Jim Martin's website many months back, showcasing what the R rated film would've looked like. View attachment: BioMovieConcept.png Does this news excite you, and will you take an interest in viewing the new Bioshock film even if it's only PG-13? Let me know below, thanks for the read!
  5. Hey everyone, here's the trailer to a movie I've been making with the 405th Halo costuming group. It's a live-action fan film about the Fall of Reach, so please tell me what you think. Feedback is always appreciated!
  6. No, Microsoft will not be making a Halo movie. After many rumors sprung up about Ridley Scott directing this film, these rumors have since been shot down by a Microsoft spokesperson in a response to Eurogamer. "The Halo franchise encompasses many elements, including games, action figures, novels and more," "As always, we have many projects in the works that offer us the opportunity to bring in new audiences to the franchise, as we did in the past with Halo Legends and Halo: Forward Unto Dawn." "We plan to continue telling the Halo story through innovative channels, but there are no plans for a Halo motion picture at this time." As it appears we will not be receiving a Halo film anytime soon, but we still have much to look forward to in the future with the Halo televsion series announced by Microsoft at last year's E3. What do you think, should Halo produce a feature-length film? Leave your thoughts in the comments below. Source: Eurogamer
  7. A behind the scenes video for Halo: Nightfall was released on 343i's Youtube channel, and it contains new and interesting info about the movie's synopsis, along with the location of it's shooting. Video time! Cool stuff. What do y'all think this new info could point to? Could the baking from the sun mean no flood because they all got cooked!? EDIT: Also note that beautiful re-mastering of the song Impend from Halo 2: anniversary at the beginning. It's grand for the time we get to hear it.

  9. Check out the article Here!! I don't know if you guys saw this yet, but it seems that 343 and Microsoft are adding a new medium for Halo to invade - Film. I remember seeing something like this a few years ago, fellas like Peter Jackson and Neill Blomkamp (both franchise fans) considered producing a Halo film around 2005, but never actually got off the ground. I heard it was going to be about the fall of Reach, but I guess I will never know. Anyhow, thanks to the massive market success of Halo 4 (opinion of the game aside), it seems more likely than ever that we will see a Halo movie next to a Halo TV Series. A credible film production news host added an "untitled Halo film" to their list of films beginning production. To be directed by Ridley Scott and written by Paul Scheuring, this new project is probably the nearest thing to a legitimate Halo film we have seen thusfar. As of late, there are no clues to the plot, setting, or characters, much less if it will even make it to filming this time around. I think it will. I believe we will have a Halo film in our midst by 2016. What do you guys think? Read on if you want to know my suggestions for a good Halo film. JUST DO NOT MAKE THIS WARNING: PERSONAL OPINION The best advice I would have for Scheuring is to not make the game about the Master Chief. That may sound crazy to those not terribly versed in Halo lore, but the Master Chief is a character that was built in the books and expressed in the games. Why not feature him in a movie? I'm afraid a film would taint my image of the Master Chief (like Halo 4 did) that has been delicately developed for me through years of Halo games and novels (since the beginning in fact), and everyone knows that movies never compare to their novel counterparts. Take that Eragon movie that came out a while ago. That was hard to watch, but the books were really good. To make a good Halo film that would satisfy long-time Halo fans, Halo gurus (like myself), and noobs to the epic, make a whole new story and new characters with familiar Halo themes and settings, and make it fall satisfyingly within Halo lore without contradiction. It would be easy because very many authors have stuffed big stories into the universe without problem. I'm also open to a Fall of Reach movie, kinda as a tribute to Eric Nylund who basically built the Halo universe post CE. I'd like to know your opinions as well. Thanks for reading

  12. The upcoming God of War movie from Universal Studios is still alive, and its new script is being written by Saw series scribes Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter. Melton and Dunstan wrote Saw IV, Saw V, Saw VI, and Saw 3D. Kratos' big screen debut is being written by the minds behind the latest Saw movies. Charles Roven and Alex Garnter, producers of the forthcoming film based on Naughty Dog's Uncharted action franchise, are producing the God of War movie via Atlas Entertainment. No mention was made of a director or actors for the God of War film, and a release date has not been nailed down. In 2008, Rush Hour director Brett Ratner was attached to helm the project, but it is unclear if he is still involved. News regarding game-to-movie adaptations has been buzzing of late. Just this week, Ubisoft announced that X-Men: First Class and Inglourious Basterds star Michael Fassbender will play the lead role in the upcoming Assassin's Creed film. Additionally, yesterday, CBS Films picked up the rights to make a movie based on Deus Ex: Human Revolution. God of War: Ascension is due out in March 2013. It is a prequel to the original trilogy, and the first entry in the series to sport a multiplayer component. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=5mLAiijgaHE Article @ Gamespot.com http://www.gamespot....writers-6386418
  13. Hello everyone. I'm HaloGeek, as you all know. It seems that we have a lot of writers on this site, and that is great! A few that I can point out are D-38 Boss, BaconShelf, xD Sp4rkFloW x, and Minuette. The minds of authors bring people together, and encourage very active conversation. Our fiction writers have some of the most creative minds on the site. If you don't like their work, then at least applaud for them trying. Currently, the 'novels in progress' or fanfiction posted on the forum always takes me away from the physical world and brings me into the Ethereal- the minds of the characters. There I can see the story unfold into what it will eventually be. The reason I zone out is because the plot, the characters, the setting, are just so wrenching and real. No writer should be discouraged from criticism. In fact, that is what drives you writers on, to improve yourself. So far, the amount of thought that has been put into the works of fiction by our members is large. It gives us something to read, something to take us away from that bad day you had at school or work. Writers, fandom creators, keep going. You hold the best for the future of writing. Let nothing stop you, nothing. Because you shouldn't be writing from your brain, you should be writing from your heart, and soul. It may take a while to be able to do that, but once you have it down, your writing will be 99% better. Think of it like this: You use your brain to make the ideas, then refine them and write them with your heart and soul. I used to be a writer. My stories were good at first, but it always seemed that no more ideas could flow to my brain after a certain point. It makes many soon-to-be best selling authors give up some of their most precious and awesome stories. This entity, this thing that I am talking about is called 'writers block'. Writers block is a condition which authors are unable to produce knew ideas/work for their stories. Sometimes it is so bad, it goes on for several years and many have quit their careers as authors. But really, I got around it, before I quit writing, because of so much there is to do in life. Go outside, take a walk. See a movie, gather ideas. You can avoid writers block easily if you just take your pencil off the paper and gather your thoughts. Its as easy as that. When you have your thoughts together, put them on paper into a story. I promise you, if you just take some time off, you'll be able to produce your story 5x then what it used to be. The reason I quit was because I simply had written so much, my brain hurt when I looked at a piece of paper. Criticism. It is something that all writers or artists or cooks receive when someone doesn't like their product. Sometimes it can be constructive, which means it will help you make newer stories better, or negative criticism where it just hurts your feelings. It should never be taken seriously, at least the negative criticism because if you do, you'll stop writing. Always take the constructive seriously, because it will help you so much. It is designed to take the bad things out of your story and tell you how to improve upon them. Once they tell you, the constructiveness will form inside your brain, leading for more incredible things to be processed by the heart and soul. So, aspiring writers on the site and all around the world. Take a break and gather your thoughts. Don't think you should take negative criticism seriously. Constructive criticism is the way to go. So if you learned something today, then put the knowledge into action. Don't sit there and think you aren't able to make your book. Because you can, if you do the right things. ~HaloGeek

  20. I think that it’s about time for Halo to expand to the light of Hollywood. After hearing many years worth of rumors about Halo making it into the big screen but being canceled because of production costs. I think that it’s time to talk about it again and show Microsoft that Halo could be the next Starwars/ Transformers. With digital technology better than it’s ever been before it would be the perfect time to start filming the next big Blockbuster. With millions of fans world wide the idea of creating a Halo movie saga showcasing the beginning of Halo to now would be highly profitable. So my task to you the reader is to promote the idea of creating a Halo movie saga on the internet and with friends. And to reply to this post with ideas for the Halo saga movie and your thoughts about a Halo movie
  21. Hey guys there's this Halo movie made by fans (but they're REALLY good) and the movie was supposed to be released in 2011 Fall but I heard that it hasn't been released yet because Microsoft wanted all the money they can get out of Halo (same reason as the official movie was canceled). Check out the youtube channel of Halo: Faith with behind the scenes video: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheFaithOfficial/feed Here's a petition. I guess it's suppose to help make the movie release on youtube. Just enter the info to the left. http://343i.org/bu NOTE: I have nothing to do with the petition or making of the movie. Just a fan who wants to see this Halo movie in action! Oh and chekc out the soundtrack and other stuff around youtube. It's not on the channel, you'll just have to look for "Halo Faith Soundtrack", a playlist should come up.
  22. Hey everyone, thought some of you might be interested to hear that there's a movie in the works about MLG Halo players. It's not a documentary, but a feature film. The movie is called "Game Changers." I'll leave the link to an article about it below, as well as a link to their fundraising page if anyone wants to donate. http://www.ubspectru...77#.T4Yz1lFSR8O http://www.indiegogo.com/game-changers
  23. Hey guys! this thread is discussing your thoughts about the youtube shows of Halo: helljumper. if you dont know what it is, well first, it was a halo book but it was turned into two episodes by a low budget film team, the links to the shows are below. Episode one- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O51Uu_F-T8Q Episode two- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMez_uh5d18 The show are good, but the company has been asking fans to donate money to make future episodes due to low budget. after watching these two episodes, post what you think about it, what should they change, what should they do next, how is the acting, etc. Say anything you want. "I do not own the rights to Halo: helljumper. I am just showing you what these people made for us." We should all be oh so thankful to these people for taking big time to do this for us.
  24. I enjoyed Halo legends, but I thought it was to short for me as I have watched it over and over again, also having the different textures for each episode was unusual but interesting at the same time. I just hope that there is another Halo Legends or something similar to it. Has anyone heard of any news on a new Halo Legends or something near to it? And what is your favourite Episode? If you have not watched Halo Legends is worth a a little look at. If there is not another one atleast let there be a Halo movie, this rumour has been going on for a while that they were in the process of making it, but then scrapped it. I hear that they are making one but thats for you to decide. What will been added into this movie, or Halo Legends Episodes?
  25. Okay, so new game time. I'll say a quote from anything. The person below me has to use another quote that seems to somehow connect to the previous quote. I.E.: 1: WHAT! is the average airspeed of an unladen swallow?! - Monty Python 2: Why are you asking questions to which you already know the answer? - X-Men Thats all there is too it. You have to be able to hold a solid conversation using quotes. And you have to say what the quote is from. It can vary from songs to online shows to movies. Also, if no one can respond within a few days, I will say "Somewhere else!" or something to that effect, meaning the last person to post is winning. If your quote is unrelated, it will be considered not there. My quote is: No, I am your father. - Star Wars Episode 5: Empire Strikes Back
