  1. What new user created gametypes will become the classics. By classics I mean like Ghostbusters, Fat Kid, Duck Hunt, etc. What will you create that will become a classic for Halo 4? Heres a forge preview!

Gamertage: Death by Dogs Map: Field ch. 0 Preview Gametype: Fields Fields is a rather interesting free-roam map, You can decide to play the game like a hide-and-seek game or a traditional holdout game. The map takes place in the entire Canyon, the cave, and a section of the island where you will find may abandoned biuldings and areas ranging from a pier house to a camp site to a pipeline to a grave yard etc. At each of these points of intrest you will find weapons from earlier strugles and weapons are only found at these areas, none are in the open fields. There are only two DMRs with 0 extra clips but will be usefull if you find the areas they were left at, and one sniper with 0 extra clips also. all other weapons are assault rifles, shotguns, and a few magnums. The Story: You have been wandering these fields for multiple days, no one in sight, empty biuldings and things just left to rust. What happened here? On the 7th day you spot something on the horizon, you walk towards it and a figure comes to focus, another person. You begin to run towards them not thinking at all, and when you reach him you shoot him in the chest. Then you remove its head just to make sure its dead. You think to yourself,"They've found me..." This is going to be a series I plan on starting in halo 4 and I wanted to get some sort of a preview out to everybody. This series is going to be called "Fields".

The map can be played with all types of lobbies, but 8-16 is recommended . The map is centered around the house. Players can choose to hide in the various rooms of the house, camp out in the shack, or roam around the outskirts. There are no weapons on the map so it's just you, your shotguns, your pistols, and your buddies. Teamwork is key to surviving, for without it, you will not last very long. Note: Hope you all enjoy, and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Some adjustments are needed and some more testing is needing so stay tuned.

You progress through the gates of the prison, the cell block, the cafeteria and finally enter a large garage-like structure at the back of the building. The map is a little weapon heavy but this is just to counter the short sight-lines which dominate most of the map. At this point I am mostly looking for any feedback that people have that could improve this map and my future forging.
  5. Basically, it would be an infection variant where its the job of the "zombies" to destroy a group of escaped Mantis Men. The "survivors" would all spawn in a big room behind a one-way forcefield that would let them leave once they've boarded a Mantis (this area would also have a timed killzone on it). Then they try to stay alive. The "zombies" would be using the classic spartan models (I'm sure you can still do that) and they would all have some combination of heavy weapons, there could be an alpha zombie with a laser. if, somehow, there are loadout options for zombies, I'd call them "astronaut" (jetpack), "war hero" (hardlight), and "olympian" (uh... thruster or something, it doesn't really matter). herp derp, Portal 2 references

  7. Look into the Eyes of Flood Mode Now we can see through the eyes of these mysterious creatures. Up until this point we have only seen this picture but now we get inside of them. We get to see what will be on our HUD. And we hear a little information on the attacking style that these creatures will have. Ducain also talks about the new map called Complex, but it's a very brief analysis. Here is the video.     This is a picture I took of the map called "Lost Miners" you can find it in my file share on Halo Reach. I made it about 6 months ago and I am still trying to fine tune it. My GT is Gwam Lam btw. Enjoy. Works with zm_outbreak Game type. Still has some tweaks to work out though.

The gametype is basicly Alfa Zombies, but there are always 3 zombies at the start and there are weapons on the map which you cant pick up (The sniperrifle and the golfclubs for the light in the main room). The humans start with the pistol and the shotgun, and the last man standing has bottemless clip. Players have the option to move by foot, roaming the outskirts of the town or utilize the various vehicles around the map or players can stick to the buildings and camp it out in one of the many buildings including: Hospital,Subway,Restaurant,Car Dealership,Gas Station,Church,Police Station, Pawn Shop,Apartments a Park and a Bar. Map-Priority http://www.halo.xbox...etails=30545520 Gametype-First Aid http://www.halo.xbox...etails=30545278 Priority is a free-roam infection map/ repurposed purple bunker map/ canvas for an experimental gametype. The map's key feature is the concept of wounded survivors. Some survivors spawn on top of a custom powerup, which makes them significantly slower and unable to jump, but have increased damage and spawn near power weapons. The dynamic of this map is whether the mobile survivors will protect the injured, or leave them to fend for themselves. The aesthetics and theme are similar to my map Emergency. which is also on the forum. Priority plays great, and looks good too. It is meant for 2-16 players. This map is based off a competitive map "Battle island" and significant parts of the playable area are recognizable from the competitive map. The survivors of the battle are stranded on an island with effective but balanced weaponry due to the avialibilty of warthogs, it also includes a non-flyable falcon but with working turrets.Though inaccessible, this map also includes a background environment of an aircraft carrier which was once used in battle being blown up and sinking into the water(players might be distracted from this feature while playing). the game type features fast zombies with raised health but are vulnerable to head shots. without a warthog team, you will find yourself being swarmed, however this map includes various weaponry that you will find in expect-able areas, making the game fun and fair.

Recently, several Bozeman citizens have been reported missing, and strange noises have been heard coming from the woods around Tangier's compound. Calls to local and federal agencies have gone unanswered, so the residents of Bozeman have taken matters into their own hands. They put together a militia investigation task force made up of 4-15 local residents. (good thing 4-15 of them happen to be Spartans) Although they set off early in the afternoon, the party does not reach the edge of Tangier's estate until just after the sun has set. Some in the group are starting to have second thoughts about the whole expedition. Luckily, none of that will matter soon. I tried to compile as many monster chase/escape scenes in my head as I could. I then attempted to in-game organically re-create them with the layout of this map. The human players all start outside of the cliff mansion compound. They will want to move inside as quickly as they possibly can. Of course, just like in a film, or in real life, you can always decide to go it alone and stay outside... The house has 4 main interior floors and a rooftop. There are 8 total entrances, some more obvious that others. These entrances can be approached from a wide variety of angles.
  25. What happened to the Living Dead game mode? Back in the good old days, (AKA when you could actually play a good map and game mode, circa January 2012) I would hop on, and play a fun round of Alpha Zombies on Sword Base, then continue with the game. Living Dead was my passion. I loved it. It was fun, and everyone I talked to thought so as well. You'll understand then, why I am so bedazzled (No, this is not the correct use of the word) at why it all changed! The announcement came "We'll be including some Player-Made maps to the Living Dead game mode." I thought 'Oh, that'll be fun. Finally a chance to try a little something different.' It was alright at first. I was optimistic about it all, thinking that we were going to play Undead Village, or maybe a spinoff of Hot Pursuit. No. Instead, Living Dead took a terrible, spiralling turn, much like chivalry, of horrible forging. "Uncongealed? Spooky Base? What is this, a concentration camp?!?" Not quite, not yet. But like 1938, the tide was turning, and the scapegoat of 343's Hitlerish wrath was Living Dead. I know what you're thinking. "Did he just make a Holocaust reference?" Yes, I did. For if we don't do something, then the Reach that we know and love could well turn into the site of a Halo-caust. The fun games dissapeared. Alpha Zombies became less common, and then almost inexistant. And soon, the beloved maps that we enjoyed playing dissapeared. I figured that if I kept playing, they were bound to turn up. They haven't. Not even now. I have played Living Dead about 10 times for 2 weeks straight, and the only decent map that ever turned up was Boardwalk (which isn't that bad, except when I say only map, I mean ONLY map). I am not biased about 343, not at all. I really am looking forward to Halo 4, and respect 343 for taking on the monumental task of keeping the fire burning. I don't agree with all their desisions, but I am an optomistic person. I have posted this Topic to make my anger and dislike of what 343 has been doing to Living Dead public. I don't like the game mode anymore now. And the whole "Choose which maps we'll put up by playing them!" thing isn't working. How can we vote on a map we like, if it isn't an option? 343, if you want to do a good thing, bring back Living Dead. The REAL living dead. Because the dish that you've been trying to shove down our throats (no homo) is moldy and tastes like crap. Do the right thing, let the people decide, like on Slayer, or give us a forum to make our opinions heard. Please, listen to us. Comment below if you agree or disagree. Really, I want to know if I'm the only one out here.
