  1. It has been rather quiet around Halo 5 news lately, the only thing we got the last month was a 2 second teaser trailer that was featured in an Xbox ad (more on the trailer can be found here). Now Frank O'Conner has tweeted a link to tumblr with the hashtags #Halo5 and #HUNTtheTRUTH. There are also 2 buttons, one for sharing it yourself on Twitter and one for putting it on a calendar on a program of your choice as a reminder. Upon sharing the blog it will prefill your tweet with: What seems like the end, is only the beginning. http://huntthetruth.tumblr.com/ #HUNTtheTRUTH #Halo5 Now this isn't a countdown to the release date of Halo 5 like you'd expect since it's currently standing at about 2-3 days. What this countdown is counting down to is still unknown, but rumours are that it's a countdown to a huge reveal of something Halo 5 related and that it has something to do with Agent Locke hunting the Master Chief who may have been dubbed as traitor by the UNSC. [uPDATE] People have gone around digging in the source code and found a image that was "supposed" to be on the background which shows nothing but a few blue dots, seems pointless right? So why would it be hidden? This questions led to people mucking around a bit more with the image which resulted in this: Upper left has the word "Demons" and lower right sais "gods" which is rumoured to be linked to the Gravemind as one of his lines in the games is "I have defied gods and demons".   2. Some really exciting news, a Halo 5 teaser glimpse has been shown off giving us a savory look at what's to come this E3! So, if you're like me, you love Blur's masterful cinematic genius, and are very excited to see them on Halo 5 this year. On Xbox's channel, they released a short video showing a few games releasing in 2015, and one was a snippet from Halo 5 at the beginning. It is short, but shows just enough to get the hype juices flowing. A pelican's bay door detaches as Locke stands, back to the camera, with a Battle Rifle on his back. Oddly, the BR seems to have a white stripe on the front, unlike the new versions or the ones Locke and his team used when they met the Arbiter in the Halo 2 cutscene. From this scene, we can gather with the dusty atmosphere it is the same location in the Halo 2 cutscene and that Locke is jumping from high altitude (Wings ftw). A cool detail as well is that Locke's armor does in fact light up blue, which is something that wasn't really confirmed yet. That's all in the video besides some Evolve, Hardline, Tomb Raider, and MCC stuff, but we can assume this is an E3 2015 Story Trailer.   3. A colossal amount of information was just revealed for the Halo 5 Beta at HaloFest this year (I'm talking ALLOT of info). The whole video is at the bottom of this article. Oh, and I'm sure I got some of the information wrong, so feel free to correct me if you see any errors. Here's the gist: Everyone starts the same. Every Spartan Ability (I'll detail those later on in this article), and Weapon (starter primary, secondary, and grenades) is given to the player at the beginning. No Loadouts. Like how Halos 1-3 were played. All weapons contain a zoom feature, with some akin to ADS (Aim Down Sights). Not all weapons have this, like the DMR (the DMR is nearly the same as it's H4 counterpart Scope wise, and aesthetically). There seems to be a before, and after game animation for each Player Team that shows their aesthetics. The winning team taunts the other team in bravado. Everything listed in this article is based off of work-in-progress material in the Beta. So it's not final. The time the Beta releases makes it the earliest public Halo Beta ever released. There are a total of 7 maps that will be able to be played on in the Beta. There are now Weapons on map as in previous Halo games. NO MORE ORDINANCE. There will be three game modes in the Beta. What they exactly are is not clear, but it's certain Multiplayer is one of them. Power Weapons run on static timers. So a weapon like the Prophet's Bane comes around every 4 minutes. There's a Shield Bar, and Health Bar, but I'm not quite sure how they work. Random information from HaloFest: 343i has an internal Pro team they use to test the game. What's pretty funny is that they have Pros vs. Devs... and the Devs get completely destroyed in Halo 5 MP lol. One match was 50-4. Most of the play-testers (like Josh Holmes, some Pro players, and a few other devs) will be online playing with the community when the Beta launches. A couple celebrities came to HaloFest... like: Wayne Brady from "Let's Make A Deal" (that dude is hilarious), Joel Mchale from "Community", and Ben Schwartz from "House of Lies". Spartan Abilities / Movement & Scoping mechanics: Weapons: Maps: Allot of new armor was shown at HaloFest, but unfortunately I won't be able to detail them right now due to me already spending more than an hour on this article. The m181 main battle tank is outdated,I think that instead of the 4 sets of treads it should be two in the front on the sides that stuck forward out from the body and one in the back as there is on the think tank, and keep the main body. This week make it look more like a scorpion as it's called. Forge should allow the placement and piloting of all vehicles including pelicans and phantoms. Comment your ideas below.
  5. Since the arbiter is back I want elites in multiplayer along with odsts and marines. This should be fine like how in halo4 you work your way through the classifications. I also want the armor to be instead of fully red and blue, your character's armor colours with a red or blue band on the arm, this will make it easier to infiltrate your enemy areas and kill easier along with giving a more realistic and even camo.
  6. On HaloWaypoint, Josh Holmes posted a list of changes to Halo 5 based on the feedback they received during it's run. The changes, and tweaks listed below aren't all of them, and he states that a more "extensive list" will be posted later. Changes: Sprint, Spartan Abilities, and Mobility & Movement: Sprint, and other Spartan Abilities can be toggled off in Custom Games. Increase base speed (faster base movement) Increase strafe acceleration (faster, more responsive strafing) Reduce top sprint speed (narrow the delta between base movement and sprint) Modify Ground Pound controls to prevent conflicts w/ crouch jumping General tuning & bug fixes for all Spartan Abilities (Thrusters, Clamber, Ground Pound, etc.) Weapons: Sniper Rifle: improve scope experience to making it less “clunky” and faster to scope DMR: adjust position of the scope to improve visibility Bring back the SPNKr Rocket Launcher as a legendary version of the weapon Reduce bonuses for automatic weapons in Smart-Link & w/ headshots Remove grenade detonation in mid-air based on weapon fire Ability to turn on/off vibration feedback for weapons General tuning and bug fixing for all weapons Presentation: "Duebro" Spartan animations at the start, and end of matches will be turned down Post-death replay: this will become an opt-in feature. After death, players will see a traditional follow-cam and have the option to view a replay of their death from the killer’s perspective (as long as the feature is enabled within the playlist) Medals: decrease frequency and number of medals displayed in the medal feed Spartan chatter: players will have the option to turn this on or off in the settings menu Adding highlights to placed/dropped weapons to make them easier to see General tuning for announcer and Spartan chatter to reduce the frequency of events and focus on the information that matters most to players Ranking, and CSR: Improved skill detection during placement phase Improved skill matching Improved team balancing Prevent skill boosting General bug fixing & tuning Matchmaking: Much faster matches Better skill matching Better feedback to players in the lobby and matchmaking experiences Allow players to set desired datacenter for matchmaking (may impact matchmaking speed and skill balance) Improved party vs party matchmaking Hide CSR ranks until in match to de-incentivize quitting Punish quitters with CSR penalties and matchmaking bans Other changes: "Better Weapon placements on maps, to lighting improvements, to rule tweaks in game modes and modifications to the motion tracker to encourage more movement at higher levels of play. Our team constantly looks for ways to improve the game and we’ll continue to do so until launch later this year and beyond."   7. Hey everyone I'd like to spread some ideas of vehicles for Halo 5. Let me start out by saying that the one thing I want to see the most is a falcon. The falcon was great in Halo Reach, so why not bring it back in Halo 5. But you need to be able to ride inside of it, or add a falcon with grenade launchers. Another vehicle that would be amazing for the upcoming game would be the brute chopper. The chopper had devastating effects on any vehicle that got in its way. Some may think that's too overpowered but you have to remember that it can't strafe. The spectre and the prowler were basically the covenants warthogs and I would to see at least one of them in halo 5. Some kind of transport ship like the spirit, phantom or pelican would be nice. That is all I have for ideas for now let me know if you guys think of any other ideas.
  8. I know Halo 4 had some skins, but they were only accessible by completing the Specializations. So I thought for Halo 5 it would be pretty cool to have weapon skins which we could buy with xp/credits like past systems. It would be cool to customize your weapons to make them more personal and cooler. Just an idea though, and I hope to see your thoughts.

Weapon Name - Halo: CE Magnum What Makes it a Legendary - 3 Head shots to kill Specialties in Animation - Classic Pistol whip melee attack How to balance this weapon out - Raise the recoil in order to delay aiming time / Slower reload speed Appearance - Like the Halo: CE Magnum, just more modern Have fun.   13. 343 I would like you to understand your base of players is off of a competitive community! We do not like sprint at all... It makes the game play different we do not need it this is not COD the game does not have 10 second kill times. We are looking at about a 1 minute to 1 and a half kill time.. We don't want a super fast paced game cause halo is not meant to be that way. You need to listen to the pro player cause I guarantee if you put sprint your gonna end up with a bad outcome selling your game! Even enhancing the base speed to compensate for the sprint would be better.
  14. Pretty much every time I join a match if we ever start losing especially in breakout people just leave which makes the rest of the match pointless, 4 v 1 is just depressing and frankly peoples attitude in the beta suck and is ruining it
  15. What else is there to say I dont think sprinting ever fitted into the Halo series, neither does armor/spartan abilities and being able to zoom in with all weapons ruins the range limit on certain weapons

  17. Today, it was confirmed that Crossfire, and Trench from the Halo 5 Beta are INDEED Forge created maps on the same palette (Forge World like maps like Awash, or Impact). Crossfire is pictured above... YEAH THAT'S A FORGE MAP!!! Though I already had my suspicions. Which brings me to my next points on Forge, and Maps in general. Josh Holmes, in an interview with IGN's Ryan McCaffrey, states: Improvements to usability in Forge have been made as well as providing multiple palettes, terrain sheets, and lighting set-ups for Forgers to utilize. He indicates that there are no more plans to make more "classic" map remakes like Truth, which could mean they already have, but just stopped. Map Remixes, like Regret, and Eden, are variants of the original map that have changed geometry, flow, weapon layout, and time of day. On the topic of feedback Josh responded with, “We’re excited to be releasing this beta almost a year before the release of the game. While this is the earliest that we've done a beta and things are in a less polished state than they would be if we were releasing closer to launch, it’s important to us to get the game into the hands of fans while we still have the time to react to feedback. The input that we receive from the community will feed into our remaining development and help us to achieve our goal of making Halo 5: Guardians the best multiplayer shooter on consoles when we launch in 2015.” He continued, "We’ll be carefully considering all sorts of feedback including weapon tuning, balance for the new Spartan abilities, weapon placement on maps, audio mix, and much more. We encourage all participants in the beta to go to halowaypoint.com and sign up for our community feedback program. In addition we’ll also be paying close attention to the various community forums and social media and we appreciate people taking the time to share their impressions.” Lastly, Holmes confirmed that there will not be another Multiplayer Beta, and stated that 343i will discuss the remainder of the multiplayer suite later this year, including larger, more vehicle-focused experiences.   18. Well all I can say as of right now is that I can rapidly spam the trigger (its like another double shot br) and get a 4 shot so in my opinion the speed on when the BR fires should be reduced and this makes gameplay really fast.

Starting today you can pre-order your copy of Halo 5: Guardians so you can play on launch day guaranteed. As usual there are your Standard, Limited and Collector Editions. Each, ofcourse, with their own tier of goodies! Here are the descriptions as of now: The Standard Edition will cost around $60 and pre-ordering it will yield you a new poster to hang over your bed. Cozy nights with the MC and Locke on your side. The Limited Edition will be yours for around $100. This package will contain the Standard Edition, the poster if you pre-order, digital content to enhance Spartan combat and exclusive items within a Steel Book case. The Collectors Edition is going to hit the shelves at the price of a whopping $250! This edition will include everything that comes with the Limited Edition as well as "additional content such as a commemorative numbered statue designed by 343 Industries." More details will be shared by Microsoft on a later date. ​What's a bit odd to most people is that the list is really vague.   22. Please, with all of my heart and nostalgia. I am begging for a way to join user-created Custom Game lobbies in Halo: TMCC and Halo 5. A list of open and available lobbies for user-created game types would be at the top of my list of wishes. Please 343i, say it will be so! I want to join private super bouncing lobbies, hide n seek, cat n mouse, Trash Compactor & other creative user-created game types! I don't want matchmaking to be the only way to join a public game. And trying to find friends/friends of friends to invite to a private custom game is a huge pain when all it takes is a custom game 'server list' of available user created lobbies. There are so many fun game variants created by users! Please give us a way to host custom games and have them available to the public for people to join.   23. Throughout my halo career I have delved into nearly every aspect of the games. I have vanquished covenant, silenced the flood, and conquered matchmaking. Now a new point has come, the weight of halo and it's responsibility lay on 343s shoulders. With this moment coming, I can only voice my opinion to the new parents of halo. My concerns are first laid upon the master chief collection. All bugs put aside, it shines bright in the collection of halo, however there are larger concerns. For example, custom games. I find it very difficult to connect with the community due to the games difficult setup. One feature in particular bothers me the most. This feature is the one that does not allow other players to join in a game in progress. Not only does this frustrate me, but it also grinds the gameplay to a halt whenever someone else wishes to join in the fun. This is a basic component to the game, and certainly lowers the value without it. Next is the upcoming title 'Halo 5: Guardians'. I am interested in the story of this game. 343 has done well in their campaigns so far, but yet again I am concerned for the multiplayer. Watching the gameplay I noticed many aspects that were questionable to the seasoned halo player. For instance, the automatic callouts during gameplay made me think the game was being dumbed down. Part of the competitive edge I enjoyed about having a team was being able to communicate exclusively. The tedious timing on weapon spawns gave a player the upper hand. However looking at this gameplay makes it look like there is little room to overcome your enemy in method. Halo 5 also concerns me in its customization. I myself have always found that halo has given the most expansive customization to its players, but looking into halo 5 it seems there will be less. I talk about the elite player models. I fear 343 will yet again forsake the elite choice as they did in halo 4. Having elites available open up many different opportunities. Machinamas, matchmaking games (invasion), or even a story connection, and if none of these, just basic preference. If you have successfully made it through my lengthy complaints, I thank you for listening. I only hope 343 will take my opinion into account, for there are many others like myself, one just needs to look. -Apex

  25. :[ *Warning* This Post Will Be Very Long ]: First off i would like to ask for no trolling, no hating and no going out of your way to make someone look stupid. This thread is for halo 5 Ideas no matter how good or bad they are. Fill free to post any ideas you have. [Weapons & Equipment]: I would love to see them add all the halo weapons to halo 5. If not be able to choose what skin it has so you can say make a Storm rifle look like a Plasma Rifle. Also choose able plasma colors like with the Brute Plasma Rifles and the Elite Plasma Rifles. As well as new ones. If all the weapons would be added back some would need to be changed to make them more usable. *Focus Rifle* I think this should come back as a anti-vehicle weapon. Where it would do very high damage to vehicles but low damage to infantry. Another way I could see this is take away its x10 zoom and have it as a medium to long range rifle instead of being a long to very long sniper (I never once saw this used as a sniper in matchmaking.). *Brute Shot* I think this should have a one shot melee kill, 4 round clip (like halo 2) and do high damage to infantry and low damage to vehicles. *Concussion Rifle* High damage to light vehicles and be able to flip them, low damage to infantry with Knock back and medium damage to heavy vehicles. *Duel Wield* This need to come back I heard they were going to add it in halo 4 but they couldn't get it to work. Never the less it needs to make a come back even if its something you add for a custom load outs. *Bolt shot* Okay I have not used this since it got nerfed so I don't know how it works now. I think it needs to work in this way. Charged shot only knocks down shields or kill you if you have no shields with a overheat 2 sec cooldown. Single fire would do the less damage but higher rate of fire then magnum. *SMG* Duel-wield able and higher rate of fire then the AR and a 60 round clip with spread. (like halo 3) *ODST SMG* same as the SMG but nonduel-wield able and with zoom. *Mauler* Duel-wield able and two shots would do the same damage as one UNSC shotgun shot. *Plasma Rifle* Same as SMG but with all plasma weapons it would knock down the shields faster then the SMG but health slower. *Bring back the halo 3 equipment in ether loadouts or get them on the battlefield. You would have equipment and armor abilites. *NO MORE CUSTOM LOADOUTS* I would like to see halo reach loadout setup back. I don't like custom loadout but I wouldn't mind to much if they stayed. I just fell halo is more about finding your weapon on the field then spawning with it. Leave in being able to see power weapons on your hud. Its not fair to players who have never played on a map that other player have played on and know where all the power weapons are. *LEAVE IN ORDNANCE* I LOVE THIS ABOUT HALO 4. This is why, I am bad with a sniper. Not because I'm bad at the game but because I don't get to use it that much. Ever since Halo 4 ive gotten batter at sniping in all the Halos. ordnance gives players a chance to use a weapon and get used to it with out taking the weapon away from the players that are good with it. Before think you think just play team snipers. Think about this if you rarely use a weapon it wouldn't be fair to you if you are playing against players who always use that weapon. Some weapons you would see in campaign, firefight and custom games but wouldn't see them in Match making. [Forge & Theater modes]: *Bring back Forge world and sandbox. *Add in a new map thats FLAT with nothing on it and by this I mean something like the flat world in minecraft (NOT LIKE FORGE ISLAND). Here you would beable to place anything in the game any building, rock, mountain, ect... *Holo Mode* Okay this is what holo mode is. When you place a item (Say a Bunker box) in the ground and have it so the door is facing away you can toggle holo mode. Which would allow you to go into the item even though its in the ground. *Despawn timers* So you can make a item despawn in game. Would be fun having to run to a skull before the floor drops under you. *Toggle movement* This would let a item move in a set path or directions that you set in forge. *Firefight forge* *NPC Spawn* Not just for firefight forge but you could add them for any gametpye. *MORE items in forge* *Bring back things that where taken out in reach and halo 3 for forge* *Add things like computers and trash cans* *Changeable skins* so you can change items to look like items for Brutes, UNSC, Forerunner, Covenant, Flood and Maybe a new race >.> <,< >.> *Weather control* so you can change Day/night, rainy, snow, foggy, sandstorm and lightning. *Changable landscape* so you can change from sand, snow, grass, swamp, AND SPACE ! *LEAVE IN GREENSCREENS* *Traits on weapons* This would let you set traits to weapons in forge mode so you can have one say AR that does more damage to another AR. [Being able to make your own campaign]: *Addable Voice to Theater Mode* *Addable effects to Theater Mode* *Forge able triggers* A triggers is something you can put in in forge and it will trigger a cutscene you make in Theater Mode. *Multi Maps* After you do one thing in a map like act activate a trigger it will load the next map. [Custom games & gametpyes]: FIRST OFF FOR THIS I WOULD LIKE TO SAY.... I do not want multiplayer to have a story to it a reason why spartans are fighting spartan. I just dont want it to be on the same story as the campaign. I was told thats why they took elites out of multiplayer. *Other playerable Race* I wanna be able to choose my race no matter the same tpye from Flood, Brute, Elite, Spartan, Prometheans and the forerunner like the Didact. *Playable grunts vs marines For Invasion* Bring back games tpye that were taken out like invasion and race. *No more Custom loadout in MM* *Firefight* *Flood Firefight* Return of Coagulation. [*More gametpye options*]: here are some Increase/Decrease Weapon damage for each weapon and not just the play. Increase/Decrease how much ammo you can have in your weapon and how much ammo for that weapon you can hold. Toggle health. In halo Reach and Halo CE you could toggle shields but not health. Toggle drop flag Toggle have pistol with flag or i would also like to beable to change the pistol to any one-handed weapon EVEN A SWORD. Toggle throw Skull/bomb Changable Cool down/over heat on vehicles weapons [Vehicles]: I would like to see all the vehicles back and each race have there own verson of that vehicle as well as new ones also a flood skin for each one and changable camo skins for them. For Example: Spectre/Prowler/Warthog Also idea for a new Vehicle it was something i saw in halo custom edition a motorcycle with 2 chain guns mounted on it it would be the UNSCs Ghost. [Campaign & Story]: Lot of People want cortana back I being one of them. They could bring her back as a ghost that only chief can see I say this because she was made with human DNA. Now if they didn't bring her back i wouldn't be all OMFGWTF BBFQ WHY I HATE YOU no i wouldn't do that. >.> <,< >.> MORE STORY IN THE GAME for one thing I didn't know why I was attacking my once found ally and the only way to find this info is in a easteregg... This was a bad move. Also there was almost no story in the gameplay all of it was in the cutscenes that needs to change in halo 5. After halo 6 I would still like game with chief in it at some point. Also I would like other halo games with other Heros like I wanna know if noble 6 died or if something happened in a split second. More halo ODST games and halo games based off of the books would be fun. More spartan ops in halo 5 and more story to it yeah I know season 2 isnt out yet. Also i want it to fell more like the campaign but where its MY Spartans story. Lastly we don't know what the xbox 720 is gonna be like so halo can change alot because of it some of the thing 343 wanted to do they couldn't because of the 360 I will be adding more to this and I would like if YOU add your ideas as well. Oh How could I forget The arbiter and a playable elite campaign.
