    Halo 4 SMG

    If there is one weapon that I miss the most from halo 2, 3 and ODST, that's the SMG. The SMG, one of the most under rated weapons compared to the battle rifle and assault rifle was one of my favorite weapons of all time. I remember going around corners on Halo 3's the pit and I remember spraying everyone in sight with my duel wield smgs. I want to relive those days by having the SMG in Halo 4. I think the SMG should come out as a free DLC for Halo 4. Yes the thought of having Halo weapon DLC sounds a lot like Call of Duty BO2 revolution DLC. But in my opinion I think 343 industries should have a weapon DLC and they should bring back a weapon that everyone remembers. The SMG was a bullet hose but it was a fun gun to use. I also think since theres a promeathean SMG there should at least be a UNSC SMG to go up againsted the suppresor. There isn't duel weilding in Halo 4 but the SMG doesn't need to be dueled to be used. If 343 industires takes this into consideration I think they should make the SMG as powerful as the suppresor and they should give it nearly the range of and assualt rifle. Maybe give it half the range of an assualt rifle. If you are an SMG user and you miss the Halo SMG, reply to the page saying yes to bringing out a SMG DLC. (Also to add on make the SMG a primary weapon, NOT a power weapon).

This was a Mini-Game that I loved to play in Halo 3 and have wanted to recreate since Reach but never had the right space to do so. We've pretty much done everything as it was in 3 but changed some things up to better suit the Map and Halo 4. Now, onto the way it works. There is 1 Flood (Tank) The rest Humans (Mongoose) Simply the way it works is the Mongeese must run from the scorpion and try to stay alive for the remaining time. Each player has 1 life, when you die your dead. There are multiple rounds in a game, with hazards and jumps to go along with all this. That's about it for the way it works, quite a simple map. Map: Control Room (Link: http://tinyurl.com/coj9pyd) Game mode: Installation (Link: http://tinyurl.com/d8d5zas) Pictures here (titled Control Room - *something*): http://tinyurl.com/d3ac66l Description: This map and game mode are inspired by the last mission in Halo 3's campaign which is called Halo. In that mission you first have to get to halo's control room (installation 04B). While you're trying to get to the control room the flood will try to stop you. That is what this map is all about! I've remade a big part of the building where the control room is situated. In this map you get a spartan laser, a rocket launcher, a battle rifle, a shotgun, a magnum and frag granades as ordnance and they all resupply every 60 seconds. I've tried to edit the flood traits so that they are almost like the flood in Halo 3's campaign: they're damage resistant, they have low damage, low speed, no armor abilities, their shield don't regenerate and they can jump high so that they can move quickly from one level to another while humans have to use typical paths. Humans have normal traits. The flood will spawn above the humans and they need to work as a team. The flood usually drops down right on top of you which can scare the s**t out of you and because of the flood visual effect they kinda look like flood drop pods as they fall. The scoring is a little different from normal flood, check it out if you want to win! This game mode should be played with more than 5 players, but the more players the better it gets; but if you play with a lot of players you should modify the amount of starting flood so the game doesn't become unfair to the flood. No frame rate issues Kill/Soft Kill areas have made any area of the map that is unintended for gameplay impossible to reach. Spawn points are perfectly placed to the identical spots from the original map in halo 3. That includes Initial spawns and Standard ones. There have been no glitches recorded by any anyone who has played the map thus far. The only glitch that had been present was the 2 fusion coils that are set in the “blue room” would explode but no damage was caused, however they work on every other part of the map. These had then been replaces by wall mounted trip mines. This had seemed to solve the problem being as I couldn't do that map without explosives in that area as they are pretty much a tactical part of gameplay on the original map. One important thing to note is that, just by coincidence, the dynamic lighting does work properly but if even one piece from the forge palette (weapons can still be spawned) is placed on the map, it seems to malfunction. I have tried my best to limit the pieces and I really do feel like nothing else can be/has to be done. Again, there are NO current glitches. The map has been tested on many occasions with the suggested 4v4 and overall seems to have a nice flow and good balance to the gameplay. From what I’ve seen so far neither team seems to have an advantage over the other. All man cannons have been ensured to work properly whether you are walking or sprinting into them. There are no trait zones present. I hope you enjoy the map and it would be awesome to see it make it into matchmaking. I’ve been creating maps ever since halo 3 but never really posted them, it was more of a hobby for local customs. When halo 4 came out I wanted to play guardian because it has always been my overall favourite map. However when I went to download practically every one off the file search, ultimately I was disappointed because certain aspects were incomplete/incorrect. So I decided to create my own. I was determined to make the best remake out there. After about 5 iterations, I feel like I have done that. I hope everyone feels the same way Enjoy!
  8. Welcome to my topic! You are most likely a Halo fan if you are reading this! In this topic you are welcome to talk about anything Halo related about an Halo game, book, film and event! I am a huge Halo fan my self and I am very passionate about Halo (mainly the games) I think the story and back story's to the characters are so brilliant and the game play is so mind blowing ! I thank Bungie for doing the first lot of Halo games and 343 for doing Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo 4 (with microsoft studios) I will be happy to know any information on Halo even if i know it! Halo is one of the greatest game franchises in the world!

I like how 343 has done so far with it's map packs, but if there's one thing; just one thing i have to say i miss about Halo 3, it's the map Sandbox, and it's not just because sandbox was arguably one of the most versatile forge maps in Halo history, it's that i do really miss the atmosphere of that map. There was something awe-inducing about the red lights contrasting with the blue lights, and about night time in the desert, especially if you could block the guardians and have a vehicle war in the dark dunes. I truly can not think of any other map i'd like to see revived more than sandbox. I dunno if you can hear me 343 but i felt compelled to ask, can you give us another sandbox? I'd hate to see it stay a once in a generation experience. Any fellow players feel the same way?

  11. Do you remember, in Halo 3, the graffiti on Valhalla, depending on the day? For example, on New Year's Day, the phrase "Make love, not war" was written on a wall. What if something like this was in Halo 4? I didn't play on Ragnarok on Christmas, so I couldn't notice. But if someone can change the date on their console and check the original spot or the entire map, post here if you found something Oh, and is there an "Official 343i day"?
  12. Hello, guys. I bet you guys know about a game that came out after Halo 3 ended called "Halo 3: ODST". The game was about this particular ODST squad that got scattered during the events of Halo 3. As most of us know, the events of ODST also took place on New Mombasa(?) on Earth. Perhaps this has been mentioned before, but I wonder if we will ever see a what happened next after the ending sequence of ODST. Actually, wouldn't it be great if we could get a sequel to this gem?
  13. Halo 4 was some pluses and so negatives. Pros- -campaign was pretty good for the most part -graphics -spartan: ops, its like a new campaign every week -regicide -flood skin is great -forge is easier for a newbie Cons- -griffball - huge disappointment there. I expected many gametypes similar to reach. I expected many variations in maps but all i got were a bunch of squares with several minor changes. Even halo 3 had a map variation better than that -ordinance it promotes camping and gets rid of skill. In other halos you had to know the map if you wanted to win. You needed to know where power weapons would be found unlike now it just shows you where they are. -load outs unfair and unbalanced if u play longer you get better weapons. Everybody should start a match with the same guns. -skins should have a seperate section so i can put any skin on any armor. -mantis is over powered -no race -no multi team -no invasion -no assault -no percision forging -magnets dont always work right and can leave holes in maps -not enough small maps -not balanced starting points in maps *SPOILER ALERT* - master chief shows his eyes in the legendary ending. If any more of master chief is shown without armor it will be my last halo. Unfortunatly there are more negatives than positives. some could get fixed others will not atleast until the next halo. This is just my opinion and you may feel free to voice yours.
