  3. What if flood could drive cars, use guns, do things they've never done before. They could create a whole new gametype. Gravedanger: In this gamemode you are either flood or spartans. Both can use covenant, human, and forerunner weapons and vehicles. A gravemind has formed and the flood are becoming stronger mentally with it being created. your job is to exterminate the flood and destroy the gravemind. 16 vs 16 battles Custom game flood: In custom games there could be flood AI that could be customized for example you can have a flood move in a certain direction only or have it have no A.I ( customize), dumb A.I ( has regular flood traits) or smart A.I( gravemind flood can drive, will go after weapons, pickup weapons, drive vehicles, and steal ordinance.)
  4. Through out this summer, I've played nothing but Halo. And I played and past Halo 3 and ODST solo on Legendary twice, Reach on Heroic solo, and Halo 4 on Legendary solo and I notice I have better skill and became a better Halo Player in MatchMaking. Now I'm good with precision wepons at long range, and I Snipe way more better then I used to. It's pretty shocking lol. I did plan to play Halo: CBA on Legendary but I'm exhausted. And I will NEVER play Halo 2 on Legendary... my god, that's like your in Hell and the devil forces you to play that forever lol. :'(
  5. What is your favortie easter egg from any Halo game ? There's so many of them lol. My favorite is the Secrect cutscene from Halo: CB when you beat the game on Legendary. Johnson and the Elite were just too funny xD "This is it baby, hold me"
  6. So, i recently picked up a copy of Halo 3 again, this time it isn't going anywhere. I've played through the campaign on co-op Legendary, retrieving all of the skulls. However half way through we were not connected to xbox live and we didn't know that. After the credits i looked to see if i'd gotten Hyabusa armor, since i collected all skulls. I did, now, when i got to my house it said that i didn't have all of the skulls, i was missing one, wich is the iwhbyd skull. So, i played through it on single player, normal, because i just wanted the skull, but i put the code it, kill all of the flood and i get nothing . I have wasted a lot of time doing this. I've done nearly five playthroughs of the same level on normal, two on heroic, and two and legendary, but i'm still getting nothing, i would really appreciate help because it's getting very irritating .

After I heard of a possible halo2 reboot I was very exited halo 2 was a very big part of my life If it was coming home from a long day at school and playing it all night to the fun I had playing at the system link parties we use to have... Now Its really hard to put in words just how great of a game it was but to all the people who played it... the true halo 2 fans know what im saying when I say there was just something about it... If it was playing the competitive multiplayer to super boucing and finding new ways to get out of the maps tah tank jumping, banshee juming, tah practicing the double shot and bxr which made the game more dynamic... Now I cant tell you (343) how much it would mean to the halo 2 fan base to bring back halo 2 the Exact same way it was but it would mean alot to all of us halo 2 is more then just a game its a life style and if you can bring halo 2 back in all its glory then you will gain the biggest loyal fan base ever!!</p>
  11. Okay, halo 4 was a great game and fit the series perfectly. But the main problem I had when playing through the game was the soundtrack, I couldn't get over how bad it was, this let me down because in the past all the halo games have had phenomenal soundtracks, the songs would go with the moment and make you feel emotion towards what was happening in game, and not even in game I was let down by the title screen the most, if you go back to the halo 3 title screen and the music playing in the background it showed how deep the story was and it would connect with the player, and halo 4 was more emotional that most other halo's so shouldn't the music be the same? instead of some woman screaming at you on the title screen or music that sounded like it was from star wars playing in some of the main parts of the game? I hope that the game developers see this and think about how much passion those songs put into the game and that changing them will ruin the series if they keep doing it.

The new natural pieces make the map look more beautiful than the Ravine or the Impact pallet(there's trees in the background!) Because the map is made to replicate the original Sanctuary, I believe no-sprint gametypes would be best for it. It can also support v3 CTF and Slayer very well though. Note that this map is NOT for standard Infinity Slayer, so the kill boundaries are not edited for jetpackers. Now I know that THFE is all for new, original maps, but I believe we should give this remake a shot. Also,there's a classic version coming up, which will have the original weapons and spawns from Halo 2. I will update this thread as soon as it's done. Pictures!
  13. HALO 2 Anniversary Edition Ok so we all know the debate about HALO 2 remastered. but its time to finish the fight... with a vote! One Final Effort is all that remains my friends! Remember the game that had the best Multiplayer and Campaign? Remember the epic soundtrack that made you feel Bad4$$? Remember the game that made halo one of the most Expensive franchises of all time? well to forget It is heresy! thats why this vote will really show 343 a yay or nay answer. On march 1st will be the official answer. thats why anyone who looks at this forum should vote. Be warned though, you can only say yes or no. no I dont cares or It would be cools just yes or no and also It doesnt need to come out 2014, It can just be remastered! 343 needs to view this!so tell everyone about this forum please!
  14. NOTE: The forging here is not as pretty as I would like. I had to cut quite a few corners to fit it all in. The map takes up the entirety of the space between the two asteroids, so I had to use quite a few ugly parts. District was a map exclusive to Halo 2 Vista. I'm sure you've all seen screenshots of it floating around. Bungie had given us urban maps in the past, but they had never functioned as one might have hoped. For example, Turf was tiny, and Headlong lacked distinct streets and alleyways. District changed that; it featured a Turf-like design, but was large enough to accommodate a full-on Big Team Battle. Even though it intrigued me, I never had the chance to play district while the H2Vista servers were alive. In Halo Reach, I attempted to recreate district using youtube footage as a reference. I achieved something bearing resemblance to district, but the forgeworld framerate rendered it unplayable. This time, I had the chance to do better. I got a secondhand copy of H2Vista, and forged the map with Halo 2 on my PC, the screen positioned only a foot away from my TV. Every distance has been measured to the best of my ability, so all the dimensions should be equal to the original. Since Halo 2 seemed to have floatier jumps, a couple heights were changed to preserve crucial jump-paths. I've created two versions of the map. One features a weapon/vehicle set modified for Halo 4, and the other has the original set. Since I've hit the item limit, the map is only set up for slayer and CTF. If people want other gametypes, I can make alternate versions featuring those objectives.   16. Gamertag- BigEzkiller Map- Headlong V2 Gametype- Infinity Slayer, BTB, 1 Flag CTF. (Credit to 1 Flag CTF goes to Flying Show ILR) Description- A construction site of a new hotel and city block, located in New Mombasa, Africa is half way to completion when the covenant attacked. The city is evacuated of all civilians, only Spartans remain. This classic from Halo 2 was perfect for objective base games, especially 1 flag CTF. The entire map is not to scale of halo 2, map restrictions and lack of blocks were factors. Either way i do believe this is as close as i can personally get it. Attacking (Blue team) side has one warthog, and on mongoose. Weapons are a sniper rifle and shotgun and rocket launcher (original locations) as well as a needler and saw in two new locations. Defenders (Red team) side has one ghost. Weapons are a shotgun and sniper rifle in original locations, rockets were moved to the back base across the bridge, there is also a saw and needler in new locations. Neutral points are the banshee, sword (located on top of the crane) and laser (located under the crane. Something to note, on 1 flag CTF, when trying to score, the flag is underneath the blue base out of reach, all you have to do is walk over top of the area at the opening to the blue base. (Right in front of where you initially spawn) Please bare with that fact, it had to be done. The final attached picture is only there to show you where to capture the flag, not for looks. Also i had to make a Crane not a beam that moves cause i don't think you can make a moving beam in forge. Thanks to everyone who commented on my last submission and helped me tweak some things and get it closer to scale, I really hope it is better and everyone likes it more!!!! Back in January I forged the map while using Halo 2 PC as a guide, block for block. Like many, I have a passion for this map as it housed many great competitive outings and memories. Having presented the original version, it received many positive reviews and a ton of useful feedback. This is where I met MickRaider, who could sense my passion for perfection and my willingness to listen, learn and execute. Together we bounced the map up and back, each of us taking care of large chunks at a time. By the end of it all, the map underwent ten major version increments before becoming final. The goal of this remake was to faithfully reproduce Lockout; line of sight for line of sight, trick jump for trick jump without sacrificing visual fidelity in any way. While some remakes tend to re-imagine the map in order for it to work with Halo 4 settings and bigger party sizes, we wanted a true 1:1 experience that both works well for Halo 4 and stays absolutely true to the original. While the trick jumps and such were made to work with Halo 4's engine seamlessly, no liberties were taken in regards to map size. Instead we measured for days on end to re-create the scale of the original, right down to the amount of seconds it takes to fall to your death. While I could write a change log, it would likely reach a character limit... thrice. I can honestly say the map was rebuilt from the ground up, everything has been amended or changed for the better in some way, shape or form. Just some small examples in comparison to the original would be the addition of the cave itself, missing entirely from the beta build. The entire height of the map has been adjusted. Bridges that most fail to realize have slight inclines have been inclined accordingly. Every Halo 2 spawn has been faithfully reproduced. Every room has been redone from the ground up, literally. Every trick jump is included and act nearly the same way they do in Halo 2. Barrel balance. Railings flipped. Tweaks to glass. Walls shortened or extended. Line of sights amended. The inclusion of CTF, Oddball and King of the Hill with the exact hill properties right down to length, width and height. The Halo 4 exclusive addition of Extraction. Optimization of the lighting budget. I could go on for hours, literally. It is an entirely new map in comparison to the original, shaped by over one hundred hours of work and countless play tests through out. The end result is Lockout, as you remember it. The map can be found in my file share or by following the provided link. Blockout, a version tweaked for Halo 4's Infinity Slayer with Ordnance Drops and such will be available shortly via MickRaider.

  19. I am attempting to get this map onto the BTB playlist. My hope is that this remake is popular enough to be used in matchmaking on a daily basis. It is an improvised version of Headlong from halo 2. Now unfortunately apparently 10000 bucks and 90 blocks each isn't enough so i had to get creative on a couple of sections of the map. Either way you should recognize it and i hope you enjoy it. Any creative comments or suggestions are of course appreciated. A hotel and city square was under construction as earth fell under attack, so what you see is what you get. No refunds for already purchased rooms. Attacker side starts out with a ghost, warthog, and mongoose. Defenders start out with two ghosts. One banshee is located in a neutral location. Some spots in the map had to be improvised due to lack of blocks. Anyways here's Deadwrong, I hope everyone enjoys.

I am a huge Halo fan my self and I am very passionate about Halo (mainly the games) I think the story and back story's to the characters are so brilliant and the game play is so mind blowing ! I thank Bungie for doing the first lot of Halo games and 343 for doing Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo 4 (with microsoft studios) I will be happy to know any information on Halo even if i know it!   21. Almost a month ago, 343 Industries announced that they would be shutting the servers for Halo 2 (PC) down on February 15th. Well apparently the fine folks at 343 were not looking to beak any hearts around Valentines Day, so they've decided that the Halo 2 servers can live on for a while longer. According to David Ellis, a designer for 343, the Halo 2 (PC) servers will stay open till June, and they are exploring further support options for the title. Notice the key point to all that, 'Exploring support options for Halo 2(PC)' could the servers carry on. Well do your bit Halo 2 fans, log on and play online, show 343 that we want the servers to stay up for as long as possible. Being a competitive player myself, I also understand the balance of simplicity and complexity necessary to allow such maps to work within a 2v2 environment. In this thread we will discuss why a map could or could not work for 2v2's. Please list pro's and con's for each map presented and we will collectively add them to the OP in hopes of achieving a near perfect experience in Halo 4's future 2v2 playlist. If there is a community map presented, please share the corresponding gamertag and as much info/media as you can. A link to a post with media would be best. Below are a few to get started, please share your input and we'll amend the list in a unified manner based on community feedback.
