  1. My Gamertag: Not Donovan 4v4 - 8 players max Pavilion is a remix of the Gears of War 2 multiplayer map "Avalanche". It is made specifically for breakout and has a custom game variant as well. The game variant was created by JA50N 0! It is by far the greatest gears of war game variant in halo 5 that I have seen and played, so if you're a fan of Gears and a fan of Halo, be sure to bookmark the game variant. Weapons: 1 Hydra - 1 spare 2 Splinter grenades 2 Halo 1 magnums - 0 spare 1 Active camo Noteable game variant details: - Players can't jump - You can dash 5 times before having to recharge (like rolling in gears...sort of) - You can clamber over cover - Assault Rifle Primary, Scattershot secondary - 1 life - Tweaked shields - Reduced reload speed Side Note: Use this game variant for ALL my Gears of War breakout maps. Video of the map before textures were released: Bookmark Map here: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/map-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=Not%20Donovan#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_mapvariant_Not%20Donovan_64d0a621-355d-4706-aa9a-f8e9dbc1c865 Bookmark Game Variant here: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/game-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=JA50N%200#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_gamevariant_JA50N%200_e50929a3-5b9a-4e84-8cbe-caadc417e40d
  2. Because of all of the exciting news regarding a Gears of War Remaster, I decided to put my skills to the test to achieve a fresh remaster of the famous map known as Blood Drive ! Check out the Video for a more in depth walk-through! This map is very fun played with competitive CTF Game Types! Halo MCC: Forge Map - Blood Drive Remake (Gears of War) Video Link Below https://youtu.be/FeXa3i44n-A Let me know what you guys think, this is my first time remaking a map so please be nice hahaha
  3. According to Polygon's insider sources, Gears of War 1 is being remastered on the Xbox One, but not by Black Tusk. While we will inevitably start seeing more and more fresh content as the years go on, the current generation of consoles has had a large amount of remasters, most of them being very good, some, not so much. Polygon.com revealed that Gears of War 1 is soon to join the Xbox One's roster. They stated that it will be a full remaster with new cutscenes designed by Plastic Wax animation studios, and apparently, Polygon got a glimpse of these. A test build is rumored to go live at 9PM EST tonight, so we may see it soon enough. Sources still cannot confirm whether this will come as a bundle or as a standalone title, or if it's even releasing on-disk. What we can confirm, however, is that Brink developer Splash Damage studios will be creating the remaster with help from Black Tusk. Releasing a remaster would make sense considering next November is the 10 year anniversary of Gears of War 1. View attachment: 1223380202844603683.jpg I'm personally very excited to see the new and improved version of one of my favorite video games of all time. I loved the dark tone and inventive settings Gears of War 1 brought us, with a great story to boot. I'd rather see a fully fledged remake of Gears of War 1 though than a collection of all 3 with a simply 1080p 60fps makeover. What are your thoughts? Comment below, I'm eager to see.
  4. The newest entry in the Gears of War franchise from Black Tusk may return to the series's darker and more morbid roots according to Phil Spencer and Black Tusk. Details on the newest title in the Gears of War franchise on Xbox One are incredibly scant, and now we have a small bit of detail to add to that nothingness! IGN.com reports that Phil Spencer is in talks with the new studio behind Gears of War to return the franchise to it's dark roots in the first three games as compared to Judgment. Phil said on the subject how he adored the franchise's, “epic scale, the settings that I was in, the massive destruction moments. It was more what I would call soulful and maybe even a little dark.” This could possibly mean that grittier and dirty moments like the point blank executions in Gears of War or the unique gameplay sections (like fighting the Corpser in Gears of War 1, or riding the large human vehicles in Gears of War 2) may return. On top of this, Phil expressed how he understood the complaints with Judgment, but focused on the future of the franchise for the next decade. He also confirmed the game would not be a reboot, making way for a sequel, prequel, or spin-off to Marcus Fenix's stories. So far though, no details like a release date, plot, game title, or characters have been revealed, and it's likely we won't see much too soon. View attachment: gowlogoyellow.png Do you have faith in Black Tusk returning the series to it's origins in darker and more involving storytelling? Let me know below! Sorry I've been gone folks, I'm trying. Peace out! View full article

  6. Sorry for the day of delay, I've been extremely busy, but now it's back, and will follow a Saturday cycle instead of Friday due to my inability to work on this during the weekdays. Now, this week we have again three major articles for your reading entertainment, enjoy! View attachment: WNW 42614.JPG E.T. On The Atari 2600 Dump Found in New Mexico The most infamously bad game of all time is arguably the E.T. Video Game on the Atari 2600 from 1982, which broke records with it's immense worldwide panning and reputation, enough to send millions of copies to alleged landfills in New Mexico. According to IGN.com, who was on the scene, these rumors are in fact true, and many copies of E.T., along with other Atari 2600 games that bombed in the sales department, are buried in a large landfill in Almagordo, New Mexico. The filmed documentary of the finding of these games will be released exclusively to Xbox One under Avengers Writer, Zak Penn. Gears of War on Xbox One Job Posting Listed on Microsoft's Website Since up and coming studio Black Tusk took over the Gears of War license, acquired from Epic Games by Microsoft, news has been slim on the new project, besides the confirmation of long-time Producer Rod Fergusson's work being done on the new project. On Microsoft-careers.com though, we have a job listing for a Senior Rendering Engineer for the project, requiring 7-8 years of experience in Video Game design, and 2-3 years of experience as a Senior Graphics Developer, and being able to work on two consoles. In the listing, they even include the Xbox 360 and PS3 as examples, leading to the possibility of it being on the Xbox 360 as well as the One. 7. Hey guys as most of you have probably read on the news page Microsoft has bought the rights for Gears of War and "tasked" Black Tusk with creating games for it. While I am not happy about this I want to know your guys opinion on it. Do you believe that Microsoft is going to pull a Capcom and start having them put out "Cash-In Games?" (Cash-In Game is a term that I use to describe games that were put out on the game market for the sole fact that the company knew that the franchise name alone would guarantee sales ex: Call of Duty or in other words the company do not have to put in any effort to make the game replayable or a "good game" in the sense that the majority of players would call it well made or basically some title that the company can CASH IN on.) so my question to you guys Do you believe that Microsoft is going to turn Gears of War into a Cash-In Game? [ ] Yes [ ] No
  8. Microsoft has bought the rights to Gears of War from Epic Games and has given their game studio Black tusk the task to continue making new games for the franchise polygon has reported. Rod Ferguson who was executive producer and director of production at Epic Games has joined Black Tusk to aid them in further production of the Gears of War franchise, he will be working along side the studios manager Hanno Lemke. Ferguson spoke to polygon about this new turn of events. "I'm extremely excited to be joining Black Tusk Studios to oversee development on the Gears of War franchise," Ferguson said to polygon. "I've been privileged to work on a lot of great games with a lot of great teams, but Gears has had the most impact on me professionally and personally, so this really feels like a homecoming. I can't wait to share more with you all soon."
