  1. Hello everyone I would like to make a topic speaking a little bit into the future, the future being Halo 5. I have a few unlikely ideas for H5, but that's what I want this to be about. Unlikely, cool-if-it-happened, kind of things. Things that are probably not going to make it into the game, but you would talk about it all week if they did. I have a few ideas... Pulse field (new AA): Startup time and recovery time like autosentry/regen, range slightly less than regen field. Sends out a strong pulse of kinetic force that pushes upwards and away on everything around it. Vehicles, teammates, active grenades, you name it. Could provide a BLAMing awsome solution and punishment for splatter-happy ghosts, make for some great grenade theater clips, and force enemies to stay away from cliffs. Drop Pod: ONE ITEM in forge. get in, nullifies fall damage, breaks off when you hit the ground. Vehicle pods could also drop vehicles, nullifying fall dmg, and a timer could be set on when the pod drops after being activated. Small splash dmg to nearby enemies, death if dropped on someone's head. Damage Despawning: Set a dmg value on any forge item. When it takes that amount of dmg, it despawns with the forerunner 'disintegration' effect. Collapsing buildings made easy! Halo spleef made way more awesome! Vehicle Constructors-: Forge-only single-use items, costing as much as their respective vehicles. One type for every vehicle in the game, another for random. Replaces grenade. carrying cap of 1. Use to digitally construct a vehicle on yourself, Tron Lightbike style. Useful in obstacle corses as well as creative maps.   3. With Sector 7 being a new clan all new members will have a special recognition. This clan started awhile ago, but errors and complications caused it to fail. This clan is for TRUE HALO FANS ONLY! If you play Halo just for the killing, then you my friend are better suited for Call of Duty. When I say true halo fans, I mean people who accept common halo knowledge as things like MC's name is John, Sam was one of the first Spartans killed by the covenant, Spartans were captured at around age 6, and Spartan IV's are recruited ODSTs and marines. Although you might not know that the flood was a disease started when Precursors dissolved themselves to preserve them until after the precursor-forerunner war was over.

Map: Deflect Gametype: Deflect Map Palette: Forge Island Creators: Unit 50079 and Unit 526 Supported Gametype: Flood Open on file share Objective: Humans spawn in a safe room covered by one way shields. The room has a soft kill barrier. A flood controls a gauss warthog cannon and you must deflect his bullets with your hard light shield. It is hard to hit the warthog, but teamwork and intelligence WILL help you survive. Other: There is an aesthetic camp on the medium island and a forest on the large one. BTW there is no link because I posted this on my iPad and the linking is hard, so THFE please PLEASE showcase this, me and my brother have worked hard to put together this map and we have planned carefully before forging. The objective is for humans to go around with shot guns surviving as long as they can while the Invisible flood come from above attempting to kill them.   7. Halo 5 wish list and ideas this topic will be seperated into sections Forge Ideas I have some prett good idea's (atleast in my opinon) for forge. Forge Dimensional veiwer This is an option that must me selected before the game starts or by pressing start during game. Lets take "Sandtrap" for a example. When I go and select it It gives me a list on how the world may be veiwed. like for example "Desert" when you select it it will either change all the texture's to be worn down or like how it looks right now. you can select Wasteland or Hotsprings and it will change it to a snow dessert place (Like all the sand to tundra and structure's to a crystal ice Land pockets i'm going to shorten this becuase I acccadently lost all data but in thisit is like making regular forge objects. This create's a small peice of land like the grid and puts some shrubs on top of if it is a forest of plains area. These reflect the maps theme. On the bottom is is dirt. These may have to be limmited. Add some smaller details! Dont get me wrong I love building big structure's but sometimes they seem empty. Halo 4 did a good job on helping with details like dominoin but lets have some more like wooden crate's ect. Add some sort of working door system I am probably not the only one but when I place a door I might actually wnat it to be there not just a wide gap. I wouldent use these in online exept in Zombie game type. I dont care if you put in a small tiny sheild in it just do something with it! Game Type's 1. In zombei's you could have a specail map that you could either place wide open doors to working openable ones. When you first start you are spawned in a spawn room in two group's. to get them to exit the room and explor the map we will make it extremly easy for zombei's to enter in. for example a tunnle way up high in the room where they cannot get into but only out. the doors would have a small terminal beside them. To acces the door you will need to use this. press x and it will open. Misc 1. Add a HUMAN flying vehicle This thread will update when I think of more idea's
  8. Hey guys, this is my first competitive map ever on Halo 4. I used to make mini game maps, but I decided to step out of the boundary and push forward my talents. Here I present you, Outposts. Gamertag: HAv0c99 Map: Outposts Gametype(s): Slayer, KoTH, CTF The map is basically a narrow map which has two bases on opposite ends, with a mini base located in the middle. It contains many weapons (but are balanced), and 4 mongoose vehicles. The map's prime gametype is CTF, but it also supports KoTH and Slayer. It's new and improved.   9. Hey Guys, Just wanted to get a little feedback for my map, Omission. This is the first truly quality map that I have made on Halo 4, I spent hours on it. Made a few on Reach but none of my friends are really Forgers so they were somewhat undermined. I have some friends that really love it, it is designed for Halo 4 matchmaking and I can honestly say you will not be disappointed if you decide to take a look. I'm really looking for feedback and ideas to make the map better, so if even some people could download it it would really be appreciated. Name: Omission Game-types: Slayer, Infinity Slayer, SWAT, CTF and KOTH Best with: As many players possible. Description: Symmetrical map set on a UNSC research base/laboratory that studies planetary rocks. It is a map and gametype that I made for those who wish to play Baseball in Halo 4. It features a dug-out, a pitcher's mound, three(3) bases and a home base as well as base lines. Because the maximum player limit in Halo 4 is 8 vs 8, there is no catcher unless the fielding team is up to the challenge of losing a fielder. There were many issues discovered when play testing this mini game such as the difficulty to hit the ball with the "bat"(gravity hammer) because of the automatic pickup of the oddball. To counter this, I have turned automatic pickup OFF. Although this puts fielders at a slight disadvantage. I did try trait zones, but they do not allow to change automatic pickup as it is a gametype setting rather than a player trait. This map is made on "Ravine" and because the area to play in is quite small, I have added what I call the "Homerun Line", which is basically a line that surrounds the walls around the field at about the halfway point. In MY ruleset, if the oddball hits the wall above this point, it is instantly a Homerun. As this is not part of the actual game, you can change this as you please. The red team spawns in the fielding positions while the blue team spawns in the dug-out. There are nine(9) innings (rounds), each lasting twelve(12) minutes. This gives enough time for five(5) minutes as fielders/batters and two(2) minutes to switch sides. Thanks to everyone at THFE for teaching me the best forge tips out there.   14. From time to time I pop in H4 to see what is up w/ matchmaking. Today I played a handfull of Double Team games and found it overal really fun! Along w/ last weeks forge playlist, I feel H4 playlists are really starting to grow the way they should.. With the upcomming H4 "Team Throwdown" playlist (Team Throwdown (Competitive Playlist) is scheduled to launch February 18th.") there has to be a lot of people super hyped about this:D Well anyways with AGL Chicago just a little while ago, many AGL events to come, Team Throwdown soon, and a CSR system to be released...see Halo continuing to grow for the competitive community into something that feels like home with how I felt during the H2 days.. hopefully. <333 We just have to keep those RT's going on people looking for customs, along with all the forum posts on people looking for customs.   17. Gamertag: OT7OM4N Map: Cr4zy Cannons Evolved Gametype: Cannonballs (Regicide) Description: An advanced re-make of the classic Halo 3 map, Crazy Cannons, only watertight and upgraded. Based on a Regicide Gametype allowing for leader tracking, randomised cannon location spawning and double the cannons than the original this map takes crazy to the extreme. Objectives: A free-for-all gametype with random weapon allocation mechanics makes this a game of both skill and chance. You could start with a Boltshot and a Plasma Pistol or a Incineration Cannon and a Binary Rifle. The aim of this is simply to get the most kills in the 10 minute game. Although a Regicide Gametype there will be no bonus points for killing the king nor for any other accolades. 10 points per kill, plain and simple. No point penalty for suicide or respawn delay and there is no way to get out of the map, it is watertight. The king will appear as green whilst other players always in blue. Initial spawn all players will be red but no damage will be taken. All respawns will be invisible for two seconds to give them an edge and allowing them to get back into the game. The map has the spawn capabilities to accommodate a maximum of 8 players however this will play extremely hectic and may be a bit too much to handle. Here are the levels of crazy based on number of players: 2 players - Target Practice (Slowest pace) 3-4 players - Crazy (Constant flow of players) [Optimum] 5-6 players - Insane (Heavy flow of players with lots of clashes) 7-8 players - Mental (No chance of streaks and puts crazy to shame) Remember this map relies heavily on randomness so there may come low points in the match but nothing that can stop the match with a stalemate.   19. Gamertag : Suryantoko Map : The FALLING FLOOD! Gametype : FALLING FLOOD! Recommended Player Count : 8 - 16 THIS FLOOD MAP IS LIKE NO OTHER, most flood maps have a 'head 2 head hide in a building to survive' infection map. But this is different. FALLING FLOOD takes place in the Ravine of the map Ravine. Flood have to parkour their way down the Ravine and tactically kill the Spartans from above. Kind of like Ezio going for an assassination. Spartans spawn on the bottom of the Ravine and try to survive while Flood try to mutilate them above. The game is in 3 levels, Flood have access to 3 teleporters, which will spawn according to when the next level is ready for Spartans. Each teleporter sends you to different spots in the level. E.g teleporter one will send you to 3 spots on level one and Flood make theyre way down from there and so on for the next 2 levels. Each level the Spartans will have to hold the area until a passage or teleporter will spawn. WATCH ABOVE SPARTANS, FLOOD KILL THEM FROM ABOVE!

  22. Download: BaDaSsBaS1L1Sk 's fileshare Gametype: Mad Dash Map Variant: Mad Dash I wasn't really sure if this counts as competitive or as a mini-game!!! Mad Dash is a fun CTF variant built in the Grifball Court. It comprises of 4 Bases (one in each corner) for each of the 4 teams (Red, Blue, Gold and Green). Each base has: 4 Initial Spawns, 4 Respawns, Dominion Shields (Protecting the door and Ceiling)and 1 Dominion Turret on the roof. In the centre of the room there is a small sandbag emplacement with 4 mounted machine gun turrets, one facing each base. The gametype is set up so that each player has random weapons, a hard light shield, 3 second respawn times and unlimited lives. The match will go on for an unlimited time until a team has scored 5 captures. Please inform me of any bugs, glitches or improvements I could make to this map. Thank You!
  23. CGN is a thread and movement dedicated towards bringing the community together through custom games. Many times players want to play a few customs, but without the hassle of setting up an event and such. This thread is to be used as a one stop solution to on the fly matchmaking. We will also feature main events in which you can PM me to add. Next main event: Saturday February 1st, 2013 9:30 EST Gamertag: YamaMX Event: Throwback Night | Various forms of gameplay on classic maps! Customs can be found through two different methods: Using this thread to matchmake for on the fly customs Scheduled events / game nights When attempting to matchmake, please post in the following manner: Gamertag: Your Gamertag Time: Now, 5:00pm EST, etc. Preference: Anything, 1v1, 2v2, FFA, CTF, etc. In an attempt to keep this thread both active and current, please do no post days in advance. Only events should be planned ahead of time, other forms of matchmaking should be the day of. Other uses of this thread can consist of summarizing your experiences.   24. Th3 Bl1nd n1nja Map Name: The Mongoose Zombies Gametype: Mongoose Flood Brief Description: This is an infection style game where humans must drive to stay alive. Humans will spawn (with pistol and shotgun) near 8 mongooses and a rocket warthog. The goal is for the humans to drive around the map killing zombies and trying to survive until the time runs out. Zombies spawn in the middle of the map on a giant rock, where they can man-cannon to most of the map. Zombies have a choice between thruster pack, pro-vision and active camo. Zombies cannot run as fast as the vehicles but when they thruster pack they can glide along the floor at high speeds (tap the jump button continuously after using thruster pack).   25. Back in the good ol' days of Halo 3 (2007-2010), I used to be a Forge machine. I'd make tons of maps that were eye candy, and played amazingly. I'd get full lobbies of 16 people regularly. It was a blast. Did I mention I had over 10,000 custom games played? Well, now I have. In 2010, Bungie released Halo: Reach. Custom games weren't as spectacular to me as they were in Halo 3... I had played just over 100 custom games... Not nearly as much... Then a new god was born Halo 4 came out... Oh Halo 4, how I love you so. With Bungie passing the torch on to 343 Industries, a new mindset was born. (Yes, I know some of 343i's employees were former employees of Bungie)... Dynamic ("(of a process or system) Characterized by constant change, activity, or progress") lighting was introduced, allowing players to create some spectacular maps with nice lighting. We've taken advantage of this. >:] Our goal was to make a map that would keep player's on edge at all times, while making a creepy environment. With dynamic lighting (thank you 343i!), this was a simple task to accomplish. Though I had to work around the ($10,000) budget on "Impact", and not break the lighting (if you put down too many objects, the dynamic lighting literally shuts down and the whole map glows white...), my goal was accomplished and 'Slaughter Subway' was born! We've torn through multiple versions of the map and have play-tested it with randoms online, and now feel happy with the finished product. So I thought I'd come to my favorite forum and see if anyone would like to try it out for themselves?
