  1. Halo 5 has huge potential with custom games and forge, and so many people have made incredible maps. I'm sure we've all seen flapjack frenzy! However, there is a fatal flaw with custom games that prevents a lot of maps from being played the way they were meant to be.Player stats/traits are the same for EVERYONE! There are no leader traits in Halo 5, or any way to make one spartan/team different from another! This severely limits and game types/maps that require one or more players to be stronger or weaker than another. One example is Slenderman, where one player is supposed to be the invulnverable Slender Man that hunts the other players as they run and hide.But if the Slender Man is invulnerable, then so is everyone else. So players have to use honor rules for this to work. This fatal flaw prevents a lot of maps and game types from being played properly and I hope 343 sees this because it is such a small, manageable addition that would add SO MUCH to Halo 5's Custom games, and Forge.I go into more detail in this video:
  2. Resolute Bury the enemy in the grave they so happily dug! N3gat1veZer0​ This is Resolute, my favorite map in Halo 5 I've made. It's a covenant themed asymmetrical map set in a cave. I decided to mimic Halo 3's Assembly style of covenant when making this map. The pinker side of the Covenant is one I haven't seen in forge maps yet. The map is multi-layered and houses a rocket on the center structure, active camo on the mid level off to the side and a one-clip scattershot near the opening of the cave. There is also a teleporter below red side that leads to the top near blue. The map is set up for Strongholds, CTF, Slayer, and Neutral ball modes. Thanks to the iForge team and the Spark Forge Network for helping get some test lobbies together for the map. You're awesome! Please let me know what you think.   3. Now, this map was made way back last year around July. On Halo 2 Anniversary. I liked the map, as well did others. However, with MCC's terrible stability. It didn't seem to last. Now, with Halo 5 out and the servers that beat MCC to a pulp. I decided it was time to do a map, however I decided I wanted to do a remake. Of Salient. Mainly because I never could do Scrimmage... Here's a preview of the sketch of the map, as I've shown you all before: Now, before I show you the make of the map and everything. Let's go over the details. The map supports 2-8 players. Medium Sized map, Breakout oriented. Strongholds, CTF, and Slayer are all compatible on this map as well. It is symmetrical. There are also named locations throughout the map. Everywhere you go, has a callout. Featured Weapons on the map: 4x Frag Grenades, 2x Plasma Grenade, 4x Splinter Grenades, 2x DMR (0x Spare ammo), 2x BR (1x Spare ammo), 1x Hydra Launcher, 1x Active Camouflage, 1x Flag. However in game modes that are NOT Breakout, the following are available: 4x Frag Grenades, 2x Plasma Grenades, 4x Splinter Grenades, 2x DMR (1x Spare ammo), 2x BR (2x Spare ammo), 2 Storm Rifle, 2x Boltshot (2x Spare ammo), 1x Scattershot. However, unlike the previous Salient. There is gadgets, terminals in fact. However they do not do anything, they are merely appearance/decoration. Alrighty, now that that's all clear.   4. A remake of Halo 3's Sandbox. The map has been scaled up to accompany Halo 5's new mobility tricks. Features 2 snipers, 2 rockets, a shotty, an overshiled, 2 g hammers, and 2 detached rocket turrets. Each base is also equiped with a ghost, hog, gungoose, and standard goose.   6. I have made a tutorial on how to get inside the Halo 5 Hammer Storm update's Drop Pod. It's easy to do and works out... interestingly. Check it out for yourself! https://youtu.be/iTPpR77xkRY Yes it is a glitch and it is buggy, but so is vehicle welding. This is the chance for the community to take this one step further. Can we make this dream and this bug more of a reality in how we start this? If we script it a certain way, it might be possible. Who know. Potentially in the future, maybe we can use scripting to weld objects together. We'll have to see what 343 does.I want to thank the person who helped me discover, test, and volunteered to be squished into a drop pod over and over again, Fred 104 SII. He's awesome. There is currently some things in the work, such as scripting the pods to squish a player in automatically, dropping them with scripting (not normal physics), and then seeing if they can climb out with a vehicle near by. Another person said weld it to a mongoose and I might try that at some point soon. See how that looks. I will be running more tests today.   7. When remaking Damnation, I didn't want plane ol' purple blocks everywhere even though that's pretty much how the original was. So, I borrowed some styling from Halo Reach's Penance while keeping the original pathways the same. The map looks incredible. The map's padded weapons are a sniper and a SPNKr Rocket. I've kept the shotgun and active camo, but the overshield was just too much. I scaled the map to play well with Halo 5's new mechanics, and play well it does. This way you don't have to bother with classic settings. The new Halo 5 Spartan Abilities compliment the map incredibly well. They go together like peanut butter and jelly. The water falls posed a bit of a problem. Alpine's natural waterfall is too enclosed to use so I improvised. There are now three pipes that have covenant plasma flowing out just like in the Halo CE mission Keys. You may remember the green gooey stuff leaking from the ship. The map has a pool of the stuff below the mid area. As for the Covenant theme, Penance was my main source of ideas. I went with a lighter purple glass instead of the typical orange or blue simply because I thought it clashed too much with the green plasma pool. I am constantly reworking the map trying to revise parts and reduce object count so i can add more detail to the plane purple blocks I set out to avoid (unfortunately pulling of a convincing covenant theme requires a lot of objects). Needless to say, be sure to bookmark, so that way you always have the most up to date version. Pictures and paragraphs won't do this map justice. The best way is to see it for yourself.   8. I'm just wondering if 343 will add more interesting vehicles to Forge and Multiplayer, and I think some players would like to see these types of vehicles useable (I know I do!). Covenant Phantom UNSC Pelican UNSC Hawk UNSC Elephant These are just some ideas.
  9. I hope I have posted in the right forum..... Hi there, I am building a map variant (and will later design a game type variant to go with it) for a 1-life, round-based game where it is 1 versus many. I need a specific weapon (Energy Sword) to respawn at it's original location and orientation each time the lone-wolf player dies and the round restarts. The lone-wolf cannot spawn with a sword; they MUST go get it. Any ideas? Am I missing something?
  10. When ever I interact with a switch in forge, the switch will move back to the location it was created. This means you can not position them at all. I like the updates made to scripting, but this bug makes scripting almost useless. It would be nice to see 343 acknowledge this as a issue.

I created a Forge map on Ravine a while ago, and I'm having people over for an old school LAN battle, so I went to tweak it, but when I highlight the map, it somehow shows a different map I created on Erosion. When I load into the Ravine map (which I simply named Snipe), it loads a completely different map I created on Erosion (called Griffball Ramps). Does anybody know how this happened/if I can get the map I'm trying to use back?
  13. Hello everyone, I'm Lemon, my favorite game is Halo 3: ODST. I was really exited to hear that ODST was coming to MCC, this is actually why I bought the xbox one. What a disappointment when I learned that firefight and forge would NOT be included with the game. I have to use my old 360 to play an old game with old graphics when my xbox one is there lying being useless ? It makes no sense. Either I play the original version and I'm disappointed or I play the new one and I'm disappointed. I understand that you are "focused" on developing Halo 5. But you just released MCC. You're making more instead of making the best."We are halo fans" that's what you said. So, when is Firefight coming to MCC ?
  14. As most of you may know, Yoshi and I have been making forge maps for the Community, and hosting them on my file share. The first attempt we tried was Scrimmage. Which was actually finished by SikSlik, but the concept was by myself. Featuring 1v1 style combat, that could fit in a 2v2 respectfully. Next up was Salient, a concept by me and created by me. Featuring a 2v2 style combat map, that could fit a 4v4 respectfully. As you can see, those had some good pull through. Not the best, but not the worst. What Yoshi and I are trying to do is create more concepts, and apply them into forge. To create some competitive style maps for everyone to play on and enjoy. Well first up on our list, we have a map that will be named: Terrace The map is basic style combat, idea was based off of a Halo: Reach map. A name I can't think of, but was a community forged map that was premiered in Team Slayer. Next up we have a map called: Viaduct. The map design is simple, and it's pretty colorful and visible. While at the same time proving protection and symmetrical combat. Next up we have a map called: Polyandrium. Another symmetrical map concept, that provides plenty of fire, and small vehicle combat. This will be one of the larger scale maps. 12-16 player size, to be exact. This one will take longer, but hopefully more enjoyable to play. Next up after that we have: Foyer. I know what you're thinking, and the answer is yes. We are making another map that is not symmetrical. Terrace isn't the only one. That's because we want to provide maps with mysteries wherever they go, as well give off a mysterious aura. We like the concept of this map for the open areas, as well as the amount of coverage. Allowing players to travel at their own risk, kind of like a Halo 3 Citadel feeling when you're out in the open. Last but not least, we will attempt to remake the H:CE famous map: Chiron Tl-34. This one will be easier to attempt and such, but we're not putting this as a priority map. This is more of a lax, sit down and have fun map. Although settings are different, we are hoping we can give the full feeling of the original map. Minus the flamethrower, of course. We hope you all look forward to our future creations! You are welcome to help if you wish! However, we do not tolerate players who are intentionally destructing the map. You will be kicked from the lobby if such a thing happens.
  15. So this map was simple, something I made way back on Halo Reach when the game first came out. So around 2010, is when I first had the idea. Well, here recently. I though I might recreate the map, and give it some of the newer specs of what forge has in mind for us. Which is exactly what I did. The map setup and structure is the same, nothing new has been added. However, there is no Spartan Lasers of course. Anyways, I'm going to start off from the first chamber. All the way to the last chamber. The map is setup on a timer. Each chamber the survivors have to defend themselves, until a gravity lift spawns and they are able to head to the next chamber. Each player has random weapons, while the Alpha Zombie has 2000% Resistance but 25% speed. The Alpha Zombie is the only one with an Infected Sword. Which increases lunge range. Standard Infected have Energy Swords. Chamber 1, your spawn chamber. From here you can see heavy resistance. Barricades and shield door. You can also see the teleporter, and no gravity lift. This is the initial start of the game. The 1st chamber features close quarter guns. Plasma Rifles and Assault Rifles, that's about it. The Gravity Lift will spawn in, and you can continue forward. However, in the H2A version of this game; a yellow light will also appear to indicate the grav lift spawn. Chamber 2. As you can see, all there is is just Jersey Barricades, short. With Covenant Carbines and Battle Rifles on them. Which come in handy when you need them. Chamber 3. Now, this is where things start to get different. As you can see, there's a One-Way Shield door in the way. So once you're through, your through. Good for camping, unless a zombie decides to find you. Also, take note that this is known as the grenade chamber. There's a pile of 64 grenades on the floor. 32 frag, 32 plasma. Up for takes, if you need them. However, they're extremely close to the One-Way Shield. So be careful if you want to spam. Also, this chambers gravity lift has transformed into a UNSC man cannon. Chamber 4. Known as the precision chamber. If you look along the wall, you can see there's Beam Rifles and Sniper Rifles. As well as Shields to protect the flood when needed. Good for swarming the enemies. However, the flood/infected would be wise to not let the enemies get this far. The gravity lift in this room is now a Vehicle Gravity Lift, since the teleporter is located on the ceiling. Chamber 5. The survivor stronghold. There's a Machine Gun Turret Fixed, Machine Gun Turret Detachable, a Plasma Turret, and a Gauss Turret. As well as Rocket Launchers and Fuel Rod Guns underneath the stairs. This chamber is where survivors can stand together to overcome the enemy. That is, if there's enough of them left alive. Which the infected would be insane to let such a thing happen. There is a teleporter that spawns in here as well, but requires you to run all the way back to the entrance of the chamber, which is suicide. However, a green light indicates the spawn in this version. Starting in chamber 3, all teleporters have been modified from the original version. The teleporters are now floating in the air. And a forerunner gravity lift is right in the entrance. This gravity lift picks up any of its surroundings, and then pushes them forward. Like a vent, sort of. This is to prevent assassinations. If you decide to go through the teleporter in Chamber 5, which takes you to the Infected Spawn Area. So you might wanna get out of their quick. This teleporter is also connected to the Initial Floods (Alpha) spawn. Which is located off the map, and once left. You can never return. It's much more of a slow down for survivors to get a chance. Unless they want to become infected. Also, notice the man cannon spawn. There is a total of 3 of these on the map. Each of them aren't initially spawned, but they start to appear after survivors reach chamber 4. They all spawn when the survivors are at chamber 5. These man cannons are just to help the Alpha Infected reach the survivors faster. Anyways, that's about it. The files are on my fileshare. My GT is L Fishy L. Enjoy! If you don't know how to do the search system yet. Here's how: Launch MCC > Open Roster By Pressing "X" > Click On Your Name > Select Find Player > Enter Gamertag.
  16. I'm not even sure if Forge is going to be in Halo 5, but if it is, wouldn't it be cool if there was a city map for Forge? It could have buildings that you could go inside and climb up, and the buildings could be a bit destroyed like if there was a battle there and you can shoot from a broken wall. You could also add stuff to alter gameplay and other stuff. I don't know if something like this has already been done, but it would seem cool to do it.
  17. For Halo 5 Forge, I think they should let you spawn more vehicles, especially aircrafts. As of Halo 4, the only flying vehicle in forge is the banshee. they should have drivable Lynches, Phantoms, Pelicans, and a return of the Falcon, this time the one with the guns. So what do you think? What vehicles should they add? Are there some that you think they should take out? Leave any comments below.

  19. So I decided this Morning that I would go on a hunt to find all the Classic Halo 3 Maps from Pre-MCC and download them for whenever I would decide play good ole Custom Games again. Or when ever I get gaming internet back... AHHHHHHHH- While Looking I could not find a single mention of 30 Days of Night for The Master Chief Collection. So I decided to make it. 30 Days of Night is set on Cold Storage with only 1 infected throughout the entirety of the round. The Infected starts in a box and the Survivors spawn in front of him. The Infected has Good Camo on. Survivors start with an Assault Rifle and Shotgun, but trust me, you'll be using the shotgun the most. It IS possible to get inside the infected's box, but that is not a wise decision. After 30 Seconds, the map will dim and a few doors will lock themselves with Energy Shielding. If a survivor hasn't gotten to a hiding place now would be a good time to do so. After another 30 Seconds, The Lights will almost completely go out, leaving the map in a very, very dark state. Most of the Doors on the map will lock, leaving few pathways for all players to take. A gravity lift will also spawn for the infected to get out of his Box and hunt down the other players. This extreme Darkness makes seeing the infected very difficult and creates a Paranoid situation for the Survivors. Basically it's Predator in a very dark and CQC environment. Band Together or seperate, your choice. Another Basic Map I have made, but still a fun part of my memory and I hope you can have fun on it too. Both the Gametype and Map are saved in my fileshare [EVOL SPARTAN II] on the MCC under the same name.
  20. I have made Two Variations of the Classic Halo 3 Custom game: Fight Night. For those don't know what fight night is, it is pretty much just a Free For All Game Mode where Combat is just melee all the time. (Although you can start shooting if you get bored. Yes this game goes by Honor rules.) Everyone has very low health and will die in one Melee hit, or one Plasma Pistol Shot. Trust me, it's a lot more fun than it sounds typed. Both Versions are recommended 8 players max, but Honestly, you can have as many as you want. This game mode was probably the most simple Forge thing to ever make. I just wanted to make it so someone didn't have to waste time making their own. One Variation is the nearly identical remake of the Classic on Halo 3's Guardian. Not much has changed. The Boxes are there just to slow someone down from getting out of the map. That's the exact way Halo 3's map was, so I went with what I remembered. Even if you got out there, there's nothing much for you to do, on account of me deleting everything out there. Ignore the Diarrhea colored Elite Punching The Other Version is Pretty much the exact same, but within H2A's Sandbox, and with a different aesthetic to it that I built. I call it Fight Night: (Even though it's not Night) Under the Highway. Also in this version there is no escape, unless you want to team up with someone to jump on their head to explore. Although once again not much out of the map except for the Vehicles on the Highway. I hope you enjoy my Map. The Game modes and Maps are within my file share. My gamertag is EVOL SPARTAN II.   21. Hey guys check out this new that map that I made called Chopper Gunner. Basically, the map is comprised of a medium sized town where players play capture the flag game types. But, the CATCH is that at the beginning of the match, one player from each team spawns at a hornet and gets to help their team play the objective until they die.   22. Because of all of the exciting news regarding a Gears of War Remaster, I decided to put my skills to the test to achieve a fresh remaster of the famous map known as Blood Drive ! This is a place for people who are interested in Halo Reach Forge. a place for questions, ideas, creations, etc. so far the only "good things I've created is a ship with working cannons, and a satellite (both got deleted) but i will try to remake them and get photos. sorry if i'm not doing this right i'm new to this website, and i'm still learning the basics.

  25. Information From Frank's Twitter Frank O'Connor has tweeted confirming that a map remake will be in Halo 4. He has not confirmed which map it is yet but gives a very brief description. Here is what he said: "Halo 4 only includes one map remake. I know what it is, it is good. It will cause the least drama of any new thing. It is NOT Small." I'm thinking maybe its Blood Gulch but who knows, leave a comment on what map you want it to be.
