  1. This Halo (Halo 4) is 1/3 Halo 3, 1/3 Halo: Reach (aka how to get revenge on Microsoft and have them pay you for it) and 1/3 Call of Duty. I only like the first 1/3 of this equation. I love CoD. But not in my Halo, which I love more. If you have no sense of humor, please discontinue reading. 1) I dislike spawning into a game that I am losing and have no chance of winning. This was never a facet of Halo. It is, however, a mainstay of the CoD Franchise. There is no benefit to staying in a game where you are losing or outnumbered in Halo 4. There is no deterrent to leaving. You gain NO extra xp for being a gamer with self-respect. Just like in CoD. Also I have begun more games down a man in Halo 4 than in all of my previous Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo: Reach games combined, in just the first four days since its release. It's like they paid Infinity Ward (not Treyarch, those boys know how to make a game) for their MW2 matchmaking formulas. 2) I dislike the ease of which you die in this Halo with the DMR (it appears even more so than in Reach) and overall. Halo (prior to Reach) was all about skill, individual battles and balance with the conventional weapons. In Call of Duty you can kill quickly when you spot someone on the map, well before they have time to respond. This seems to be the way that they are bringing it in line with the CoD engine. Every time I kill someone unfairly with the incineration thingamajigger, I'm sure Cortana dies a little inside. 3) The vehicles are not easy to kill. On a map with vehicles, there is not a plethora of weapons to destroy them with. I have stuck the Ghost twice in succession and not killed it or the driver. Usually there is just one rather clunky Spartan Laser to fight over. And they spawn too many times in a game. I've had the Wraith 3 times in a game. 4) If I wanted to play a game where I had lag/connection/matchmaking issues, I'd play Call of Duty. 5) If I wanted to play a game where I died repeatedly on my spawn or spawned in the crosshairs of the enemy team, I can just pop in Call of Duty. Seriously the spawns seem to have been generated by monkeys flinging their own poop on a large copy of the map. They can't actually claim any intelligence went into the spawning can they? My impression of the only meeting they had discussing it went as follows: "That spawn makes no sense and it stinks in here. He's..." "Silence! The monkey poop has spoken." 6) The sniper Rifle stays zoomed in even if hit. This leads me to my closing statement. The people who made this game were NOT Halo fans, at least not before Reach. They either were CoD fans, or were trying to get people who buy CoD to buy this game. There is no point in buying future Halo games unless you loved Reach (WHO ARE YOU? Seriously who liked halo 2 and 3 and then Reach? If you liked it then you are at the 'Gump Line'). If you love CoD and want to play a futuristic Call of Duty, then this is your game BLOPS2 will be out soon. So get your brooms out, it is time for Shennanigans.
  2. So what does everyone think will be in the future for CoD? I mean they have hit the future with BO2. Will they keep on going and blow up the world? Or will they go back in time to the Stone Age? My thoughts are that aliens will be introduced within the next 2-3 CoD games . 200 yay

  4. Halo 4 is expected to be released November 6th and has been provided the "Call of Duty Treatment" by 343i. This video published by YouTube user "VeryTraumatic" briefly explains the "Call of Duty Treatment", how Halo 4 has been given the "Call of Duty Treatment", and how this will effect the 1st Person Shooter genre. The "Call of Duty Treatment" is real and this is happening to Halo 4, the contents of this video have been known to cause people to experience feelings of anger and despair after watching so Viewer Discretion is Advised. Here's a link to the video: < http://www.youtube.c...yer_detailpage" Few other "Call of Duty Treatment" characteristics not mentioned in this video are: Custom Loadouts ( destroys game balance), Ordinance Drop ( Care Packages), Sprint Button, No Firefight, No Elites in Multiplayer, No Invasion, etc
  5. Ok, so ever since the First Look Trailer, I have been seeing many threads complaining about how Halo 4 will be copying COD. First off, Halo 4 will be like Halo 4. That's why its called Halo in the first place. 343i knows what they're doing and will make whatever decision is for the best. Beside's, half of their team is made up of Ex-Bungie Employees, and even fans. Also, the perks you've heard about, aren't even called perks. Frank O' Connor said that those were just the names reporter's gave it. And yes, armor will affect gameplay, but not the way most of you are thinking. It will most likely be small things like "2% more jump height" and stuff. Lastly, as you all know, Halo 4 will be introducing custom classes/loudouts. No this will not be like COD. 343i even when out of their way, to state that players wouldn't be able to choose power weapons as their starting weapon. But instead, they will most likely be able to choose simple weapons like the Battle Rifle, DMR, Assault Rifle, or magnum as their starting weapon. This has actually long been a fan request since Halo 2. So yeah, stop complaining guys. Halo 4 is in good hands. 343i is taking it into a new direction, and change is good. We need to all stop looking a the past games and move forward. Thanks for reading, TheL337destroyer
  6. For many days I discretely observed a Call of Duty: Black Ops player, not a casual player but a competetive player, and I discovered something that I had not noticed before. Many of you out there may already know this and many of you may not, but this is the first time I have recognized it. Now, the thing that I have discovered is that in CoD: BO's multiplayer, It doesn't matter what gametype, the players sole objective is not to capture the flag, kill a certain amount of players, or destroy a target. The one and only objective of the infamous CoD player is to make other players, friend and foe alike, quit the match due to excessive anger and/or frustration. This form of quitting is commonly known as "rage quitting" or "rageing". Often these players team up in groups of players know as "clans". Now, unlike the clans you all know of, the CoD clan isn't meant for team play, fun, or even in-game assistance. CoD clans are formed to make the process of making players rage quit easier due to having a larger number of player types such as "n00bs", "tryhards", and those who "suck". n00bs are often seen wielding weapons with an undermounted m203 grenade launcher. The players "suck" are those that have just killed another players, this is how a conversation between a "tryhard" and a player that "sucks" would normally go: TH: Ok, i'm going to try and make this n00b rage by knifing him, watch this lololol. Player-that-sucks: Ohhh, you just got quickscoped noob. TH: YOU SUCK, YOU ARE A HACKER, I'M GONNA HAVE MY HACKER FRIEND BAN YOU FOR LIFE YOU STUPID NOOB!. In the end, I recommend, if you are a casual player of CoD, to stay out of the matchmaking and as far away from the "leet" players or you will get trolled... hard. Thank you for reading. Sincerly Grim Reaper, High Councilor.
  7. I feel that Halo has been making a wrong turn, I was never a fan of COD and never will be, Halo was always my #1 game but Reach was the worst Halo in my opinion. And thats because its more and more slowly turning into COD, yea thats good if you like COD but that just flat out sucks for any Halo fan that loves Halo and Hates COD. What are your thoughts and what do you hope to see and not see in Halo 4? But don't get my wrong Halo 4 is looking badass and I'm still getting it, And the story is looking so far vary diffrent from all the others, I'm looking forword 4 Halo 4
  8. Just watched the reveal trailer. I'm not a COD fan, definitely prefer BF's multiplayer BUT the Black Ops Campaign was one of my favorite campaigns of recent years. No pretentious anti American "OMG IT WAS ACTUALLY THE AMERICANS FAULT" plot twist...a few interesting characters, assassinating Fidel Castro...always good. I'm cautiously optimistic after seeing the second black ops trailer. Unlike MW3 I will almost certainly buy this one. Seems like a near future setting is a perfect chance for them to change up the formula...just hope the changes aren't only skin deep.
  9. I noticed in the multiplayer trailer that the scope on the BR is square. Why would 343i change it from the classic Halo 2 and Halo 3 cylindrical scope? I don't see a reason for the change. Also the scoring on the bottom right looked as though it went up by random numbers instead of 1 point per kill. Again I don't see a reason for change, maybe just to "mix it up" but I'm not sure. I dont want to judge before the game comes out, but by all means put your thoughts in the comments.
  10. In many ways, Halo 4 will either commit the franchise to darkness and failure, or transform it into something the likes of which have never been seen in the history of gaming. As most people know, halo has pretty much been left in CoD's dust for a few obvious reasons. 1. The story of the game has remained the same for nearly 10 years 2. As have the weapons 3. The game-play has also remained equivalent to Halo CE when it was released in 2001. The thing that pisses me off the most is how people complain on the forums "we want the old halo back, like halo 2 and 3", as far as I'm concerned those people can go shove it and play halo 3. Seriously, if you want the same game-play as your old games, go play your old games! Games (like most things) change and evolve as time progresses. there is a reason for this, new breakthroughs allow innovation and real gamers get tired of playing the same damn multiplayer 6 games in a row. Take armor abilities for example, i hear so many people bich about them and frankly i don't know why. They are a well thought out addition to a franchise whose multiplayer was becoming far to monotonous. Now back to my initial point. As far as i am concerned (and i am pretty sure i will be proved correct in one year) Halo 4 either needs to go BIG, or go home. If the game releases in 2012 and is even remotely similar to halo 3 or reach, it will fail. the percentage of FPS gamers who primarily play halo has dropped exponentially over the years because everyone is going over to COD. Because, COD innovates, and when they do change up major aspects of the game, no one biches about it. In order for Halo to reverse this trend and begin regaining players rather than losing them, Halo 4 needs to land in the bulls eye! 1. The Story mode has to Knock you off your feet when you first play it. After 6 games fighting the covenant we need a totally new enemy. one who acts and reacts completely differently. 2. The campaign needs to have complete freedom of mobility (no kill zones or 5 feet of water that you cant swim in) sort of like sky rim, where any place you can see, you can walk, drive, or fly to. 3. The scenery needs to be COMPLETELY destructible for gods sake! its pathetic that the only items you can react with are boxes, propane tanks, a alien ostriches! Trees should be destroyed by rocket launchers, windows should be broken by plasma no matter what they are made of, grass should catch fire, walls knocked in by grenades, players head shotted by infrared sniper rifles when camping behind a Sheetrock wall! Come on, i cant be the only one with this opinion!? 4. We need more insight into master chief as a person. he is one of the most blank, emotionless characters in all of gaming history in one of the top games of all time. Some flash backs to his child hood would be a nice addition. 5. Game play needs to be completely free (reach did this fairly well). If you want to drive that car, you should be able to. wanna skydive of that cliff with your jet pack, by all means go for it. wanna go swimming, sure. 6. Halo 4 needs new weapons, badly. 10 years of firing a assault rifle or plasma rifle gets real boring. It also need different vehicles. Many of you may want to kill me after reading this, saying that i am a traitor to the franchise. But just think about it. If you loved halo 3 stop asking for it over again, go play halo 3. Stop getting stuck in past for gods sake. Open your minds to something new! Please deliver for us 343, we all need it, even if some of us don't know it yet....
