  1. A new trailer for the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians has released to the public eye, and it is, as expected, badass. Halo 5: Guardians is an upcoming sci-fi FPS following the events of the previous Halo 4, the game is made by 343 Industries and is set to release October 27th, but you all already know this, so I'll get down to the main point. A trailer was released, originating from Buzzfeed, but here's a link for the rest of us. It begins with Fireteam Osiris preparing to skyfall onto the snowy Kamchatka's surface. Commanders Lasky and Palmer debrief the team and Buck, in his usual fashion, delivers some humor to lighten the situation, before they finally jump out. From there on it's a ton of action as the trailer showcases the new Spartan abilities and features Osiris basically mowing down the Covenant and Promethean forces like pudding. This is the prologue to the first mission in which Osiris rescues Halsey from the Covenant Remnant and aims to kill Jul 'Mdama in the process. Besides that, not much else was revealed in this trailer, but more is sure to come now that we're two months away from launch! 2. 343 Industries and IGN have shown off the introductory cut-scene to Halo 2 Anniversary as part of their IGN First program! Halo: The Master Chief Collection is in it's final days of processing and is nearly ready to reach our fingertips, but until then I have more footage to entice you. A channel on thankfully reuploaded the footage from a stream showing off the cinematic opening to Halo 2: Anniversary, redone with stunning visuals from Blur Studios. The opening is for the mission Outskirts and the full mission was shown off on the aforementioned stream, which I cannot get a hold of unfortunately. The video features the infamous Scarab in it's Halo 2 garb, New Mombasa, Sergeant Johnson, and the Spartan himself, The Master Chief, all in gloriously redone visual style. Halo: The Master Chief Collection releases on November 11th, 2014 for Xbox One only. View attachment: MC.png Does this cinematic intro do the original justice despite being redone; or do subtle changes turn you off? Sound off below! I appreciate you reading folks!

  4. I recently published a book called Worlds for Throng. Its been a long-time fantasy of mine to see this as either a video game, movie, or both. I'll post the plot synopsis so you can get a sense of what it is, then I'll get more in-depth: Just-graduated journalist major Timothy Crowling is assigned his first story, and heads into it eagerly, unaware of the pawn-like position he's been forced into as part of one of the grandest schemes humanity's ever attempted: five prestigious individuals assigned to save Earth from an incoming meteor decide humanity is already a dead race. Desperate to free themselves from it, they develop a synthetic planet with the intent of shuttling the good men and women of the world there to restart humanity. The five all have different ideas of how this Utopia should run, and those clashing ideas quickly turn to factions. In essence, it’s a caricature on where we’re headed, why, and how to stop it. Now, I imagine the campaign of the game starting about 2/3 into the book when the "five prestigious individuals" start putting together the shuttle that'll take them to their synthetic planet. This would be a classic, militaristic fps with a lot of cinematic, fast-paced action and sort of a secret agent, FBI feel at times. Halfway through, it would turn into a more futuristic, ridiculous action-packed shooter. The kind of action that's more like fast-paced dancing than fighting. I would want to take the dialogue and the plot from the book and work off that directly for the game. Essentially recreate each chapter for each level in the game. The player would switch off between the five main characters, similar to GTA V. I have a real life actor each of the five main characters would be modeled after, similar to the L4D series. I'm also a musical composer and have written sort of a mock-score for the story. If this were to happen, I could score it myself, if that would be okay. Obviously this would be a huge project and this is ridiculous to ask and put on a forum; I know that. The game would be incredibly emotional and philosophical, the action tied to the emotions of the story and the characters and their situation. It would be a familiar but refreshing and incredible experience, I think, if done right. I also have ideas for a multiplayer for it which would have slayer and death match and a character that you create, customize and level-up, among other things similar to Spartan Ops, but a versus-mode Spartan Ops. I could get into that another time maybe, if this miraculously gets picked up. Obviously this has been a fantasy of mine for some time and I genuinely believe it could be great. If anyone has any questions or concerns, feel free to ask. I don't know how to contact 343 directly. I figured this website was a good start. If anyone could direct me to them, that would be greatly appreciated. I'd love feedback in general. Thanks, Emmett
