  1. Welcome to Paradise Lost Download: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/map-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=CaptainDireWolf#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_mapvariant_CaptainDireWolf_dcdfef56-2516-422f-91c7-53f6c73dc172 Gametypes supported: Slayer, Strongholds, Infection You are cordially invited to immerse yourself in a tropical paradise in the South Pacific. Inspired by one of the most famous of French Polynesia’s Islands: Bora Bora, "Paradise Lost" was designed to provide a fresh retreat from typical core gameplay. Mosey along the wooden bridges connecting over-the-water, stilted bungalows and make your way to the central island for an umbrella drink at the bar. A few bungalows are more secluded, requiring you to jump to them, but I assure you the extra work is worth the sunset view. Relax on a hammock or take a dip in a hot tub. Just avoid splashing in the turquoise lagoon as the locals frown upon disturbing the aquatic life. Thanks for checking it out and I hope you enjoy yourself in it! - CDW
  2. Map: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/map-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=CaptainDireWolf#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_mapvariant_CaptainDireWolf_bd2e9f43-27fa-4634-aeb5-24462aafe54c Gametype: “The Elite Four” (Breakout inspired) https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/...DireWolf_b4279fce-ae9a-452f-a50b-333fffd4ab35 Map allows for 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 (optimal), and up to 8v8 (but the extra 8 are simply observers) It is my great pleasure to finally introduce you all to my newest map, the Poke’ Playoffs; a grand sequel to the original poke’ battle map made last year. In this mini-game, you are pitted against other trainers in the Poke’ League Championship in your quest for becoming one of the legendary “Elite Four”. The Design Compete in one of four poke’ gyms during your matchups (based on gyms from the old school Gameboy games), including: the Fighting Dojo, Celadon Gym (grassy glade), Cerulean Gym (pool), and Cinnabar Gym (inside a volcano). The winners of each gym battle are thrown into the great poke’ stadium to fight for the glory of their team. After 5 rounds, the winners are declared and the new Elite Four are chosen. How to Play The way this works involves a short time frame (10 seconds) where each player has to choose 1 of 3 pokemon to battle with against the other player. Time is marked by a glowing red circle that moves across the large poke’ ball blocker in front of you. If it reaches the other side of the blocker before you choose something, the tournament referees will kill you for stalling the match. As a side bit of fun, you are given one plasma grenade to throw at a small white platform to your left indicated by a red arrow. This simply gives you the chance to feel like you are actually throwing down a poke ball. Once 10 seconds passes, the screen in front of you disappears and your poke’ ball will glow as it is opened, revealing you and your competitor’s battle companion. Your pokemon will duke it out with their chosen attack and the winner (based on type) will survive, while the loser gets killed. As this is designed for 4v4, the winners of the respective gyms will be thrown into the arena for a final show down with sniper rifles. Poke’ strengths and weaknesses: As this is again based on a simple rock-paper-scissors concept, each “type” of pokemon wins and loses against different types. For the n00bs out there, simply remember the console color on the right kills the console color to its left (and the end console of course loops around). This map employs 4 different gyms, all with different pokemon and types. These include: The Fighting Dojo Grass – Fire – Water Bulbasaur vs. Charmander vs. Squirtle Celadon Gym Rock – Grass – Ice Golem vs. Ivysaur vs. Articuno Cerulean Gym Electric – Ground – Water Pikachu or Zapdos vs. Dugtrio or Sandshrew vs. Starmie or Staryu Cinnabar Gym Grass – Fire - Water Vileplume vs. Moltres vs. Kingler Other random pokemon located around the map include: Snorlax, Ghastly, Ditto, Magnemite, a fat Magikarp, rattata, oddish, electrode, and krabby. One disclaimer I will add as this map is scripted using all 26 labels, all 26 power channels and some of the messages to move groups of objects, you will occasionally see a pokemon appear and look totally janky as f*%^. I honestly can’t fix that unfortunately, but it does bring about extra hilarity as you try to recognize what it is. As always, add my GT: CaptainDireWolf or hit the download link above (if it’s still working) to play something ridiculous. Cheers! Extra Challenge: There has been interest from some to forge certain pokemon of their own and I certainly invite you to do so. With that said, I actually have about 100 objects left before I enter into the yellow zone of my limit, which I found causes the weird bug that makes random objects around the map disappear. Soooo that means, if you have a crazy interest, send me a message after you prefab your creation and tag it: “Poke CDW”. If it looks convincing, is made with minimal amount of objects, and I have your permission, I’ll add your masterpiece to the stadium for players to fight among. There it will rest for time eternal and your will receive both the pride of creation and I’ll add your name to the EPIC list of acknowledgements below. 3. GT: CaptainDireWolf Map: Isle of Myst: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/map-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=CaptainDireWolf#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_mapvariant_CaptainDireWolf_b92341e6-68cb-43ea-a47f-343d256a09dd Gametype: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/game-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=CaptainDireWolf#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_gamevariant_CaptainDireWolf_08475087-80f5-4dba-95fc-d8c32656d013 Forgehub link: http://www.forgehub.com/maps/isle-of-myst.3930/ It is my great pleasure to introduce you to my newest puzzle map: ISLE OF MYST. It is of course a re-imagining of the classic game: Myst. In the past, I’ve recreated great landmarks and cities from other video game genre’s but this is the first time that I’ve been able to fully recreate (albeit having some limitations of budget and scripting) an entire game. I did my best to keep all the aesthetics as close as possible to the original, with a few alterations here and there in order to seamlessly weave halo’s mechanics with my puzzles. For those of you who have never played Myst before, this puzzle map usually takes people around 45-60 minutes to complete. I hope you enjoy your time on my island. Make sure to check out the “Important Tips” section below before you proceed. Isle of Myst: The Story You’ve discovered a magical book that instantly transports you to the deserted Isle of Myst, where you must solve the island’s puzzles in order to discover the underlying dark secrets. In their travels, players will visit four different worlds known as “Ages”. Located through portals, you’ll visit the Mechanical Age, Channelwood Age, Stoneship Age, and Selenitic Age. Your goal is to collect 1 red and 1 blue page from each age to complete the respective books located in the island’s library. These “linking” books are traps that hold two dangerous sons of Atrus, Sirrus and Achenar. It is up to you if you decide to free them or not. You will know it’s the end when you see the “win” symbol. Good luck escaping the island! Cheers! *Important Tips* - Again the goal is to find the missing red and blue pages located in each Age in order to escape. - Make sure to turn your VOLUME UP! There is a puzzle that relies on sound in order to solve them. - Be patient, once you figure out how the island works puzzles will start to make more sense More pics! 4. Avada Kedavra! Will you let death take you, or greet him like an old friend? “I solemnly swear I’m up to no good.” – CaptainDireWolf Map Link: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/map-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=CaptainDireWolf#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_mapvariant_CaptainDireWolf_6b0898ff-14b0-4259-bf8a-a52069c6b49d Gametypes supported: Team Slayer, Strongholds, CTF, and Multi-team. Background Welcome to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Which wizarding house will you get sorted into? Funny enough, multi-team works pretty well for this map as the colors are red: Gryffindor, blue: Ravenclaw, Yellow: Hufflepuff, and Green: Slytherin. Otherwise, prepare your wands... for players can now battle across familiar locations throughout the legendary castle from Harry Potter. Eternal glory awaits those that win. The Design I built the castle based on a variety of blueprints I saw online, along with dozens of images from the movies. I had to make slight alterations to the map in order for it to be playable within Halo’s gameplay, so that you can reach various ledges, hopefully adding to a more fluid flow of gameplay. However, it was impossible to make this a hardcore competitive map, as it was built with more of a focus on aesthetics. So simply enjoy it for what it is; casual fun. You can duel within Hogwarts classrooms, courtyards, and castle ramparts. There’s also the clock tower with functioning pendulum, and of course the tower with moving staircases. Finally, you’ll also be able to fight within the Great Hall, where you can either hang out by the fire drinking some Butterbeer, or check out the sorting hat itself on the head table. Gameplay Keeping true to the books and movies, I worked to pair halo’s weapon sets with wizard-type attacks. Work to gain access to the elder wand (aka. the railgun), the resurrection stone (overshield power up), and the invisibility cloak (obviously the invisibility power up). Other power weapons include the sniper rifle, shotgun, and the hammer (which emits force charges like spells). Again, the map allows for all sorts of gametypes of your desire, so pick what you feel is best. As always, I welcome any and all suggestions to improve my maps. I hope you enjoy your time with something that certainly invoked nostalgia for me. Cheers! More pics:
  5. "Need a blade or armor? You should talk to CaptainDireWolf, at the forge." (Haha couldn't resist) Map download link: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/map-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=CaptainDireWolf#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_mapvariant_CaptainDireWolf_8f35999b-6c2e-47ff-aacf-923c7ea597d5 Gametypes supported: Slayer (FFA, Team, Multi), and Strongholds Whiterun – The Design Whiterun’s beauty lies in the flowing waters and a variety of familiar landmarks seen throughout the city, so I first and foremost made sure to recreate these as close to the originals as possible in forge and stuck to the same layout. From Warmaiden’s armor shop, to the Gildergreen Tree, to Dragonsreach, and even the Skyforge under the great rock bird, you’ll hopefully get some nostalgia. Match all of these structures with the simple, yet effective housing and market designs and I found that I had a decent layout to play with. Mix in a little terrain, a dash of strategically placed rocks, and a sprinkle of trees to give a little life to Whiterun’s typical bleak environment and voila! Whiterun was born into the Halo 5 universe. Whiterun – Gameplay and Guns I originally just saw Whiterun playing well in FFA, Multi, and Team Slayer, however, I also designed it for strongholds. I certainly encourage suggestions for improvement as I'm new to designing core gameplay, but I’m under the belief that stronghold locations fit best in the Marketplace, near the Shrine of Talos (or who I call the Daedric Grunt), and by the Hall of the Dead, as it gives reasonably balanced distance for starting teams to reach. As for weapon choices, I tried to keep things simple and non-overpowering. There are four power weapons: sniper rifle, shotgun, hammer, and railgun. I personally hate hydra with a passion and rocket launcher always feels slightly OP so I kept them out. Other basic guns include DMR, battle rifle, smg, plasma pistol, needler, pistol, plasma rifles, and an overshield for balance. As I have more experience with designing minigames, feel free to let me know if you think I should change or move any of the weapons located on the map. Final Remarks: - It is possible to climb onto building roofs and a few of the inner walls to get an edge on people while battling, which I didn't realize until testing with others that it turned out to be rather fun. (The design of the city didn't allow for much verticality to begin with so I'll take what I can get HA! - Hope you enjoy playing Whiterun as much as I did forging it. It took me the longest time to forge out of all of my maps, but I think it was worth it. Again, I’m CaptainDireWolf and hit the download link above to check it out in all of its glory for yourself. Cheers! More pics!
  6. GT: CaptainDireWolf Map: Bongo Bongo: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/map-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=2&gamertag=CaptainDireWolf#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_mapvariant_CaptainDireWolf_7c5dd5d6-b713-4389-907a-30ab048e9d88 Gametype: ShadowTemple (Infection-type): https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/game-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=CaptainDireWolf#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_gamevariant_CaptainDireWolf_722b95ec-85be-446e-aef8-993202028684 Players: 2-16 Welcome to my latest ridiculousness: Bongo Bongo. This is designed to be a boss battle type of game, where one player controls the phantom demon from the old school N64 classic: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which resides in the infamous Shadow Temple; the seventh dungeon in the game. For those of you poor souls who are too young to remember or simply hid under a rock when this game came out, Bongo Bongo is the name of a gargantuan, evil spirit, which has one eye and great big hands playing a drum. Keeping close tabs to the original game, this map takes place on the big drum itself. One infected spawns in a chamber where it can control 4 sets of hands that fly across the drum in different patterns, attempting to push/smack people off of it into the poisonous green liquid below. If a human dies, it joins with the horde of the undead that guard the Shadow Temple. To add to the chaos, infected pop out of the darkness from corners of the map, also trying to kill the humans and pleasing their demon master. The humans' goal on the other hand is to kill the beast by first shooting all of the explosive barrels on the swiping hands that the infected alpha controls, thereby exposing barrels on the stumps of Bongo Bongo's arms and great eye. Once all of those barrels are destroyed, the evil demon will melt into the liquid below and the humans simply have to survive for the rest of the round. To add to the challenge, the drum causes players to BOUNCE up and down, (which I've found pretty entertaining when someone dies). TIP: Don't try to approach or jump on the demon as it will kill you... The map itself has some free space and hasn't officially been tested yet except for a couple 2 player shenanigans, so I definitely look forward to any constructive comments on improving gameplay, tweaking infected/human traits to make it more challenging/fun, and adding aesthetics or any other elements that you think should be added to increase replayability. Cheers! With that, here's some more pics!
  7. GT: CaptainDireWolf *CUSTOM GAMETYPE: "Man of War" : https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/game-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=CaptainDireWolf#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_gamevariant_CaptainDireWolf_995f6672-068f-474a-8c4b-fcce07516878 *2-16 players (8v8 I think would work best, but I haven't tried more than 2v2 yet. Fingers crossed the map doesn't crash with more people with all the welding involved) Download link: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/map-variants?lastModifiedFilter=Everything&sortOrder=BookmarkCount&page=1&gamertag=CaptainDireWolf#ugc_halo-5-guardians_xbox-one_mapvariant_CaptainDireWolf_7e452556-dab3-452a-bd68-a87afd0448a4 Welcome to BlackFlags, a hearty swashbuckling adventure filled with heroic sword fights, epic sea battles, and plenty of pirate booty hidden about on the islands of the Caribbean. For my latest map I wanted to combine the incredible pirate battles seen in Assassin's Creed Black Flag with the awesome breakout gameplay of halo 5. As always, I also wanted to push forge's boundaries as far as it could go... and out came sailable pirate ships (The gametype "Man of War" came about as that's the name of some of the biggest sailing ships with cannons on them back in the day) The game is fairly straightforward; blue and red team spawn on opposite islands in the Caribbean and the goal is to wipe out the enemy team before the end of the round. You have the choice of piling into the ship located right off the dock of your island and sailing off to attack the enemy (by driving the welded scorpion), or you can island hop around the map, discovering treasure chests along the way that contain weapons other than swords if you want to engage in some firefights. My hope was to push the gameplay towards more sword fights as this is a massive ship battle, but I believe the addition of the power weapons on the map certainly add to the swashbuckling experience. Additionally, a fun offshoot of creating drivable ships over water is that if the scorpion tank ever gets destroyed, the entire ship will sink rather dramatically (yeayuhhhh!) Another important aspect I wanted to carefully craft was the environment. As this is based on the Caribbean islands I wanted players to feel completely immersed in the experience. With this in mind, you will spot a wide variety of plant life, rock formations, hanging skeletons, sunken ships, sandbars, treasure chests, and of course sea turtles. I've also included a hidden weapon accessed by locating a red "X marks the spot" somewhere in the map (not THAT hidden as I wanted it accessible to people). SIDE NOTE: The ships themselves take some getting used to in driving well, but after the first time you should get the hang of it. The only issue that I've noticed is that the ship occasionally starts rocking (realistic I know), but over time it may cause people to flip off or the ship to do a barrel roll (yee-haw). To fix this, have the driver drive backwards a little before moving forward again and it should solve the issue. Sadly welding isn't perfect and I doubt I'll be able to fix this weird phenomenon, so just embrace the craziness. With that, I welcome any and all suggestions in making this gaming experience even better as this is the largest project I've worked on (welding the ships themselves took a couple weeks to get right). Hope you enjoy. Cheers! Enjoy some more pics!
  8. GT: CaptainDireWolf *CUSTOM GAMETYPE: "Sea Monsters" *2-16 players “Call me Ishmael.” - Herman Melville Now that Tidal finally works again it's time for me to release... a gigantic, white whale named MobyDick who is wrecking havoc on all the ships of the sea! Hopefully some of you kids have read or heard about the legendary tale of MobyDick. If not, here's the gist of the story which you can now reenact: According to legend, Captain Ahab lost his leg to a monstrous white sperm whale during one of his voyages. The Captain has brought you and several other sailors with him this time to attempt to finish the job and kill MobyDick once and for all. You arrive on the whaler ship named the Pequod in search of your host, but alas, the great whale has snuck up and destroyed your ship yet again! Now you must survive on your little row boats until help arrives! Don't be whale lunch... oh and watch out for sharks and other dangerous monsters lurking in the deep... including the Lochness monster, the Kracken, a giant eel, and a rock sea serpent. The Rules: - There is a single alpha infected at the start of the match, who gets to drive and control the whale (yee-haw). His or hers goal is to have the whale swim around gobble up any of the survivors from your previous attack on their vessel in order to happily go back to relaxing in your peaceful sea. - The survivors (humans) are simply trying to stay alive for the time limit (SOS) before help arrives to airlift them out of there and out of danger. - Once a survivor is eaten by the whale and travels down his gullet, they become sharks (they are simply infected who can swim in the water), which provides another danger to watch out for. - I made it so the infected can do very little damage, but can spartan charge (kind of like a shark charging a boat to try and flip it and its passengers, or at least slow it down for their whale friend to eat the people up). - IMPORTANT TIP: It is highly recommended to have a side passenger in each boat so they can shoot the sharks and keep them out of your boat! Also, there are only 10 lifeboats to spare so don't get left behind! As always, I'd appreciate any helpful feedback to make it more of an enjoyable experience for people. I'd especially like to get feedback on the gametype and best traits for the survivors and infected. Thanks and hope you enjoy! Cheers! Your final view before being eaten alive by the whale...
  9. Welcome everyone to another one of my ridiculous mini games dubbed: Lawnmower Spree! Watch out for ol' Farmer MC John as he attempts to mow down those pesky moles in his lawn once and for all... *CUSTOM GAMETYPE: "Stay off the Grass" *2-12 players The Rules: - The farmers' (zombies) job is to hop on their trusty lawnmowers and attempt to wipe out the annoying mole population that's been destroying their crops. With time (as more moles are killed), Farmer John's friends eventually come over to help him out by adding their own lawnmowers to the mix. WARNING for the farmers: don't jump or fall out of your lawnmower or you will be swept into your machine's blades. Sadly the lawnmower can't tell friend from foe... - The moles (humans) goal is simply to survive for the time limit and avoid the lawnmower blades. You want to live your happy mole life and proliferate beneath the comfy grass in peace. Sadly you can't jump very high, but you can run really fast to avoid the crazy farmer predators. SIDE NOTE: It IS possible to flip the lawnmower despite my best efforts to keep it from happening, but it helps to hold the left trigger when turning. With that I hope you enjoy this mini game for what it is: simple nonsense. I appreciate any and all suggestions for making this map better for the future. Check out the link for more info: http://www.forgehub.com/maps/lawnmower-spree.2945/ Cheers! More pics!
  10. Welcome to the zombie-infested and smoldering town of Tristram! I decided to recreate a well renown level from another one of my favorite games from my childhood; Diablo II. This is my FIRST attempt at an infection map so any feedback is greatly appreciated to make it better. I wanted to capture the essence of a 2D game and see what it might look like in 3D. As with most of my maps, I also wanted to make the map into a role-playing adventure like Diablo II, so the humans have an objective to complete rather than just surviving against the hordes of undead. For those of you who are familiar with the Diablo franchise, you'll know what I mean when I say: seek the secret cow level for your rewards. For those of you who are too young to know what the heck I'm talking about or are simply a PC n00b here you go: The Objective: Zombies: Do what you do best. Braaainnss... Humans: Run through the portal in Stony Field and you'll find yourself in Tristram. It's been destroyed by the Lord of Destruction himself, Diablo. To have any chance at surviving (as there are very limited amounts of weapons on the map) you must work together and collect a series of items to unlock the secret cow level. What to do: Once you've found everything and unlocked the portal, you will find your rewards to survive a little bit longer among the undead. Word of caution however, if you stay in the secret cow level for too long or get trapped there, the Cow King will eat you... As always I look forward to any constructive comments on making my maps better. My GT is: CaptainDireWolf. Check out: http://www.forgehub.com/maps/tristram-diablo.2921/for more details. Enjoy those brains. Cheers! Now for some more pics!
  11. Map Name: Starfighter Combat GT: CaptainDireWolf Players: 2-12 (Red vs. Blue) Gametype: up to 6v6 Breakout (it helps to change the settings so players can move the death cam, otherwise the viewpoint of the remaining team members is a little wonky) In a galaxy far, far away... you must choose to join the Dark Side and crush the rebellion, or join the Light Side and stop the Imperials from dominating everyone in the galaxy. In this Halo 5 map, I've worked to combine familiar "space battle" aspects from Star Wars Battlefront and the breakout style of Halo gameplay. Teams are red versus blue, and you can play up to 12 players (6v6) for epic space firefights. As a rebel you rush out of the Tantive IV, a CR90 Corvette (Princess Leia's ship), to pilot the versatile X-wings. The Imperials on the other hand jump out of the Star Destroyer's main hangar and fly Tie Fighters and Tie Bombers. As it is breakout, there are 5 rounds, where each side gets a chance to wipe out the enemy to win. Use the Asteroid field as cover as you try and flank the enemy team and declare victory. Hope you enjoy the map. Cheers! Disclaimer: As I employ the welding glitch for this map, there is always possibility of some glitchiness if your banshee is blown out from its aesthetic vehicle. (In a way it makes the map even more hilarious to play if this happens) Now for some pics!
  12. Map name: Imperial City Gametype: Mainly aesthetic, but it has been great fun in big team lobbies: Free for all, red-blue team slayer, strongholds, capture the flag, assault. Welcome to the IMPERIAL CITY. This map is inspired by one of my favorite games of all time, the Elder Scrolls "Oblivion"; (which just marked it's 10 year anniversary recently). The circular city features 6 major districts around the city: Market, Elven Gardens, Talos Plaza, Arena, Temple, and Aboretum; along with the Imperial Palace located in the center. Side note: watch out for the Oblivion Gates, because after a period of time two portals will open up in different locations within the map, allowing players to quickly traverse between the gates. Check out more pictures of the map: See forgehub link: http://www.forgehub.com/maps/imperium.2056/ Thanks and hope you like it! - CaptainDireWolf
  13. GamerTag: CaptainDireWolf Map: Summer Olympics Gametype: "Gold Medal" (Instant win Strongholds) Players: (2-16) though 16 is best for lots of action (it IS the Olympics after all) Forgehub link for more pics: http://www.forgehub.com/maps/summer-olympics.2500/ Welcome to the Summer Olympics! This year its hosted on Reach and competitors have to conquer 6 major sports to win the gold medal: Track and Field, Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, Gymnastics, Sailing/boating, and Swimming/Diving. Competitors begin with the "shot put" (use grenades to blow up explosives down the field), and then take off running on the track to overcome the 1st set of hurtles. Next comes the long jump, 2nd set of hurtles, and high jump. Mountain biking consists of riding mongooses through a bumpy terrain to reach "the Wall". Be the first to ascend it and take the water slide down to the gymnastics chamber. Conquer the bars and you will reach the boats (yea I know, mongooses had to do; a kind of waverunner action). Finally, take the diving platforms or simply swim across the pool the quickest to obtain 1st place and gold. As always I welcome suggestions to make my games better so feel free to comment below. Add my GT: CaptainDireWolf and hit the download button above. Let the games begin! More pictures:
  14. Map Name: Poke' Battle GT: CaptainDireWolf Gametype: Gotta catch em all The story: You're running through the wilderness trying to avoid that darn tall grass when you suddenly encounter another trainer! Gotta fight 'em obviously. So you whip out one of your best starter pokemon (totally evolved mind you), throw the pokeball and bam, battle the opponent's pokemon. The catch is, they have similar pokemon! There's no "fainting" here ladies and gentleman... If you win the round you get to kill your opponent right then and there and take their pokemon haha! Ok in all seriousness folks, this is just a big fancy game of rock, paper, scissors, except using pokemon. It's setup for 1v1 (red vs. blue), but if others join they can watch you get crushed from the sidelines. There are 5 rounds and at the beginning of the round you choose either Venusaur, Charizard, or Blastoise and if you win you get weapons to kill your rival. For those of you who've played pokemon before you know who beats who, but for the rest of you poke' n00bs: Charizard (fire) > Venusaur (grass) Venusaur (grass) > Blastoise (water) Blastoise (water) > Charizard (fire) If by chance you both pick the same one's, then you both receive weapons and it's up to who has the most skill to take down their opponent. I've added some of my favorite pokemon just hanging out around the map (the pokemon I didn't butcher too badly trying to recreate with forge items) so see if you can spot them all! Cheers! 15. Welcome to the legendary Water Temple, inspired by Zelda Ocarina of Time N64. Hated by some, but no one could argue the beauty of it's architecture, as I feel that it's one of the most memorable temples from the game. Again, it's not a remake, meaning I worked to weave familiar aspects from Zelda into Halo gameplay, turning it into a fun, gun-crazy map. So feel free to have fun exploring as you send your fellow spartan to a watery grave within the temple's chambers. The map is fairly symmetrical in nature, with a red and blue base on either side of the central 3 floor chamber, a lower region where some of you may recognize dark link standing against the tree, and an upper region where the giant aquatic amoeba "Morpha" lies in wait to ****** up its prey... (not really, its just an aesthetic.) Smaller features around the map include hook shot locations, spike traps, moving spiky obstacles, and blocks that can be pushed aside to clear passages. Originally I tried using blue chromas for the water that could manually be raised and lowered like in the actual zelda game, but I figured people wouldn't be too keen on dropping through something they couldn't see through. Still, you can make some of the blocks "float" up and down by activating the Tri-force symbols on either side of the chamber, possibly providing easier paths for players to maneuver. I'm sure there's more I could improve on to make this map flow better and I look forward to any suggestions as you test out my map. Hope you enjoy something from one of my favorite games of all time. Cheers! Check out the forgehub link for more pics: http://www.forgehub.com/maps/water-temple.2345/ P.S. Be patient with the initial load time of the map as I think somehow the lighting causes it to take a while.
  16. Map: The Crusade Creator: CaptainDireWolf Gametype: "Grail" (basically strongholds with instant score and unlimited time) The Crusade is a mashup of ALL major Indiana Jones Movie Traps and Relics. There are a total of 12 “official” traps (lots of other ways to die) in your quest to obtain (in order): - The Golden Idol from a booby-trapped ruin in Peru - The Sankara Stones from the Temple of Doom - The Holy Grail within Petra after passing the three trials - The Ark of the Covenant - The Crystal Skull Traverse through memorable scenes from the movies on your quest for immortality. Hope you enjoy it!
  17. GamerTag: CaptainDireWolf (2-10 players ideal, though more works, but it's a little chaotic and any more don't rise out of the ground) Gametype: Catching Fire (Can't seem to figure out how to change it so camera follows people after you die. If anyone has any ideas please let me know as I get tired of staring at my dead body lol) This Hunger Games map is of course inspired by the books and movies of the same name. The idea wasn’t to copy the arena layouts from the movies as it would’ve been too big of a map. Instead, I used concepts from the book/movie that you may recognize and added my own touch to its quick-paced foundation. The Goal: The "tributes" (max 10 people in this game), are forced to fight to the death in a dangerous public arena. The idea is to not only survive, but also to obtain the reward that all Spartans crave… glory. This particular arena contains a large forest to hide in, a lake to avoid falling into, rolling snow fields below a volatile volcano, and a rocky cave. In the center of the arena, as per custom, lies the cornucopia; a horn-shaped container holding a bounty for the brave few. Within lies a few weapons if you’re fast enough to reach them and an overshield. At the beginning of the round (5 rounds), each tribute rises up out of starting tubes situated in the ground. Due to halo 5’s sweet scripting, no one is able to move or hurt each other until the gold light on the cornucopia is lighted. Once the thunder echoes in the arena it’s time to rush for the cornucopia and fight for your life… or run and seek better weapons. Each corner of the arena contains a power weapon that may aid you if you are not fast enough to grab the two SAWs located in the middle. The middle is typically a bloodbath for those rushing the SAWs and overshield so it may be in your best interest to find another weapon. To deter people from camping or hiding around the map, the gamemaker will initiate the containment protocol, where at the 1.30 minute mark each of the four corners of the map force people out of their boundaries and into the middle. The snowy hills melt and deadly lava rises up from the ground; the platforms in the lake are slowly sucked down under the waves; the ceiling of the cave descends and crushes anyone left inside; a firestorm erupts and forces people out of the forest. As always, I welcome any and all comments on ways to make this forge map even better so that more people will enjoy it. Forge on! May the odds be ever in your favor.
  18. CaptainDireWolf (2-16 players, red vs. blue teams) Gametype: Broomsticks, basically grifball but able to throw the ball to score (ricochet) Welcome to Quidditch! This is obviously a tribute to the wizard world of Harry Potter with one quaffle, multiple flying bludgers, and the golden snitch that spawns late into the match. You can choose either to play as Gryffindor (Red Team) or Ravenclaw (Blue Team). Don't choose another team color or it won't work! If there is more interest in playing as the other teams (Slytherin and Hufflepuff) I may add them in a future update. (Good for 2-16 players; play as chasers, beaters, keepers, or the seeker) Sadly you can't ride brooms as welding baskets to banshees would be very clunky... trust me, I've tried. Sooooo you’ll be flying around (i.e. traversing very smooth, undulating, invisible floors) trying to grab the quaffle ball mid-air and throw it through the opposing elevated hoops to score (Yay Ricochet gametype!). Watch out for the multiple bludgers as they fly around trying to impede your way. After two minutes the golden snitch pops into view and flies about. I also tried to eliminate spawn kills (which sometimes happens in grifball) by having players "fly in" from outside the field. *Apparently you can't script an objective object (the ball) so it could fly around like a snitch to be caught). So as of yet, you can only win by scoring with the quaffle 10 times, which is still fun. So the golden snitch simply became an aesthetic piece. With that, I certainly welcome any additional suggestions for adding or fixing or removing anything to make this map even better, as I’m an avid Harry Potter fan and try to keep everything as close to the original as possible (within the budget of course). Please click the download button on the forgehub page: http://www.forgehub.com/maps/nimbus-2000-grifball.1664/ and add my GT: CaptainDireWolf and download Nimbus 2000 Grifball (from BOOKMARKS!) to enjoy the map. Safe Flying!
