I know that the open map style and the fact that there is sight of view between the two flags will maybe disrupt the game balance. For that reason I set all Sniper Rifles to respawn after 120sec without spare clips except the Rifle on top of the Bunker. I tried to implement the terrain in my level design the best I could and expand the paths with Rocks. Each Team has a Tower (Base) on which top of them, of course is the Flag. Additional Info: Let you fall inside the Spotlight Towershull on top of each Base, to Teleport yourself away from the Enemy Base and avoiding being killed by Snipers. The Teleporters are set to `Random` which means, that there are 2 Receiver Nodes (one each side of the middle of the map.) Wish you a lot of fun to discover all the Secret Paths and the Armor Abilities and Weapons I have hidden. ;-D
  2. Well... Wow. That little bar on the right side with 4 things in it is really hindering my ability to focus. Anyways, uh, this map is made by me. My GT is: Jl1223 X Please note that it's NOT a capital i, but a lower case L. Il - there's a difference, right? Thank goodness Halo 4 forces caps on me; people misread it a total of 0% less. Hmm. What else did I have to put here, apart from images? Lets put an image first, then check. If you can't tell, the above image showcases the map; asymmetrical but both sides very similar to each other, this image features the red team's half of the map. In the distance you can see the flag plate on a bigger plate, (I think), and to its left you'll see the only structure (Apart from the decorative 3-room up in the wall) in red team's half of the map - blue team's jail. (If you don't count slides as structures. And plates.) Right, next I have to do map and gametype? Um.... Map name: Childhood Wars v2. You should be able to find it on my fileshare. Note that if you accidentally download the original, not-v2 version, I will laugh. Gametype: Imagination v2. Again, on my fileshare. Credit to AM3R1CAN MUSCLE for helping test the gametype to perfect it. The above SCREENSHOT (Yes, I actually screenshot this off a 2 second video because it's more of a hassle to screenshot and upload to internet. And it raises my self esteem. The other pictures were off 2 second videos too.) shows the red teams jail on blue team's half of the map. It features a bad luck red-teamer, who probably died trying to jailbreak his team, and a scumbag blue-teamer, who for some reason freed his enemy team from their jail. Now, uh, description? If you have ever played CTF in real life, it probably goes like this - once you pass a boundary and enter the enemy team's half on the play area (For me, it was like this big campsite place I visited when I went to USA last summer), you can only run. But if you're in your zone and an enemy comes past the border, bam! You can tag him, and escort him to jail........or have him cheat, beat you up, and win the game immediately. AAAAAAnyways, this emulates that form of CTF, except obviously with a little bit more Halo craziness. Created using 2 trait zones of both Alpha and Bravo, this game lets you have 1000% damage resistance on your side, and increased speed and jump height on the enemy's half. That isn't to say it's hard to kill you; but any good player can easily score. Play offense or defense, but note - if you die, you will respawn in a jail, just like how you escort the guy. Or have him beat you up. Blue team jail (Where blue team members respawn) is on red team's side, and vice versa. To open the jail, you'll need either a good teammate or a bad enemy to touch a landmine, which'll blow up fusion coils holding back a crate. Try not to blow them up randomly. Once they get out of jail, they get teleported back to their own side, for the game to continue. 5 captures win the game, but playing defense means you won't win. (And in the end, it's not really hard to jump over 8 guys if you're faster than everyone backtracking.) Make sure, if you're playing this in a lobby, to tell people about trait zones. Right. As I try to find my fileshare on Halo Waypoint (And also ignorantly ignore that I wrote about 90% more than the average mini-game submission, and pray people haven't lost interest already), here's another picture. Remember that this game isn't about killing but about scoring. That really kewl blue team guy with the flag? That's me. Anyways, hopefully you enjoy this map and game play style. The map features 2 shmeef's on it, and overall I've received positive feedback - from those who are either mature enough to actually give feedback, and those who actually knew how to play when the game started (IE didn't go around playing slayer on CTF, specifically with the trait zones in this game) Enjoy! And then, just to add this as practice for when I have to do write-ups for DT GCSE (Disregard the below if you have no interest in the creation process of this map): v2 fixes and additions -Fixed Red Team's Jail (Blue Team Side) having large enough gaps in the roof for blue team members to jump in and kill red team's jailed players. -Fixed Blue Team's Jail (Red Team Side) roof from being an ugly lazy pos that allowed people to jump up from the side. -Added second shmeef and new decorative slide on red team's side of map, adjacent to blue team's swing. -Added soft kill zones on discs that the capture plates were on, so as to prevent people to camp and defend there, which made capping way too hard. -Added ramps on the Forerunner flat area for aesthetic purposes. -Fixed Blue Team Jail teleporter so red team members can no longer use it. -Increased jump height and speed for flag-carrier traits, so as to improve flag carrier's ability to escape. Feedback states this is fairer than before. -Changed primary weapon from Gravity Hammer to Energy Sword. Reasons: 1. With enough time, Gravity Hammers could move the crates on both sides enough to blow up fusion coils on the inside of jails. 2. Removes risk of players being bounced by Gravity Hammers. 3. Removes chances of death due to Gravity Hammer's large splash damage. Feedback states this is fairer than before. -Fixed the chance of Red Team players 'levitating' in the corner of their jail due to man-cannon by placing extra columns. Does not stop players from levitating but does allow them to escape should the crate be moved. -Added wall to block off hole in Red Team Jail that red team players could use to jump onto the man cannon, which would then force them to be trapped the whole game.
  3. Gamertag: TheJudgemodalla Map: Barrows Gametype: SLAYER, CTF Description: Barrows is a symmetrical competitive map that supports Slayer and CTF. The map is made in an arch-shaped formation and has two bases. There are few power weapons on the map (Shotgun on top middle, Sniper w/ 4 bullets on bottom middle, Sticky Detonators on both sides, and Needlers in both bases. There is also one mongoose in each base for faster access to the middle. There is a turret on the upper level of each base, but have slightly blocked sight lines from the middle. There are 4 gravity lifts that will bring the player to the higher levels of the map. The map will work best with 4v4, 3v3, and 2v2. Knowing that using normal Infinity slayer and CTF on these maps will take away from its originality, I attempted at making the map and gameplay seem much more like halo 3 by making two gametypes, one for Slayer and one for CTF. The Map can be downloaded in the link below. The gametypes are also shown in the links below: Barrows: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/thejudgemodalla/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=6f353906-50a1-414d-bea5-5145734a5a56 Judge CTF: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/thejudgemodalla/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameSettings&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=List&startIndex=0&details=65c381d0-bf2e-4476-baad-f1658d27b9cb Original Slayer: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/thejudgemodalla/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameSettings&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=List&startIndex=0&details=b9286a76-9d88-42bf-b54f-b3e6031c3cae Hope you guys enjoy the map! 4. GT/Creator: TheBloodbath22 Map Name: Ouroboros Supported Gametypes: Slayer, CTF, KOTH, Oddball, Extraction. Supported Players: 2 - 16, Recommend 8 - 10. Description: This is an asymmetrical mid-to-large sized map designed for 4v4 to 8v8 competitive gaming, although slayer functions fine as well (except FFA). It's name is its function--the never-ending cycle of bloodlust between two sides, as there always is. Power weapons include 1 Rocket Launcher, 1 Saw, 2 Sniper Rifles, 1 Energy Sword, 1 Gravity Hammer, and 1 Sticky Detonator (only the first of which is Initial). Blue Side Red Side Centerpiece Side Path Thanks so much for taking a look, everyone! And on behalf of all Forgers, thank you THFE, who is kind enough to consider all of our hard work. 5. GT/Creator: TheBloodbath22 Map Name: "Starlight" Recommended Player Count: 10 - 16 Supported Gametypes: Slayer, CTF, Oddball, KOTH, Extraction. Description: Inspired by BT Infinity Slayer online, I decided to improvise a map dedicated more distinctly towards large-scale combat. Although close-quarters weapons are at a disadvantage here, the map has distinguished sightlines and ordnances that adjust gameplay. This is an asymmetric map with the exception of the centerpiece, which is symmetrical and upholds a Mantis. Nearly an entire asteroid of canvas map Impact is used here. I recommend CTF for the best game night, as the map was primarily designed for that gametype. 6. GT: StringyBird Map: War On Two Fronts Gametypes War On Two Fronts Recommended Party Size: 8-16 Played With CTF Description: Tested map with positive feedback. There are two pathways that connect both sides, a left one and right. In the middle of these two trenches are rocket launchers that provide fun and hectic game-play Along with the two sides, there are two high walks on the sides that provide players with the ability to snipe down on players which increases the need to hide in trenches giving a real feel of trenches. There are machine guns on both sides covering the flag, though may seemed overpowered, the machine guns can easily be broken. It may seem like a small boring map, but in reality, provides game-play as crazy has Husky's Raid yet still has teamwork involved. Don't judge the map for it's looks, I have tested it out on a party of sixteen, at first people were annoyed on the blandness of the map but quickly changed their minds after they experienced game-play May need a few tweaks. PLEASE TEST out this map with sixteen players before judging it. Will Provide Picture In Later Post
  7. Name: Collection Gamertag: YamaMX Gametypes: Slayer (2v2, 1v1, x4 FFA), CTF Collection is a different type of challenge than my other forge works in that I'm working around pre-determined areas to allow them to work outside of their intended element. The result is a small competitive map that has official visual standards not possible within the forge templates, yet forge is put to work in order to allow the intended competitive play. The other challenge in doing so comes from the lack of any forge pieces to work with and forcing these substitutes to work in a manner not to be detrimental to visual fidelity. Please watch the video for a full explanation and walk around: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2JoVbnifF4 Update: An updated version is available with a few small tweaks and a second teleporter in glass hallway (every gametype except CTF). This allows greater movement around the map without the ability to camp an exit.
  8. Map Name: Spartan Space Castles 4.0 File Share Gamertag: CROOKLYN05 Canvas Map: IMPACT Last Updated: 2/21/13 Tags: ctf, halo 4 Supported Game types: Slayer, KOTH, Dominion, Slayer, Flood, CTF Best Gametypes: Dominion, Slayer, KOTH, CTF, Dominion Intended Team Size(s): 8-16 player (Big Team Battle Best) Initial Ordnance:5 2- Jet Pack 1- Sniper 1- Railgun 1 - Auto Sentry Random Ordnance: Default Weapons on Map: None Armor Abilities/Powerups on map: Default Supported Vehicles: Mantis, Warthog, Banshee Budget: ####/10000 - 9900/10000 Screenshots: http://www.chamink.com/SSC-AD-Ver-2.jpg Video Flythrough/Overview Link: (This fly through is of 3.0 but both are alike) Map Description: Two Legendary Factions once Ruled here. Until one day, the Greed for Power and Control turned allies against each other. When the great war of the S.S.C's ended. All that remained were two abandoned behemoths that lay in ruin as the devastating reminder of what war can bring. Spartan Space Castles 4.0, is a map that utilizes the space provided on impact. I was always of fan of Halo 1's Blood Glutch. Just the size of that map was awesome. Countless hours playing Blood Gulch, CTF and just playing in the huge terrain that it provided. This map features two castle bases. Each is equipped with auto turrets and vehicles. All vehicles can travel where as possible. Even across the walkway. The walkway provides a means of getting across the span. There are two banshees at each base as well. There are plenty of ways in and out of the castles and around the map. It is really made for Big Team Battles, just based on the shear size of this map. Again I like maps that feel like campaign maps where you travel and cover vast areas of the board. There is a tunnel system in the back of Castle Beta to make for some fun close encounters. I also wanted to add some detailed pieces like the damaged doors and command centers to give it more of a campaign feel. Enjoy! Does this map use players trait zones? No If so, please provide the details for each trait zone: Additional Info (optional): Map is still being adjusted tested and updated. Thanks for checking it out. www.chaminkproductions.com
  9. Gamertag: TheJudgemodalla Map Name: Silo Gametype: Team Slayer, CTF, KOTH, Dominion, Oddball Description: Silo is a large symmetrical competitive map that works with almost every gametype in Halo 4 as of now. There are 3 main areas which may be vital areas of control, which are the Red Spawn, Blue Spawn and the Middle Base, or just A, B and C for short (A being red, B being the middle base and C being blue). Each base has two gravity lifts which can bring the player to the highest level of the map, being a connection of rings made by bridges. These higher pathways have mass coverage over parts of the map, but in return have no cover what so ever from fire below. Each base is supplied with a sniper rifle and the middle base holds a Rocket Launcher. The opposite side of the middle base is an isolated rock path that is separated from the central routes of the map (this area holds a Spartan Laser). Both the Red and Blue spawns hold Warthogs which can only be accessed by the team corresponding to the color (red or blue). I placed shield doors in front of bases A and C so that immediate fire would not occur and kill players instantly (much like how it did on Countdown). The center of the map has a man cannon that will launch the player to the middle ring of the elevated paths. This map also has a auto turret that can fire at enemies in the center of the map (only in dominion). This map would work well with 4v4, 5v5, and 6v6 due the the amount of coverage one spartan can hold. Please leave feedback if you could. ANY COLOR DISORDERS APPLYING TO THE MIDDLE BASE AND OTHER PARTS HAVE BEEN FIXED. FACT: This only took about 3 days to make...
  10. Map: Crossbow (Now with link!) Fileshare Gamertag: Curly Parmesan Canvas Map: Longbow Supported Game Types: Dominion, Big Team Slayer, and Two Flag Heavy (or any CTF) Best Game Type: Dominion Intended Team Size: 12-16 players Initial Ordnance: Rocket Launcher x2 Sniper Rifle x2 2x pulse grenades x2 Gravity Hammer Random Ordnance: Fuel Rod Cannon x2 Incineration Cannon x2 Spartan Laser x2 Rocket Launcher Objective Ordnance: Three per base, consisting mostly of Rockets, Spartan lasers, Sniper Rifles, Railguns, and Sticky Dets Weapons on Map: None Armor Abilities/Powerups on Map: None Supported Vehicles: Alpha and Charlie (4 total each) Warthog Gauss Hog Mantis Banshee Bravo (4 total) Warthog x2 Rocket Hog Banshee Around Map Mongoose x4 Warthog x2 Neutral Scorpion Budget: 7990/10000 Screenshots: Overview (Note: Banshees and Bravo vehicles are unmarked, but they are represented) Charlie Charlie Fortified Bravo Bravo Fortified Alpha Alpha Fortified Map Description: Crossbow harkens back to the older days of Halo 3 of playing Standoff Heavy, Sandtrap Heavy, and Avalanche Heavy by bringing intense vehicle play and long sightlines to your Halo 4 experience. It utilizes the default Dominion gametype and is watertight. There's a teleport system behind Red and Blue garage as a form of Alpha Charlie movement option outside of Bravo control. Red an Blue garages have been blocked off, but have a mongoose and warthog beside them. All bases have two turrets, 3 entrances with shields, and 2 entrances with no shields. NOTE: There is no dynamic lighting on non-forge world maps. All objective drops are Human themed. Finally, spawning is tight with respawn zones and anti-respawn zones. All feed back is welcome, and I hope you enjoy Crossbow.
  11. Hi Guys, I am aware this may not be one of the best places to do it but I just want some feedback on my map Omission. This is the first truly quality map that I have made on Halo 4, I spent hours on it. Made a few on Reach but none of my friends are really Forgers so they were somewhat undermined. I have some friends that really love it, it is designed for Halo 4 matchmaking and I can honestly say you will not be disappointed if you decide to take a look. I'm really looking for feedback and ideas to make the map better, so even if a few could download it it would really be appreciated. Name: Omission Game-types: Slayer, SWAT, CTF and KOTH Best with: As many players possible. Description: Symmetrical map set on a UNSC research base/laboratory that studies planetary rocks. Has some very cool aesthetics and play aspects to it, plenty of cover and a huge tactical element to it. Gamertag: xTheGreyWolfx Hope you guys enjoy
  12. The first one is a CTF map called Gravity, great for 2-8 players. It is small, and contains 2 mongooses, 2 ghost, and 2 banshees. There is an indoor and out door area(the outdoor area having lower gravity). The map is perfectly symmetrical. The second one is made for a custom flood mode in my fileshare called "Gravemind"(in my fileshare). The map is called "Highway to He11 V2". Please give feedback so I can improve these amps and hopefully get them added to mathmaking.

  14. Download: BaDaSsBaS1L1Sk 's fileshare Gametype: Mad Dash Map Variant: Mad Dash I wasn't really sure if this counts as competitive or as a mini-game!!! Mad Dash is a fun CTF variant built in the Grifball Court. It comprises of 4 Bases (one in each corner) for each of the 4 teams (Red, Blue, Gold and Green). Each base has: 4 Initial Spawns, 4 Respawns, Dominion Shields (Protecting the door and Ceiling)and 1 Dominion Turret on the roof. In the centre of the room there is a small sandbag emplacement with 4 mounted machine gun turrets, one facing each base. The gametype is set up so that each player has random weapons, a hard light shield, 3 second respawn times and unlimited lives. The match will go on for an unlimited time until a team has scored 5 captures. Please inform me of any bugs, glitches or improvements I could make to this map. Thank You!
  15. Map: Renury Gamertag: XreignZ Map Description Played as 4v4 or 5v5 (or 2v2 I guess), this symmetrical map works with Team Slayer, Extraction, CTF, Oddball, and if people want it for some reason I will add KOTH. It is designed to be an arena style map similar to what you would see in competitive gaming tournaments such as MLG or AGL, which is why some weapon spawns aren't done as ordnance and personally I think the map plays better on MLG/GB/AGL settings. Renury is quite an open map, with some long sight lines, but there is always some decent cover nearby or a different floor to jump up or down onto. The main inspirations for this map were Sanctuary and Simplex, there are certain maps which just inspire me to forge and those are two of them So please post any constructive criticisms in the comments below! Don't be too harsh as I'm still pretty new to forging competitive maps. Red Base Gold Extenstion For a more detailed overview and small glimpse of gameplay check out this video (that I rushed out real quick just to post this )
  16. Hey, guys, send a msg to xFinalxMYTH1Cx to join my custom forge testing!
  17. Map Name is Contra v2 GT Is JLAxxSPARTAN116 The map works great for Team Slayer and CTF and I recommend you use the MLG v1 variants. It is completely symmetrical and very competitive so check it out and give me some feedback Hope to hear from y'all soon!! Update #1 -Changed rocket for incendiary and swapped sides with sniper. So now sniper is on top green while incendiary is on rock formation. Update #2 -Removed man cannons. -Removed some of the natural rocks to have better line if sights. -Switched Incendiary back for rockets. -Added more asthetics. Weapons on map Rockets spawn every 3min Sniper spawn every 2min Overshield spawn every 2min Ammo Pickups 2x DMR 6x BR 2x Carbine 2x LightRifle 2x Boltshot 4x Pistol 2x Plasma Pistol Here is a walkthrough of the map. http://youtu.be/oQobpHFgDNQ

  19. Back when Halo Reach and even Halo 3 were the top games being played, I remember that you could hop on, looking for a little chaos, and play some Big Team Battle. My favorite part about this is that it wouldn't just be Slayer. There was CTF, Assault, and Slayer. My favorite by far was CTF. That was the best. Especially on Valhalla in Halo 3. I want to relive those moments in this game. So please 343, put in Big Team Battle not Big Team Infinity Slayer. You can probably keep both playlists if you want. The best would probably be just a playlist dedicated to CTF, Assault, and Oddball (that would be hectic). My friends usually reminisce about Reach and all of the fun we had, loading up in a warthog and storming the enemy base for their flag and trying to leave without being killed. It was so fun and would make Halo 4 a thousand times better if it was put in. Thank you for reading this and I hope you take this into consideration if you make any updates to matchmaking. Keep up the great work, Sam
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFAFZ4lMDAM Gamer Tag: LeadingChimera3 Liquid Space is a symmetrical team objective map. It also plays very well as an infinity slayer map, or as a flood map. The element that I spent the most time on and eventually built the rest of the map around is the "Liquid Space" gravity pool. It is comprised of 12 10x10 gravity volumes and a couple overlapping trait zones. The end result is a 20x10 free standing gravity pool that you cannot fall out of. The pool area is a great fun for lots of mini games and such, but I also wanted to build a full team objective map around it. Even though the map has a very unusual central element, it is surprisingly straightforward and simple to understand. (The video clips are all from one game with many first time players. As you can see they intuitively pick up on what to do quite quickly.) I worked very hard on making every room in each base as dynamic as possible. The 2 floor central control rooms have created some really awesome conflicts during my time testing out the map.
  21. GT: s0uldier (0 is a zero) Map Name: Acute Gametype: MLG TS v1, MLG CTF v1, Infinty slayer Symmetrical triangular map with multilevels. Designed for 2v2 to 4v4
  22. v1.1 EDIT: Some cover has been added to the map such as rocks and walls. Also some floors have been changed. GamerTag: LiquidLuigi Map: Entirety v1.1 Gametype: Slayer, Koth Want to test the map? Message me to my GT: LiquidLuigi Entirety is a simplistic 4v4 map that is compatible with slayer and king of the hill. There are only red and blue spawns on this map and you only spawn on your side of the map. In a game of ctf, it is very effective to run the flag through the middle portion of the map. However, the other team may catch you off guard. There is also a jump up to each of the bases. The weapons on this map include: 1 Sniper Rifle 1 Rocket Launcher 2 Magnums 4 Sticky Grenades 2 Pulse Grenades This is the first version of the map just in case I need to make changes to it.

    CTF

We need a gametype where its actually like mlg. Slayer pro yes, but also the flag where I can pick it up and not be immediately seen by all, its dumb for serious players..... on a side note I really miss having a skill rank
  24. 1. GT: Hatchet Jackson 2. Taurus Station 3. Infinity slayer, CTF 4. Taurus Station Check out the map v2 and give suggestions. An original map on impact. Made for big team battle, ctf, or infinity slayer located on the impact map on the asteroid with the artifact building. It Is a mostly symmetrical horseshoe style map with two identical bases, a central buildinga ridge with a reactor plant, a research site, and a giant digger machine. So in building this map I tried to have most of the map look like it could be on a asteroid mining facility. The map currently has low Gravity and speed all over the exteriors on the map but has increased gravity and speed in the central. Neither the outside nor the central interior is to drastic that it feels uncompetitive or like a mini game map. I also played around with gravity volumes on ramps to give vehicles a bit of weightlessness and give the artifact an attraction to a kill ball.

Download Link Player Count: 10-14 Gametypes: Team Slayer, Multi Flag CTF, 3-Flag, Assault, Neutral Bomb, Stockpile, KOTH, 3-Plots Hello everyone. In an attempt to bring more activity to the Forge World forums, several avid forgers including myself have decided to share our goods here. Most of these are not new maps (this one was finished last November after five months of testing), but these are quality maps which have been tested endlessly and honed to something resembling perfection. So, what is S? Well, it is a symmetrical map for squad/BTB games (10-14 players). The map is designed completely around creating a perfect balance between infantry and warthogs. The map plays a mean game of multi flag CTF, with some of the most hectic but balanced gameplay around. This video should explain everything to you, and I know you'd all rather listen to me speak than read a wall of text. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUkyY1grmfI&list=SP6A29376A730D8C40&index=3&feature=plpp_video So, that covers pretty much everything, right? Thanks to all the testers and everyone who helped with this map in any way. You guys are the best. For the rest of you, what are you waiting for? Go play this map! Don't forget, the map also supports 4-player splitscreen! Thanks for reading! Don't forget to download!
