  2. FOUND AT EGMNOW Microsoft is looking for a graphics developer to work on the “next generation of game visuals in the Halo universe,” at 343 Industries. The job ad on Microsoft’s careers site reads: “Microsoft Studios 343 Industries is looking for an experienced graphics developer to help create the current and next generation of game visuals in the Halo universe. Work on one of the most exciting and creative properties in the industry; Work with the incredible 343 team to help drive the future of Halo.” The ad also mentions that DirectX 11 experience is a plus, and considering that the Xbox 360 doesn’t support it, that tends to suggest a next-generation title. Unless the next Halo is also being developed for PC, which is unlikely. We already know that two more Halo games are planned in 343′s new series, and it appears that Halo 5 will be on Microsoft’s next-generation console, according to this advert.

If its record-breaking launch wasn't proof enough, Minecraft for the Xbox 360 is now a bonafide commercial success. Creator Markus Persson announced on Twitter today that the game has now sold 3 million copies on Xbox Live, generating $60 million since launch in early May. Minecraft for the Xbox 360 has dug out commercial success. "I got told Minecraft for XBLA passed three million sales today!" he wrote. Upon launch on May 9, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition became profitable in just one hour, selling over 400,000 copies during its first 24 hours on sale, and breaking all previous Xbox Live arcade digital sales records. The game reached 1 million in sales in just five days, and recorded more unique users on Xbox Live than Call of Duty: Black Ops for the week of May 14. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition was developed by 4J Studios, the Scotland-based shop that built Xbox Live Arcade titles Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, and Banjo-Tooie. It retails for $20.
  5. IGN is just revealed the new design of the Halo 4 legendary logo and there are massive changes to the new logo. As before we were all familiar with the elite skull but what creature could this skull belong to? Here is a picture of the new logo along with the previous one please leave your thoughts on this new design.
  6. Here Is Entry 13, hope you enjoy it! 1. The Pit This map is very MLG Specified. From the Opening strategy to the ending strategy. Okay, so, to begin with, you want to send everyone here Why? Well, the name is in the picture, its where the rockets are, and the rockets are essential for any form of gameplay. Since the Pit is so open, you can run around freely and kill everyone you want to, with rockets, the pit is your playground, so, i would send at least 3 of your team to rockets, and 1 guy through the other hall (Right of rocket hall) so they can come round the back of their side of rocket hall and kill them from the back. In the mid game, you need to control their side, so, all of this: Needs to be controlled, specifically, the sniper tower on the far right? Why? cause then you control spawns and can dominate the game just by picking them off spawn. Also, You may want to control their side of green so you can kill them off the spawn of the top left side of them which is not in the picture, but, this is an easy to get quick flag caps if done properly, In My Opinion, Id have the following: ONE Person at their side of Rocket Hall ONE Person at their side of the hall right of Rocket Hall (Long Hall) ONE Person moving the flag through Rocket Hall ONE Person at their sniper tower to cover everyone off their spawn. This is the ideal setup, we all know 9/10 we won't get this perfect, but if you get around that are you have a strong chance of winning games, just make sure you are all covering each other cause if 1 / 2 people die, the whole setup breaks and you guys may have to be defending instead of attacking. For Defending i'd do the same setup, it is a sort of reversible setup as it works both ways, again, its all about teamwork though, NEVER use sword though unless necessary, because, its of no worth and you will be seen as just looking for kills in a flag game, which we don't. 2. Preparing For Halo 4. Now, with halo 4 coming out in a little while i feel people could be doing some preparation for halo 4. to begin with, why you should play halo 3. Halo 3: BR, Movement, Maps due to colour and stuff, and possibly the ranking system, since we have no idea of what the ranking system is going to be like, we can presume its going to be somewhat like the halo 3 one. (Not the XP one, the trueskill one.), Carbine. Halo Reach: DMR, AA's, Jumping, HitScan, 5 Shot Kill, Some Maps, Some Covanent/Promethean Weapons, Sniper. 3.Specializations For Halo 4. As a player from halo 1, this kind of scares me but excites me at the same time. Specializations. This new feature which gives you slight adjustments to your armour causes you to get little effects, here is a video of it all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMu_goBmBwU So, with this, i was wondering what specializations you guys would pick, put in the comments below what you would pick, but personally, i'd pick Wetworks Or Tracker, as it seems that these 2 are the most game beneficial, but, i want to know what you want. So, say below! 4. Dual Combo in MLG Now, i don't mean dual combo as in double spikers, SMG, etc, i mean like, favourite combo, IE: DMR/Sniper, DMR/Magnum, etc. Personally, my favourite is DMR/Plasma Pistol, why? I can overcharge the Plasma pistol and pick up the easy kill with the DMR, or DMR and Sniper for the same reasons. But, combos change depending on the player, so i'd be interested to know what your favourite combo is and why 5.   9. This is a new gameplay video, from Machinima. This gameplay is on the newly shown map Solace. As described in the video, it has a Promethean feel to it, but also with organic compounds.   12. Info Found by: SykoWolf Thanks to Waypoint User Noble Squash for pointing this out. If you look at the 2:15 mark in the recent behind the scenes video, towards the bottom left you will see an unidentified creature. This creature looks very similar to a crawler, but is slimmer and much more dog like. This can also be seen in the E3 trailer, but I didn’t think much of it back then. Now compare this with the original crawler and the more heavily armored crawler spotted in Spartan Ops. Some believe that the wolf-like promethean is just another class of crawler which varies in its strength and tactics from other crawlers. Perhaps it is the fastest/weakest type of crawler, because instead of having a fully armored pincer head, it has an exposed smaller head. Just a thought, either way I think it looks awesome.

We've seen this in other videos, but watching a skilled guy like that play makes it that much clearer The Warthog turret has a new sound, which i can't say i like. Enjoy! _____________________________________________________________________________________ The Knights are one of three subdivisions within the Prometheans. Crawlers are basically cannon fodder to distract from the Knights. Watchers are support units. They can shield knights, spawn watchers, resurrect knights. Prometheans work together strategically. Frankie's example of a Knight sniping him, he takes cover behind a column, Crawlers attack him by crawling down from the column. Promethean weapons/equipment designed to fight Flood. There are different variants of Knights, watchers, and crawlers. Knight - Deadly warriors, use weapons like Light Rifle and Supressor. Knight Lancer - Scouts and Marksmen, use Promethean Vision to locate hidden enemies Knight Commander - Have skills of Knights, but can wield Incineration Cannons, stronger armor, Autosentry turrets Knight Battlewagon - Rare but incredibly dangerous, huge frames draped in heavy armor and hardlight shielding, can deploy Autosentries, will wield Scattershot if you get too close. (Orange patterns through body and on face, orange spikes on back. Super badass!) Watcher - Wield boltshots, summon crawlers, protect and resurrect Knights. Crawler - Agile and move in packs, fire Boltshot from distance Crawler Snipe - upgraded crawlers, no further details. I assume they keep larger ranges. Alpha Crawler - Lead packs of Crawlers, has a Supressor This is just details about the Prometheans, might be considered spoilers to some people. Warning, the information below may reveal spoilers to the story in Halo 4. Prometheans work for the Forerunner civilization, "or whatever is left of it." Why do they now appear as robotic entities? Were they always this way? Prometheans are directed by a "general of sorts". First you encounter the Covenant. Then the Prometheans. But it is when they combine forces, and how they combine, that will offer biggest surprises. Also, the variants of the Prometheans weren't the blue ones, perhaps those are a different faction? I think the armor video is very interesting it really gives us a proper look at how the different armor pieces will look worn in game.   19. At Pax 2012, legendary game designer Hideo Kojima showed off a big chunk of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. The game is open world, with vehicles, but with a stealth twist. Kojima said MGS: Ground Zeroes is not Metal Gear Solid 5; it's a "prologue." By: Stephen Johnson From: G4TV It is a prologue but still looks amazing. Built on the Fox Engine, the demo level shown featured a long cut-scene (naturally) that transitioned seamlessly to in-engine gameplay footage. According to Kojima, the lushly detailed demo gameplay we saw is not for next-gen systems. This is how it will look on your PS3 or 360. Although Kojima pointed out that the game is scalable to next-gen systems. In the demo, Snake (yes, he's back) is tasked with infiltrating a U.S. prison built in Cuba. We see Snake climbing up a cliff in the rain, at night. At the top, he nears the prison, dodging search lights by cowering behind rocks and lying on the ground. After dodging the headlights of a truck (Ground Zeroes will feature a variety of vehicles you can ride in) Snake sets his gun-sights on the guard manning the tower. He takes a silenced-shot, and the enemy slumps over. Because this game is in early state, we don't get to see inside the prison. Instead, Snake lights off a flare on the ground, drawing a helicopter. You'll be able to call a helicopter at any time, although if you summon a helicopter in too conspicuous an area, it could be shot down. According to Kojima, the helicopter can play whatever music you choose. For the demo, it's Wagner (shades of Apocalypse Now), although if your music is too loud, that could draw enemies as well.   20. IGN has released forge mode games of Grif Ball and Odd Ball, these all time favorite games types look amazing in Halo 4. The quality isn't 100 % but still can be viewed clearly.   21. Here is a screen shot of what is supposedly called the "Incinerator Cannon" it appears this will be the Promethean/Forerunner Equivalent to the Human Rocket Launcher.   23. A huge update for the Xbox 360 version Minecraft is available to download right now for free. The patch adds all kinds of new features, and fixes a number of problems. To download it, just boot up your game and the patch will download automatically. Here's the full list of fixes and additions: Features Added Pistons & Sticky Pistons. Added Stackable fences. Added Shears – required to get wool from sheep, and to collect leaf blocks. TNT needs Flint and Steel or Redstone to detonate. Redstone wire will now connect to a repeater. New textures for Cobblestone and Brick. Added Character Skin Selector to allow players to choose their skin from the default skins, or from Downloadable Content skin packs. Added lighting improvements (brought forward from 1.8.2 update) and snow & rain improvements. Added a save file cache to improve the speed of displaying the saves list. Added ban list functionality to allow players to self-ban from levels they feel contain offensive content. Added a ban list section to the How To Play menus.
