  1. If you're a Battlefield fan and can't get enough of Battlefield 4, fear not, for more content is coming as DICE has confirmed! Battlefield 4 launched in a state of pure and true horror, from minor glitches that incited laughter to full out crashes and game losses that made people throw their controllers at the television. It's nice though now that DICE and EA are trying to get back on our good side with the announcement of new DLC over Battlefield.com. The team confirmed that Final Stand won't be the end and that new expansion maps are on their way. These maps will be remakes of popular older maps such as Noshar Canals or Grand Bazaar, and DICE is polling the fans, which I've left a link to below. These maps will be 100% free as confirmed by a DICE LA Producer over Twitter. It will act as new content to hold off for the launch of the next Battlefield, Battlefield: Hardline, which was delayed into March 2015 also as a way to show that DICE and EA are desperate to get back into consumer's hearts. The content (as of yet) will be available on all platforms for free, and no release date has been confirmed just yet. View attachment: BF4FinalStand.jpg It's really nice to see DICE doing something good for the community, with EA's blessing, and even though Battlefield 4 had a rocky start, this will really help lengthen the time in-game and make opinions a bit more positive. What's your take on this? What map do you want to see remade most? Vote here, thanks for reading folks! Merry EAster... Wait... Wrong holiday...
  2. INFORMATION FOUND AT GAMESPOT [uPDATE] EA confirms next entry in shooter series, promises access to beta next year for those who preorder October's Medal of Honor Warfighter; "The Battlefield 3 story is still just the beginning," company says. This morning, Electronic Arts confirmed Battlefield 4, and said a beta for the new shooter will commence during fall 2013 for unspecified platforms. Gamers can get access to the trial period by preordering this October's Medal of Honor Warfighter. EA said more details regarding Battlefield 4 and its beta will be announced at a later date. Battlefield 4's beta will deploy next fall. Speculation concerning Battlefield 4 was sparked over the weekend, when EA's Origin webstore posted, and subsequently removed, promotional material for the game. [uPDATE] The official Battlefield website has been updated with a message from EA on Battlefield 4. The statement says the company has nothing further to share on Battlefield 4 at present, and talked up Battlefield 3 as a game still in its early stages. "Even with billions of bullets fired and millions of games played, we know the Battlefield 3 story is still just the beginning," reads a line from the statement. The existence of Battlefield 4 comes as little surprise. Battlefield 3 arrived in October 2011 to a warm critical reception and shipments of 15 million units. Additionally, EA Labels president Frank Gibeau said in November "there is going to be a Battlefield 4." Battlefield 4 may not be the only new franchise entry in the works. A report from May suggested series developer DICE was at work on a new entry in the spinoff series, Battlefield: Bad Company 3. Battlefield 4's beta will deploy next fall.

  4. Hello everyone, and welcome to another issue of the Weekly News Wrap-Up! Before I start, I'd like to honour my grandmother, Maria, who unfortunately passed on. Her birthday was yesterday and I went to visit her grave for the first time in years. She was an amazing woman, who worked all day and raised a household of three children in a country where immigrants like her had to work hard for every cent they made. May she rest in peace, her legacy live on. Now, unto the wrap-up. You can pick Battlefield 4 up on August 14th at 10:00 A.M. Pacific Time. Once you start playing, the clock ticks down, so if you choose to grab it now and don't play it for another week, fear not, for it's tied to each player's game time. IGN.com reports that Activision has shown off the specifications, and I'll walk you through them. You'll need Windows 7 or Windows 8, both need to be 64 bit. 6. Battlefield 4 September update details With September being just around the corner DICE has given us the list of fixes they have in store for Battlefield 4. The changes about to be made are based of results and feedback from community members using The Battlefield 4 Community Test Environment. One of the big fixes is changes to the soldier movement. The soldier movements will now be similair to those of Battlefield 3 but without comprimising the visuals. This also makes it easier to get out of undesired firefights. DICE has also made the 3rd person reaction a bit less eccentric as the character models would move their heads a lot when being hit. The next big fix is the removal of 'screen clutter' which is not being able to see your enemy because of all the HUD elements and mostly dying because of this. (Battlefield 4 players will know for sure) Your HUD will now only display the things that are vital and you'll be given the choice of what you want displayed personally. Weapon balancing will also occur as usual. This time DICE has focussed on the time to kill and worked towards making is consistent. "We've focused on maintaining a consistent Time To Kill (how long an average engagement lasts for). With the changes to visual recoil, the third person hit reactions and improved tickrates has been sped up somewhat as we still need to balance this with damage and recoil changes." DICE has also tweaked the visual recoil which makes it so that close and medium ranged optics will not move with the gun anymore. Improvements have been made to the revive mechanic which will now have a charge meter and make a different sound when fully charged. Ragdolls have been improved to help with the revives. Improving the netcode has also been done. This will make ping differences, trading kills and getting killed behind cover less of an issue. They've also looked at vehicle balancing and tinkered around a bit where it was necessary. DICE has also shared some details on what they'll tend towards next update. This will include improving teamplay and objective gameplay. What would you like to see fixed? And was there something that bugged you but has been fixed now? Let me know down below! Thank you for reading! Source Source This post has been promoted to an article

  8. Battlefield 4 has been banned in China after the release of the China Rising DLC. According to Techie News, the Chinese Government accused EA, Published of Battlefield, of creating a form of cultural invasion. China Rising is Battlefield 4's first expansion. Set on the Chinese mainland, it contains new maps, modes, vehicles, assignments, and weapons and follows the fictional story of Admiral Chang, who wants to overthrow the government. With the release, China's Ministry of Culture wants to ban all forms of Battlefield 4, and plans to prohibit the sale of physical copies of the game and all related downloads, demos, patches, and news. News site PCGames.com reports BF4 has been characterized as illegal on the grounds that it "endangers national security and cultural aggression." Electronic Arts declined to comment on the matter, but considering it doesn't sell Battlefield 4 in China, the ruling might not come to matter too much. What is troubling for the company is the delay of the DLC where the game isn't banned. In a recent comment to IGN regarding the delay of the China Rising DLC, EA said, "We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel your pain. We will not stop until this is right." 9. With a new DLC release coming closer, EA has released the content of the Dragons Teeth DLC for Battlefield 4 Getting bored of playing the same Battlefield 4 maps over and over again? Don't worry! New DLC is coming our way! And to get us ready for it EA has released the contents of this new DLC called Dragons Teeth. As usual players can expect 4 new maps. Which are called Lumphini Garden, Pearl Market, Propaganda and Sunken Dragon. The map called Sunken Dragon already has some details on it. A screenshot can be seen here: And like every Battlefield 4 map it has a levolution effect. Which is be draining the huge river that runs through the map. This effect will give vehicles more room to move around, so once that river drains you better get some explosive ordnance ready! The DLC will also feature 5 new weapons, a shield gadget, a remote controlled vehicle called the R.A.W.R (awesome name), a new gamemode called chain link, and 10 new assignments (Which will probably unlock some of the weapons and gadgets). People with Premium will of course get 2 weeks early acces. What are your thought on this DLC? Let me know down below! Thank you for reading! 10. Finally DICE releases private servers in Battlefield 4 for the consoles. A feature that has been there on the PC for a long time is now coming to the consoles. This kinda reminds me of Battlefield 3 in which the private servers were also released later for the consoles. The feature has now been implemented for the PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360. The Xbox One is expeciencing some trouble but DICE assures us that it will be on later. Of course there is a price tag on this. (It's EA remember) Servers can be rented for the following times and prices: 1 Day for $1,49 1 Week for $6,99 1 Month for $24,99 And 3 Months for $59,99 Expect the same prices in Euro's for Europe DICE has stated that this is a 'soft launch' and that there are a limited amount of servers available. More will become available soon. Would you buy a server? Next up are the Watch_Dogs season pass details Since Watch-Dogs will be up for sale on the 27th of May for all last and next-gen consoles (excluding the Wii-U) it is time to consider buying the season pass. The seaon pass will save you 25% cash compared to buying all the DLC seperately. Here are the current details on the season pass as of now: -A single-player story mode through the eyes of 'T-Bone' (Double the fun) -Conspiracy, a game mode in which players can hunt for cyborgs in a different gaming dimension (Hilarity ensues) -More single-player missions, weapons and outfits (HATS!) -A week early acces to all DLc content (Which is sorta a standard thing these days) The price has not been officially released yet but it will probably be somewhere between $15 and $20. Will you be getting Watch_Dogs and the Season pass? 11. Rubberbanding issues? Not anymore! At least that's what DICE claims to fix with their next update for the game. The problem now is that people on 64-player servers are experiencing a lot of rubber banding (teleporting all of the place basicly). This problem became even more appearant with the Naval Strike expansion pack. DICE stated that the root problem was "a configurartion of certain hardware types dedicated to 64-player matches. They are as they say 'unhappy' with the current server problems and are working to fix it by improving the server hardware. The update rolls out this week and DICE is currently testing the hell out of this solution before rolling it out. They want to make sure that this upgrade fixes the rubber banding issue which they are aiming to resolve and also improving the general quality of server performance. DICE was working to get this update out ASAP earlier this week but this testing was keeping them from doing so. Which is a good thing. As always leave comments below! Thanks for reading! 12. Hey guys! It's that time again. Since I got great response on my previous Review on the xbox One I decided to review... Battlefield 4! (Xbox One edition) Ah yes... The next game in an epic franchise. I'll be honest I'm not a grizzled Battlefield veteran since I've only played Battlefield 3 before this. But hey... now you can get a review from someone who doesn't keep reffering to 'the good ol' days'. Let's start of with the campaign This game is not known for great campaign gameplay. And now I know why. I'll start by saying that I've not completed the entire campaign because it won't save my progress for some reason... I don't know if this is because of the xbox One or poor design but it is most certainly very frustrating to keep starting the campaign over and over and over and over and over and over and over an... I think this pretty much sums it up. For what I've been able to play, which I think was half way through, I've gotta hand it to them. The graphics are awesome. But besides that it was pretty mediocre. The story line in my opinion is wierd... I don't know how else to put it. Maybe I've been looking at it wrong or simply I don't understand but I don't knwo why China banned this game because their reputation was at stake. It's a complete unrealistic situation and far fetched to say the least. Again, maybe I've not played it enough but this is what I think about it. Now the mechanics like blowing up stuff is still awesome. But the AI is as dumb as a leaking tea bag. Taking cover behind a tiny fence post or sitting at the wrong side of the wall is not what I call clever. At least it's fun running through hordes of enemies like it's no sweat. Now onto the real battlefield! The Multiplayer With the upped graphics of the Xbox One the multiplayes is amazing to look at. Building blowing up left and right and getting shot at from all sides makes this feel like real war. It is all a bit overwhelming when you first step in. So many thing to see. So many customizable things! But you'll adapt quickly, I'm sure. Once settled down, I had a great time going all tactical. It really is much different from battlefield 3. Less arcady in my opinion. Although the netcode is a bit frustrating from time to time... There are a few down sides to this game though. Like there are no player owned servers for the xbox One. I'm not sure if those are still comming but for now playing 32 vs 32 on operation Metro is a bit too much of the good thing. Speaking of too much of a good thing, I know explosions are awesome but there are far too many. Again operation Metro is a perfect example. From the american side it is impossible the move up. Even with the new ways te get up, there is no possible way past the barricade of grenades, grenade lauchers and other explosives which can be reacuired from ammo packs with relative ease. Another example of too much of a good thing is Commander mode. A great new feature which can be accesed by tablet as well. Adds a bit of tactical gameplay too... If the commander commands it's troops. Which does not happen all that often sadly. Most commanders I've encountered only used tools and didn't order the troops around. I know most of 'em won't listen and do whatever they want. But there are players out there who are willing to follow. Now another annoying little gimmick is the constant UAV's in the air. Sadly it's almost impossible to be stealthy if UAV's are a constant threat. All in all a great feature, but Battlefield could have done without it really. I think I'm gonna wrap up right here. I know there is much more to be said but this review is getting too long already. I've put up a lot of bad points and didn't really counter weight it with a lot of good points but there are just so many things to talk about. I do recommend picking up this game if you like shooters. Although it is frustrating from time to time it is still hella fun! Thanks for reading! And as always leave any tips in the comments! Post edit: So yeah... appearently a couple of images went missing when I posted this. Just fixed that! (I hope)
  13. Hey guys, I've recently ordered My Xbox One with Battlefield 4 and a Titanfall pre-order. But I've been hearing mixed thing about Battlefield 4. I know about some of the bugs and glitches but how bad is it really? Is it really 'unplayable'?

  15. I don't see a lot of topics on Invasion anymore. I was actually upset when i found out that it'd be absent in Halo 4, but either way, do you think invasion will make a return in Halo 5 ? Personally, i really liked it. That was the only game mode i played with the exception of Big team Battle and Team Slayer. But, the only thing Halo 4 did that somewhat resembled Invasion was create Dominion and i still felt as if it wasn't enough, but i took what i could get, and now, it's gone, i can't even play that, hah. Being big on Battlefield, i really grow bored of a game if i don't exactly have an objective. In fact, now that i think of it, Invasion was like Battlefield's RUSH game mode. But, that's besides the point. Anywho, do you guys think invasion would make a return in Halo 5 ?
  16. This is a video on my first impressions of the battlefield 4 beta feel free to add anything you think i didn't cover or drop a comment on what you thought of my video! Thanks for watching, PEEACCCEEE!!
  17. Anybody else pumped for BF4? I personally like Battlefield more than Call of Duty and the immense amount of stuff you can do in 4 looks super promising. Blowing up skyscrapers? Using commander mode? Gassing a room or throwing a bomb inside and then locking and holding the door shut? I think this game and I will have some good times in the future.
