  1. It's official - Assassin's Creed Victory is in the works for a reveal on May 12th, and you can RSVP now to see it first. As a huge Assassin's Creed fan, I was perplexed when I noticed that E3 was fast approaching and no official Assassin's Creed Victory announcement had been made. If you were like me, then May 12th is going to be a great day for Assassin's Creed according to the game's official website and Twitter.com account. Ubisoft released a teaser showing an Assassin in midnight black robes with gold lining, holding a staff with a vulture's head in one hand, and a hidden blade being released in the other, to the sound of thunder. The tagline is 'Oppression Has To End' and seems to hint at another revolution style event like in Unity and ACIII. Fans before have indicated that black and gold surroundings in the Animus suggest Abstergo as the culprit, whereas lighter colours usually indicate the Assassin Order's official Animus, from what we can tell, Assassin's Creed Victory will have us again as an Abstergo employee, but only time will tell further details. Going to the official website reveals a gold brass knuckle with the Assassin order logo and the sounds of a pub active and about. The brass knuckle has the phrase 'Strength Through Loyalty' written on it, and opening the video in another tab shows the rest of the writings on the wooden pallet, such as 'God Save The Queen', which is ironic since today is Election Day in Britain. UPDATE 1: According to Kotaku, the game is now called Assassin's Creed Syndicate, until proven however, we're sticking with VIctory. View attachment: AC Victory.png I'm very excited for Victory's official reveal, though Assassin's Creed Unity was disappointing, it seems Ubisoft is taking their time with revealing this, which may well be a good thing. I want to hear your thoughts though, where do you want Assassin's Creed to go next? Let me know down below! Thanks for reading! View full article

  3. Do you have a loving wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, or significant other you're spending this Valentine's with? If not, come sit with me and bask in our loneliness and social awkwardness. We can play Jenga, or... Cards Against Humanity... We can read? How about that? Let's read the new Weekly News Wrap-Up edition! View attachment: WNW B MY VALENTINE.png Ubisoft Games Sales Figures Revealed! (GameSpot.com) View attachment: acu.jpg Ubisoft's Holiday Sales figures play an important part in both the future of the company and it's games. This holiday, by the end of December, the total sales for Assassin's Creed Unity and Rogue were at 10 million sold units. In comparison, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag garnered the same numbers within the same amount of time, while Rogue and Unity needed to be combined to reach their predecessor. Far Cry 4 reached about 7 million units, and Watch_Dogs was around 10 million. To compare, the prequel Far Cry 3 is at about 9 million units now, and it released nearly 3 years ago. Just Dance's installment this year launched to around 4 million units and Ubisoft's racing title The Crew was only a measly two million. 2015 will hold a set of sales for games like Assassin's Creed Victory, Tom Clancy's The Division, and Rainbow Six: Siege. Mass Effect 4 Multiplayer Confirmed! (GameInformer.com) View attachment: MEMultiplayer.png In the spirit of Valentine's Day and love, I'm talking about a game series that is universally loved, Mass Effect. Mass Effect 3 was the last installment and also introduced a new mode with mixed reception, a multiplayer mode. It has been confirmed that the mode will appear in the next game releasing in the next few years, as details were shared by Bioware for open job positions. They tweeted an opening for a producer for the game, and looking further confirms that one goal of this producer is to create multiplayer experiences. This is among other responsibilities, but this does confirm suspicion that they will be taking hints from Dragon Age: Inqusition, one of Bioware's most successful titles, and including multiplayer. Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth DLC Announced! (IGN.com) View attachment: BoI Rebirth Logo.png Last year, the Binding of Isaac, a psychotic journey following the horrors of an abused boy's basement as religious figures fight him, got a reboot for PS4 and PC, called Rebirth, with the confirmation that more content was on the way. It will be released in the middle of 2015 and will include a wealth of new content. It will include a wealth of new bosses, a new main protagonist, and a new alternate chapter finale. If you're a fan of collectibles and challenges, the new DLC will include 100 new items and 10 new challenges. It has been confirmed that this will extend gameplay time up to 200 hours more than vanilla gameplay. Afterbirth will include a new mode and will come with an update for hard mode, but other details were not revealed. In Other News: Battlefield Hardline Beta Reaches 9 Million Players! 5. I apologize for this being in the middle of the week again, but I'm going to be away from Friday morning to Sunday morning, so I'm doing it now. Anyways, I found some really good stories this week so let's get on into it! I'd like to thank Bnus for filling in for me last week, it's appreciated Bnus! Here we go! View attachment: WNW 73114.JPG Watch_Dogs DLC Location hinted at on Twitter Watch_Dogs may be heading to a new location in a DLC releasing this fall, transferring out of Chicago and unto the streets of New Jersey. According to Polygon.com, Watch_Dogs' Twitter stated how Camden, New Jersey had the absolute highest crime rates of any city in the United States and how they (in-game Dedsec organization) would begin monitoring it. A fan soon asked if this was in relation to an add-on, and they responded with a fall release window for something. As for now, it is unknown whether this is DLC, a new game (unlikely), or just a statistic thrown out there completely unrelated to the Fall DLC. View attachment: watch-dogs.jpg What's your take on this, would a DLC in New Jersey be a good idea, or is a different city a better option? Let me know below! Assassin's Creed: Rogue Listed on Swedish Retailer Assassin's Creed Unity is hot on our heels for this fall, but we may have another Assassin's Creed game slipping under the rug. Previously known as Assassin's Creed Comet, IGN.com reports that a Swedish game retailer has listed the last generation exclusive as Assassin's Creed Rogue. It apparently launches October 28th, 2014, the same day as Unity on PS3 and Xbox 360 only. Information is scant, but from rumors, the game will serve as a direct sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and take place in New York. Rumors also say that the main protagonist will be a Templar, an odd move for the series. We still have yet to hear an official confirmation of Assassin's Creed Comet/Rogue's existence, but from the evidence, it seems likely we'll see more of the game soon. View attachment: ACRogue.jpg Would you like to see Rogue this year, or should Ubisoft take some time to develop the game properly and market it well so that it can be a true masterpiece? Debate below! New Bioshock content teased by 2K United Kingdom Those who have anticipated and are waiting for a new Bioshock will be excited to hear this news on the future of the game. Eurogamer.com reports that 2K UK's twitter feed showcased an interesting picture recently, a witty and condescending caption for a picture of a mermaid holding an apple with the words, "Come bite the apple!" on it. Anyone who's ever played the original Bioshock knows what this picture is a reference to, Eve's Garden in the original. Could this possibly mean a new game, or maybe a remaster sometime in the future, as the original Bioshock's 10 year anniversary is only a few years away? I personally cannot wait to see what lies Somewhere Beyond the Sea. View attachment: bigdaddy.jpg What are your hopes for the Bioshock franchise, who do you think should develop it? Discuss! See the pun I made, 'Somewhere Beyond the Sea'? Ha... Ha... Ha yeah it's not too funny. ANYWAYS thanks for reading ladies and gentlemen, it's been a great show tonight, I'll see you all next week on the Weekly News Wrap-Up!

  7. One of this year's hottest hits on the gaming market was Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, a tale of debauchery and death as gamers around the world donned the swords of the infamous Pirate Edward Kenway, but they were soon to discover his secrets and an emotional journey in the seas and shores of the West Indies. Sounds like an interesting plot on paper right? Well, the real question is if Assassin's Creed IV is truly one for the history books it takes after, or just another annual action game that doesn't deserve an ounce of attention. Find out the answer below! View attachment: Review.JPG So, I would like to start off by saying Assassin's Creed IV is visually stunning, from purple-violet skies on the midnight sails through the sea, to shining sunny days spent looting on the game's breathtaking jungles and shores, to even blistering winds and rains as you swing from ship to ship battering your enemies down with sharp quick blades and heavy cannons. You can expect this on both Next Gen and Last Gen, as playing the game on the PS3 only lead to slight graphical issues that were barely noticeable. You'll never be muttering to yourself, "Wow this game looks great for an original Xbox game!" when playing Assassin's Creed IV. The game even manages to keep it's stunning cutscene graphics in-game, as you'll never feel age with the game. View attachment: Assassins-Creed-IV-Black-Flag_2013_07-22-13_002.jpg Next, we look at story. Without spoiling anything, you start out as the Pirate Edward Kenway, and are tossed ashore, where you are pushed into an intriguing plot of twists and turns involving the assassin order, as Edward fights for his own desires, making great friction in the game between him and other Assassins. Through-out the first three quarters of the game, you don't feel at all disappointed, rather, it's quite the immersive and adventurous narrative. The game immediately switches gears in the last act, and it just amps you up as you can't help but give a round of applause to Edward, and as well, it hits an emotional chord that you never expected from a game about betrayal and killing for your own goals. After playing, you sit down, pause for a moment, and ponder as to Edward's origins, and you'll become fixed on Edward's driving points, but the game has one scene that I refuse to spoil, that shows when it immediately brakes and does a right turn, this scene could be watched for hours on end and it's meaning could be wondered for years before we can decipher it fully, it succeeds as one of the most breath-taking events in a game I have seen in a long time. View attachment: ku-xlarge.jpg Now, the actual gameplay. It keeps its familiar button mashing system, a tad disappointing to some, but just the flexibility and pure righteous fun of it kept me playing more. Ship to ship battles are hands down the most fun side activities to do in a game in 2013. Just the thrill of seeing this huge hulk of a man o' war, putting in all of your effort and speed, and taking it down is enough to make this game well worth $60. Money and Crafting play a huge part in upgrades, and you'll spend hours going around collecting items and cash to upgrade your ships, weapons, and character. This can get tedious at times, but it's satisfactory when you finally do it. In the end, the most innovative mechanic added was the whaling system, which I know received quite a bit of fire from PETA, though I think this is hilarious fun to fool around with. The biggest slap in the face the game has to offer is in it's ridiculously downgraded hunting, where it seems as though they just didn't have the time to bring back or improve upon the old system, as this was likely left until the last minute, and forced to be rushed out of the door by Ubisoft's publishing team. View attachment: ACIV Multiplayer.jpg Getting past that, we have multiplayer. Now I wasn't a fan of Assassin's Creed II's multiplayer, and Assassin's Creed IV follows the same system, so it's a mixed bag for me. I give them massive credit for adding the ability to make modes, and for having a polished multiplayer though. It feels very bland and uninteresting, nothing is driving you to keep playing. There's no real fun communication and large scale actual fighting, which doesn't at all fit Black Flag's massive battle system in the single player, though it does go along with the lines of traditional Assassination, so I give it credit there. Multiplayer needs to have more of a replay value, otherwise it is going to continue downgrading the games. So wrapping it up, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is an incredible game, with a few flaws, but it's overall value far exceeds that of most $60 titles in 2013. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag earns an: 8/10 Expect more reviews in the upcoming future, until then, thanks for reading and leave your thoughts on the game below! View full article

  10. It Is official all you Assassins Creed fanatics! After the images leaked on the internet of a potential gameplay alpha, UbiSoft has decided to confirm all the speculation and rumors surrounding their next game. So here it is! The Assassins Creed Unity trailer was just released just a few minutes ago via the Assassins Creed Facebook page:
  11. The next title, set in 18th century Paris, Assassin's Creed: Unity, has been leaked to the public. In a large time jump for the series, Assassin's Creed V appears to have been leaked on Kotaku.com. The images show off 18th Century Paris and a wide array of Victorian terrain. The title has been code-named Assassin's Creed: Unity according to one of the leaked title images. Also according to the Kotaku writer, this is the Next Generation game, and there is another, codenamed Comet, coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3. Not forcing the Ubisoft team to work on both Next Gen and Current Gen with the same game, Unity will be designed to look and feel a lot smoother. View attachment: AC Unity.png All screenshots are available in the link above, so with that, do you think that the setting will make the game more interesting, or without a ship to sail do you believe the game might fall flat?

  13. I don't know about you guys but I saw some awesome things that I really liked about Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag at E3. I'm a big fan of Assassin's Creed since the first one and I just got back into AC3. I came across some multiplayer footage from IGN just today and I gotta say it looks great. New game modes, maps, graphics of course, theme. The whole pirate thing is pretty badass. Here's the video by IGN that shows off the Multiplayer. It's got some funky music but don't be repelled by that please just stick it through and watch the video haha. Although those of you who've read my "Dedicated Members" thread are already aware that I have a new youtube channel, I just thought that I would start an independant thread to announce it to the rest of the forum. So, after a decent amount of hard work, my new youtube channel (which I am doing with some friends) has just passed its first week of posting on Thursday. In that time we have managed to do a full re-cap of all of our Halo Reach Forge Maps, and even slipped in an introduction and a machinima. This post is just to give you guys an idea of what there is to come on the channel. First of all, we will have a new set of hosts joining us soon, which will also bring a wider array of games into the equation For example, here's a list of a few games you can expect to see featured on the channel soon enough (keep in mind, these are not the only ones, there will be more added later): -Assassin's Creed 3 -Halo 4 -Minecraft -GTA 5 -Watchdogs (probably) -and more... All in all, we were just really hoping that we might attract a bit of attention by posting this thread here. The channel is called (youtube.com/OnlineKnights) and it is strictly a gaming channel which will be featuring a ton of cool content. We hope that you will please check us out and subscribe to the channel, if you like it. We understand that the beginning of a Channel is its most important point, so please, if you think we deserve it, support us by subscribing to keep up with all of our new content. Anyways, here are a few videos that we've posted, be sure to check out the channel link for more! 18. This is a sneak peek of my PB map.
  19. Hey everybody, I'm Robius5991 and I am still kind-of new to the forums. I just thought that it'd be cool to start a small thread for people to discuss the upcoming release of Assassin's Creed 3. Although I am a big fan of the Halo franchise, my favourite Video Game Series will always be, without a question, Assassin's Creed. So, as I've said, I really wanted to know what people had in mind conerning the game. Here a few questions that I'd like any other like-minded fan to consider. -What do you think of the new setting? -What are your impression on the new hero, Connor Kenway? -What aspects of the game are you most excited for? -Have you been following the videos informing us of new things to expect in the game? -Which achievements are you most excited for? -Will you be playing mainly for campaign or multiplayer? So pretty much, I'd just like to get a feel for what every other Assassin's Creed fan is thinking of for this game. I am, myself, extremely excited for the game and can't wait for the upcoming release (nearly just 1 month left). Oh, and another question could be, have you done any Halo projects related to the Assassin's Creed franchise? As many of you know, THFE did their Purple Bunker contest, which at the time of this post has yet to finish, and so I decided to participe with Assassin's Creed as my theme. If anyone is interested in checking out my submission, here is the thread that gives you some great pictures and a lengthy description of my map: [PB] Assassin's Creed Anyways, I look forward to hearing from my fellow Assassin's Creed fans! Remember, as the Assassins say: Nothing is true... Everything is permitted!
