  1. If you're a fan of Assassin's Creed and want more content in Unity, I have good news as the Unity DLC 'Dead Kings' will be available for free when it releases! It's no doubt in anyone's mind that Assassin's Creed Unity launched with a host of bugs and glitches, some game breaking, and in an unfinished state, however, due to the overall poor launch quality, Ubisoft is doing something quite honourable. On the Ubi.com website for the game, in a live update journal the company revealed that the previously paid DLC Dead Kings will be 100% free for all when it launches. This is to show their remorse to the players for a poor launch. As well, something especially cool, if you own the Season Pass you get one free Ubisoft title recently, Far Cry 4, AC IV: Black Flag, Watch_Dogs The Crew, or Just Dance 2015. Unfortunately, the Season Pass is no longer available to purchase due to the fact that this is a recompense for those who already had it. But, all in all, Ubisoft is trying to get back into people's good graces after Unity caused their stock to drop, and learning from their mistakes. View attachment: ACDeadKingsandChinaChron.jpg Is this a good way to reimburse players who experienced glitches in their game? Tell me about your opinion below! Thanks a lot for reading, catch you all later, and have a happy Thanksgiving! Speaking of thanks, thanks to Halo5 follower for linking this to me as I was in the middle of writing it. 3. Microsoft and Ubisoft have teamed up to create an awesome Xbox One bundle releasing this fall! So if you've been looking for a great deal on an Xbox One and want two awesome games inside, I've got the perfect new bundle for all your needs. IGN.com reported on the new Assassin's Creed bundle for Xbox One, which will include two hit AC games. Assassin's Creed Unity and (strangely enough) Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be included in the package. Just for your information, both games will be downloadable codes rather than physical copies. Alongside the two games is your typical Xbox One with your usual controller and headset package. There will be two versions of this bundle, one for $400 without the kinect sensor, and for $500 with the sensor and Dance Central Spotlight included. The bundle will release on November 2nd, 2014 but Unity won't be playable until it's street date release on the 11th. 5. The hit title Assassin's Creed Unity marketed to release October 28th is now releasing 2 weeks later on November 11th, the same day as it's counterpart on previous generation Assassin's Creed Rogue, another Ubisoft title The Crew, and the largely anticipated Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It's no secret that companies like to compete, especially in the gaming world, and that's why the news about Assassin's Creed Unity's delay sort of makes sense. IGN.com reports that Ubisoft announced the delay today, slating the release for November 11th, 2014. The same day as Assassin's Creed Rogue and The Crew, and some time near Far Cry 4. While it could be understood that Ubisoft would set the date to compete with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, it makes little sense to compete with other games under your belt, two of them releasing on the same day. As well the game now has a Day One patch, what the patch is for is currently unknown. The dates for AC Unity and AC Rogue are also aligning in Europe and other countries where the releases usually happen later, as both games are now slated to release on the 13th. View attachment: Assassins-Creed-Unity-assassination.jpg What do you think of this news, are you disappointed Unity is coming later? Let me know below! Thank you very much for reading!

  7. The upcoming Ubisoft current generation only title, Assassin's Creed Unity, has been confirmed to have microtransactions implemented into the game. Most of the gaming community considers microtransactions (purchasable items that allow the player to pay real money to get ahead instead of earning the items) a blight to video games, but most companies seem to be hopping unto the microtransaction bandwagon. IGN.com reports the next of these is Ubisoft with their next game, Assassin's Creed Unity. Ubisoft has confirmed the game will feature microtransactions at launch allowing players to buy items like gear, weapons, and supplies that normal players would have to work for by playing the game to unlock. Senior Producer Vincent (Not me) Pontibrand spoke about the idea to TotalXbox.com at Gamescom this year, saying, "If we think it fits the gameplay, or the brand itself, the core values, we're willing to take those risks. If not, then not. We're not going to make any compromises." Ubisoft has however said that they will not go over-board with the microtransaction items available, stating that it needs to fit the core experience. More information on microtransactions in-game will be available at a later date Ubisoft said, which means we can probably expect more info next month, as the game launches this October. View attachment: Assassin_s_Creed_Unity_64633.jpg It's not like microtransactions are new to Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed IV had items that you could unlock by either hunting on The Jackdaw (your ship) or purchasing, each around the $1 mark, so not too expensive. What do you think of this news, has it swayed your decision to buy Unity? Discuss it below! Thank you very much for reading!
