  1. Hey I'm new to the four so I don't know how things work but I was hoping to see if there was a community member that would be kind enough to give me their armor code for the fotus armor. I know that are some people that don't like it and I was hoping to see if we could work out a trade. Ps. On a side note how many people are like me that if you know that a item like armor exists then you have to have it because you know it is obtainable and that missing spot on the minute drives you crazy?
  2. SO, I would hope that 343 reads this before Halo 4 is released. I had an idea that, instead of making it harder to level up after each level, why not make all the levels even so that you can look forward to regular levels up. Players could make a schedule (if they so wished) and know how many matches they should play each day/week so that they level up. I believe that 343 is taking too much from CoD. Their levelling up gets harder because the player gets better guns each level, we get armour and (eventually) mods. SO, in conclusion, they could just quickly add up the total amount of points needed to complete the 50 levels, divide it equally by 50, and be done with it (They could even make this change optional so that you can decide each time you start the 50 levels again which way you want to go).
  3. Yes, I already know a hundred threads have been made for listing Halo 4 pre-order unlocks, but few (not even from THIS forum!) would tell me what stores offered what unlocks, or the price of their pre-order. I'll do my best to match unlocks with stores and provide images, etc. etc. If you know of another store offering a pre-order package or want to correct me (which I often need to be), just PM me, I usually check the forums daily. By the way, I will only provide inks to images to preserve forum space and retain fair load time for my crappy satellite internet service :wallbash: First, I would like to dish out the store offering the most add-ons, but at the largest price tag - MightyApe. This New Zealand distributor is offering the largest amount pre-order extras, shown HERE, including Raptor and Pulse armor skins, the flippin' awesome Locus helmet (exclusive to MightyApe), and two emblems. This may appear to be the best deal, but if you ain't in New Zealand for the release, you're paying almost $20 for ground rate shipping. It's a little ridiculous, but if it's any consolation, I pre-ordered here, too. The price may drop, and I hope like hell it does. BTW, $130NZD ~ $100USD, so the price isn't actually $30 more. Halo 4 Standard - $88.49NZD + $16.00 shipping Halo 4 Limited Edition - $129.99NZD + $16.00 shipping Probably the most popular Halo 4 pre-orderers (if that is a word) are GameStop & EB Games. Available with both packages is the Gamestop/EB Games exclusive Forest skin, shown HERE. Because GameStop and EB are pretty much the exact same store, you're getting the exact same thing. Rumor has it that EB Games is also offering the Arctic weapon skin in Canada. I believe both stores offer free ground shipping and expensive release date shipping (feel free to correct me), but you can have shipped to a nearby store for free or pre-order at the store. Halo 4 Standard - $59.99 Halo 4 Limited Edition - $99.99 Another great store for pre-ordering any game online is Amazon. Amazon's offer is the interesting Web armor skin, shown HERE. Amazon is also a seller for multiple online stores if you want to look into who's all selling Halo 4 on their store. I know Amazon offers free ground shipping but I do not know their fastest shipping speed or the price of that speed at the moment. Amazon would be my personal alternative to MightyApe. Halo 4 Standard & LE - $59.99 & $99.99 Like MightyApe, Best Buy is offering the Dead Space-esque Raptor armor skin, shown HERE. Best Buy offers free ground shipping for those who pre-ordered online, they can ship it to a local store for free, and you can pre-order it at the store itself with a down payment. Also, pre-ordering here gets you 15% off a game guide if you want one. Halo 4 Standard - $59.99 Halo 4 Limited Edition - $99.99 Walmart is currently offering the Circuit armor skin, shown HERE. The skin kind of reminds me of Tron with a Big Daddy helmet, but overall, not that interesting to me. For those readers in the UK interested in this skin, it can be purchased from Gamestation as well. Walmart offers free ground shipping. Halo 4 Standard - $59.96 Halo 4 Imited Edition - $99.96 Britain's Buy.com, called Play.com, is the only seller of the Dead-Eye helmet skin (HERE), but being an American, this package is not worth the trouble of purchasing from Play. Besides, rockin' this would just put a big bull's eye right on my head, which isn't for me. Regardless of my opinion, Play only ships within the UK and offers free ground shipping. Halo 4 Standard - £44.99 Halo 4 Limited Edition - £69.99 Also available in the UK is the Oceanic armor and a weapon skin pack from Game.co.uk. I'm afraid their website does not denote exactly which weapon skin come with the preorder set, based on the image I can speculate that one of the skins is the Arctic weapon skin that GameStop and EBGames also offered. Game also offers a good price for UK gamers and it ships free anywhere in the UK. Halo 4 Standard - £39.99 Halo 4 Limited Edition - £64.99 Another skin I liked and is already available with the MightyApe package is the Pulse armor skin, shown HERE. The store offering this skin exclusively is Microsoft's game store (also available via xbox.com). Microsoft offers a good deal because they ground ship for free and toss in $25 discount on your next Microsoft store purchase. However, so far the $25 discount card is not available to the Limited Editiion copy, though that may change in the near future. Nevertheless, still a pretty good deal. Halo 4 Standard - $59.99 Halo 4 Limited Edition - $99.99 If you are looking to stay cheap for this release and don't give a rat's cerebral cortex (keepin' it clean) about exclusive armor skins, Buy.com has the best price for Halo 4 I've seen on the internet so far and ships very cheaply. Halo 4 Standard - $54.99 + $5.18 ground shipping Halo 4 Limited Edition - $73.99 + $5.18 ground shipping I hope you guys find the skin that's right for you, feel free to correct me or suggest another store I can add to the list via PM, and thanks for reading!
  4. Color Selection: Ability to Color different areas of the armor. _________________________________ Helmet -Primary -Secondary R Shoulder -Primary -Secondary L Shoulder -Primary -Secondary Chest -Primary -Secondary Visor -Color ExoSkeleton -Color/ Tone
  5. Weapons: I was thinking maybe a return of the Halo 3 arsenal, of course, because this game will take place right after Halo 3 so let's not stray too far away from Halo 3 stuff. Also, since Master Chief's story resumes on a Forerunner planet, add some Forerunner weapons. What ever they can think of for that kind of stuff could be cool. And if the Covenant make an arrival in this game, of course, have the Covenant weapons. Any new additions to any of these arsenals will be great. *Edit* Also, it'd be cool if there would be 2 different variants of certain guns. For example, we could have the regular SMG and Pistol, and then we could have the silenced SMG and Pistol from ODST. More vast arsenal = so many options Armor: I was hearing stuff about a MKVII armor piece. I think that'd be pretty cool. Playing in that armor in the campaign would be awesome, but I'd think you should start off with the MKVI armor from Halo 3 because, like I said about weapons, I don't want the game to stray too far away from Halo 3. As for other armor for Multiplayer, 343 can add stuff like fan favs, maybe some originals, and some other stuff they can make up. Oh yeah, and some common sense: ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMIZED ARMOR IN THE CAMPAIGN! Don't make the multiplayer look change the Master Chief look in the campaign. *Edit* Also, for armor customization, since there's the idea for the other gametypes, you can customize not only Spartans and Elites, but you can customize the way your ODST looks in the ODST gametypes. It'd add so much more variety for appearances. Gametypes: The usual Slayer and all those other original Halo gametypes will be great. I'd like to see Invasion come back. It was my favorite gametype in Reach and I think it was super fun. Also, this guy (can't remember his name, thanks for your idea) made up the idea of an ODST gametype. I'd love that. It'd be cool if they make it where you spawn in drop pods at the very beginning and when you land, it's just normal slayer or whatever it is you're playing just playing as ODSTs for a change. And if they can add Covenant (if they make an appearance) and Forerunner gametypes that'd be awesome too. *Edit* Another cool thing I just thought of is that we'd have the normal gametypes (you'd click on Competitive: Spartans) and then ODST gametypes (Competitive: ODSTs). Same thing for Cooperative and anything else they think of. It'll add a lot more variety. Other stuff (wants and stuff I don't want): I don't want Halo 4 to be like Reach. No bloom and no armor abilities! Well, I had no problem with sprint and jetpack (I guess the jetpack can make an appearance because of the teaser trailer), but stuff like armor lock and active camo whenever you want needs to go. And we need to get rid of the Halo Reach ranking system. Go back to Halo 3 or something similar, but NONE of the Reach ranking bull crap. They can still have the cR, but make the cR separate from Exp (another idea of forum user, thanks). cR can buy armor customizations and Exp actually rank you up. *Edit* Maybe they can bring back some stuff from Reach, like the different options with armor customization (and maybe even add more) and some of the gametypes. That's all I can think of at the moment. Let me know about the ideas, if you like them or not. If you can add anything, I'll be glad to see what you guys would like. I'll update the post for other ideas I think of. Thanks.
  6. Alot of Reach, my characters armor will lag out, and I will be set to the defualt spartan (all grey, defualt armor, septagon emblem, no service tag) and when it does that, I can't earn credits and sometimes the Reach servers will be unavialable. PLEASE HELP!
  7. So, I, like many others, aren't that big a fan of the armor abilities in Halo Reach. But I'm also pretty sure that no amount of whining will get them removed from Halo 4, or even if that would be for the better. What I am saying, is that I could accept armor abilities, and maybe even grow to like them, if they take more of a back seat in Halo 4, sort of like the equipment in Halo 3, only a little better integrated. Evade, and most of all, sprint, were welcome additions, and I'm pleased to hear that sprint is now a standard ability. It was one of the few things CoD had, that Halo needed. Gameplay-wise, armor lock, and especially jetpack, are pains. The invisibility one is a little annoying, but it don't bother me much. But those are not the biggest problems, as far as I'm concerned. What annoys me the most in Halo Reach multiplayer, are the maps, and how they are designed. They aren't bad, most are pretty decent, but they are all very much designed to make the armor abilities central, most noticeably the jetpack. Pretty much every small-to-mid-sized map in Halo Reach is full of levels and lines-of-sight were you can shoot, but not travel directly between. That is, unless you have one of those cursed jetpacks. (Uncaged, I'm looking at you!) I see many possibilities for integrating armor abilities in awesome custom games and special gametypes, I just can't possibly imagine it to be for the best to have all of them available in standard playlists like Team Slayer, Arena and Team Doubles. At least not in the state that they are today. So, these are my two cents on armor abilities, hope I don't appear as yet another whiner, but I really believe we can have our cake and eat it too! Please don not the armor abilities as central as they are in Reach now, especially the jetpack.
  8. Now we all have at one time another raged over another player over using an armor abilities at some point or another. I personally hate how armor lock is so easily exploited, being able to enter and exit quickly, on top of that it just slows the game down a bunch of guy huddled around someone who is we all know is doomed, and I know I'm not alone and for this I've come up with a simple solution and that being that the Plasma Pistol E,M.P blast to disable most of the Armor Abilities, (Almost being all but sprint and evade). Really this would only effect Jetpack and Armor Lock, but come on who wouldn't want to see that guy with the rockets and the Jetpack get emp and fail out of the sky. It would also make Elite Slayer a bit more interesting being, in my experience, only amounting to throwing a sticky and going into armor lock. It's also worth mentioning that this change would make Armor Abilities pointless as unless you're playing the aforementioned Elite Slayer plasma pistols are often scattered around the map already adding a short of balance if this change is implemented.
  9. Since 343i have full control over Halo and something lingering in my head since Bungie Day 2010... Do you think that 343i should give the flaming armor to the Halo 3 players and permenately!? :spiteful:
  10. ADD: 1. The Minor Armor customization (preferably more than what Reach had) and armor color: Primary, Secondary AND armor detail Bright, Very visual lighting like in Halo 3 Equipment, they were much more balanced than armor abilities Halo 3 grenades, the ones in Reach were way too powerful New vehicles, a flyable Pelican or other new vehicles would be cool Some of the old Halo 3 Maps like Guardian, The Pitt, and Valhalla 2. The Major More customs games like in Halo 3, customs were what kept Halo 3 great for such a long time Forge, bring back the forge heavens that were Foundry and Sandbox, and I would like to see decorative objects like in H3 and not just structural Firefight, gameplay and maps like in ODST, custom options like in Reach IMPORTANT: The music chanting in Halo 2, H2 music captivating and perfectly conveyed the epic struggle over Halo. I remember the first Halo I ever played (Halo 2) At the main menu listening this track play () I didn't even need to play, I knew this was going to be something great Multiplayer just like Halo 3, not the randomness of Reach DON'T ADD: Any armor abilities EXCEPT sprint Reticle bloom The DMR (the new BR is all we need) Health
  11. I think it would be nice if 343i added a color wheel to halo 4 instead of just a few colors to choose from, like to be able to choose from a bunch of shades of blue, instead of just 3 shades, like in Halo:Reach, and to have a color wheel for the visor, instead of a few colors like in Reach. And the color wheel should apply for every single part of your armor, like feet armor color, calf armor color, knee gaurd color, thigh armor color, chest and back armor color, shoulder pad armor color, arm armor color, helmet color, and visor color, and color options such as Pearl, Metallic, Sparkle, Gloss, Matte, stuff like that.
  12. Loosely based off this post: http://www.343indust...pular-spartans/ Decided to start a thread based of the thread link above, but instead of the original Halo universe characters, I want it to showcase any custom made Armour for the Spartan or Elite from both Halo 3 and Halo Reach, weither it be your armour layout you use for Matchmaking/Custom Multiplayer or just a fan made character you made up for a story or Role Play Just show it off either with the list set up or pictures (or both. We're that simple) ***ALSO: THERE IS TO BE NO STEALING PEOPLES LAYOUTS, PLAY NICE AND RESPECT THEIR LAYOUTS OR THERE WILL BE TROUBLE*** My Halo 3/reach Layouts Halo 3 Spartan HELMET: MK VI CHEST: CQB SHOULDER: Security Halo 3 Elite HELMET: Combat CHEST: Flight SHOULDERS: Commando Halo Reach Spartan HELMET: MJOLNIR MK VI (Attachments: HU/RS/CNM) LEFT SHOULDER: Grenadier RIGHT SHOULDER: Grenadier CHEST: Assault/Commando WRIST: Tactical/Tacpad UTILITY: Tactical/Soft Case VISOR COLOUR: Silver KNEE GUARDS: Gungnir Halo Reach Elite Class: Field Marshall ----------- Thats mine, Everyone show off yours
  13. I personally wouldn't mind some armor abilities, but armor lock needs to be kept out of the game. It would be great to see some fresh new ones like barrel rolling off of the side of a platform to shake your pursuer. That's just my one idea, put yours down below.
  14. Here are my thoughts on Halo 4. Alright, lets Begin! Weapons: The weapons I think are returning are the Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, Sniper, Pistol, and Rocket Launcher. Why? Well because those have been some of the Main Weapons in all Halo's. If not them, then probably different versions of them. Also, I'm not to sure for Covenant Weapons, because we are done with them right? Maybe the Elites will become Allies though, therefore returning some Covenant weapons. I do NOT think Bloom, Armor Abilities or any Reach weapons will make a return, since their not in canon with Halo 4. And well, they suck... They might be for certain playlist's or Custom Games though. What I'm trying to say is that since we've had 3 games set after Reach, it wouldn't make sense for things that only appeared in Halo: Reach, to be in Halo 4. Because you then have to wonder, why the didn't appear in any of the games after Reach. Vehicles: I think the Mongoose, Warthog (confirmed), Tank, and the Hornet will make a return. Along with other vehicles like the Pelicans. And maybe the Elephant for Multiplayer? Armor: Some of the Halo 3 "Fan-Favorite" Armor like Recon and Hayabusa will make a return, and the rest will probably be new ones 343 have made.. Also, this gets me thinking... If were done with the Covenant, then does that mean no more Elite Armor? Not too sure.. They'll probably be back somehow. Probably as Allies. Forge: Forge I think, is going to be flat-out AWESOME! I personally think theres going to be new tools like the rumored "Glue", "Copy and Paste", and "Undo" option. And stuff like Weather/Terrain Control, Environment Editing (Trees, rocks), Drop-Pods, Sliding Doors. And maybe even stuff like broken Vehicles and Blood Stains for Machinimas or Realism. Copy and Paste: Instead of re-creating a piece. Just copy it and place it somewhere else on the map. Undo: Lets you undo any mistakes like accidently deleting stuff on accident. Glue: If you need to, instead of having to move a creation piece by piece somewhere else. Just select the glue option to make it all one option. Flood Fight/FireFight: I think there should be a new version of FireFight called Flood Fight. Where you square off in survival against waves of Flood. Kind of like Halo: CEA'S Mission: The Library. It could also maybe become a New Infection Gametype, where players square off 8v8. One team are players who spawn as Flood Forms who try to Infect you. While the other team are players who spawn as Spartans trying to Survive until the Round is Over. I did not come up with this idea, but have revised and wrote the way I think it should be. As for Good ol' Firefight. I think they just need to Re-Vamp or make it a little more like Halo 3: ODST. Matchmaking: Matchmaking is probably going to stay close to how it usually is, maybe some new Game Modes. But I would really just want it to go back to the style of Halo 1, 2, and 3. And have the Ranking System go Back to Halo 2 and 3. It was Legit. And if Elites are back, then I want them and the Spartans to be equal's again like Halo 3. Also, not a Kill-Cam like in Call of Duty, But at the end of each game. A video pops up showing the Game Winning Kill. What do you think? Also, an idea of mine, is to make a new Playlist called "ODST". Where it is basically the same as regular matchmaking, but everyone are ODST's. The health system would be based off the game Halo: 3 ODST. And maybe when the Game starts, You and your team spawn in Drop-Pods. I think that would be pretty epic. Here are some Game-Types I came up with: ODST Team Slayer - 4v4 Slayer ODST Rumble Pit - Free for All ODST CTF - 4v4 Capture the Flag ODST FireFight - Classic Firefight ODST Swat - 4v4 Team Swat with the Killer ODST Magnum It seems like it would create and attract a New Halo Fan-Base. And suit some of the Halo Universe who love the playing style of Halo 3: ODST, more than regular Halo. It would also be nice to try something new. And just so we're all clear, I don't mean the whole matchmaking. But just a small playlist to play this in. I just think this would bring in a whole new fan-base and group of players. It would create a whole new community, and you could play something a little different if you ever got bored of playing as a spartan in Multi-Player. Well thats all I got now, tell me what you think... UPDATE: If your going to vote, vote here and also here: Click
  15. In Halo:Reach, everyone knows you could largely customize your spartan to look like almost anything you want. But your elite's appearance was limited to a few selections and weren't satisfying. In Halo 3 you could customize your elite as much as you could your spartan. Of course, who knows if you'll even be able to play as the elites online? But if possible it'd be nice to customize your elite with the ultimate armor perhaps being Arbiter's?
  16. Hey guys, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's been a huge fan of the badass Halo 3 Master Chief. That's why I was so immensely dissapointed when I saw Master Chief's new look in both the trailer and in the new Halo 4 poster (http://www.tldrgamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/Halo4Poster.jpg). There is absolutely no reason his armor needs to be so dramatically different. His armor looks much too bulky compared to before. Please 343, this is the only thing I will ask of you: bring back Chief's armor from Halo 3.
