343 Industries and IGN have shown off the introductory cut-scene to Halo 2 Anniversary as part of their IGN First program! Halo: The Master Chief Collection is in it's final days of processing and is nearly ready to reach our fingertips, but until then I have more footage to entice you. A channel on thankfully reuploaded the footage from a stream showing off the cinematic opening to Halo 2: Anniversary, redone with stunning visuals from Blur Studios. The opening is for the mission Outskirts and the full mission was shown off on the aforementioned stream, which I cannot get a hold of unfortunately. The video features the infamous Scarab in it's Halo 2 garb, New Mombasa, Sergeant Johnson, and the Spartan himself, The Master Chief, all in gloriously redone visual style. According to Gamespot, Microsoft posted a slew of Screenshots & Game Art from Halo: Spartan Strike today: following the initial Spartan Strike announcement a day or so ago. Adam91 made the post concerning the initial announcement yesterday: http://343i.org/2fx Gamespot says that Microsoft "boasts" that Spartan Strike will feature "unparalleled visuals" for a mobile game. Concerning the screenshots and images it would seem that claim could be true: Spartan Strike Game Art, and Screenshots: On a side note, the original gameplay video had 343 producer Fred LaPorte giving a basic walkthrough of the game with Ryan McCaffrey of IGN. LaPorte went on to give a brief synopsis of the game. Today, Microsoft also chimed in to give some details: [spoilerS AHEAD] Halo: Spartan Strike releases on December 12, 2014, at the price of $6, for Windows platforms: like desktop, Surface tablets, and Windows Phones. The game is also coming to Steam, and supports USB Xbox controllers. Spartan Strike players can also unlock achievements in-game to earn an exclusive emblem, nameplate, and avatar for Halo: The Master Chief Collection: similar to how Spartan Assault had ties with Halo 4. Some of you may have seen my "Halo did you knows" thread, so you already know what's up. For those of you who haven't, it works like this. If you know a bit of trivia, post it like "Did you know that ...." The trivia can be anything related to the 343i site. Firsts, lasts, biggests, smallests. It can range from anything about members to threads. This should be fun for the members who've been here a long time, and interesting for those who are newer. A for instance would be: Did you know that the first status update on this site was made by a member named the Arby? Another for instance is: Did you know the first comment on a status update was by Hero, and said "Thats becouse you are one." Anyways, you get the idea. Have fun finding trivia on 343i

So since the days following release, many members have discussed with me the possibility of creating an official un-official community squad for Star Wars: Commander. So I've created: 343iCommunity If you'd like to join simply request it, and be sure to comment your username below so that we can verify your membership. The rules for the squad will be similar to that of the Forum. No swearing No racial or ethnic slurs Do not flame other members No linking to images, videos, or websites containing nudity, discrimination, or swear words The most important rule however is to have fun. We want you to join the squad and we'd like to keep it enjoyable for everyone which is the reason these rules will remain in effect. Also, Arno Dorian has created an imperial squad known as the 343rd_corps. I believe his will be acting as a squad for the empire and mine will be acting as the Rebellion.
