  1. Enjoy my first halo montage, been playing on/off since it came out. Please let me know what you think? Subscribe if you enjoy. https://youtu.be/mkspr0dpWOY?si=NqELu_C6Y6S9Vis8
  2. It’d be great if I would quit getting banned for the being booted out of games. Its not even ranked, but still it’s not like I’m backing out. The game drops me.
  3. Hello there, Where can I buy Halo Reach for PC, please? Have a good day!
  4. What do you predict Halo will be like in the near future? Curiosity poll, feel free to explain your choice below as well.
  5. i'm not sure if this'll really fit here, but I've been looking everywhere to get this fixed, between the XboxSupport Twitter, and the Online chat with a help member, i was told to make a forum post about this, so here I am. ISSUE: i bought the Halo 5 Memories of reach REQ pack, then suddenly my game had crashed(not even joking). The purchase was made, the $15 was deducted, and the REQ pack was nowhere to be seen, I've checked the unlocked items and I've had no results there as well. i'm just hoping that this can be fixed and that i'll get the REQ pack that i bought. Once again, sorry if this is in the wrong topic, but i was told to post in these forums, so here I am, have a good day everyone! Forgot to mention, my Xbox live Gamertag is Bulletdestr0yer, just in case someone from 343 actually checks this
  6. I'm starting this topic for two reasons; Know however, I am new to 343industries.org and thus their forums but have been playing Halo since CE. REASON ONE: PROGRAMMERS-- Whats with the "pathing" in the game? Go play Slayer on Halo 5 and eventually you will notice you shot that enemy EIGHT times in the head with a BR and yet YOU died when they missed you. Or the new Warzone Requisition Issue. I joined multiple games and at level 9 I am "Retrieving Data" for my Reqs, but never get them. These are not the first these issues are mentioned but I want to bring them together. The same pathing issues can be seen in Halo 3 on the MC Edition. Watch Youtube, the videos are everywhere. But I never saw these issues on Halo 3 before, what did they do, re-write the programming for the game? I'm no programmer and won't pretend to be, but I don't see how so many issues in game can be attributed to anything other than the programming, which leads us back to the where the problem starts, 343. REASON TWO: SERVERS-- XBox Live and Microsoft are not to blame for the issues had with Connection and Lag while playing Halo. I'm sure that much is known. It's all 343 Studios. Being said, is it cost cutting that they go with cheap servers, or don't run enough, or don't have the manning to cover them? I don't work there, but its plain to see 343 can't run things right when it comes to servers. The Banhammer alone has issues with it. People who SHOULD get kicked don't and yet if a 343 server has an issue and kicks you off you get Banned. Or watching and enemy Lag across the screen whiole shooting you but you can't shoot them. Rarely have I seen a lagging player BEAT and non lagger. Thats curious in and of itself, but it happens all the time. Conclusion: I'm not a programmer and I'm not a Tech Freak, however I believe its a simple deduction that can be made for what Halo is having issues with. Its 343 Studios. Now, are they inept? Perhaps not, SOME of the ideas they have are pretty cool! I think the problem lies in simply put; MONEY. They are lining their pockets with royalties while putting out a Subpar program and server system because they didn't want to PAY for the better programmers and servers. Well that and they pushed the game out too soon. It wasn't ready either, thats obvious. SO, 343 Studios, you have a decent game here. STOP cutting corners and do it right. If not, don't do it at all. Bungie won't come back, but that doesn't mean Microsoft can't find someone better. But your NAME is 343, which means you were likely Fans to begin with. For anyone that didn't grow up on Halo, 343 is from 343 Guilty Spark in Halo CE and Halo 2. Fix the issues, put the money into the game that it deserves. You picked up a Legacy game and there are fans from its creation that still play. Why disappoint them like this? Do you not even care cause we gave you the money when we bought it? If thats the case, you are whats wrong with the world today. If not, then put that money where it belongs put some PRIDE into your work. Damn Cheapskates.
  7. At the end of my greatest warzone game ever. The game threw me into some lobby then it spazzed out. I obtained no xp, no rewards to commendations I know I completed, and no req points. Worst of all I lost the cinema clip to the game. A 700-100 comeback and win. I am wondering if there is a way to access the game and obtain the rewards I earned.
  8. I bought the war zone bundle and it says it comes with 14 req packs. It finished downloading and I went to my req packs and there were only 2 there, not 14. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still nothing there. Someone please help me fix this.
  9. Hello there ladies, welcome to the official weekly site poll #3 hosted by me and Kenway! This is the poll where we ask you about your opinion on (mostly) current events and give you back the most popular opinion the next week. "But guys, you left about a two week gap between this poll and the last. What gives?!" You're right and we sicerely apologize for the delay. Kenway's PC decided to go kaboom and my schedule has just been flooded. But we're here now! Last week we asked you about your thoughts on the REQ packs. Most of you seemed fine with it as long as it is balanced properly. A reply that stood out to me was made by Bnus who focussed more on the gameplay aspect of the matter. Thank you all for your responses! Now let's talk about this weeks topic. Which is We've finally got a bit of information about Forge in Halo 5 and so I want to know what you're hopes and dreams are as well as your biggest fear. And how do you all feel about Forge coming in 2 months later instead of at launch? Let us know down below! Thank you all for reading! ~UP & EK
  10. It seems 343 is moving on again. Small groups of people at 343 have already started the creative process, and even a few lines. "We do kind of know what’s going to happen in the next game pretty well at this point," explains franchise development director Frank O’Connor. "We’re doing serious real planning and even some writing on the next game already, and that’s a luxury – we’ve never been in that position before. So we both know at a very high level what’s going to happen in, say, ten years from now. But at that very granular level knowing what’s going to happen in the next game and that’s just been a great feeling for me." As it appears, Bonnie is mobilizing Frank O'Connor and a few teams to "really lay the fictional foundation for the next 20 years." Bonnie also points out that several ideas playing a part in Halo 6 are already layed out. Stating they had to know where they were going by the end of Halo 4. Frank O'Connor has displayed caution, however in this, saying that starting too soon and too fast could change Halo's world and change plans. Frankie says: " ... [if] you start making those stepping stones too rigid, then you’re not being realistic about the game development process. That process could change the story but we know what’s going to happen in the next game, and we kind of know what’s going to happen to the Master Chief ultimately. " Halo 5 is finished. Halo 6 is (probably has been) in development! source: http://343i.org/36m
  11. Let’s suppose you have a favorite cuisine, as I am sure you, as most people, do. You go to other restaurants and try other types, Italian, Chinese, French, Cajun, Greek, etc. There’s countlessly many types of cuisines, as there are games. You found your favorite type though, and more importantly, your favorite restaurant that serves that cuisine, your favorite game. You go to that restaurant several times, and are always happy with your purchases. Yet one day there’s a new manager. He promises things will not change, yet your first entrée you order under him, Halo 4, arrives and gives you diarrhea. They have taken your favorite cuisine, let’s say it’s Chinese, and served you curry, expecting you to not know that they literally took your food, your characters, threw them away, brought in everything about curry (call of duty) and slapped on the ‘chinese’ cuisine name. You get diarrhea and vomiting from how terrible that curry is, curry you spent years waiting for and over a $100 on. A few years later you decide you will give it another shot. You spend $60 on one last item of Chinese food from that restaurant. You get food poisoning from that food. To apologize for apparently ‘forgetting’ to notice the maggots, smell, mold, and other total signs that the food was is no way fit for public consumption. They apologize ‘profusely’ for this ‘honest mistake’ and promise you a FREE glass of water (month of Xbox Live) and, if you can afford to wait, an appetizer complimentary onion ring (Halo 3: ODST). That totally makes up for the pain, disappointment, destroyed trust, and all that time and money you spent. But hey, at least you’re ‘1th’ place to them, right? You still have food poisoning from them. That food they served you still has maggots in it, they haven’t finished picking them all out yet, still MANY flaws and gross oversights. But hey, the manager comes and tells you to be excited because in a few months here they’ll have a BRAND NEW ENTRÉE, Halo 5! You should for some reason be excited for that despite the fact they still haven’t fixed your current entrée you spent money on MONTHS ago. Now, if this was a restaurant that just poisoned you and had previously given you diarrhea and vomiting, would you buy from this restaurant again? Would you risk what might happen from eating that new entrée they have coming out? No. No one would. And what, might I ask is the difference between 343i and a restaurant? Both are businesses trying to make money. Both depend on people to keep them in business. Yet, for some reason, the restaurant will probably have a way you can contact them with concerns, but 343i requires going through their mommy, Microsoft Chat, who has promised countless times to ‘leave them a note’ and you still haven’t gotten a response. I have several friends who I used to spend nights on end playing Halo with. Laughing, enjoying the game way past its replay value. Now, all of those friends have moved on, they no longer care for anything about Halo due to what 343i has done, poisoned the trust of their consumers. I now sit at their table, asking why I should continue sitting there for this ‘new cuisine’ when there’s another city, called Play Station, with the same cuisines and only missing this said restaurant, the one where the CEO for some reason can’t demand an answer to the maggots in their consumers food, and where the chef who served that crap is a ghost, one you have no reason to believe even remotely cares about your comments to their food. Just like this restaurant should be shut down for what it’s done to the consumers in poisoning them, so should 343 be shut down for the disgrace they’ve brought upon a name Bunjie spent years building up. I tried contacting you via Microsoft Chat 4-5 times, and posted on your forums around Christmas time (you still haven't responded). It is now 5 months post launch. You still don't have MCC working (your 'ranking coming' soon message is becoming rather tiresome and tedious, but not only that, the ONLY ranking you have is so illogical it's laughable. I went 9 kills and 33 deaths last game. My ranking didn't budge down to what it should be, because, you know, that would be an actual ranking system, file share has been gutted and tossed aside despite how popular it was for years on end, players still lag switch and use modded controllers in matchmade games and you do nothing, teams are ridiculously one-sided and uneven, games constantly fail to load, frame-rates plummet on your maps, players are STILL booted from lobbies after EVERY game, I constantly 'lose connection to host' despite having a 30 mbps download speed and am consequently forced to reload everything, no penalty for players quitting early, these are but a few) and yet you CONTINUE to pump out and advertise your new 'entree' coming out soon when the one you JUST served us still has maggots crawling in it. What are you, as a whole doing? I have invested +$200 into your hands, and you have let me down consecutively. Give me one good reason to invest even one more cent into your pockets, or even one way you plan to right this wrong. One reason is all I ask of you that I shouldn't sell my Xbox right now and move to Play Station, because let me tell you that Halo is the only reason for me being on Xbox, and right now that doesn't look like a very sufficient reason.
  12. Alright, guy's it's been decided. We are making a forum band. So everyone, grab your instrument and get ready to play! I am personally playing the Didgeridoo. How about you?
  13. 343 I would like you to understand your base of players is off of a competitive community! We do not like sprint at all... It makes the game play different we do not need it this is not COD the game does not have 10 second kill times. We are looking at about a 1 minute to 1 and a half kill time.. We don't want a super fast paced game cause halo is not meant to be that way. You need to listen to the pro player cause I guarantee if you put sprint your gonna end up with a bad outcome selling your game! Even enhancing the base speed to compensate for the sprint would be better.
  14. Hello, I'd like to talk about a recent credit ban that I received today. I was playing some Grifball like I've been doing for the passed few days, and in the middle of the game I received a message, saying, "This console has been temporarily banned from earning credits" and another message soon after, "This account has been temporarily banned from earning credits" I have literally no clue as to what I have done wrong, and I need clarification on the subject. I have been playing over and over to get to the rank of Lt. Colonel so I could wear my dream armour set, and this has stopped me (All I needed was a couple more 10,000 credit loads and I would've been there!). Please, I just need an answer, ANY answer. I don't want to wait any longer! I have played and played and I have earned what I've worked for, and this handicapped system has gotten In my way! Ever since I got this XBOX 360 for Christmas, I wanted to get to Lt. Colonel (Like on my old account that I accidentally deleted and cant recover (Crumpet Juice) ) so I could live in my former glory! PLEASE! 343, you are my favourite company and I've loved your games, but this has been taken too far! If I did anything wrong, I'm sorry... So could I please be given an answer?
  15. Just joined the forum to make this post! I'm loving this game, but I'm cycling through controls schemes to find the one that is most optimal for my aggressive style of play. I'm currently using on the Halo 4 control layout, and decided to create this quick mock-up of what I feel would be an ideal setup for people not looking to mod the control itself. I do not care to own it so long as I can use it. I thought I'd name it as well...because like, the others have names too
  16. imthinkinarby's Suggestions for 343 Industries to Improve into Halo 5: Guardians. Hello Halo community! It is a pleasure to be writing for you all who enjoy the Halo franchise as much as I do. Please, 343i, take this into consideration if you are reading. Let's cut to the chase here, guys. As you know, the majority of this fanbase has agreed Halo 4 wasn't as good as previous games in the series; notably Halo 3 (My personal favourite). So I'm here to at least let 343i know of some issues that we as a body have not enjoyed in Halo 4 and long to see tweaked in Halo 5: Guardians. Today is the day before the Halo 5 beta, and I will keep this post updated on things I see that need to be improved. I need a weapon, and said weapon is not a weapon, but a lamp. And said lamp is a keyboard. Here we begin. First of all, one of the most obvious things bothering a few of us is no Elite customization character. Some players prefer the Elite model over the Spartan one, so that can be proves as a letdown to that section of the fanbase. Also, aspiring Machinima directors may want to use Elites in some of their films as they would want to make them the antagonists of said films. Some would call this sloppiness or even downright laziness. Another problem biting me in the *** right now (And arguably the most) is that the originally fun, arena based matchmaking maps have been degraded slightly to those of Call of Duty somewhat. This can be fixed by playing both Halo 3 and Halo 4. A vast majority (I would go as far to say 89%) of the fans prefer Halo 3's multiplayer. Try basing the multiplayer maps off of Halo 3 and give a slight 343i twist to it. Something else is story. Story in Halo 4 was satisfactory for me. But for many others it was a "catastrophe". I wouldn't go that far, but it could have been improved on. Maybe make the Chief go into hiding to be found by UNSC and ONI forces and use him to fight a Storm Covenant invasion force poised on Earth or take down a Promethean asset that is ready to strike Humans and Covenant alike. Or, possibly, make a return of the Flood and another Halo or something. Just random suggestions. And maybe a bit closer to the campaign of Halo Reach, yeah? Goodbye for now, all. I'll edit this post when I have played Halo 5: Guardians. Feel free to comment your suggestions on the topic. I am happy to hear any ideas. Cheers, imthinkingarby
  17. Throughout my halo career I have delved into nearly every aspect of the games. I have vanquished covenant, silenced the flood, and conquered matchmaking. Now a new point has come, the weight of halo and it's responsibility lay on 343s shoulders. With this moment coming, I can only voice my opinion to the new parents of halo. My concerns are first laid upon the master chief collection. All bugs put aside, it shines bright in the collection of halo, however there are larger concerns. For example, custom games. I find it very difficult to connect with the community due to the games difficult setup. One feature in particular bothers me the most. This feature is the one that does not allow other players to join in a game in progress. Not only does this frustrate me, but it also grinds the gameplay to a halt whenever someone else wishes to join in the fun. This is a basic component to the game, and certainly lowers the value without it. Next is the upcoming title 'Halo 5: Guardians'. I am interested in the story of this game. 343 has done well in their campaigns so far, but yet again I am concerned for the multiplayer. Watching the gameplay I noticed many aspects that were questionable to the seasoned halo player. For instance, the automatic callouts during gameplay made me think the game was being dumbed down. Part of the competitive edge I enjoyed about having a team was being able to communicate exclusively. The tedious timing on weapon spawns gave a player the upper hand. However looking at this gameplay makes it look like there is little room to overcome your enemy in method. Halo 5 also concerns me in its customization. I myself have always found that halo has given the most expansive customization to its players, but looking into halo 5 it seems there will be less. I talk about the elite player models. I fear 343 will yet again forsake the elite choice as they did in halo 4. Having elites available open up many different opportunities. Machinamas, matchmaking games (invasion), or even a story connection, and if none of these, just basic preference. If you have successfully made it through my lengthy complaints, I thank you for listening. I only hope 343 will take my opinion into account, for there are many others like myself, one just needs to look. -Apex
  18. i just got done talking to someone from xbox support to confirm that i am a "xbox preview" program member. and it is also said that if you are, you get access to the halo:5 beta. i didnt get an email, or anything with a code. am i missing something? what do i do? i just really want to play halo 5. i cant even buy halo:mcc even if i wanted to, so i was happy knowing i could possibly play the beta without it. if you see this 343, please help. also anyone who is having the same issue who has it fixed please help as well.

  20. I just wanna personally thank Bungie for making me and my family have nostalgia with halo 1 and halo 2!!! And of course all the other halos! Thank you 343 for continuing the halo series! i don't know what i would have done without you guys! thank you all for halo and its community!
  21. As a true halo fan aside from already destroying kids with its perfectly balanced multiplayer the way it WAS,The armor was some thing truly special to me,it made you feel like a bad -snip- and made you want to flock it to anyone you killed, In H4 the armor style was just wack, everyone looked the same since it was so fast, and i felt no urge to really want to play the game to unlock more of its armor unlike the previous Halos,Halo 3 and reach had fantastic armor, and after Bungie left they took that great armor styled talent and put it in Destiny now,The titan class?? Man i could only imagine how they wouldve made the spartans look in halo 4 with that talent, but im not here gonna praise Bungie now, cause 343 can do it too,If they just spend a good amount of time putting the effort into every single piece of armor instead of just using an easy template for all the spartans,I mean if you need help just look at the Destinys Titan class xD (sorry again) but no really, I love what 343 is doing by going back to Halos roots and everything but the Armor was Definitely apart of that, Each spartan looked truly different from buff spartans with that huge knife as a shoulder piece in Halo Reach to slim spartans like in Halo 3,and then people would just make crazy combinations and it was great to even then see their spartans in Halo reach on the side with the vertical list view (As in all halo games) unlike H4 with its horizontal card style which made me feel like i was playing a game that was not Halo sadly,So yes Im hoping 343 would really hear me out on this cause im sure every halo player is hoping of a much better armor customization style for Halo 5,cause after they nail the multiplayer and make H5 go back to how Halo was, Im going to get bored if theres not that super impossible god like piece of armor that ill have to put in mad hours to get, like how halo reach did it ,if anything you can implement credits again and just use them to buy pieces of armor, make them at ridiculous prices and thatll get players to put a lot of hours in the game and especially if you can unlock armor from playing the campaign, and unlocking achievements, thats how you get them hooked, but once again MAKE THE ARMOR LOOK BEAST like a true war fighter spartan, just think Tactical,Military, and Warrior with sharp edges, and even in halo reach you could see some of the dirt and damage on some armor too. but if you listen I bet youll be in the right path to make some fine Armor for H5,Not super power rangers from space with retarted bright colors that made the red in matchmaking look salmon and the blue was like sky blue?? DO NOT REPEAT H4 with that armor style ever, again.but thank you for reading i know it was a lot to -snip- read but i felt i had to get this point across ASAP,cause this will be the decision for me if i actually want to keep playing H5 after you guys make the game "Go back to its roots" Side note: Whats up with all the Blue in Halo 4's UI? Make it a nice Dark mysterious atmosphere, sadly look how Bungie did it with Destiny? Lol sorry again
  22. I'll start off by saying, from what I've seen of Halo 5: Guardians so far, it looks like 343 are heading in the right direction, and are listening to the fans. I am hoping this post will be noticed by 343 and aid them in the game design. For me, the reasons for people disliking Halo 4's multiplayer had been a complete mystery, until I invited an old friend to play matchmaking with me. As we played he pointed all of the little things he didn't like, and I wrote them down on a list... no, really. His exact words were: "It's a good game, but it's not a good HALO game". I'll try to keep this as short as possible, and will add some suggestions of my own. If anyone reading this also has any ideas, feel free to leave them as a reply. - Halo 4's multiplayer is too competitive oriented. This makes it difficult for newcomers to get into the multiplayer and they may become frustrated at their lacking experience and leave before they hone their skills. There were no playlists for people to just relax, where you just played the game, and your stats and game results didn't matter. Solution: Social playlists. Playlists where your rank and other stats are unaffected with nothing recorded. This will make it more light-hearted and provide practice for inexperienced players. - In Halo 4's matchmaking, the game "starts", then there's a UNSC logo, then loadouts, then a countdown. In Halo 3 the game started as soon as it was loaded which I think everyone would prefer. - On smaller Halo 4 maps, there are a lot of enclosed spaces (e.g. Adrift and Solace) where if you get double teamed... well, you're dead. The maps need to be more open with more paths in and out of different areas. This will give players more options for a "counter offensive". More cover would also help counter this. - "Say, you remember Halo 3's Bungie favourites?", "Yeah man, that's where I found Fat kid, Ice cream man, Duck hunt, Jenga, Predator, Halo, Cops 'n' robbers, Sky fortress, and a whole load of cool maps". Halo 5: Guardians and the community would definitely benefit from an easily accessible in game-feature where players can find the latest and best creations. It doesn't have to be "343 favourites" it could be a community features matchmaking playlist. If a playlist or feature like this was updated regularly, there would always be something new and fresh to draw people back in. - In previous Halos, you needed to go out of your way to get power weapons on the map. In Halo 4, you just pressed a button and they were given to you. Giving power-ups to players who are doing well? Really? If the power-ups are on the map, anyone could get them, a newbe could pick up a rocket launcher. This would make the games more balanced and fairer. - Let's be honest some of the armor in Halo 4 was ugly and ridiculous, all they did was take up disc space. If the armor doesn't look good, you don't HAVE to put it in the game. An idea that I had was to unlock decals for your armor, or even make your own and place them wherever you wanted on the character model; maybe put them on file share. Forza's decal editor has produced some excellent results, so give Dan Greenwalt a call if you're reading this 343. - Don't just take features from C.O.D. and bolt them into a Halo game. Halo needs to be unique or people simply won't have any reason to play it, it will just become "Call of Duty: Future Warfare". My friend said that he found the in game scores that pop up distracting from the gameplay. I personally don't have a problem with these, so maybe have the option to turn them off. I also find when it takes more time and effort get a kill it's more satisfying. - Finally, Halo 4's new music is good, but you can't beat the classic theme. Perhaps Marty could better his previous work, wink wink, nudge nudge. Thanks for taking the time to read this, it was hard work for me too

(Talk about a Happy New Year) The Beta is focussed on 4v4 combat on 7 maps and 3 gametypes. You'll also be able to play around with 11 different weapons and a few armour skins. Along with all that you will be able to unlock items that will carry over to the full game. Loadouts will not be in this beta so every Spartan starts out equally.
