  1. Developers already talking about the Halo series and next gen console. In a recent article found at CVG.... 343 discusses Halo 5's next generation potential. Studio will take advantage of any technological developments in the console space. Halo 4 isn't out until November, but that hasn't stopped new series developer 343 Industries talking about the game's successors. Photo credit: 343 Industries/Microsoft "While he was careful not to walk into the trap of directly discussing the likelihood of Halo 5 and Halo 6 appearing on Xbox 720, 343's lead game designer Scott Warner told the Independent that the studio would take advantage of any potential new console hardware when it comes to making future series entries. "I mean certainly as things develop, we have the advantage of working for a publisher and first party development, and if things happen we would certainly want to take advantage of those things," he said. "There's always kind of a careful balancing act between what you decide to improve upon, what you have that you think is really good, what's the great mixture of that to put you in the best position to be successful as a team. But certainly as things go on in development we have an advantage in the sense that we can cross those streams a bit." Warner added: "Obviously we're always attuned to new developments with what's happening internally and externally. "Our current development is all centred around the Xbox 360 and trying to harness everything we can get out of that box, so everything you're seeing is sort of custom built for the 360 experience. Obviously depending on what happens and develops with our company, we'll try to develop our technology and take advantage of it." Will 343 be able to live up to the standards set by series creator Bungie? Get our latest hands-on impressions in this Halo 4 preview. Microsoft has confirmed a Halo 4 release date of November 6."
  2. Info Found by: SykoWolf Thanks to Waypoint User Noble Squash for pointing this out. If you look at the 2:15 mark in the recent behind the scenes video, towards the bottom left you will see an unidentified creature. This creature looks very similar to a crawler, but is slimmer and much more dog like. This can also be seen in the E3 trailer, but I didn’t think much of it back then. Now compare this with the original crawler and the more heavily armored crawler spotted in Spartan Ops. Some believe that the wolf-like promethean is just another class of crawler which varies in its strength and tactics from other crawlers. Perhaps it is the fastest/weakest type of crawler, because instead of having a fully armored pincer head, it has an exposed smaller head. Just a thought, either way I think it looks awesome. 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nymug9Juq2o&feature=youtu.be All 7 button layouts have POSSIBLY been confirmed, there is no official confirmation, but they do seem real. This was found on Youtube By HaloTracker's Channel. It seems that the many complaints about the layouts before have been fixed and they seem to have gone back to default. Notice how B Is to crouch and LS is to use sprint On Default. (I Personally play Default so i have no idea about the rest.) Bumper Jumper seems to be fixed as well and gone back to the normal settings. comment on what you think of the button layout now. View full article

  7. Halo Community Unity I have recently been looking over some posts by Twinreaper and myself and have thought about our community and how we are doing. It feels like we are really pulling together again and I feel like we should extend our desire to bring the Halo community together beyond our forum. Take it into match making and the various other places that you interact with Halo fans. We have a brand new game that can offer a brand new start are bringing the community back together and move forward into the future of Halo. 343 Studios has done their part in creating a game that best speaks to the various interests of all of Halo's sub cultures. Where it can not be the one single game any one fan or group can say they wanted as a whole, it reflects as much a possible what they felt was needed for the community, the franchise and to step into the future with a new gaming experience. Twinreaper made this comment in his thread: "Anyone who would go to various websites around the net, could plainly see how divided and segregated we have allowed ourselves to become. Because of the fragile nature of a community with various sub-cultures, we lost our main goal. Our main goal used to be a simple fun gaming experience in which we all participated, respected one another, and worked towards making the gaming experience a great one, for all walks of life and gaming preferences. Now, we have sub-cultures who would rather shun, insult, ignore and plain out despise any other sub-culture whom does not share the same views. This is dangerous! This alone is why Halo is failing as a community and a franchise. We have lost ourselves among the years of gameplay and interactions resulting their of." This is not true of all sub cultures, but it is still a fact within the community. The casuals vs the hyper competitive's of the 'noobs' vs the experienced are some of the divisions he was referring to. You have to lead by the example of how you interact with others in the community, how you represent yourself. Are you a positive influence or someone who promotes negativity. Jeevo 92 offered this in my thread: "Yes. We are. Whether we realize it or not we NEED to be. So by necessity we are ready. I may not answer posts like I should sometimes. Sometimes I let my viewpoint be the ONLY viewpoint that I allow to be said without me totally tearing that person apart. But that's not right. We are all the same in one way...... we play Halo. We are gamer's and we play Halo. I read some of the books, I have all of the games...but that does not make me better or more of a fan than say, (for the sake of what I am saying) little Johnny who is 8 (thats about how old i was when i played Halo CE for the first time) and who just joined the forums an just got Halo Anniversary. His opinion and ideas should have just as much respect as a member who has been here since the beginnin of the games. He is one of us and deserves our respect and our comradeship." So whether here in the forum or out among our community we should always make the real effort to find the things that unify us rather than separate us from each other. Bungie created this whole experience for us and did so well for so long to support the community in a wide variety of ways. We need to continue the tradition of finding ways to appreciate what we have and embrace what the future will bring.

  9. Another Entry of BABHP Coming your way! The Secret To Zealot. when i think of Zealot, the first map that comes to me is Heretic (Halo 3) Or Midship (Halo 2). Not just because of the obvious Covanent/Purple design put on it, but because of the way it was played. Like most maps, Heretic/Midship was won by top control of the P's and Carbine's and Top mid, if you had that, you'd win since you can shoot down on your enemies and take control of the map. Zealot is slightly different, but the same concept never remains. There's no real way to control Zealot, as its so open, however, there are ways to get spawn traps and keep them in the base for a while. Lets start with, the Pillars/Landings. As you can see, the Pillars are a lead up from the lifts, so obviously, if you control the pillars, you control the lifts, but also you can watch people coming down from the bases and flags and put fire on them before they ever see you, Pillars are easily the most important part of the map as they are basically your way to see everything going in the map and they are essentially control points for if you want to control the map itself, however, there are other control points which are needed. The Top mid is also important, as obviously you can see everywhere, you can see down the spiral, basement, everywhere, everywhere that needs to be taken care of, you can take care of from there, it is essential you control these main points as this will win you the game. If i had to play Zealot right now, i'd play it like this TWO on pillars/Landings ONE on Top Mid ONE on Bottom Mid These means all of the points which they can stop you are covered, as they will not be able to get close to you. 2. Your Teammates and Teamwork. Most MLG pro players consider their teammates their best friends. This is because they do a lot of social activities together. Soccer, Night Clubs, even MLG games in the same room, all of this leads to socializing and as such leading to better teamwork as you will be so used to each other that, while it will take a bit of time, your teamwork will just flow like that. So, if you want to make a team, try and get a team of people who are close to you so then you can hang out more and get used to each other, and this will improve your team game play, which is essential for a game like Halo Reach since Teamwork is now so much more important and individual skill isn't so much. 3. Your Dream Setup A Setup is essential to any up and coming player in order to get good. It is essential you have a good setup in order to raise your game to the next level. A Setup is arguably the most important thing in a MLG player as if you don't have the right setup, it won't work out. DON'T BUY A HUGE TV. Buy a 22 Inch Asus. Why? Because BIG TV's have screen lag and as such this will make the game play rubbish and not worthwhile, getting a small TV with no screen lag is brilliant as then you will hit shots you are meant to hit and there will be no lag coming with it because of your Big TV. BUY GOOD HEADPHONES. Good headphones are essential as you will be able to hear things many players can't, such as a grenade change or weapon change, which as a result will help you to guess where the player is and kill him, and he will be like "How the F did he know i was there?" Well, with good headphones like Steelseries or Astros, your game play and communication will improve greatly. Chair and stuff isn't essential as it doesn't really matter. However, i recommend getting a controller you will get used to quickly as that controller will be your life gaming wise. You can't keep switching controllers as every controller is different and it will feel weird. 4. Sports and how they help. Sports keep you active, they keep you healthy, and they keep you in top shape. However, many sports help to speed up reactions, sports like Baseball and Football/Soccer help speed up reactions as you have to think quick and on your feet, and this will transfer into games like halo, as it is the same concept, you have to be quick and think fast if you want to live, Many Pros like Tsquared and FearItSelf Play Basketball and some do Yoga to relax and stuff, because competitive gaming can get very stressful, and basketball is also a good way of speeding up reactions as you have to decide when to pass or shoot very quickly and if you make a mistake, you can lose some points for your team, so sports are a major help in reactions and similar things required to improve gaming. 5. Overview of Halo 4 for Competitive Needs. If you haven't heard about Halo 4, you have been living under a rock, on a bridge, or somewhere where no people live, and there's no form of communication or technology in the world, however, if you are one of the many people who have heard about halo 4, you will have seen many features like AA's, permanent Sprint, Weapons, etc. But, how will these fit into competitive/MLG likeings? First off, we need a ranking system, competitive gaming thrived off the ranking system and halo 4 should be no different, it shouldn't be 1-50 however it shouldn't be XP based either, it needs to be bang in the middle where it is fair but also competitive, this will lead to more people playing the game and the game lasting much longer. Also, Im glad 343i have realised that many people want classic gameplay, and with that they have taken out everything and just left us with the core gameplay, this will make many halo 2 / halo 3 /MLG fans happy as they wanted to play the game in its barebones and without any Halo 4 added settings, this was a good move by 343 for its competitive crew. IMO i think many of halo 4 features, if tweaked properly, can be used in MLG / Competitive settings, but i want to play the game with settings and without, and then i will make a future thread about it. Thanks For Reading. In Entry 13. - The Pit - Strategy - How To Get Ready for Halo 4 - Specializations for Halo 4 - Favourite Dual Combo to have in MLG - Other news.
  10. While discussing new Outlook email service, Microsoft general manager Brian Hall namedrops "New Xbox" but does not share more. After significant speculation spread over the span of years, Microsoft has finally spoken on-record about its next Xbox. During an interview with The Verge focused on Microsoft's new Outlook email service (embedded below), general manager Brian Hall name-dropped a "new Xbox." “We’ve had Hotmail and operated Hotmail for about 16 years, we obviously have Exchange, and Outlook, that people use at work. We just decided it was time to do something new and bring the best from each of those and put them together and release it right in time for the new wave of products that we could have coming out with Windows 8, with the new version of Office with the new Windows phone and the new Xbox,” Hall said. Hall did not share further details on the next Xbox. Windows 8 will launch on October 26 alongside Microsoft's new Surface tablet line. [uPDATE] Following the publication of this story, Microsoft issued a statement to GameSpot on the matter. “Xbox 360 has found new ways to extend the console lifecycle by introducing controller-free experiences with Kinect and re-inventing the console with a new dashboard and new entertainment content partnerships," reads a line from the statement. "We are always thinking about what is next for our platform and how to continue to defy the lifecycle convention.” The analyst consensus is that the next Xbox, as well as the PlayStation 4, will be on store shelves for holiday 2013. A recent 56-page document supposedly originating from Microsoft said the next Xbox would launch in 2013 at $299 bundled with the second iteration of Kinect, among other updates. As for the PS4, PlayStation executive Andrew House said in June that Sony's new console would not be shown until a "significant leap" over the PlayStation 3 could be demonstrated." View full article

  15. This is what halouniverse said about this picture "A few hours ago, it leaked online a fantastic artwork by Halo 4 representing a new Multiplayer/Spartan Ops map, which however do not yet know virtually nothing, except some possible detail due to its appearance. The map, of generous size, and that has some human structures, seems to fit the frenzied clashes Big Team Battle that Halo has always been accustomed. Furthermore, since there are no mountain ranges scattered in the middle of the arena game, you can expect the use of aircraft. I propose to follow the artwork, stay tuned for updates." Write in the comments below what you think this map may be and if its Multiplayer or Spartan Ops. View full article

  18. Here is a comment Frank O'Connor replied to Louis Wu regarding Quick time events. We have seen some quick time events in video, trailers and vidoc's, such as the Chief climbing over some scaffolding/ wreckage, prying open door and the part where the Chief throws an Elite over a ledge. But the the questions is do we control those quick time moments or do they happen automatically like they do in Reach? Here is the comment Frank O'Connor gave: "I would point out these moments are rare and only happen during events that are things you can't normally do physically. The first level has a couple of them to "train" you, but they won't be frequent or presented as QTE problems. They're transitional or cinematic vignettes that don't yank you out of the action. Also, if you don't smash that Elite he tosses you down the shaft". Original Link to Frank O'Connor's Comment Here View full article
  19. This appeared in a video of an interview with Josh Holmes (Video Below) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00_EyaZpbsU&feature=player_embedded During the GameSpot Campaign interview, after the Campaign demo the game returns the main menu giving us our first look at the animated backdrop. As is the tradition with the trickle of Halo information we've been getting, it leaves us with more questions than answers. There's quite clearly a Halo in the background there, I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that Halo 4 contains a Halo, but it's the first we've seen or heard about one. There's also an absolutely ravaged planet that looks like it's been hollowed out.. I guess it could be Requiem, but it doesn't really look like it..

  21. Imagine if you have never played halo before, you've always been a CoD/Battlefield man, and you are about to delve into the world of halo, it can be quite scary, but also quite a fun experience as you will notice while obviously the game is very different, it always to seem to have a competitive aspect, something that both CoD and BF lack in that respect. So lets get started, so again, imagine you've just bought halo reach, and you have never played any other Halo's before, and you are worried about what its gonna be like, if your going to suck at it or not, or if you will do well. 1. Play the Campaign. You'll be surprised how many people don't actully play the campaign and just go straight into multiplayer, this is never a good idea as if you don't know the weapons and how to use them, you will get ****** over quite badly. Now i understand that the Campaign in Halo reach probably isn't the best campaign ever, but it is quite good at letting you use every weapon (Sniper, DMR, AR, Etc) and letting u get good with it at your own progress, the campaign is pretty good for a new halo player, & can certainly help you a lot and make you much a better player, by the time you finished the campaign, you will be surprised how much better you are at the game already. 2. Play with Friends! (Campaign/Multiplayer) You'll be surprised how much friends make a difference in a game, as they can guide you in the right direction and try to tell you mistakes you make, and can overall can just make the game more fun and exciting, as you know you can have fun while playing. Instead of finding some super-serious Kids who think winning is the be-all and end-all, you can play with friends & have a much more fun and enjoyable time because, they will kind of let you learn at your own pace as you won't have people screaming down their mic "YOU SUCK! QUIT THE *Insert Language* GAME!* Im now going to Imagine you have finished the Campaign and have played a few multiplayer matches, and you are kind of experienced. 3. Play Team Slayer and stick with it for a bit. In my opinion, Team slayer is a nice way of getting up in skill levels and skill in general, because, in team slayer, there are a LOT of people who don't know what they are doing, bit like the person who is going to read this (presuming they are new) and will be in the EXACT same position as you, new, just got out of the campaign, and are ready to try their luck at multiplayer, i will talk about winning/losing next, but for now, just stick with team slayer and play it for a bit, until you have a good idea of what you are doing and are enjoying the game mostly, if you aren't enjoying the game, you mighyt as well not play it, because the #1 reason you play any game, is because you enjoy it, hell, if you don't enjoy something, don't do it simple as. 4. Don't worry about winning/losing The one thing that makes me mad in ANY game, is people's Ego's and the fact they think winning and losing is the be all and end all, because, in reach anyway, Winning and losing means **** all, as long as you are enjoying yourself and want to keep playing, that is good enough. As Day[9] would say: "GET YOUR EGO OUT OF THE F****** GAME!" don't go into a game thinking your going to be the best instantly, because, lets be honest, unless you are naturally talented at gaming, you are not going to be great at it instantly, just keep playing and ignore all the hate people will give you 5. Move Onto Other Playlists Im going to presume now you are doing Ok in team slayer, getting about 8+ kills, and dying a lot less then you were, lets say when its your first game of Team slayer, you are a better player already, so now you should move onto different playlists, whether is Team Objective, BTB, or Swat, any of them are good, just, again, as long as you are learning and enjoying yourself, for now, that is all that matters. I wouldn't recommend the following playlists until you are really good (i will explain why not to pick them in the next entry i do.) 1. MLG. 2. Team Snipers In Entry #2, i will be explaining about the DMR in great detail, why not to go into MLG and Team Snipers, as well as Positioning in certain maps and how to use a sniper effeicentally, i hope you enjoyed reading this, and i hope you can't wait for entry #2 (Will Be Done Every Wednesday & Sunday Until Told Different) Have fun in halo reach! 22. The other day GrifballHub held an interview for Halo 4 forge and they answered some questions. What new tools can Forgers look forward to in Halo 4? "We have added a variety of new tools to the Halo 4 Forge feature set that we hope will become productivity enhancers for the creators amongst you. Two of them are: Magnets – All structure pieces now have “magnets” attached to them. When the magnet system is turned on, this will cause pieces to automatically attract to each other. This makes it significantly easier to line objects up correctly. Duplicate Object – You can now duplicate the object you are targeting at the press of a button. Combining this with magnets makes it super quick to build out objects that use the same piece (for example, bridges"). What options are available for Player Trait Zones? "There are a ton of options (and too many to list!) but here are a few of them: Shields and Health - Zones can be created to modify damage resistance, shield multiplier and recharge rate, etc. Movement – Zones can be created where player movement speed and jump height are greatly altered. Player visibility – Zones can be created to affect player visibility." What do you think is the most innovative change to Forge in Halo 4? "We’re excited about the Player Trait Zones. We have been playing with these for a while and have come up with some really cool levels. But we know that we have only scratched the surface and can’t wait to see what all of you can do with them!" Has Forge been made more approachable for novice Forgers? If so, how? "We have worked hard to make this mode more accessible for first-time Forgers. The two largest changes are: D-pad menu – When in Monitor mode, a D-pad menu now appears in the corner of the screen. This menu is contextual and changes based on what the player is targeting. Players will now be able to use the D-pad in a variety of ways, and we think this will make the interface more intuitive for new Forgers. Targeting enhancements – When you target an object in Forge, it now highlights based on its state and there is a small window below the object that tells you its name. We are hoping this will make it easier to select objects and know what kind of object you are holding." What options are available to players to give their maps a unique look or feel? "The big change in Halo 4 is that there are now three Forge environments instead of a single Forge World map (each of these environments is different in terms of aesthetic and geographical theme). Outside of maps, all the ways to modify aesthetics in Reach remain in Halo 4 – lighting, special fx, etc. as well as an expanded palette of Forge building pieces." Will the Grid be making a return as a placeable object? "Yes. The grid will be placeable in the three Forge environments." Will the coordinate system be coming back? "You bet!" View full article
  23. Halo 4 Specializations An in depth look at one of Halo's new features By: Absolute Dog 343 Industries.org Specializations may be the unique way Halo again sets itself apart from the rest of the FPS on the market. Halo 4 will continue the use of some of the abilities first introduced in Halo: Reach along with the always available sprint. The game will include new abilities in Promethean Vision, Hardlight Shield, Auto-Sentry, Thruster Pack and Regeneration Field. The base player speed is said to be similar to that of Halo 3 which, when coupled with sprint and specializations, should make for some incredibly fast paced and hectic gaming. The first look will my into the recently released information on Specializations. Included will be a combination of developer quotes, narrative from various sources, video and images that will help the reader to gain a better grasp of this subject. This is the basic overview offered by 343 Industries about Specializations and how they affect or integrate with the ranking system, abilities, armors and various other player aspects. It also mentions unlockable items made available by progressing through the various levels. The UNSC Infinity, the largest starship in the UNSC fleet, is your gateway to the Infinity Multiplayer experience in Halo 4 and serves as the center of your Spartan career. Here you will build your custom Spartan-IV super-soldier, and progress your multiplayer career across both Spartan Ops and the multitude of competitive War Games modes. Halo 4 has fifty levels. Once you have advanced through the standard fifty levels, you will get the option to enlist in a Specialization. You can choose the order in which you tackle unlocked Specializations. However once you select one, you must advance through it completely before enlisting in a separate Specialization. Specializations allow you to enlist in specific rank paths. These paths are composed of ten levels each. As you level up through these dedicated paths, you will unlock armor sets, emblems, visor colors, weapon and armor skins, and armor mods – which provide even more options to customize your Spartan-IV to fit your preferred role on the battlefield. These armor mods will work exactly like all other tactical and support mods in the game. They are not tied to specific armor for each Specialization, so you don’t have to wear the armor to use that particular mod. They enhance a small part of the sandbox (meaning good players will still be good, and not good players will still be not good), allowing people to play the style they want to play and experience the parts of the sandbox they like on a more frequent basis. We consider Specializations end-game content because even if you have “access” to all of them on day one, you will still need to reach level 50 before you can enlist in any Specializations. Think of them as giving you control over extending your level cap. Two Specializations – Wetwork and Pioneer – will be available to all players when the game launches, and the rest will gradually be made available in the months following launch. We will be keeping a close watch on player participation post-launch and will roll out the additional six Specializations when the player base reaches certain milestones. There will also be playlists available that do not utilize loadouts or armor mods. That overview included the fact of the 1 through 50 levels of the base ranking system and that once a player reaches the highest level they can then choose which Specialization they first want to unlock. Having to complete it before selecting another is required, but a statement by David Ellis while speaking to IGN indicates that skill earned during this progression may unlock other Specializations. David Ellis...... "By enlisting in a Specialisation you basically raise your own level cap," explained Spartan Ops designer. "With each one, you can extend the level cap a little further. You do not have to rank all the way through again [to unlock another Specialisation]." David spoke to the fact that the Specializations would be more of a reward for players who were dedicated enough to progress up to the fiftieth level in multiplayer and considered to be "end game content". He went on to add, "We'll be watching the level curve of the community closely close launch and will do our best to role Specializations out as we see segments of the playerbase reach max rank." Each class offers nine levels of customization options including armor sets, weapon skins, emblems and visor covers, while a tenth level grants the player with a "game play modifying perk" Specialization Classes_____________________________________________________________________ Wetworks According to recent information offered by 343 Industries we find out that, "Wetwork Specialization is a Spartan optimization for stealth operations which focus on the elimination of an enemy target with the goal of leaving no tactical footprint behind. The Stealth mod armor allows users to move quickly and silently in combat, executing enemy assassinations with lightning fast dexterity. " I think Ryan McCaffrey of IGN put it best by saying,"Halo fans who wore the Hyabusa armor proudly in Halo 3 can now walk the walk in addition to talking the talk. As you may have heard in previous Halo 4 multiplayer footage, these Spartan IVs make some serious noise when they move. How could they not? They’re seven-foot-tall super humans running around frantically while wearing one-ton metal armor. Enter the Wetwork armor mod, which boasts a couple of key stealth-related benefits." His discussion with David Ellis on Specializations led David to point out that, “When someone’s using Promethean Vision, they show up on screen as a big red figure. With this [mod], you still show up, but the only thing that shows up is your outline. And also when you sprint, it adds some sound dampening so you don’t make as much noise. You definitely still show up on radar, let me make that clear.” "Furthermore, the assassination animation will happen faster for you, leaving you vulnerable for a shorter duration of time. " , added McCaffrey. 343 offered additional information about this 'Stealth' armor mod that, "has very sharp shapes and angles, reminiscent of a knife or blade – does a number of things to help a player that likes to get up close and personal. Many times when someone is using Promethean Vision, they scan quickly so if there’s a lot going on, they may miss you. Or you can hope, anyway." This modification with it's faster assassination ability leaves a player less vulnerable to attack from an opponents team mate. Wetworks Weapon Skin as it appears on the DMR Wetworks is one of the two immediately accessible Specializations available to all players out of the box. The other one is Pioneer, so let's take a look at it. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<o>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Pioneer In regards to the other Specialization available on November 6th, 343 Industries states that the, "Pioneer Specialization is a Spartan optimization for deployment into uncharted, hostile territory (such as uncolonized worlds or Forerunner constructs like Requiem) for the purpose of gathering/relaying information." The 'Fast Track' armor modification will allow players to gain more experience points, or 'data', from each gaming encounter which will quicken the pace at which they rank up. McCaffrey says of this variant, "We can’t imagine anyone not starting out by spending a lot of time as a Pioneer, and not just because it's the only other Specialization that everyone will have access to on November 6. Simply, the Pioneer’s Fast Track mod nets you experience points towards the next level at a higher rate, bringing you closer to your high-level goals." Ryan goes on to say, "Ellis and 343 have already planned for the potential exploits of this particular class. “You can change loadouts mid-match, but we put fail-safes in,” Ellis begins. “For Fast Track, you only get extra XP for the amount of time you were using it. You can’t just turn it on right at the end of a match and think you’re going to get extra XP for everything you did in a match." According to additional information from 343 Industries this, "armor mod features armor that has wiring which runs throughout the armor to control temperatures in extreme conditions. Gameplay-wise, it gives the player more post-game experience. In-game, if you get 10 points per kill, you don’t get more at that exact moment, but after the game it modifies the amount of experience your Spartan earns to increase the speed at which you rank up. It’s not for everybody because it takes up a primary spot (that could be used for something like carrying an extra grenade or sprinting longer). And, in case you were wondering, you can’t change to it at the end of a game and get more experience for the entire match." Pioneer Weapon Skin as it appears on the Plasma Pistol That is a preview of the two Specializations shipped with the game, but it important to note the rest of the specializations will be released at a later period unless you purchase the Halo 4 Limited Edition which will access to all eight Specializations at the November 6th game launch. Another incentive to purchase the LE if I do say so myself! I will add the rest of the Specializations right here as time permits this evening. View full article
  24. I personally think you people wouldn't be crying so much if this game (Halo 4) was still made by Bungie. You are scared to change, to what 343i can do to your (and my) favorite franchise. But we cannot see the damn future. I think 343i is making a great job, and of course there are things I like and dislike, but I still look forwards Halo 4. >New weapons? Every halo game had new weapons. >Permanent Sprint? Spartans are very light-footed. They should be able to sprint. Even the Chief, and he is a Spartan-II and those are way more heavier than IV's. >Instant Spawn? What the hell, it lets you play more. >No Elites? Halo CE had no elites in Multiplayer. you didn't complain on dat. >"The weapons do not look the same, and do not perform the same as previous games" Every game had, its own looks and performance. >Armor abilities? There are always classic playlists. >Rankin' System? nobody should complain about that, Its just a game, and you progress, shouldn't matter how. >Looks too CoD? Let me remember you Halo came before CoD and was one (if not the first) of the first FPS on console. CoD looks like Halo, not backwards. Finally, you can't say anything about the gameplay until playing it by yourselves. Thanks.
