  1. Halo Infinite Here we'll be discussing all things Halo Infinite, and there's a lot to discuss. Now besides the first three quarters looking like a stunning nature documentary, Halo Infinite's announcement at Microsoft's 2018 E3 conference has left us with a lot of questions. Ok so lets start by assuming that this indeed is after the events Halo 5, because that's what 343 have implied so far. Does that make this game Halo 6? I was expecting two games to be revealed, Halo 6 and another (most likely FPS) Halo title. We got one short announcement, that has left us filled with awe, and confusion. I'm sure we're all really interested to hear more about Infinite, because so far things aren't clear at all, and all we can do is speculate. We're also assuming the Spartan seen at the end is John-117. Now, two things that stand out about John are that 1) he's in Mk VI MJOLNIR armour and 2) he slots in an AI chip. Another interesting things to note, is that they're clearly on a Halo ring, with pulsing structures that resemble those seen on Installation 04 in Halo: Combat Evolved. The way I see it, there are three possibilities: 1) This is not canon footage. This is just a way to demo the new 'Slipspace' gaming engine for future Halo games. Halo Infinite is to be the first Halo title utilising this engine, and this announcement is basically a hype/flex by 343. A very good one, it is. There may be no canon story in that footage, none of what we say may actually be happening. John putting the AI in, might just be shown to induce hype and because it looks good. 2) This is actually GEN2 Mark VI armour, as seen in 5, but 343 are scrapping that visually modified version completely. This isn't ridiculous, because it's what they did from Halo 3 to 4, and people don't riot over it. I think the Halo 4 Mk VI helmet looks good as well, and it's not an artistic change, the helmet does actually look that way after Cortana used nanobot technology to repair and reform parts of the armour after Halo 3's ending. Maybe it now is an artistic change, and 343 are suggesting that the Halo 3's armour design was canonically the one seen in Halo 4 and 5, but they just displayed it differently for those two games. He could be wearing armour seen in Halo 5, with a repaired/new helmet, but 343 chose to go back to the previous art style (if this case is true, then they would be art styles and not actually different designs). 3) That is Mark VI GEN1 MJOLNIR, and there's a reason Chief is back in it. Better be a good one. There's also a reason for the AI being slotted into his helmet, either it's Cortana or another one he's using. Now, 3) is probably the most popular belief, as people are already trying to find explanations. I think 2), despite being possible, is unlikely, because it'll cause a lot of disagreement in the community. People will get confused, though it may work in the long run. Possibility 1) is kind of likely, this announcement may just be another E3 2013 teaser (see Site Poll 80). If I had to pick one, I'd say they'll go with case 3), but I'm really curious about explanations. We also have no idea about the nature of the game. What Installation is that? Where are they? Is this an FPS? Is it Halo 6? When's it set? Share your thoughts and questions, let me know which possibility you think is most likely, and if you're aware of any other likely possibility. Watch the footage here: 343ICF, lets discuss Halo Infinite. Edit: Had to replace a) and b ) with 1) and 2) because 'b' with a ')' directly after is a smiley.

  8. Information surrounding the Halo Wars 2 Beta was leaked accidentally in the Xbox Store today: supposedly ahead of it's planned reveal at Microsoft's E3 conference on June 13th. Said leak apparently was a result of Xbox Director of Programming Larry Hyrb aka 'Major Nelson' following said page. Based on what was shown, the Beta will run from June 13th to June 20th. The full list of info gleaned is below: "Be among the first to experience the explosive return of real-time strategy to the Halo universe in the Halo Wars 2 Multiplayer Beta for Xbox One", the opening paragraph reads. Will run from June 13th, 2016 - the day of the Microsoft Press Conference, but not confirmed at what time - to June 20th, 2016 specifically for Xbox One. Windows 10 was not mentioned. Requires an Xbox Live Gold Membership to participate. The Beta will be 13GBs in size. Number of players capable of playing the Beta on one console is restricted to just 1 while it's up to 6 online. The Beta is 100% open, and can be accessed by anyone on it's launch date. As an indirect response to the leak the official Halo Youtube channel has begun uploading intriguing yet haunting '101s' regarding the events of the first Halo Wars. What this means not only for the sequel but for the original is yet to be determined. The canonically-first episode of the series can be seen . Halo Wars 2 is a real-time strategy game slated for release sometime in late 2016 for both Xbox One and Windows 10 - developed in partnership between SEGA's Creative Assembly of Total War fame and 343 Industries. The game will be shown at the Microsoft E3 conference starting at 9:30 AM PT on June 13th. Thanks for reading! Sources: Eurogamer Kotaku Reddit
  9. At the end of my greatest warzone game ever. The game threw me into some lobby then it spazzed out. I obtained no xp, no rewards to commendations I know I completed, and no req points. Worst of all I lost the cinema clip to the game. A 700-100 comeback and win. I am wondering if there is a way to access the game and obtain the rewards I earned.
  10. GameRadar sat down with 343's franchise director Frank O'Connor to discuss topics relating to Halo 5: Guardians for a live stream interview. During the interview a question was raised regarding the possibility of Halo 5 being brought over to PC which O'Connor states that "There is plenty of chance Halo 5 could appear on the PC". He went on to say "Nothing to announce at this point, but it’s absolutely within the bounds of reason." Many PC gaming enthusiast Halo fans have asked for PC releases since the announcement of Halo 3 as Halo 2 was the last major title to release on PC Since then the only Halo titles that have released world wide on PC have been Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike. But there is Halo Online, however Halo Online seems it will only available in Russia, but it's unknown if it will stay in Russia. In the interview Frank O'Connor stated "We developed the game on an Intel platform. It wouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff. But nothing to announce today." The next title confirmed for PC is Halo Wars 2, which was announced in August and is set for a 2016 release. 11. You can watch the whole thing (or view the embedded version below). The ViDoc weaves through a myriad of ideas, backstory, and behind the scenes footage while numerous 343 Industries employees have concurrent "mini interviews". Noteworthy things from the video include (the corresponding images will be linked via #): The introductory cutscene for the ViDoc's name, which might actually be in the game. It shows Locke climbing up some sort of rocky cliff (or getting up? His BR is laying on the ground beneath him, so he could have fallen) while the screen pans up to a view of Chief standing atop the hill. # # # Yellow Gauss Hog, Yellow Mongoose, a Yellow "Wargoose" or Gungoose (seems to have weapons attached to it's hood. It's currently unconfirmed on what it is), a crashed Pelican colored yellow, and an AI character (construction worker?) driving a Mongoose. These might be possible construction themed vehicles. # # # # A dev working on a 343 Industries themed Assault Rifle. # Chief touching Cortana's chip, which vanishes afterward, and a apparition of Cortana. This is from the Blue Team level that has been shown before. # # # An Elite presumably working on a parked Banshee with it's wings & hood raised. # Development model of the Wraith (it's still the actual model that's in the final game), and some weird looking Tank in the background. # Mini Forklift. # A wall in Campaign that can be destroyed by a Shoulder Charge (it's the cracked wall underneath the destroyed stairs). # Chat bubbles over team characters heads when they talk (possibly the same bubbles seen in game chat in Online Coop). # # First Person view of the revive mechanic. # # AI friendly Elites. # First Person view of Locke ordering Spartan Tanaka to pick up a Scattershot. # # Shade Turret. # Anti-Air Turret? # Captain Lasky. # # Buck holding an unknown Magnum variant (his personal sidearm?). # Dr. Halsey. # I have compiled an extensive album of around 103 images from the ViDoc here. Though it certainly is not all of the obtainable screenshots. Finally, the ViDoc itself can be viewed below if you declined to click the IGN link at the beginning of this article. Thanks for reading! 12. Let’s suppose you have a favorite cuisine, as I am sure you, as most people, do. You go to other restaurants and try other types, Italian, Chinese, French, Cajun, Greek, etc. There’s countlessly many types of cuisines, as there are games. You found your favorite type though, and more importantly, your favorite restaurant that serves that cuisine, your favorite game. You go to that restaurant several times, and are always happy with your purchases. Yet one day there’s a new manager. He promises things will not change, yet your first entrée you order under him, Halo 4, arrives and gives you diarrhea. They have taken your favorite cuisine, let’s say it’s Chinese, and served you curry, expecting you to not know that they literally took your food, your characters, threw them away, brought in everything about curry (call of duty) and slapped on the ‘chinese’ cuisine name. You get diarrhea and vomiting from how terrible that curry is, curry you spent years waiting for and over a $100 on. A few years later you decide you will give it another shot. You spend $60 on one last item of Chinese food from that restaurant. You get food poisoning from that food. To apologize for apparently ‘forgetting’ to notice the maggots, smell, mold, and other total signs that the food was is no way fit for public consumption. They apologize ‘profusely’ for this ‘honest mistake’ and promise you a FREE glass of water (month of Xbox Live) and, if you can afford to wait, an appetizer complimentary onion ring (Halo 3: ODST). That totally makes up for the pain, disappointment, destroyed trust, and all that time and money you spent. But hey, at least you’re ‘1th’ place to them, right? You still have food poisoning from them. That food they served you still has maggots in it, they haven’t finished picking them all out yet, still MANY flaws and gross oversights. But hey, the manager comes and tells you to be excited because in a few months here they’ll have a BRAND NEW ENTRÉE, Halo 5! You should for some reason be excited for that despite the fact they still haven’t fixed your current entrée you spent money on MONTHS ago. Now, if this was a restaurant that just poisoned you and had previously given you diarrhea and vomiting, would you buy from this restaurant again? Would you risk what might happen from eating that new entrée they have coming out? No. No one would. And what, might I ask is the difference between 343i and a restaurant? Both are businesses trying to make money. Both depend on people to keep them in business. Yet, for some reason, the restaurant will probably have a way you can contact them with concerns, but 343i requires going through their mommy, Microsoft Chat, who has promised countless times to ‘leave them a note’ and you still haven’t gotten a response. I have several friends who I used to spend nights on end playing Halo with. Laughing, enjoying the game way past its replay value. Now, all of those friends have moved on, they no longer care for anything about Halo due to what 343i has done, poisoned the trust of their consumers. I now sit at their table, asking why I should continue sitting there for this ‘new cuisine’ when there’s another city, called Play Station, with the same cuisines and only missing this said restaurant, the one where the CEO for some reason can’t demand an answer to the maggots in their consumers food, and where the chef who served that crap is a ghost, one you have no reason to believe even remotely cares about your comments to their food. Just like this restaurant should be shut down for what it’s done to the consumers in poisoning them, so should 343 be shut down for the disgrace they’ve brought upon a name Bunjie spent years building up. I tried contacting you via Microsoft Chat 4-5 times, and posted on your forums around Christmas time (you still haven't responded). It is now 5 months post launch. You still don't have MCC working (your 'ranking coming' soon message is becoming rather tiresome and tedious, but not only that, the ONLY ranking you have is so illogical it's laughable. I went 9 kills and 33 deaths last game. My ranking didn't budge down to what it should be, because, you know, that would be an actual ranking system, file share has been gutted and tossed aside despite how popular it was for years on end, players still lag switch and use modded controllers in matchmade games and you do nothing, teams are ridiculously one-sided and uneven, games constantly fail to load, frame-rates plummet on your maps, players are STILL booted from lobbies after EVERY game, I constantly 'lose connection to host' despite having a 30 mbps download speed and am consequently forced to reload everything, no penalty for players quitting early, these are but a few) and yet you CONTINUE to pump out and advertise your new 'entree' coming out soon when the one you JUST served us still has maggots crawling in it. What are you, as a whole doing? I have invested +$200 into your hands, and you have let me down consecutively. Give me one good reason to invest even one more cent into your pockets, or even one way you plan to right this wrong. One reason is all I ask of you that I shouldn't sell my Xbox right now and move to Play Station, because let me tell you that Halo is the only reason for me being on Xbox, and right now that doesn't look like a very sufficient reason.
  13. On 4/16/15, B is for Bravo posted a status for Halo: Master Chief Collections Update. As well as other news for the community. You can view the original post on Halo Waypoint Over the past few weeks or so, 343's MCC teams have been working hard on the next Content Update, or CU, that will be released sometime next week. Date and time are not clarified as of yet, however it's going to be the next best thing right next to the February Update, allowing Matchmaking problems to be sorted out. Which turns to only have worked for many, more than everybody. They have not included all updates that will be applied, but there are a few that stand out to the Community. Some of them are good, some of them are bad. Additional penalties will be included in matchmaking. Making players focus more. Yes, 343 has decided to add in penalties for anybody who betrays and/or quits the game. Now, I am assuming these will be similar to along the lines of a mix between what Halo 3 and Halo: Reach did. Halo 3 was taking away EXP, or rank. Halo Reach temporarily banned you from matchmaking. The timer set at a minimum of 10 minutes. Which is where I get into the fun part. Ranks. Yes, 343 is rolling out the ranks! You know all those playlists that say "Unranked" with the description underneath the banner/image that reads. "Ranking Coming Soon"? Unfortunately, there's only one thing about this that they have said. It's nothing minor, but it's more of a safety precaution: "Shortly after the content update drops (we’re aiming for the next day or so), we’ll be resetting ranks for the Halo 2: Anniversary playlist, and also adding ranking to Team Slayer and the Halo Championship Series playlists. Over the following days, we’ll be monitoring results to ensure that everything is working properly before adding ranks to additional playlists." -B is for Bravo So yes, we'll be having to wait before additional playlists get ranks. But eventually they'll all finally get their ranks! Woot! Woot! Now, here's the fun part. Playlist rotation. Yep. Time to bring in the fun. SWAT is coming in! However this is the only playlist being rotated in, it will now be permanent, or a featured playlist as they call it. Last but not least, Halo 3's forge will be getting a little fix 'er upper. I'll let you read this part for yourselves: "With this same update, we’ll be bringing SWAT back as the featured playlist, this time with Halo 3 game types included, as the April CU will also bring with it some additional fixes to allow for Halo 3 map / game type integration into new and existing playlists. This also means that over the next few updates, you can expect more non-default Halo 3 maps and game types to make their way into matchmaking." -B is for Bravo That's all I got for you guys. I'm personally excited for the return of SWAT, and it being a featured playlist. All together I'm excited for this update! Let me know below, in the comments, what you think! (Disclaimer: Photo is not by me; text between quotation marks, and that are italicized, are not in my own words)

  15. I've made this thread for anybody who wishes to make up a Legendary Weapon that they deem to be pretty friggin' cool. This way, we keep the forums clean. Here, I'll start. Weapon Name - Halo: CE Magnum What Makes it a Legendary - 3 Head shots to kill Specialties in Animation - Classic Pistol whip melee attack How to balance this weapon out - Raise the recoil in order to delay aiming time / Slower reload speed Appearance - Like the Halo: CE Magnum, just more modern Have fun. P.S - Hope this helps you think:

  20. Greetings, forum. Recently, 343 Industries announced their first digital novel, Halo: New Blood. This will feature ODST Edward Buck, also known as 'Bucky'. He's only been seen in Halo 3: ODST, but this novel will show us how he gets on after the Human-Covenant War. With the Chief being listed as MIA and several other Spartans being killed in battle, the new Spartan-IV program is introduced. After the UNSC recognising Buck's heroic efforts in the Human-Covenant War, they leave him with two options. He can either retire to a luxurious life, or take up a promotion and become a Spartan-IV. Buck has to make a life-changing decision. Will he retire and live the nice, peaceful life any veteran soldier would love? Or, will he join the new Spartan program and continue to fight whatever force opposes mankind? Cover art for Halo: New Blood Halo: New Blood will be released on 2 March, 2015. It will be written through Buck's perspective. What do you think about this? Are you happy to see old Bucky make a return? Thanks for reading. - Spartan Source: http://halo4nation.com/other/halo-blood-announced-buck-odsts/ View full article

  23. A colossal amount of information was just revealed for the Halo 5 Beta at HaloFest this year (I'm talking ALLOT of info). The whole video is at the bottom of this article. Oh, and I'm sure I got some of the information wrong, so feel free to correct me if you see any errors. Here's the gist: Everyone starts the same. Every Spartan Ability (I'll detail those later on in this article), and Weapon (starter primary, secondary, and grenades) is given to the player at the beginning. No Loadouts. Like how Halos 1-3 were played. All weapons contain a zoom feature, with some akin to ADS (Aim Down Sights). Not all weapons have this, like the DMR (the DMR is nearly the same as it's H4 counterpart Scope wise, and aesthetically). There seems to be a before, and after game animation for each Player Team that shows their aesthetics. The winning team taunts the other team in bravado. Everything listed in this article is based off of work-in-progress material in the Beta. So it's not final. The time the Beta releases makes it the earliest public Halo Beta ever released. 24. Not all weapons have this, like the DMR (the DMR is nearly the same as it's H4 counterpart Scope wise, and aesthetically).
