  1. I had to hunt down each skull on my own, then invite my brother-in-law and sister just to show them where it was, just so that they could get the same.

I remember when the final Mythic Map Pack was released, I had to do a helluva lot of work just to get my bil and sis up-to-date with me; when we actually unlocked Recon, I got to deal with 13-year-olds asking "Hey, can I kill you so I can get Recon?"

Then of course, the teabagging was relentless. Sorry, but I like the Mark V helmet with Katana chest, Recon pauldrons. However, MCC doesn't let you have that kind of deal.

I like displaying what I've earned; yet kids these days would rather jump straight to Katana 'cause that's what's availible.

Dude that skull that you had to jump trough holograms in a certain order, how could anyone ever find that on its own.

  2. I remember back in the days where we had to EARN Hayabusa.

We had to EARN that (shiny, albeit useless) Katana.

We had to EARN Recon armor.

Now, it's just handed out :/

    Such shame. Much wow.

Well, it was difficult, I  had to do the third skull multiple times with splitscreen, my bro saw it on his screen, I couldn't see it on my screen, it was terrible.

  3. If they have any images or anything hidden in the HTML code that would be quite sloppy of them. Tumblr pages however are completely customizable via standard HTML and CSS. Going into the F12 mode won't get you anything worth while since any photo has to be uploaded first and every part of a theme can have a photo as them (avatar, background, header, background of the posts)

Any worthwhile info is probably going to be on there on sunday, I followed the blog.

This reminds me a bit of the Cortana letters

  4. I would have never thought, that I would make an impact on someone on a internet forum, at least big enough to get a mention.

I am doing fine and while my boss blocked netflix, the site is still free, life caught up to me and college has been stressfull, running a guild in ESO is quite stressfull as well.

But besides that: IT IS GREAT TO SEE YOU BACK FISHY!

  5.

I don't think I will pick up another new MGS game until they bring back David Hayter. I can not believe that they made "Jack Bauer" that

Kiefer Sutherland 24 guy into the mix for Snake! I am like so annoyed at this.

In al fairness, big boss ain't solid snake and while his character development is focused upon this. Changing the voice actor was a strange choice, but as someone who has been and still is a long time fan of the series, they picked a great voice voor big boss. Not to mention that there are rumors that Solid Snake will make an appearance.

If you play ground zeroes you will notice that this snake is not the Solid snake or naked snake we know.  Keither Sutherland delivers a unique voice to an already unique character. Give it a shot,  ya might like it.

  6. The way that MP (at least in the beta) was with sliding, thruster packing, ground pound, shoulder charge... it leads me to believe this game is set up more to favor Spartans anatomy and style rather than the Elites. Thruster packing Elites just doesn't seem right, neither does some of the things the Spartans were doing in the beta did. Since all of this stuff can be turned off though, it could mean Elites make a comeback but not in true multiplayer, however I doubt we see them in the game at all. Openly Optimistic, Heavily Doubting though.

343I stated that they wanted to give spartans the feeling of being a walking tank. To even the playing field while yet keeping the individual progress of getting your own play style. Some people will focus on the ground pound others on other options like locomotion. I think of what I have seen in the beta, spartans ould easy out manouver an elite.

So Elites need their own way of movement, the covenant is a force to be reckoned with or else humanity would not have had trouble with them all.

They're going into a direction I quite like, because for the first time I felt like a genuine super soldier.

  7. ESO wasnt really that fun for me compared to skyrim, normally these games are about the player and how the world bends to your whim, but ESO doesnt give me that feeling, i do like to play it though, but bethesda is making another game to be a follow up for skyrim, leaving Zenimax with ESO,  rumors so far say its "black marsh" as their next target, ill be playing fallout 4 when its out, cant wait for that

ESO was never meant to feel like Skyrim, as someone who has been playing the games since daggerfall, I expected a lot more from Skyrim. It is a good game,  but I finished it 100 % in three weeks. It is a more linear game than other Elder scrolls games and in terms of mechanic it's one he weakest.

Bethesda is currently working with ID on Doom there is no news about a new Elder Scrolls game and Bethesda and Zenimax worked together on ESO it's being managed by Zenimax.

Fallout 4 is a game I am hopig to hear some news for since Bethesda is not giving anything away.

  8.

The reason The Elder Scrolls Online is on the list despite the fact I think you should still pick up the console version when it comes around is because of the game's horrible launch issues, subscription fee, and weak PvE. To say that I should 'expect' PvE to be bad DOESN'T EXCUSE IT. If you say I should expect to get lashed about 7 times with a sharp spear, that doesn't make LASHING ME WITH A SHARP SPEAR OKAY.

You should in no way get an mmo for a console, subs are going a way, I did not say should expect bad PVE, PVE in the game is really good for an mmo and since it's releas the game has been improved a lot.

  9. I am sad with all the hate on Destiny. Sure it isn't the greatest game out there, I wouldn't be the first to admit that. However it isn't that bad of a game either. It has quite a bit of content (compared to other FPS games) and can be quite enjoyable (to me at least). It isn't game of the year material but definitely doesn't deserve to be on a worst games list. Perhaps disappointing but not worst.

I get where you're coming from, but the problem with Destiny lies with some rather faulty design choices and Bungie making certain parts of the DLC only available on ps4 and ps3, getting people to buy a dlc for 20 bucks which has some content only available on another platfform, is a bit of a blamage in my opinion.

  10. ESO is a rather good game to be honest, launch wasn't that stable, but it was just playable (most mmo's have a rather rocky launch.) The game does not look or play like skyrim (thank god) and rather plays like one of the older Elder scrolls game. Tons of content has been added, almost everything has been revamped and combat will be adjusted in patch 6.1 (which has no flaws besides some abillities needed to be balanced). which will be launhcing next week.

An incredibly large world, every single quest has a story (tutorial alone has more story than Destiny.) The world itself is alive and quests have impact on the world (Save a village, they might help you out later.)

The PVP is incredible and puts you against a few hundred other players in full on war and the PVE is responsive and works just as well, class building is really well done, since you class does only pre-eterminse 3 skill lines.

I would have put Destiny on there, that game is broken by the developers choice.

  11. I'll take the opinion of a halo pro player as to what should and should not be contained in halo game from a competitive standpoint over a casual any day of the week.  To NOT do so is very short sighted, because a pro player understands the game to a much greater extent than any casual ever will.  This is due to the fact that they have put in much more time into the game  and are PAID to play it.

Now as far as non competitive play is concerned, anyone can weigh in.

The term "dedicated servers" regardless of the technical explanation behind them, is marketed by gaming companies such as 343 to indicate that the connection and overall experience will be better, and that everyone would essentially be on an even playing field, with no one having a "host adv".   Instead of delivering on this selling point, 343 made halo MCC such that in matchmaking, one person is the host, and everyone else who is playing experiences more lag than the host.

Do you know what the current # of XB1's and PS4's sold post Christmas is?  Not that it matters because I'm not even sure how Microsoft vs PS4 is relevant to my statement of not buying games from broken companies like 343.

I know the xbox one outsold the ps4 in November.

Pro players are not the main audience for a game, they are a group to be considered, but for the few that "mastered" the game, a rather small group which holds no merits to the main audience.

343 is using dedicated servers since launch, as Twin explained dedicated servers alone do no solve problems, but  there is no host advantage, why hosts then? Because you need a host as measuring point for server stability and client to client measuring, the other reason could be that the  "old" games have not been build for dedicated server systems and they needed a workaround. For the rest the games are as similair as the originals

The reason Halo 5 runs better than the MCC, is that the game has been build for dedicated servers since development, trying to remodel games which are build for p2p networking, is a monumental task. Bringing apparently the problems which could not have been tested before hand.

  12.

I know that's y I posted this so they could hopefully do something about it before halo 5

Well 343i won't read it here, we are a fan forum, ya might try on Halowaypoint.com

What is your opinion on the plasma grenades, they feel a lot weaker in my opinion.

  13. It can kill someone full shield if he is standing on it. So maybe extra damage, but like you said, without any proper measuring tools, it's just guessing. The radius seems to be the same though, I would notice radius increase to be honest.

  14. Yeah it could be extra bleed through, or an increased radius. But from what I noticed I would go for extra bleed trough, the grenades pack a harder punch. half shield, one grenade is enough to kill if you're approximately

a metre or half near it.

  15. for your info, before competitive shooter actually became something, games such as Doom and Quake already implemented sprint, most shooters have sprint.

The first game that coined terms as team deathmatch, capture the flag and arena type shooter is Quake 3 arena. The game allows sprint and toggle sprint.

your opinion on sprint is incredibly empty, going to sites which seem to think of themselves as pro, would add nothing to it.

Halo 5 feels as Halo should feel to once again be an arena type shooter.

Wether you like it or not, most reactions to the beta are extremely positive.
