Battlefield: Hardline has had the gaming community buzzing since it's announcement several days ago by Steve Papoutsis, the company VP and general manager, and today in typical fashion we have received a leaked trailer. Polygon.com, the only ones with an intact trailer after Electronic Arts took down the original video and any copies, posted the trailer which showed off the game's fresh new style of a Cops and Robbers scenario. They showed off the campaign, taking place in Omaha as you take on the role of a detective hunting down criminals and stopping heists. They also showed off new multiplayer modes like Rescue, in which you try to rescue hostages, pretty straightforward, and Heist, in which you either commit a heist or try to stop it. It's all very exciting, and will launch supposedly this fall on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.

The next Battlefield title will likely be called Hardline. This is according to a mistake in the Battlelog update.

The title will be a spinoff with a Cops and Robbers theme and will be developed my Visceral Games (known from the Dead Space series).

The details that have been found include the logo and a piece of artwork.

It also includes icons for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC.

So don't worry current gen console holders, no need to part ways from your old and trusty console .

These details were spotted on the servers of EA of which they have now been removed. But not before the Interwebz got hold of it.

There were also some details on the classes. The classes will be called The Enforcer, The Mechanic, The Operator and The Professional.

And some details on gametypes. Which will be called Blood Money, Carrier Assault and Bomb Squad.

Besides from that there has been a reference to an unknown map and a picture of a welcoming screen for the participants of the Beta.

The Twitter account of Battlefield Daily has also found some interesting images showing medals and equipment.

These images highly suggest that the next setting will indeed be Cops and Robbers.

(Although I've never seen police use a crossbow...)

EA has not confirmed this to be legit. So I guess it will once again all come down to E3!

Evolve Confirms Release Date

Evolve, from the creators of Left 4 Dead, has received massive hype following the announcement of four new character classes, as well as it's presentation at PAX 2014. According to Polygon.com, 2K has announced some exciting news for fans of the game, a confirmed release date in the fall line-up of October 21st, 2014. Evolve could receive some trouble at launch however due to the fact that a wealth of other hit titles will be releasing during that month like Batman: Arkham Knight, Alien Isolation, and Driveclub just to name a few. As previously announced, it will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 world-wide. You can pre-order to get a few bonuses like the Monster Expansion Pack, which includes a skin for your Goliath.

Star Wars Attack: Squadrons Cancelled by Disney

After the cancellation of the promising Star Wars 1313, fans were skeptical about a new title under the name Attack Squadrons, but with a fairly successful closed beta, we were hopeful that the game would outlast, it did not. According to the official site, StarWarsAttackSquadrons.com, development stopped after careful deliberation about other star wars outlets. They said specifically, "After much consideration, we have decided to cease development so that we can focus on other Star Wars game experiences. We truly appreciate the time you spent engaging in the beta." No other information was released on the unfortunate cancellation, but this could lead to good things such as other ventures in the Star Wars franchise, that will hopefully not be cancelled.

Minecraft was one of the most popular titles on the Xbox 360 when it was released, and the PS3 version sold very well alongside it, and now another edition of Minecraft has been announced. According to Xbox.com, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be releasing this August on Xbox Live, with the later disc version not announced as of yet. As well, you can transfer date from your Xbox 360 version to the superior copy, with skins and maps making the jump, but some skins will require some patience to be added back, as a few were left out. Upgrading will cost $4.99 USD, and can be done via disc or digital account.

Metro Redux's details have been revealed today, according to GameInformer.com, the game will receive the standard Next Gen make-over, 60 Frames per Second, and 1080p HD on all three platforms. Metro: 2033 will be upgraded massively, receiving an engine overhaul on an entirely new one, AI advancement, and implementation of the Mask Wipe mechanic and animation, as well as texture upgrades for both games. As well, the fan requested additions of being able to observe the player's watch and check inventory. A digital release will be available this summer for $24 each on the Xbox Live Store, PSN, and Steam, with full retail releases side-by-side with the downloads.

EXTERNAL STORAGE SUPPORT

With this update the Xbox One will be able to support up to two external hard drives at the same time. This will update allow the user to keep as much data as he desires on his external storage device, keeping the Xbox One's storage nice and clean. There will even be a one-step option to copy entire games to the storage device. Then whenever one needs to access this data on another Xbox, they will only have to sign in to their Xbox Live account and verify that they are indeed the owners of the content.

REAL NAMES FOR FRIENDS

The Xbox One allows the user to have an incredibly large number of friends-1,000 to be exact. With all these friends it can be hard to remember gamertags, which is why this June users will be able to find one another without the player's gamertag. They will be able to easily find friends using only their name. Every player will have full control of who views their real name, there will be options for sharing with all Friends, only specific friends, friends of friends, or no one. It is also important to note that no one in-game will be able to see players' real names.

SMARTGLASS UPDATE

Smartglass will be updated to contain all the features of OneGuide and support for Universal Remote Control. This will allow users to access all of their TV listings, channels, and App channels form their Smartglass device. Smartglass will also feature new ways of comparing stats with friends and the option of getting notifications when friends sign in or begin broadcasting a game- Just like being on the console itself.

TV AND ONEGUIDE OPENING IN MORE PLACES

In April specific members of Xbox Live were granted access to the features of TV and OneGuide. These features will now be available to Xbox Live members in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. To take advantage of this, members will only need to have an HDMI connection between the TV and XBox One.

NEW BENEFITS FOR GOLD MEMBERS AND MORE

Xbox Live Gold members will have access to a new hub containing Games With Gold and Deals With Gold. For more reading on June's Games With Gold Click Here.

This update will also allow members without a Gold subscription access to many gaming and entertainment apps. Automatic sign-in's will also come with this update.

This update will be hitting the Xbox One in June.

Activision and Blizzard's New Games took Seven Years

Today, an announcement came in from Fool.com that Activision and Blizzard are set to release two new games. These will go alongside Activision's two hit titles, Destiny and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare this fall and took seven years between them to make. With both having a wide variety of healthy titles under their belt, it's hard to figure out if this seven years is going into entirely new franchises to bring to competition, or a well-cooked revival of an older franchise. Either way, this time could hurt them as well, as certain titles that have taken a long time to build end up cobbled and sloppily done as work was scattered everywhere and too much was put into it.

The Division gets a Release Date

Ubisoft's new title with signed exclusive content deals for the Xbox One, Tom Clancy's The Division, has gotten it's release date, an unfortunate push-back. According to Ubi.com, the game will launch a year later then originally expected, in 2015. It will of course launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, excluding all previous generation consoles with far superior hardware requirements. The dev team stated in an update, "We are creating something we are really proud of and we don't want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it's ready." They also confirmed an E3 appearance, as to which console's expo they will be showing up to, we are unclear, but with the aforementioned exclusivity agreement with Microsoft, it's likely to be shown at the Xbox Conference.

Assassin's Creed III Director Rumored to be on Far Cry 4

Alex Hutchinson has certainly made his name in the gaming community, whether you like his titles or not. He worked on the poorly to averagely reviewed Spore and Army of Two, and when he moved to Ubisoft, he went to work on Assassin's Creed III, now apparently working on Far Cry 4. IGN.com stated that according to close sources to the game, Far Cry 4 will feature his involvement. This could be a grace or a nail in the game's coffin, as Alex's previous titles were not taken well critically over in Electronic Arts, and Assassin's Creed III fared no better.

It is hard to debate that Ubisoft's Far Cry 3 was one of the the highest rated and most well achieved games of 2012, being given near infinite praise by critics all around the gaming community. Today, on Ubi.com, Ubisoft placed a pre-order page up for the game's ambitious sequel, Far Cry 4. The game looks to be a far cry from it's predecessor, as located in the harsh wild regions of the Himalayas, in Kyrat. Players will also have access to an array of weapons, mechanisms, and wildlife to plow through in an "Exotic open world landscape". The game is available for pre-order at multiple retailers on all major platforms, excluding Wii U. Ordering comes with an immediate upgrade to the Limited Edition and bonus DLC.

Bungie has announced that developer Roger Wolfsen, along with a small group of fans, have been working to keep Halo PC online following Gamespy's shutdown.

"A small group has been quietly preparing for the shutdown of the GameSpy Master Server (which provides the list of Halo servers) and they are finally ready to discuss their work. The group consists of Roger Wolfson aka Sawnose (of Bungie), Btcc22 (of HAC2), Kornman00 (of OpenSauce) and myself, Technut (of PÕQ Clan).

As a result of their work, especially Btcc22 and Roger, Bungie will be releasing version 1.0.10 of Halo PC and Halo CE soon, which will include the fix for the Lobby!"

The update will ensure steady, reliable servers for Halo PC players to continue playing online multiplayer. Bungie will be releasing this update soon.

As you can see, a very large number of games on many platforms will be losing online support, this is very disheartening news to many gamers.

EA has released an official statement along with the announcement of this list saying:

"Since GameSpy’s announcement, our teams have been working to evaluate options to keep services up and running. Unfortunately, due to technical challenges and concerns about the player experience, we do not have a solution at this time. Online services for EA games on the GameSpy platform will be closed down at the end of June."

You can see from this statement that EA is indeed working hard to keep at least some of these games online. Though some of these games were already set to lose their online support due to Nintendo discontinuing their Wi-Fi connection services.

Yes Games With Gold launches on the Xbox One in June, which is a lot sooner than what a lot of people expected, the launch is to mark the one year anniversary when it first launched on the Xbox 360. The two games that will be available to download for free are "Max: The Curse of Brotherhood" and "Halo: Spartan Assault."

Phil Spencer made the announcement earlier today on Xbox Wire.

"The program will launch on Xbox One with “Max: The Curse of Brotherhood” and “Halo: Spartan Assault.” A single Gold membership will get you access to the free games for both Xbox One and Xbox 360."

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood that released just last December is a 2-D side scrolling game developed by Press Play which is a sequel to "Max & The Magic Marker".

Halo: Spartan Assault originally came out for Microsoft Windows and Windows Phone last year and then released on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

There will also be three titles to download for free in June for Xbox 360 users, the additional title on top of the two gold subscribers originally get is also to celebrate the one year anniversary. The three free games are "Dark Souls,” “Charlie Murder” and “Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.” So by looks of this announcement Xbox 360 users will get a total of five games for free in June as they can also get the two free games that are coming to the Xbox One.

Microsoft has finally heard the community's cries and decided to release a Kinect-free Xbox One! The console will retail at $399 (the same price as the PS4) and will start shipping in a little less than a month, on Monday June 9th!!

Hopefully this will allow more people to make the shift from the Xbox 360 over to the Xbox One, in addition to helping Microsoft catch up to Sony in hardware sales (the PS4 has sold 3 million more units than the XB1 to date).

Any of you guys going to go out and buy a Kinect-free XB1 on June 9th?! I already have one and personally believe the Kinect is an important part of the console and its user interface (some might disagree) so I don't feel cheated by the price drop.

The Elder Scrolls Online Delayed on Consoles

Zenimax and Bethesda's newest issue in the Elder Scrolls series, a push into the new frontier of MMOs for the franchise, The Elder Scrolls Online, is apparently going to be delayed on the next generation, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to the official Elder Scrolls site, ElderScrollsOnline.com, the Xbox One and PS4 versions were delayed due to Zenimax's vie to deliver an experience worthy of Elder Scrolls on the consoles, as well as issues on the PC version making dents in the development. As well, an agreement was worked out with Microsoft and Sony to allow players to access the game on PC first, and for $20 more, upgrade to PS4 or Xbox One later on when the versions release. An added bonus to this deal is an extra 30 days for free, though the forced $15 fee to unlock the rest of the free months is still a snag unto the offer.

Titanfall Hinted at for PlayStation 4

A well known leaker named Tidux on Twitter.com says that Titanfall is in the works for PS4 and could release soon. Now, what makes Tidux somewhat credible is that he recently leaked the PlayStation 1.70 update, which turned out to be completely true. This rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, as the exclusivity agreement has not been confirmed to be null and void just yet. Evidence does hint at a future sequel on the system, but as for the original, it's all speculation until we get an official announcement, but this leak does hint at some interesting things.

The Beta for Destiny is coming in July, two months before the official release date as the report shows but no full date for the beta release has been given yet. There are speculations that it could launch on Bungie Day (July 7th) which is pretty safe to assume as it is Bungie's own annual festivity and what better way to celebrate it than launching the Beta on that day. But whatever the date is Playstation fans will be first to play it as Bungie announced last year that the Playstation will get early access to it.

It is not yet confirmed how long Xbox fans will have to wait for it to come to the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One after it releases on the PS3 and PS4, it could possibly be something along the lines of a week or so. To gain access to the beta you have to pre-order the game to receive a code at participating retailers where you then enter it over at bungie.net.

Showtime Vying for Deal with Halo TV Series

The ever famous Halo TV series directed by Steven Spielburg may be shifting from it's Xbox One exclusivity according to Variety. Variety.com says that the show, as well as the deal with Showtime, have been underway for nearly a year and it's been a difficult process, as Halo is such a prime asset to Microsoft. As well, tensions arose because both sides have been charting new frontiers for a new show to air. Nancy Tellem had brought up the show profusely at the New Front presentation recently, but Showtime wasn't mentioned strangely. Representatives on both sides refused to comment on the matter as of yet.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC to come to Xbox First

Activision's newest title in the Call of Duty franchise, Advanced Warfare, seems to already have exclusivity deals on the way with Microsoft and the Xbox. According to Xbox.com themselves, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC will come to Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms before Playstation and PC. This shouldn't count as a surprise, considering Call of Duty: Ghosts also had timed DLC for Xbox One and 360 platforms. The page reveals a wealth of other content as well, such as the name of the leader of this Private Corporation, called Atlas, the man's name is Jonathan Irons.

Borderlands 2 Vita Edition Downgraded to 2 Player Only Co-op

Borderlands 2 on PSVita was a highly hyped title, mainly due to the promise of a full open world game like Borderlands with four player cooperative play in the palm of your hands, unfortunately, this won't entirely be the case. On a blog on PlayStation.com, focusing on the testing of Borderlands 2 on the Vita, Justin Massongill, Sony's social media specialist, stated that the game was being downgraded even though they had aimed for four player parties. He said that "while they [sCEA] strived to include four-player co-op in the game, they made a decision late in their development cycle to focus on providing the best two-player-only co-op experience possible." This decision could impact the sales of the system's bundle with the game now, as many players mainly pre-ordered for the feature they had been promised.
