Halo 5 new multiplayer gametype and no initai PvP for Destiny

Unease Peanut

A new Halo 5 multiplayer modus in the making!

343_Industries_logo-500x223.png

Although we don't have much info on the upcoming Halo title we now do know 343i wants to implement a new modes in the Halo 5 multiplayer.

343i has started hiring for a person who can:

-Implement and execute competetive multiplayer features

-Fine tune the existing multiplayer experience

-Create and implement a brand new multiplayer modes

Now the last one seems highly interesting since even 343i doesn't know what it'll be. Although they would have to give their blessing first.

What kind of modes would you like to see in Halo 5?

"And now for something completely different."

Destiny will have no initial PvP.

Got the game and wanna shoot some other players?

Tough luck, because Bungie has made it so that you'll first need to play a couple of hours before you can blast your opponents to bits.

Now I know this sounds bad but there is logic behind this madness.

In Destiny you will start without a 'super attack' and without this you'd be completely destroyed by opponents who do have this ability.

And who likes getting blown up without defence?

In order to 'unlock' competetive multiplayer you'll first have to complete several missions, get you super attack and find a special weapon.

Only then you'll fully understand how the game works and you'll be on your merry way.

See at as some kind of tutorial.

There hasn't been much info on the competetive multiplayer side of Destiny so far.

Keep an eye out on E3 this year.

Do you like the way Bungie handles this situation?

As always leave answers and comments down below!

Thank you for reading! :D

343 ive been enjoying halo for quite some time and I would like the Halo 3 rank system, also have a classic Halo game type and then your new game type so u can compromise with the community and not have a bunch of hate.

Halo 3 had the best ranking system. It made it challenging and addictive. It provided something to strive for that had more value than an unlockable helmet. Guys aren't fashionistas and if it doesn't provide an advantage in game, then it isn;t that big of a deal. It was hard to climb the ladder but it gave more cred based on skill than just a number of games played or credits earned. The competitive nature of halo made it more worthwhile for halo die hards and made the gameplay last years instead of weeks. Now halo is put on the shelf after 2 or 3 weeks of matchmaking because there is no incentive or challenge to peak interest. Ranking systems made choosing team mates more critical, and promoted clans, and real community effort beyond just playing with random players all the time. I would rather play with a real team and friends than with random strangers. It strengthened the halo community and provided a competitive framework that many people long for in the gaming community. It would bring back the old schoolers that started on halo 1 &2 competitive gameplay.

we used to have parties and link four Xboxes together in different rooms and have team battles galore. It was a blast and the best gaming had to offer.

I never got past 36 or 37 in the ranking system but it gave me something to work for and kept me playing.

Halo 2 kicked butt because it had all of the glitches built in that would super jump you into great sniping positions and it was fun to master all of the hidden tricks. Easter eggs and glitches that provide advantages are sorely needed and bring more diversity and dimension to the game. Using the map as a tactical advantage is what made halo so fun.

Halo 5 would serve itself best if it had a clan battle mode that allowed clans to make their own maps and battle intense large scale wars. It would give players an insentive to become part of a team and it would boost social interaction and competitive play. It would bring back life to the gaming system and it in itself would sale Xboxes and halo games.

Imagine a halo game with 100 vs 100 on a humongous map with vehicles and spawned equipment. Tie that together with objectives that weaken enemy defenses, like stations that provide hud maps to players, communication links to different squadrons, destructible barriers that make penetration to vulnerable targets more accessible, or that opened up spawn points closer to enemy objectives to give quicker access to their defensive points and spawning equipment.

If you linked all this with the ability to diversify communications between different squadrons, higher ranking commanders that have access to real time field hubs that give them access to the full field of battle that help them coordinate attacks between squads, and their squad leaders, it would organize gameplay and communication, and give it a level of coordination and direction that has not been seen before. It would give next gen gamers a game that is worthy of a 500 dollar console and it would bring lots of players to the table. With the computing power of servers the game would be able to run smoothly online, and it would add a level of coordinated gameplay that is needed and wanted by many.

343 if you want any more ideas just send an email to my email address and I would be happy to give you some ideas that might be worth looking into. I am not a designer, but I generate ideas from the hip and have loved halo games for years and have been waiting for a revival and evolution in the game for years.

A suggestion, you should really look into hiring some of the community that have created jtag packages because i have seen some really good ones like

i believe they would be well worth implementing in the long run because a lot of the community have been wanting features like this but but with microsoft on constant patrol, they are too afraid to jtag themselves and its quite a hassle to do so. So yeah you should look into hiring some of the people who create jtag packages. There are some amazing ones out there. Also you should bring back forge world but extend the build boundaries so we can build on those large flat grassy areas. Amazing stuff.

Bring back race, have community-friendly game-types, more dynamic invasion and for crying out loud, bring all the gametypes from Halo 3, Halo: Reach and keep those in Halo 4, remake them and make it more customisable as before so players can stay creative.

Bring back traditional halo multiplayer.... and to do this look at Halo 2 and 3. don't add too much cause the more you add the less it feels like halo.  bring some new vehicles, maybe bring back dual wielding.  The Halo 4 ranking system needs to be squashed.  And the maps that are made by forge should not be in matchmaking so much, they lag very badly.  Take time on the maps

Halo 5 or even Halo 6 should end up being the best Halo game ever. I always like something when I have more variety. This means I want all the weapons and vehicles from every Halo game so far and more, bringing back old maps and having new ones, longer missions with all the old enemies even some of the prophets species, duel wielding should def come back, and everyone knows Johnson didn't really die... again, so he needs to be in the next game to, maybe even play a mission with him like Halo 2 let us with the Arbiter. or maybe a side game with just him, explaining how he got out the first time, or his past. little off subject there but what ever. Also needs to have a totally awesome legendary pre-order kit, like reach had. It would be nice for campaign to have different people so they could be in the cut scenes like on Halo 3 and we should totally have to fight some awesome boss at the end of the campaign like on Halo 2, because Halo 4's seemed kind of forced even if the end looked awesome. and earlier when I said all enemies, i meant like the brutes and drones and the guys that gave the enemies shields on Halo 3 ODST, Like everyone we have fought before.

On another not, if we had one pc flood for every infected on Infection, it would be super cool. or you could have a a firefight were there is just flood attacking instead of the Covenant... and in other game types, please let me drive a Pelican!!! Halo fans have wanted to do that for so long and you would be their hero if you did that!

if you need more advice, or if anyone wants to talk halo! email me or something at [email protected]

I think There should be a game type called " PARTY TIME!. " All weapons set to random. All vehicles random. Jump height 125%. Player speed 125%. No grenades. Bottomless clip. Free for all. Radar at 150 meters. No armor abilities. X2 overshields. Then to top it all off, 343 should add a shotgun that shoots sparkles and tiny discoballs. If that becomes a gamemode, I would probably only play that one. Thanks a lot -Bob P.

I do believe crises 3 has a similar mode but I am confident that 343i could improve what I said and go somewhere with it.

for halo 5, or whatever they're gonna call it, they should add Jun from Reach, and Kelly, Fred, Sam, Linda, and Fhajiad from the books and Forward Unto Dawn.

The multiplayer system, where people vote for the map to play on is soo terribly bad! The fantastic halo maps are the thing that I like about playing halo online. And I want to pick the map I want to play, not vote! Like in Battlefield 4 for example. Fix it please or you will probably be on halo and xbox live customer short.

you need to give some power to the players to innovate games and maps and make them public so that they could choose to play custom games built by the community. The most popular maps and game types could be added to regular matchmaking or just make custom games their own category like snipers and capture the flag are. a description of the gameplay, the objectives and starting weapons would help players decide which custom they would like to try. It would keep things fresh, inspire creativity amongst the halo community and give people the opportunity to play things in the community that others have created. It would boost the purpose of forge and allow the forge artist a great way to display their art and skill. It would give players more power and freedom of creating and playing the games that they want to and it would provide them a community to do it with. It sucks to spend large amounts of time on creating cool maps and not being able to play full matches on it, unless you happen to have a grip of friends playing with you. It would also give you the ability to earn credit and level up in competitive game types.

Forge should keep the innovations coming with more options, endless budgets, gear, weapons and ease of use. It would be good for making maps multilayered, a cool use of space, and dimensional.
