The 343Industries Community Forum Forge Project
Guys this is a really cool idea started by SikSlik7. The Community Forge Project is about members on this site getting together and building some awesome maps. New or old, experienced or non experienced, he's inviting anyone and everyone to come together and Forge a map that we can play on and call our own. It's a brilliant idea.
...but the purpose of the project is to create maps together, instead of one or two people creating a map.
This is a beautiful idea and I want in. Great job SikSlik.
Tuesday Night Tests
Member of the Month, AbleSir Thomas of The Halo Forge Epidemic runs Tuesday Night Tests which is a lobby for testing maps. It's a really fun time and they take place Tuesdays at 7PM EST. So if you want your map posted or if you'd just like to attend TNT clickhere.
AbleSir Thomas was able to give me a rundown of what happend at this week's testing.
Map: Vanguard 3.0
- We tested this last Tuesday. Crimson took feedback and completely reworked his map. The map was a huge improvement and a blast to play.
Map Variant: Bespin: Cloud City
Gametype: Star Wars Battlefront Conquest
- We had a few connection issues. Most of the lobby lagged out about half way into the game. The map was fun and the game-type was interesting.
Gamertag: Blaq Cloud
Map Name: Elysian
- Had some fun testing this. The maps wasn't an "oddball map", but the layout was solid and generally good. Probably best for ctf or extraction.
Gamertag: AbleSir Thomas
Map Name: Impass
- The test was good and i gathered allot of quality feedback. I've already reworked most of the map based on the last test.
Gametypes: Big Team Infinity Slayer
Player Count: 16
- This was submitted through blueprint. I really enjoyed our game on this map. It had allot of verticality and an interesting layout
Get A Clue Forge Contest
The Get A Clue Forge Contest submission deadline is long overdue. Master Debaytes is hosting test lobbies for the maps and you can find them over on our affiliate site,HaloCustoms.
Such an aesthetically pleasing map. Wolf Dargo's creation Tallac is a large scale map that plays best with Slayer gametypes like Infinity and Team Regicide. If this screenshot doesn't get you then check out the submission thread for more info. Find the map download threadhere.
Adamj of the News Group posted this the other day. Could the next Xbox be called Xbox Infinity? Check out his new topichere.
This week's Hot Topic is hysterical. It is a joke thread but it's really funny to see the ideas this guy comes up with. BurningHero74's 'Halo 4 really needs to stop copying...' thread is about how Halo 4 copies another game. Now the usual argument is about Halo being like CoD now and all that but he takes an interesting approach to this one and goes as far as saying that it copies Super Mario! It was so funny I used the thread rating feature that nobody uses. Check it out and make a comment on ithere.
Halo: Reach Play Date
Probably the best turnout the Reach Play Date has seen in a couple of months. We actually had a lobby of 16 people at one point, but not everyone was from the site. We played one of Invasion, Slayer, and other fun gametypes. We had a good time overall and hopefully everyone will return next week for Halo 3.
Mr. Bashful Brute, D-38 Boss, skummgummigubbe, Mr. Biggles, HaloGeek, Jl1223 X, Elite, AbleSir Thomas, Gazzy Mill Mill, Elite SnIp3r, Frankenzer
We're always looking for your Play Date ideas, please post them inhere.
