  1. Such a thing really has no purpose in a Halo game since they already have the gun's sights linked up to your heads up display and you have a digital zoom (which in other games is what they use this feature for - either crosshair or zoom).
  2. Apparently some things have happened since then. Alternatively they could as has been suggested not be a jetpack, but be zero-g thruster that would have been there all along, but would have been useless in any planet/ringside environment that we encountered during the game.
  3. funny just like under Chuck Norris' beard is another fist Clearly you never saw the video where they actually showed this is true.
  4. Maybe. I hope so, as it would be really cool to have, but they're working with pre-existing code so it could easily not happen. I'm not sure how integrated the Theatre mode is in Halo 3 and Reach so I can't say how hard it would be to implement. But just because it was done for ODST is no indication of what will be done for Anniversary since ODST was new code and so they could put the theatre in from an early stage of development.
  5. Yes. They're not changing the main code of the game. Everything will play exactly as it did 10 years ago. They're adding a few hidden things but other than that everything will be exactly the same except in the multiplayer which will use the Reach Engine.
  6. We know what's under the helmet. It's another helmet.
  7. Where did they show the Anniversary menu and can you say 100% that it is the final version and not just a demo version that they put in so as not to spoil any features they don't want to discuss yet?
  8. Multiplayer uses the Reach Engine so you'll likely have the same options for customization that you had there. Campaign will probably be different. It would take a fair amount of coding to let you have a whole armoury for use in the campaign, and it wouldn't make sense for you to be able to change, since unlike in Reach where you are Noble-6 and so how you customize your armour is how you would do it ingame, in Halo: CE you are the Master Chief and he has his armour the way you've already seen it.
  9. Highly unlikely. As good as consoles are, they are still limited at the moment in the amount of potential they have for user created content. For the moment PCs are vastly superior to consoles in their mod-ability due to the relative ease of getting to gameplay files to modify them in interesting ways. If Anniversary gets a PC version (which seems unlikely at this time - though possible in the future) then maybe there will be a custom edition. Until then, don't hold your breath.
  10. Well there has never been forge in campaign so that's out right off the bat and since the multiplayer maps are using the Reach engine they should already have the majority of what they need to make Forge work there coded. Therefore it is likely that the maps will have Forge. The only question remaining is what kind of integration will there be with the existing Reach multiplayer. We know the multiplayer will be on another disc, so will it be like ODST where you have all the existing Reach maps on it in addition to the new remade maps and will Reach players be able to (eventually) buy these new maps even if they didn't bother to get Anniversary? Or will they be completely separate entities, using the same multiplayer code, but needing to switch discs to go from one set of maps to the other.
  11. Really the only things I'd like to see/wouldn't be too upset about changed/added to the original campaign would be: The ability to trade weapons with marines. Too often I've killed marines for having a weapon I want/being stupid with the weapon they're holding. The ability to board enemy vehicles. - You could kill enemies in ghosts without destroying the vehicle (rarely) but it could be done. Not needed though. The skulls - I'd also like them to hide them somewhere to find, but I'll also take the ODST/Reach style where you just activate them from the lobby The metagame - points for kills and medals popping up in game would be an acceptable but not required feature. Theatre - Being able to get clips from my CE campaign would be nice. The ability to pick up the sword - though in all honesty I did without it in my countless playthroughs so I could go without the sword again. The ability to kill Flood by shooting/meleeing the infection form in the chest cavity. This would make my life so much easier when I get back to the library. Something I want simply because the Halo CE Flood was a ***** to kill if you didn't have a shotgun/pistol, but I really accept the need not to change to keep the same holy **** feeling of the original. Armor abilities, while fun in certain contexts should not be in Anniversary. Vehicle physics should be the same as they were originally. (and none of those bloody invisible vehicle walls that cropped up in Halo 3 preventing me from bringing my mongoose inside the various buildings) The pistol - iconic and must be the same (and thankfully confirmed to be so)
