  1. I'm receiving ridiculous hit detection issues in the original Halo 2 in the MCC. I've experienced this with the BR and Sniper. I am getting the yellowish/whitish hit marks when I shoot that designates a hit on the shield with both weapons, yet nothing is occurring to their shields. I played Halo 2 competitively back in the day and have played intermittently throughout the years since the servers have been cut off. I also used to try my best to play without host so I recall what is like to not have host advantage. I've never experienced this on all my years of playing. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
  2. I've been experiencing a ridiculous amount of hit detection problems in the MCC with the original Halo 2. Is anyone else experiencing these? I've not only experienced it with the BR but also the sniper rifle. I'm getting the yellowish/whitish flash mark that appears with a "hit" but nothing happens to the shield of my opponent. I played Halo 2 competitively back in the day and played intermittently throughout the years even after the servers were shutoff. I've never experienced this before and I always tried to play without host.
  3. I beg to differ since it is televised in South Korea.
  4. You do realize that the new COD does have an actual ranking system that is similar to Starcraft 2's bracket system, and actual competitive COD-play is completely different than your typical Team Deathmatch. The ranking system in Starcraft 2 and Black Ops 2 are more reflective of your actual-skill than True Skill because it is based on individual and team performance and not if a player is able to just play with a great team. Reaching a place in the Master-Tier in the former ranking system actually speaks volumes on the player's skill more so than a number. Halo 3 is a prime example of how flawed that ranking system can be due to the high number of players that were 40+, but in Halo 2 would have never been able to achieve that rank or anywhere near it. Halo has become more noob-friendly than COD. At least COD doesn't continue to change-up their gun-mechanics and game-play every iteration, but keeps it about the same (except MW2 which was the gaudiest of all the CODs). Each Halo since Halo 2 has seen a larger increase in the dumbing down of the gameplay and mechanics in order to appeal to the masses. There is a reason that it has been taken out of MLG's circuit this year.
  5. I completely agree that they removed it due to the lack of people playing it. Thought it was odd since it has always been a staple to all of the Halo titles since H2, and that it gave people who don't like the COD feel of Halo 4 a chance to strip the game down to something very basic. I strayed from Infinity Slayer until now due to the armor abilities and ordinance drops. The jet-packs have always been annoying to me.
  6. So, I loaded up Halo 4 and discovered that there is no more TS Pro playlist. Not only did 343i replace Team Snipers with Team Regicide, but they have taken out the best and most balanced game-type in the H4.
  7. I feel like the BR needs to be converted back to a 4-shot weapon. With it being a 5-shot kill it is at an extreme disadvantage when up against any of the other loadout weapons including the magnum. The DMR, like everyone has mentioned, is too overpowered. I also do not like the fact that you cannot hold your on in this game by yourself, but instead need a teammate in order to take on more than one person. In Halo CE and 2, an individual could confidently take on multiple opponents with or without a full shield and win if their skill was high enough.
  8. I would like to see a non-Forge return of Midship, Lockout, Sanctuary, Relic, Colossus, and Warlock. Halo 4 needs more mid-ranged maps that are symmetrical and open like the Halo 2 maps.
  9. I would like to see instant spawns taken away from Team Slayer Pro, and replaced with a 5 second respawn time. It's annoying that an entire team can continue to come at you in a wave. My friend was able to obtain a triple, double, and another triple kill within 30 seconds due to this annoying feature. The instant respawns take out a lot of the competitiveness that used to be a part of Halo and have replaced it with individuals throwing themselves at you or spawning behind you. I have a lot of minor complaints, but I'll leave off with saying that the 4-shot BR needs to be brought back in order to combat the AR and DMR.
