  1. 117 is a very very good song, also, the one song not composed by davidge, go figure. and really, john williams, before he dies. even if its just for 5 it would be awesome.
  2. I know this has been discussed but I just want to make as big a point about it as possible cause honestly, this Halo 4 music is so not halo I just want to see it changed. Destiny's music thus far, has drums, has the orchestral overtures, its......halo. 343 either needs to find an understudy of marty's, clone him, or negotiate some wild contract with the guy because if halo 5's music ends up like halo 4's.....imma flip. in other news, i'm really not that blown away by destiny so far, i don't see it being "the next halo" but i guess halo took till halo 2 to really kick off so we'll see, but this whole mmo fps or whatever it is doesn't look anything nearly as epic as halo, but then again halo took everyone by surprise. ACTUALLY I JUST HAD AN AMAZING IDEA.....JOHN WILLIAMS. That would be BETTER than marty.
  3. I really am not impressed at all yet, halo will def. stay on for 5 and 6, but destiny looks so different i really don't see a problem. At this point, i don't see it becoming the next halo at all. Also, think of this from a marketing standpoint. The average xbox owner has no idea who bungie is, so saying Destiny by bungie doesn't help, they do that all the time with movies and who actually has been like from the director of tokyo drift?!!? gotta see that. And activision, a smaller company than microsoft, has just a game to sell here. Yes call of duty took over halo but not until it was an established franchise. Microsoft is a HUGE company who has a SYSTEM to sell with Halo 5. The marketing for it is going to be unreal, with name recognition, one of the worlds largest companies backing it and a 8 year development of the 720, its gonna be huge. Activision will put all their might into Destiny, but its a brand new ip, they don't have to backing microsoft has and they have time, like with call of duty or even halo, to grow the brand. Halo 5 will have no issues selling copies.
  4. yeah i see what you mean i kept thinking WHERES THE HUGE EPIC BATTLE, the mammoth level kind of delivered that for me though. The lack of marty's music was huge also, i personally think bungie should loan him out for halos. And mr. long post is right, I am CONTENT, but halo usually blows me away.
  5. they did an ok job of explaining the whole backstory situation. as one who did not read the books i was ok with it. The gameplay was on point, fighting the knights was awesome and a good challenge. The thing that makes it NOT halo is the whole vibe, im fine with the mature take but uhh....where are the marine buddies yelling funny things. They are non existent. It kills the whole vibe and makes one level just blend into the next. I appreciated the liberal use of banshees because we haven't flown one in campaign since halo 2 (and odst). And yes it was short, but halo games become a grindfest, and its not obnoxiously short. Rather play this than grinding away on the level cortana or back tracking in CE. Reach though stayed away from these issues and was certainly longer, but this is only shorter by 1 or 2 hours. Not like it was a 4 hour campaign. tldr: Gameplay: AWESOME Story: ok Atmosphere: whacked out oh and i love vanquish and have no idea how you came up with the comparison, its so different
  6. Remember that moment, remember how fun it was to listen to all the nonsense the marines would say. Halo 4 is seriously lacking in marines fighting with you, which honestly was one of the things that MADE halo. Gameplay wise this was the best halo ever but it was seriously lacking in personality. I get it was a more mature take on the topic, but this oversight really hurt the game.....as did the huge plot hole of SPOILER what the HELL were the covenant doing on requiem.
