  1. with dynamic lighting and the vidual effects that you are given im sure you can remake all your horror maps from Reach, on a side note, "Vastly improoved Forge" is a complete over statement.
  2. Accually, you can do this in Halo 4. Its called Dominion. But what i'd like to see is a few plants and trees as placeable objects, also when changing from one "forge world" to another, then the objects visuals change. For example, you have the same objects in all the forge maps. Say you start in Impact and all the objects are UNSC themed, and then you go into Ravine and then all the objects are Forrunner themed.
  3. My favorite feature, is how the objects change design when changing Forge Worlds. Plus the light maps. I mean, sure, the new tools are niffty, but they are not that significant. In other words I could live without them.
  4. Yes. I think it would be cool to edit lighting and wheather, however, that would take alot of work (work for 343), mostly unessecary work too. I just hope they add a few foliage objects, atleast 5 mid to large trees and a couple of shrubery and grasses, if they did that, then I would for sure buy Halo 4.
  5. I am going to remaster my old maps, I had already made them in Halo 3, and then remasterd in Halo Reach, and now in HALO 4!
  6. I would build them all! I am a professional forger (or atleast I like to think so )
  7. The point to this thread is that hopefully I will catch peoples (343's) attention so they dont make the same mistakes Bungie made with the Halo Reaches Forge World. One of the biggest mistakes (in my opinion) that Bungie made in the Halo Reach Forge World is, that they had specific plans for each forgeable area, like the Rock was used for Pinnacle, the Cliff Side was used for Asylum, the Canyon was used for Hemmorhage, etc and the rest of the areas are extremely unusefull such as the Island, the Island is pretty mucha map by itself, and the places over the Canyon have no boundaries. This was a mistake, you need to make forging areas that can be redesigned (by the forger) hundreds of times. Most forgers such as myself want to make fun and visually stunning maps made for competetive reasons. I do love the new shadow maps that the objects get or give to the map in the Halo 4 Forge and all the niffty little tools like Magnets, Duplicate and Lock, but we need something that will make a big impact (but "reasonable" ideas) to major forgers. Also I woudl hope that there would be objects that would have similar designs as to what enviroment you are working in, for example, say you have a railing that looks like the Forrunner rails in the Reach Forge World, but in a different enviroment such as a UNSC ship you have the same object but it looks like the UNSC railing, these kind of objects would go along why to helping us forgers make that stunning maps we dream of. Here are some questions that I would like to have asnwered. 1: If you have and entire map built with magnets activated (on every single object), when you select an object will it move the entire network? 2: Can you multi select, for example, select a folder on your computer and the hold shift and select another one, can you do that? 3: Will we see a larger Natural objects pallet?
  8. EVERYONE stop complaining about armor lock!!! seriously, and camo. They are cool abilities (even though I rarely use them) its just another way of testing your skill. What the **** are you doing when you go up against a guy in armor lock? do you just keep on smacking him over and over? here is all the examples of getting yourslef killed by armor lock whores. 1. Standing right next to them will drain your sheild and stun you, then you die. 2. smacking him over and over again will stun you, then you die. 3. going behind them will not work they can turn right towards you after they come out and you got a sticky in your face, then you die. 4. dont just stare and wait for him to come out, especially when theres another guy coming, that usually will get you killed. Things to do to a Armor Lock *****: Just keep your distance, and wait for him. Try and toss nades next to him when his lock is almost up. (dont ever throw grenades when you have teamates near the armor locking *****, cause the explosion gets amplified when near a guy in armor lock.) BUT! KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR RADAR! If there is anohter guy coming either take care of him first and ignore the armor lock guy or just get the hell out of there. one of the most important things to do during a game is keep an eye on your radar! Seriously.
  9. First of all the reason why there is armor abilities in Reach and not in Halo CE is because all the technology on Reach was NEW technology and when Reach fell then they lost it all. However I personally didnt really like the idea of armor abilities but it turned out kind of fun. Second, 3 hits to kill an enemy takes way to long, if it took three hits to kill a person then it would start to drop stratagies like flies. Two hits makes so if, in certain situations you can still survive after winning a beat down battle. I mean if you were to just kill a guy with three hits and another guy came running for you then your pretty much screwed, but if its two hits then you have time to improvise or even just run away. also the reason why Halo 1-3 was so fun and Reach is not is because Bungie made them (although Bungie did make Reach, but Bungie handed Reach over to 343 right after they released it.) Another reason why Halo 1-3 was so fun is because Bungie listed to theirs fans (but not too much, cause if they did Halo would suck ;D cause I noticed some ideas that people were throwing at 343, and I just said "WOW! Are you guys retarded?" anyways.) Bungie made games that THEY wanted to play. and, are you stupid? How was Reach not easy to figure out? I found everything just fine. Especially compared to Halo 2s and 3s menus it was almost the same with a few changes here and there.
