cdyblsn Posted June 8, 2011 Report Share Posted June 8, 2011 Hello fellow Halo'ers =], In this thread id like to discuss what u think this new halo will be about and what the giant...blue...glowing...thingy lol will have to do with it all. Could it be a shield world? A forerunner installation gone crazy? or maybe a super sized Monitor of installation 00? Hell maybe its a teleporter to the last of the forerunner? No idea is to crazy except maybe the fact that its Halo kitty wanting to eat the competition lol. My personal thoughts are that its a forerunner installation that is ,how should i say curious, about mc's half eaten ship and starts sucking him and the ship in for processing. It could be a defensive construct like a shield world protecting the last remenants of the forerunners. Since foreunners do not die from old age. Maybe this world is the true last bits of them that escaped the Halo array. Hiding behind their amazing technology from the flood menace. Since the Halo Array wipes out all precursor ( the ones who created the forerunner before they overthrew them and killed all but 1) technology we know it wont deal with them. The Flood is most likely gone. Although knowing about their history would be interesting. We know they were but a powder in a vial in an unknown ship from an unknown specie. humans tested it. it broke out. humans "cured" it. humans fought with forerunner. humans get thrown back in to stone age. flood breaks out agian. 300 year war. humans to dumb to recure it forerunners get screwed. well you kno the rest. My hopes is that Halo 4 will explain more of the Forerunner race. Since their technology was the basis for everything the games and books were. Most everything will trace back to them in some way. So it makes sense that we should learn about our once rivals. The machine is obviously a big part or the key to the story. It is almost definitely forerunner. There needs to be an Enemy and people won't like fighting constant flood all the time, it wouldn't be bad but ya'know. I think it is something with a twist. Could be Forerunners Could be Halsey, and the Remain S-II's and S-III's. Just have to wait till Pax when they release Gameplay for the Campaign and Mulitplayer. killit 95 Posted June 8, 2011 Report Share Posted June 8, 2011 I think it oughta have some of the characters from the first 3 Halo games, like Captain Keys, Sergant Johnson, and Commander Keys in cloning facilites. But it would also be cool if Spark and some foreunners are there. I think it would be very cool if the Arbiter and some flood follow Chief to the shield world as well. Thats my opinion though. Maybe the forerunner race is trapped by their own machines. Unless it has time travel the only main chars left are Lord hood, MC, Cortana, and the arbiter...kinda sad rele. but im sure they will have something new....maybe a forerunner buddy? Maybe like Aerrowflex said u will team up with other spartans. Maybe the enemy will be the remaining San Shyumm (prophets race). Im hoping to c the ship the flood came in on. maybe the original vials. I use to hate the flood. but now i love to hate them. they are an interesting specie. smartalec98 Posted June 8, 2011 Report Share Posted June 8, 2011 i know halo 4 couldnt have been to long after halo 3 because cortana was still there and wasnt to insane or corrupt to have to destroy herself. also john couldnt have been frozen for too long because of how quick he was moving. anyway, my prediction is that john is inside of the micro dyson sphere or whatever the hell its called (its been awhile since i read onyx) or the blue thing he is going towards is a portal to go to the shield world that halsey and the spartans are stranded on, which is a better explanation on whats happening. I'd like to see the last reamnents of the Forerunner. I think the Flood are still around (I know they are) Just wait for Halo Fest at PAX, I know I'll be going, cant wait to see MP and Campaign trailers/gameplay. They damn well better have GAMEPLAY for Halo 4, or atleast do a HUGE discussion on the story, I dont care if we get to play anything, just want to see more. ya dig? As for enemies, seeing as the destruction of the Ark only killed the Gravemind and all Flood on that installation, I think that Flood enemies are a definite. The story could be that Chief discovers that there is yet another, more dangerous Gravemind who has corrupted a Shield World and the AI on it (opening the way for Halo 5 and 6). All those who read the Terminals and the books probably remember how it was mentioned that the Gravemind had corrupted a Forerunner AI before. I think they'll try and make more complex Flood enemies at that. For instance, the Flood Juggernaut was an idea for Halo 2 that never got put in and, to me, it sounded like a friggin' sick ass boss to fight. About the corrupted AI part, I think the Gravemind might turn the Sentinels and Monitors against John (I hate writing "the Chief" over and over lol). Now, without any Covenant to fight, seeing as they're defeated, it would be pretty damned boring to fight the sentinels we all know and love from the previous games. I'm thinking they'll add an additional class of sentinels or two. I would imagine they'd have bipedal ones, maybe similar to the Geth in Mass Effect in appearance, and you can remove their weapons off of them. Also, I'd like to add that I don't think any live Forerunner or Precursor will be encountered. And honestly, I don't want them. Their disappearance and absence makes them seem that much more mysterious, and I like mystery in a story. To sum it all up for those who don't like to read, I think that Chief will really be alone on this one (with no Human or Covenant companions), he will be trying to get home above all else, will discover the corrupted shield world with a second gravemind on it, and there will just be a plethora of new Flood forms and corrupted Sentinels to fight.
